I should clarify that I am talking about Villa Blanca which is LVP's Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. It was shown a lot the first two seasons. Then LVP opened SUR and later PUMP and the focus shifted to those two establishments. Villa Blanca was site of the lawsuit made against LVP and Ken. They have apparently been trying to sell that restaurant off ever since.

Villa ROSA is LVP's house tucked between North and South Beverly Park. I too think it is a beautiful lot. I love the lush entrance and glass doors myself (letting in lots of light) -- it must be the height of luxury to have amazing security so that you CAN have glass doors and leave them unlocked!  Love THAT CLOSET (which Kyle has tried and failed to imitate ever since) and her pool. IA about the animal menagerie, it all got a bit too much the last few seasons. But as LVP said, these animals give her love & affection that she craves. I'm sure she wishes her relationships with the HWs was this easy and unconditional. But maybe that has been LVP's problem in the past: thinking of people like pets and dominating the relationship. Sometimes the pet (Brandi) bites you hard.

If LVP and Ken ever sold Villa ROSA (their home), either they are in financial trouble, or they are going back to Europe. I can't see them selling this place unless they absolutely have to. To my knowledge, Villa Rosa is NOT on the market currently!

Oh gosh I read Blanca too quickly and jumped to Rosa!  Lolol.

I view Yolanda and LVP differently than you do, but to each their own for sure. Had Rinna embraced exposing Yolanda the audience would have embraced her. Yolanda was not having a good season that year and the tide was turning against her.

I agree.  I think Yolanda fell out with the audience when she showed her cards that she was anti-LVP.  Then with the Brandy/Kim alliance and how shockingly inarticulate she was about her Lyme... she was sunk.  I'm suspicious of her (esp. with the way she marries and divorces), but give her the benefit of the doubt mostly... I think she suffered from a real language barrier (and probably a very real break with reality).  But what she did deliver was a glimpse into REAL wealth, power, and celebrity in LA.  It's a shame they didn't show more of Eileen's home and work life, because she also had a lot to share as a working actress with a husband from a famous Hollywood family with hot, young stepsons lol.  They should be getting this out of Rinna but she's a little too thirsty for it to come off as authentic as it may actually be. And Erika in that big ass mausoleum in Pasadena isn't bringing this lol.

My worry is that after the lawsuit and the Todds' inability to sell Villa Blanca, LVP needs the Bravo cheque to cover damages and litigation.

I didn't know they were trying to sell.  Despite how I feel about them, while I think the lot is so special, the house is . . . it just doesn't feel like a home, with those glass office building doors and LVP's garish style... then with the landscaping and animals... it's like a crazy, tacky theme park.  But I'm sure it cost them a fortune and I'd understand why they wouldn't want to settle.

Rinna, Kyle, and LVP all played the Munchausen thing wrong. Instead of turning on each other so that nobody looked like they were insinuating the Muchausen allegation, they should have united and called Yolanda to the floor.

Her recovery from "chronic lyme" (which is not a real diagnosis) was downright miraculous once her divorce was tied up in a neat bow, in my humble opinion. If Rinna, Kyle, and LVP had just owned the fact that they all thought she was malingering her symptoms they would have been unstoppable.

It felt like Rinna had all the receipts to level LVP and Yolanda, but she got scared about alienating the audience, which had happened anyway.  Lol.  You could see that Eileen was disappointed she didn't commit to exposing the "truth."  It was all a mess.  And Yolanda was weirdly vindicated and the last scene of the season was post-shot to frame that year as her journey???  But I actually liked Yolanda--maybe she was fake and nutty, but I don't think she revels in being malicious like LVP.  Yolanda was just pathologically jealous of her and did not know how to get a hold of those emotions.

  4. I understand why Rinna won't let it go with LVP... I 100% believe that LVP "suggested" that Rinna defame Yolanda on camera and then when Rinna realized she was left holding the bag solo, she turned on her.  She saw things for exactly as they were--LVP and Yolanda stopping at nothing to ruin each other.  Kyle all but confirmed the stupid Munchausen crap but LVP STILL got away with lying about it.  Meanwhile Ken was spitting out profanities nonstop about Rinna and Eileen... you know who didn't do that to/about LVP?  Harry Hamlin or Vinny Van Patten. Because they're not pigs.  It's crazy to me how teflon Lisa & Ken are.

But I can't argue that Rinna is her own worst enemy.  That crap with Dorit was just beyond, then "forgetting" she said that about Kim... even in the beginning, when she claims she was helping Kim... she knows this medium well--Rinna knew what she was really doing was making a storyline out of Kim falling off the wagon.  She really suffered last season without Eileen... it was clear no one wanted to film with her lolol.  The only actually interesting thing that happened was off-camera with Kyle running into Harry with him wanting to keep Rinna and Kim separated.  Which, btw, I do think was out of line for Harry.  But it doesn't come close to the sh!t Ken says.

Why is Ken screaming at Kyle?

He had an issue with Yolanda as well (yes, it was greatly magnified by Yolanda...but still).

If any other husband on any franchise did this there'd be an uproar.

He gets away with murder.  He is a vile, disgusting, misogynistic creep.  The sh!t that comes out of his mouth to the other hws, to their face or behind their backs, is horrible.  On a show like OC for example, the husbands/boyfriends are held crazy accountable, as they should be... but Ken is coming out with profanities and character defamation like he's Tamra Judge or Kelly Dodd and he's never held accountable.  I don't agree with the other hws' feeble and childish attempts to take down LVP, but it's clear to me that she and her husband are awful c u next Tuesday's that hide behind their British accents and tacky af over-the-top lifestyle to hide their utter treachery.  Irl they may have really redeeming qualities, but on this show they're real pieces of work.  And on pump rules, they both better get wise to the fact that those kids are making the show and generating immeasurable tourist interest in the restaurants.

@DynamiteKiddo IA, the Luann news is disheartening. I hope the lawsuit is merely a case of legally defining what is Luann's and what is her children's, for the sake of both parties (and not a case of the family cracking apart). Ramona and Carole always come for Luann via her kids, so I thought it was brave (or foolhardy) of Lu to admit to Victoria that she was All About Tom and saw her kids less as a result. It did show self-awareness on Luann's part. However, in light of what just happened, it now makes her look like worse.

FYI: Luann is slated to be on WWHL (with Kristin Chenoweth) on Wednesday evening.

Carole has never forgiven Luann for making a big deal out of Adam & Carole... the deepest cut was when Luann called Adam 'Sonja-young.' Carole has always thought of herself as above the other HWs. Even when she is caught doing the same sh*t they all do. Only now that Luann is at a chastened, humbled point in her life can Carole reach out and 'forgive.' But Carole is STILL all about the Mouth-Breather as #1 Priority.

B vs C were a real friendship, which is rare because Bethenny does not play well with other girls. However, Carole fell out of love with being ordered around, and now seems totally over Bethenny. B is trying to paint Carole as inexplicably turning on her à la Jill Zarin, but it is definitely not as b&w as that. (And in hindsight, I sometimes wonder just how b&w the Bethenny/Jill breakup actually was).

I think LuAnn/Carole/Adam is gold and the show prefers to overexpose whatever conflict Bethenny is involved in.  "Not the sharpest tool in the shed" Kristen called it in the beginning that Carole better explain her and Adam to Lu before things get messy.  Heather was blindly (and, to a point, wrongly) defending Carole because that situation was legit complicated.  Carole was spending weekends with LuAnn in the Hamptons and had gone out with Nicole, who was totally heartbroken over breaking up with Adam.  Then after the first week of filming, Carole meets Adam and starts dating him and mentions nothing to LuAnn.  LuAnn had a lot of reasons to at least need clarification on what Carole was doing and why, and she had a right to be protective of her niece (who she's extremely close with) who was understandably shocked and hurt that Adam moved on with a hw and filmed it (so many implications there).  But LuAnn was dead wrong . . . she attacked Carole's character, called her a pedophile and demeaned Adam by constantly referring to him as "the help" and boy toy.  And Adam seemed to basically be part of her family and was very important to Noel.  And up to this season, LuAnn still dismisses their relationship as a "fling."  Like Adam or not (and I think there's enough reason to at least be suspicious of him), he and Carole were together for years and had a much more serious relationship than LuAnn's sham with Tom.  And LuAnn wouldn't take kindly to one of the other hws referring to her Jacques as some light May/December fling.  They were together for as long as Carole and Adam were.

And LuAnn really went after Adam echoing B's concern that he was an "operator" and accused him of using her and Nicole, all the while sponging off her sleeping on the couch in Sag Harbor.  I get why Carole wanted to defend him and set the record straight . . . but in the process, she aired family secrets that involved a teenage Noel.  Not a good look.  Two wrongs don't make a right.

I still don't get why or how Carole and Bethenny became besties . . . but I hope Bethenny started turning on her because she was hurt/jealous that Carole was spending so much time with Tinsley and she was afraid their friendship would fizzle.  But if B started passive-aggressively slandering C for a STORYLINE, she's even more morally depraved than I already thought.  But C attacked every aspect of B's life in her blogs, which is wrong and hopefully it won't be a "get out of jail free" card for B.  Admittedly, by the time season 3 started filming, "fame" had completely ruined Jill Zarin and turned her into a pretty ugly person . . . but I get why she felt abandoned and betrayed by B.  B used her not only in real life, but in reality life to bolster her popularity which led to all her opportunities.  B left J in the dust and it's kinda horrifying.  It was lovely to see them reunite this year, but B might've done that for cameras and she still doesn't want to resume an actual relationship with her.  That was brutally painful to watch all those years ago.  That was the defining breakup of all these shows, not Vicky & Tamara, NeNe & Kim, or Teresa & Jacqueline (though this one might be a close second).

So sad to hear about LuAnn . . . hopefully she just relapsed after this lawsuit and she hasn't been lying about being sober.  Sad to think she might have an out of control substance problem.

  7. This LuAnn news is really disheartening . . . she's been enjoying an epic comeback/redemption tour and this is about as serious an accusation as it gets.  I know many hate on season 4 LuAnn, and without getting into the Alex stuff (which I thought was justified), I think the most significant wrong a NY housewife has dealt another was Ramona calling LuAnn out on her parenting and then going after a teenage Victoria at the reunion.  Just WOW.  In her blog a few weeks ago, Carole came after LuAnn similarly, saying Adam was an unpaid babysitter for Noel while his mother was gallivanting around with men . . . I get why Carole felt compelled to defend Adam when LuAnn was carrying on about how he took advantage of her/Nicole/the family . . . but I also felt she just didn't need to go there.  Would Adam want her to do that?  Would Noel?  But if LuAnn's own children are coming after her now, it looks like there was a fire behind all the smoke. :(

On a related note, I think Carole/LuAnn is one of the more interesting, under-featured relationships on this show . . . from a silly feud in season 5 to becoming actually really good friends in seasons 6 and 7 and for it to all fall apart . . . there's a lot to mine here.  And Carole is stupidly not learning from LuAnn's mistakes . . . Carole got off the hook for Adam/Nicole because LuAnn ridiculously started slandering Carole and Adam every way she could think of instead of concisely expressing her grievances (shades of NJ's Jacqueline) . . . now Carole is coming down so hard on B on social media that everyone might forget that B was actually the original culprit in this war.  Even though I never understood their friendship, it's always sad to see a real relationship destroyed on these shows.

  8. Ken is a real nasty pos.  You can take the whore out of the gutter . . . this creep never disappoints.  What a pig.

Everyone looked like fools, esp. Lisa Rinna and Eileen, which is a shame, because I at least feel like LR had a real point that she just didn't know how to make (kind of like Yolanda always, LOL).  Nice to have Kim, Faye, and Camille at what I assume was supposed to be the finale party.  I got the 'confrontation' between Kim and LR--Kim will never own her s (she's made that abundantly clear by forcing herself and everyone around her to only look forward, not backwards . . . which is fine in some cases, but not one as serious and chronic as hers . . . she'll never learn anything from her mistakes because she's admitting she's unwilling to acknowledge them and won't let anyone else, either) and LR was not there for that dogshit but wasn't going to start hooting and hollering.  So she tried to condescendingly and passive aggressively shut her down with a smug last word . . . not cool but Kim Richards doesn't deserve better.  However, while she keeps on going on and on and on about how she owns everything she says and does, LR really should own that she knew exactly what she was doing last year by making a freakin' storyline out of Kim's addiction just like she did with Munchausen (not a "comment," a storyline . . . which is what LVP wanted I'm sure) this year.  Come on.

Very interesting that this season was framed really as Yolanda's journey . . . which I guess turned out a tragedy?

All in all a very a disappointing season, for so many reasons.  Despite last year's ramifications, the dramatic potential was fully realized . . . this year was just hurtful but lame.

  9. I think it's unfortunate that it sounds like Lisa Vanderpump will be able to freeze out, not acknowledge, and talk over Lisa Rinna at the reunion.  Lisa R. is stupid for putting anything in writing, though.  And while it seems obvious to me that Lisa V. wanted a "Yolanda's full of bs" convo. to be on-camera and was happy to let Lisa R. (and Kyle) take the blame, Lisa R. should've let it go like Kyle since Lisa V. seems pathologically incapable of taking real responsibility for anything she does.  It's pretty ironic since she seems very sensitive and unforgiving.  I get why Lisa R. was pissed that she was taking the fall for the group, but it was done . . . and she shouldn't have just directed her frustration at Lisa V., but at Kyle, too.  Meanwhile, who thinks Kyle wouldn't be so quick to sweep this under the rug if she caught the heat like Rinna??  Kyle, in so many words, confirmed that they were talking s about Yolanda and that if Lisa V. tries to take her down, she's going down with her . . . something tells me Kyle will worm her way out of all this, lolol.

  10. Wow, Lisa V. slaughtered them in that blog!  LOL.  I think, though fabulous, Lisa V. is a cold bitch only out for #1 and it's pretty amazing how bulletproof she is--no one can chink this lady's armor, and that can't be said for the other hw head bitches (Vicki, Ramona, Nene, Teresa, etc.).  However, I don't necessarily think Lisa R. is trying to "take her down" . . . clearly, all these hens, among millions of others, were talking about Yolanda.  And in private, I'm sure all these women speak about each other SO disparagingly and cruelly, esp. Lisa V. and that husband of hers.  Lisa R. was probably fed up TO HERE that she was catching all the flack for something that she was hardly the only one guilty of--I absolutely believe she, Lisa V., and Kyle (and EVERYone else) talked about "Munchausen" or something similar.  And Yolanda is the biggest liar of them all claiming she's never heard of it before Lisa R./this season.  Yolanda and Kyle play victim better than all of them combined (Eileen is inching up there, too).  But, ya, I do agree that Lisa R. is TRYING HARD and giving these producers their money's worth . . . the fact that she's doing it to expose Lisa V. and Kyle is stupid af, but I don't think she's lying.  It'll be interesting to see how likely successful Kyle will be at crying/outraging her way out of it and how Lisa V. will just not acknowledge anything and then deflect.  Lisa R. better be ready.

Eileen, on the other hand, is hard to watch.  I think she's coming off thirsty with forcing everyone to "confront their feelings" . . . it's a bad look, clearly producer-fueled.  And this thing with Lisa V. is sad.  I think Eileen has actual knowledge of Lisa V.'s transgressions (that she won't tolerate ever being brought up) and that soured her this year, AND Eileen couldn't handle Lisa V. callously and crassly hitting her Achilles' heel (the "unsavory" origins of her current marriage).  Lisa V. knows how much this affects Eileen and, when it suited her last year, chastised Brandi for going after her.  If Lisa V., in a moment of ignorance, misspoke, then she should have just apologized sincerely because she clearly knew what she did.  But this lady can't ever be wrong.  I get how this would dumbfound and upset Eileen.  However, if Eileen can't handle this very public part of her life being brought up, she has NO BUSINESS being on this show!  Lol.

And I thought the scenes with Yolanda at the gala were nice.  I completely believe she has it . . . it's just that she obviously uses it as a shield (like Lisa R. said) AND this woman is not only insanely stupid, but her language barrier (she obviously has difficulty picking the right words to articulate herself) makes her come off horrible re. Lyme.  That and she's as sensitive as Eileen and an incredibly paranoid person.  She's been acting like an attacked animal all season and she's been unfairly attacking back haphazardly and it's understandable how she's made real enemies, Lisa R. is just the only one with the balls to come forward.  And her scene with Brandi was so contrived--I get the show needs to thread a narrative, but for a woman who tirelessly goes on and on about "real vs. fake friends," she could've tried harder to not have come off so FAKE!  lol.  And however arrogant she was in the past, I feel humiliated for her watching her scenes with David (like I did with Ramona/Mario on NY).  It's too bad because I think in better circumstances, she seems like a very lovely woman.

  11. I think EVERYone has stepped in so much sh** on BH.  Not a single one of them is coming off unscathed, but it looks like Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle are avoiding the fray more than anyone else . . . but, IMO, they're as transparent as Yolanda Foster Hadid.  I'm not on a crusade to "get" her, but it is puzzling to me that Lisa Vanderpump gets away with everything, esp. since she owns nothing.  Maybe that's it--she doesn't give a f about anyone but herself and hers and has never pretended otherwise . . . but she still wouldn't ever come out directly and say it that way.  Anyway, even if Lisa Rinna tries to bulldoze through everyone at the reunion, she should get destroyed by everyone but Eileen . . . even though they're all on a tv show and this is work, Lisa Rinna (who I do love) has taken it to the point of no return.

  12. I think the Teresa situation is really complicated but, most of all, sad. Honestly, ever since the table flipping, she's had a handful of episodes that only someone truly insane would have. And I think it's evident that Caroline was biting her tongue through all of it. Jacqueline has totally participated in some nuts stuff, too--she was as bad as Teresa at the Posh fashion show in season 2 and she was craze as well at the season 2 reunion. But nevertheless, Teresa's antics would have to wear thin on them. IMO, Caroline's real problem with Teresa was the lawsuit that resulted in that gnarly fight in Punta Cana (where she, her three children, that Greg idiot, Joe & Teresa, and Bravo/Sirens got sued). And I can't blame her for not wanting to associate with Teresa after that and legally, I don't think she can talk about it, esp. not on "Housewives." BUT my issue is that Caroline really is a disgusting bully. Her whole mo is to intimidate everyone into submission, so much more than Teresa or Danielle (who seem to be more illogical, completely self-unaware, and out of control of their words and actions). Caroline is mean, unwavering, and a bully of the highest order. She doesn't care if her reasoning makes no sense and she doesn't care if she's a hypocrite--she's just right regardless, and her husband and children seem to be the same way.

My issue with Melissa and Kathy is that neither are willing to cop that signing a contract with Bravo without letting Teresa know was, at best, WEIRD. Teresa shouldn't respond negatively to it, but Bravo knew exactly what they were setting up and Melissa and Kathy knew everything wasn't just going to be "fine." I actually love Kath, but she's a [!@#$%^&*] disturber, no two ways about it. And I can't believe that she and Joe & Melissa have the audacity to pick ALL of Teresa's words apart when Rich says the most horrific things--it's not funny and NO one would just "understand that Tre's a jokster" (they don't! LOL) if she said a tenth of the things he has. And I don't understand why it's OK that the Manzos, Gorgas, and Wakiles (sp.?) can hurl insults at Teresa and her whole immediate family and it's literally unacknowledged. Unbelievable. I also totally agree with whoever said that Melissa, Joey, Kathy, and Rich all TRY SO HARD to engage her. It doesn't excuse Teresa's INSANE idiocy, but they definitely poke her.

This show has become such a sad mess, lol.

  13. I know there were rumors about him being fired abruptly.

Thanks for the answers about AS. I always forget Anne Howard Bailey was at DAYS - I guess it must not have been too long, as she was at Santa Barbara up to mid-1988. I know the Marina story is hated.

I was reading a comment a few days ago about how Carly showed up and immediately had 3 days a week airtime. In some ways I'm surprised at how she became popular, as she was sort of glommed on to Jennifer and then inadvertently caused Jennifer to be raped. I guess CC just had the charisma to make it work.

My only experience with AHB and RA & AS is from J&J edits, but they included a lot of extra stuff. The dialogue under AHB's leadership was really quick and smart, that's one thing I can really say. She created Isabella, a character I never connected with, but who has always had such an impact on the show.

I loved RA & AS and I don't know if I agree that they returned to the super couple format following a more edgy tenure from AHB. They had Jack & Jennifer and did two really big adventure stories (the train wreck really doesn't compare to The Cruise of Deception or Alamania), but they didn't do much with Steve & Kayla and then they were the fools to do Shane/Kayla (every writer always has one really big disaster, lol). Their stories were really introspective and dark and the family aspects of the program seemed to focus on defeat, not triumph. I really, really loved them. But IA (with ghfan89) that, tragically, Jennifer's rape focused more on Jack's reaction. But I'm one of the few old school J&J fans who feel Jennifer's characterization was often at the expense of overexposure of the Jack Deveraux character, who was the character of 1990 much like focus EJ received from Sheffer or Nicole from Higley. Carly Manning sucked, another low point of RA & AS, and yes, she did take over the show, complete with rewriting the ENTIRE Frankie & Jenn story to give her a back-story.

Anne Schoettle was actually invited back to "Days" to write J&J's farewell episode, which was a love letter to the super couple era, and it was sappily amazing but ignored J&J's later relationships/ties with/to characters like Billie and Lucas. Fascinatingly, the only other story featured that day was the BIG climax of the Phil/Belle/Shawn/Mimi rectangle where everyone found out that Shawn, not Philip was the father of Claire's baby. I've always been curious whether or not AS wrote the whole episode, or just the J&J stuff, because talk about two totally contrasting things--80's nostalgia and a contemporary climax.

  14. I can't stand Jersey Wives this year. I was never invested in this show like NY, but I have no interest in seeing the deconstruction of Teresa's relationships with Jacqueline and Caroline. I've never been huge on Tre--since season 2, I've thought she was batshit and shady and was amazed that the other ladies stood behind her. But seasons 1 and, especially, 2 showcased a real family element with her and Dina/Jacqueline/Caroline and their families. Season 3 reunion was just tragic.

I could give a f about Joey & Melissa Gorga and something still feels so suspect about them. I actually LOVED Kath last season, but I think Rich is scum and Kath isn't able to hide how much of freakin' [!@#$%^&*] disturber she is this season. Really off putting.

I used to love Jacqueline in seasons 1 and 2, but I think it's clear how warped she is (and always has been, in retrospect). I thought Dena was a total BITCH, but I got a kick out of her and we really lost a lot after her exit. Danielle was a liability--a truly deranged psychopath, but she made that show most of what it was in its first two seasons.

But it's Caroline Manzo who I truly find so vile. She's incredibly destructive, self-righteous and will never cop to anything. She's one the biggest bullies I have literally ever seen in my life. It's absolutely disgusting how she conducts herself and her children are coming off horrible this season, too.

I am so disappointed in how destructive this show has become, lol. Not that it wasn't destructive when Danielle was being terrorized and she, in turn, was most likely plotting very insane and dangerous things against them, but there was something hilarious about it all and I was able to distance the fact that these were real people's lives. Now, it's too evident for me that real, valuable relationships are being destroyed because of reality television and someone like Teresa's personal life truly is decimated.
