It's probably the way DT plays Curtis, but it almost feels like he enjoys holding this over Portia's head and now what he says goes. Idk, I never liked the pairing so I could be skewed in the way I view it. It's a great way to start a murder mystery. Nina's secret just needs to come out so everything can start coming together. Like I said, I really think Curtis likes holding another secret over her head. The betrayal! Just get out Portia! Find a man you don't have to be perfect and lie to so you can be with him without worrying the other shoe is going to drop every minute.

Yeah, I don't think Brook Kerr necessarily plays it weak, but more backed into a corner and a bit stupidly. She needs to come up with a smarter plan instead of being so reactionary. Go to Michael. Go to Tracy. Use your big brain! And, frankly, give up on Curtis. His judgey behavior isn't worth her time.

I don't mind Portia going dark or even staying a heroine. I just don't think she's going about this Drew stuff the right way. Drew really can't expose Portia without exposing himself to some degree. I hate her acting powerless.

Drew had the same idea I did last week about setting Michael up with an opioid addiction. It would have been diabolical if Willow thought of it. Everything else was pretty boring although I liked Sasha/Nina and Nina/Curtis. Portia is just on my last nerve. Is she planning on being under Drew's thumb forever and ever? She's better off coming clean at this point and salvage whatever she can.

That's where we differ. Holly/Doug 3 were never a couple. Ari/Doug 3 are at least sort of a pairing. Holly and Tate are back together, so any scheming or destroying of a relationship would be on Holly's part at this point. Besides it looks like the two girls barely care and are both going to drop kick Doug when they get out of the kidnapping situation lol. Joy would bring a different dynamic to Stephanie/Alex. She doesn't even have to scheme, but just try to hide the pregnancy paternity from Alex. Plus, there are interesting places to go with Phillip, Brady, Xander, Johnny, Chanel, Belle, etc because these people either have a past with Chloe or Joy has a past with them. Alex, Xander, Johnny all working at Titan with her could be interesting. Anyhow, I have given more thought to Joy than the writers did, but I still think she's a character worth bringing back at some point and very different from Arianna.

I don't think Joy/Ari are redundant. Joy could have moved into the Titan storyline because Phillip gave her a job. Phillip could have pretended to be the father or Joy could have found out about Phillip's secret. Her and Phillip could work together to break up Alex/Stephanie, etc. Ari has her own story with the teens. I do agree Joy was most likely brought in at the wrong time and a casualty of writer changes, but I think Joy/Ari could easily exist on the canvas together.

You are probably right. It looks like AlexAnn Hopkins was only on the show for 5 months lol. I don't think I even had time to fully form an opinion on her. I didn't hate Joy. The show pivoted her from Johnny and Chanel to Alex and the whole thing was a waste. I just think if you are going to make her pregnant by Alex-use that. Otherwise, Joy could have left town and been reset as a character to come back later on. Now she's tied to Alex (assuming she continued with the pregnancy).

I don't know why the show didn't keep Joy around. I assume the show wanted every trace of body & soul gone and I suppose she wasn't terribly popular, but there's at least built in drama having Joy pregnant with Alex's baby. It's better than a romance novel story. And, yes, Stephanie has never had a decent story since Abigail Klein took over. Abigail Klein is more interesting playing herself on the old Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader show lol.

Carnes is definitely lower energy, but I can still see him playing those scenes just differently. Van and Ryan have such opposite takes on the character of Lucas it's almost hard to compare. I actually think both performances work though. Van is still hit or miss for me on the emotional stuff, although I thought he was good yesterday. And, no, there is no reason for Lucas to pull out a gun or threaten violence. He's not that character. It's hard for me to imagine Rory's Michael ever loving Willow. Speaking of Willow does she ever actually work at the hospital? She spent her shift fighting with Lucas, talking to Isiah, creeping on Michael and Sasha, then collapsed into a heap in Drew's arms. She doesn't seem to do any nursing lol. Well, I am not on Sidwell's side. They both suck. I find Sidwell more annoying than Sonny though.

Very morbid. There was no emotional stakes to have her casket there without anyone at the memorial, so why bother? I agree. Lucas did look a bit desperate, but I think of him as a normal character. He's not going against the mob everyday even if he is aware of Sonny's business. That's how a regular person should react to that craziness.

Am I the only one disturbed all these random conversations are happening in front of Natalia's casket at her memorial? I mean, no one liked the character, but that just seem highly inappropriate from a human standpoint.

Good point about Laura. Due to Laura being off screen she missed the Felica/Anna era for the most part. I suppose someone like Tiffany should have been a better friend to her when Laura returned, but Tiffany had tons of other friends. I wouldn't say Laura was completely isolated in her return. She was friends with mostly everyone in the 90's but never developed a super close friendship with another female on canvas. To be honest, did Laura ever really have a close female friend? It seems like Laura builds better friendships with men.

I agree there is a point there about female rivalries being a go to on soaps and are sometimes very flimsy and petty. For example, 75% of Carly's issues and rivalries with women. Conflicts like Brook Lynn vs. Lulu and Emma vs. Joss work given the history and the fact they both need rivals. Otherwise, everyone in town would just be saying how awesome and brave the both of them are. The Gio reveal would have lacked the punch if Lulu wasn't the person who exposed it. Joss's WSB Alias adventure would be duller than it is without Emma always being in the mix. I agree friendships are harder to write and execute well, but there is a time and place for a good old fashion female rivalry.

Today was the 5th or 6th Friday in a row where there was no cliffhanger. The Friday shows are usually decent in content, but Rocco writing an email and Kai/Trina breaking up isn't going to make people tune in on Monday. Is the show behind a day or something? Because besides last week when Rocco went to confront Lulu all these Friday shows these last few weeks would have been better as mid-week episodes.

Morgan died and she didn't come around. At least when Michael got shot Carly was with Jax and he was telling how suicidally stupid she was being. Jax was still the 'heavy' in the triangle, but it wasn't a super villain preaching how awful was. Jax was coming from a realistic place with good intentions. Every character on the show now that hates Sonny is obviously wrong.

Immediately jumped into help Sonny cover a murder by saying she slept with him! So she's not against covering up a murder but also willing to embarrass herself publicly by claiming to have sex with Sonny. Well, if you only saw Brenda's last return I can see you not coming around. It wasn't my favorite. 90's and her 2002 return are excellent.

I can't believe it took you years to come around on Brenda!!😂 Anyway, I can actually see why Brenda and even early Carly would know better, but still have hope. They probably thought Sonny would get out long before he was 60 and had kids and grandkids. It may have been naive, but I never really thought Sonny made it clear this was his life's business forever back then. More of means to an end. Current Carly should know her raging and pleading will do nothing. Her own son died and she still chose to procreate with him and marry him again. So she can claim how upset she is and how awful it's been and whatever, but last year she just helped Sonny cover up Jagger's murder so this is on her too. She's always been a willing accomplice. It's only when she decides it directly affects her she cares. Carly will be back on Team Sonny in a few weeks. I know Brenda would probably be co-signing Sonny's crap if she was still on the canvas. At least she got the truth out of Sonny and realized she needed to leave for herself and her child.

The only time I can ever recall Sonny being truly transparent was when he and Brenda divorced and he told her he craved power and was never leaving the mob. 15 years later it's the same old BS now with more children and grandchildren while acting like everything is under control and he might give power up. It's tired. It's boring. And Carly and Sonny have had the conversation 1000's of times. Carly was better off just sending Sonny a voice note with her concerns. It would have had the exact same effect.

Yes lol! I thought Sweet Bits had cameras after the whole Talia thing and Chanel went to finish Paul/Andrew's wedding cake after visiting EJ. That doesn't completely rule her out because normal people wear clothes more than once, but it could be a start.

I thought MB was okay in the scene with Gio too, but it's a rehash of scenes he's had with his children/family members/girlfriends etc. The whole it's too dangerous to be around me nonsense.

I was just thinking how easy it would be for Chanel to know it's altered because she would have remembered when she wore that outfit.

I wonder if you counted how many times Sonny and Carly have had a version of this same conversation over the years what it would add up to? 200? 300 times? And yet, very little has ever changed lol.

You know, I honestly don't even remember where I heard the Ava being killed off rumor. I just remember hearing it around the time Sonny kicked her out and all the Kristina then Natalia nonsense happened. This is probably pure fanfiction so don't take my word. I thought both Maura and KeMo were on the chopping block and Maura had much more favor with Frank and we know how it ended up lol. Nina and Ava's backstories are so wild I just ignore it all and enjoy the two together. The actors do present a believable friendship.

Yes, I believe you are correct that he was coming and going to a point. From the 90's retelling though Mike didn't come back after Adella married Deke. That's why he didn't know Sonny or Adella were being abused and Sonny hadn't seen Mike since he was a child when Ron Hale's version appeared. Perhaps he could have been in and out of town while Sonny was older, so it's not a huge deal and the story had more flaws than that minor point so whatever.
