I guess maybe they thought they'd bring her back down the line but in hindsight, I would have rather he returned a widower. Although an Andy return/'recast would have been better than a lot of what they did with Antonio. I went back and rewatched some of them on YT and unlike Luna & Max, my good childhood memories held the test of time. I remember my grandmother had quite the crush on him. In my early years of watching, OLTL was totally the soap of men with long locks- Todd, Dylan, Patrick, Jason Webb, I might be forgetting another one.

Weren't there pro athletes in those promos? Waynze Gretzky? Maybe a football player?

I did like Kevin/Cassie- I think that would be when she cheated on Andrew. That was good stuff because at least to me at the time, it seemed SO shocking. I feel like I knew at 9 years old that they were trying to push TK on me as some sort of not Todd replacement but long haired male lead who could sort of fill the Todd void with Marty and Blair. And I hated it, hated Brown Penny, hated the Men of 21 which I suppose all could have been very good. I faked some sort of illness to get out of school to watch the gold balloon wedding and I remember being mad as hell that Patrick/Marty took up precious moments of the ep with Brown Penny. I did find Dylan Moody annoying so I was glad their paring knocked him down some pegs though. Loved Antonio/Andy too Vee. When he returned, didn't they say she cheated on him? I was too mad about that. Over the years, I would start hating Antonio and then I would remember when he first came on and I loved him and that pairing tremendously.

Oh how I loved AMC that summer. I remember kicking neighborhood kids out of my house so I could watch Edmund take Sam from Maria when she was trying to run off with him.

Which supercouples were at that time? Patrick/Marty? the end of Antonio/Andy? Todd/Tea or were they later? I loved mid/late 90s OLTL more than any soap but for the most part when I think of couples I loved (with the exception of TnB and TnT), I think more of AMC & GH pairings so the idea of OLTL as all grand romance is not ringing a bell with me even though i taped daily at that time. But maybe its just because I loathed Patrick & Marty.

I remember Oprah! It was a good anniversary week and a good time for the show if I'm remembering right. My mother made me go to bed during the Carol Burnett primetime special and then watched it herself. I was TOO angry and laid next to the door hoping I would hear the TV. Years later when I saw it on Youtube, I was sure to let her know I finally got to enjoy it and that I would never do that to any soap fan child I may have.

I remember loving the show in 1995 (25th) but I was really young so my perception could be skewed. All the subsequent anniversaries not so much.

Labine was fired? I was always under the impression that she left of her own accord to work on the Ned/Lois spinoff. What a mistake ABC made there. And then she did not work out nearly as well at One Life.

Maybe because of how bad GH has been in recent (JFP) years, I tend to remember the Richie years as entirely magical and wonderful now. What were some of the bad parts of her mixed bag?

Amazed and excited how quickly these are coming out! 2 ATWT sets and the Phillip Spaulding all in one March- makes me excited for April!! Also I loved Tom Eplin on ATWT- never saw AW but I really enjoyed Jake/Molly and his friendships with Lucinda and Isaac so I'm very excited to see this one.

I'm actually thrilled to see 2005 again. I loved the arrival of Gwen that spring (summer?) and the baby switch. I know its probably not everyone's cup of tea but I'm excited! Thanks Soapclassics!
