Emmerdale is nominated in the category "Soap and continuing drama" at the BAFTA TV Awards 2022.
The other nominees are "Holby City", "Casualty" and "Coronation Street". In a slightly sad twist, "Holby City" aired its last episode last night, the day before the nominations were announced.

He should be in jail if we're keeping things in perspective.
He slapped someone. That hardly makes him Public Enemy nr 1!
I'm not condoning what he did. It was completely out of line and he should face some consequences, but it was hardly the crime of the century.

Remove him from the building? Yes.
Rescind his Academy Award? Don't be ridiculous!
His behaviour was bad, but let's keep things in perspective.....

Victoria Azarenka would probably benefit from some time away from tennis....

Well, that was....unexpected.
I don't see how you can make any excuses for Will Smith's behaviour though. It was shocking, and totally out of line. He should have been removed from the theater immediately.

On this day 50 years ago, March 25th 1972, the 17th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Edinburgh. It produced what is still, in my opinion, the best winner of all time (yes, much better than "Waterloo"): "Après Toi" sung by Vicky Leandros representing Luxembourg. It became a big success and remains one of the biggest commercial hits in Eurovision history.
