  1. ILTQ, you BEYOND crack me up! I can't believe you chose that UserName. LOL. Tracyluver, thank you so much for comments. It really makes me feel wonderful that you guys enjoyed the story. Sorry there's no sequel, but I'll try to keep them coming as much I can. You guys are awesome. Group Hug!
  2. hey--watched yesterday's ep on my lunch break today. TQ/JE looked bored out of her mind, but I did notice her staring at Dillon & Lulu when they were talking. Keeping an eye on the randy yunguns, our gal is. *rollseyes* Also, Maxie is uber-stoopid, isn't she, talking so loosely about her and Lucky two inches away from his stepmonster! Not too ight-bray, Jonesie. So, aside from TQ looking bored and grabbing for her phone, you didn't miss much ILTQ. I hope JE got payed something fierce for her time, because it was totally wasted on that day of filming--even Jackie Z. got more lines than she did, and Jackie Z never gets more lines than ANYBODY! So, we've had our token TQ appearance for this two week period, what should we do now? Placy jacks? Tic-Tac-Toe? Maybe a drinking game--every time somebody says a line that TQ could deliver better, take a drink? Naaah, we'd be drunk before the end of the teaser. MsQ, watched your mini-promo this morning before work--liked it muchly. Especially the slo-mo on the Take a Bus kiss. I noticed you do that a lot--slo-mo the kisses. Not that I'm complaining....just wish the director would do the same thing, next time TQ/LS kiss on screen...... So. How long till whasisname gets back from Amsterdam? It's a long, depressing summer, isn't it? *Kicks stupid Sam fans, and Maxie fans, and Sonny fans, and all those other fans who are getting fat and lazy with their character's overexposure. They need to be like us, with that lean and hungry look going on.....*
  3. Hey, gang. I didn't even watch yesterday's show. It's still in the player, waiting to be rewound, but I don't know what the point is. I'm still firmly in the "some TQ is better than no TQ" camp, but watching Trace as set-dressing would have been too much for my clinically-depressed nerves lately. On the fanfic front: MsQ--liked the two new chapters. The first was okay--sorry, too much Q-snark and not enough Tracy for my taste. The second was much more fun--I loved the scene with Tracy and Luke at the window. Her comments about Switzerland. The "discussion" about the party. You have their chemistry so perfect; it's just so much fun to read. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the anniversary story. It might not be as bad as you think. Always open for beta-reading services, if you need help. My stories are coming along at the paragraph-per-day speed. Ned & Tracy's Excellent Adventure got about six paragraphs last night--and that's with special effort made to write. I've been obsessing for some reason on Barbara Bennett (from Change of Habit) for the last few days, so I took out my Barbara/John story and wrote a page or two on that. Nothing much in the way of accomplishment, but at least I'm getting words on the page. SPOILER talk..... Anybody know the exact date of TG's return? Because I remember a spoiler about him coming back to find how tight Tracy and Robert have become and getting jealous. I know I'm tripping on my fantasy world here, but wouldn't that indicate that they'd have to let Tracy and Robert become "tight" first? I know they worked together on the whole Lulu and Dillon having sex thing, but that's not the kind of tight I was expecting. Oh, and while I'm at it, I read an article with Tristan Rogers somewhere that he listed all the women Robert Scorpio had had a fling with in the past...this article came out during the Monkey Fever sl...and he listed Tracy Quartermaine amongst Robert's former conquests. Does anybody know about this? Is he just remembering wrong, because I haven't seen anything like this anywhere but that one interview. /end spoiler talk and curiosity
  4. Oooh, new vid from MsQ! I just finished listening to our new 5-CD Disney collection, and there's so many songs that fit Luke/Tracy-- "He's a Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp: totally Tracy about Luke. "Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book: Luke to Tracy, about dealing with the Qmaines "God Help the Outcast" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame: Kind of sappy, but reminds me of Tracy a little bit. "The Monkey's Uncle" from The Monkey's Uncle: Tracy about Luke. I'm picturing him at the beginning of the Monkey Fever episodes.... "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid: Luke to Tracy Yeah, I need more time away from life, don't I? Still nothing on N&TEA. We always have a house full of rednecks when I come home-not condusive to eating, sleeping, breathing, thinking, or living--much less creating. OTOH, I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off next week for Fey's first days of school--I'll be spending all day Monday at the college library, so I'll try to get boatloads of writing done then. Promise.
  5. No time for long posts these days, but I can say things like this--- olivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesol ivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesoliv e solivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolivesolives! That makes me happy. Tracy and olives. Now, if we can get Tracy, olives, and more screen time...
  6. Happy birthday, Nex4eva! Glad you got to actually see TQ on your day (such as her part was....) I loathe that green jacket with every fiber of my body. I mean, seriously. Hitler loathing. Lima bean loathing. Serious MF-ing loathing. (Yeah, MF stands for MinervaFan.) Anyhoo, sorry I've been so quiet lately. Our work has a new policy--you can surf on breaks and lunches, but only at special terminals in the middle of the room (there are four). So I just go home for lunch now, which means I don't have lots of time to be online anymore. (Not that I had so much before.) SPOILERS FOR TODAY'S SHOW. I'm glad TQ was on at least a little bit today--she was nice and nasty to Lulu, which made me think fondly of the November episodes. But then the universe turned inside out, and well...the second scene happened. Folks, is it me, or has the basic fabric of the time-space continuum realigned, because...was TQ actually included in the planning of that little soiree? Dudes, do you think she might have even--I hesitate to suggest it--set it up???? No, up is still up, down is still down, the world still spins on its axis. TQ is not...planning surprise parties for teenage girls, is she? No. It's a fluke. She's not turning into Bobbie (who was also there, trotted out for her bi-monthly 3-seconds of air time). She's not turning into Leslie (who got her six-month mention). She's Tracy Freaking Quartermaine, damnit. Lives must be destroyed, marriages must be crushed. Tracy, come back. Stay away from the light......it's dangerous in there. Therein lies doom, I say, DOOOOMMMMMM!!!!! You'll be like DOOL's elder Hortons, trotted out for holidays then left to rot in the studio cellar for rest of the year. Stay away from The Nice, Tracy. It don't fit you well, sister friend. /end lunatic spoiler speak. No news on the fanfic, boys and girls. I'm dead in the water right now--depression, summer, jerk rednecks have just dried me up. Maybe a little inspiration from Jane on my small screen will help--cross your fingers.
  7. Keith posted fanfic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really liked it. (And was able to keep up even though I haven't even watched the tape on fastforward in like a week and a half.) More, please. ETA: MinervaFan was a bad, bad girl. I made that video. LuNacy Meets The Parent Trap.
  8. LOL! I noticed that when I went home for lunch. Fortunately, that clip was on my list of clips I really wanted to have, so it was a win-win situation for me. Thanks again.
  9. MsQ, FF.net is being a big patootie pain in the buttbutt, and making it impossible for me to send feedback on "The Right Thing." (Great title, btw.) Totally dug the two recent chapters--like the way you're going with it. For the record, you've got Dillon's dialogue spot on. I'm not sure how big a Dillon fan you are, but you have his speach patterns perfect. LOL. So....is Luke gonna help Tracy with her bath, like he helped Holly? Oh, and thanks to you and knh for the offers of help with my Ned and Tracy's Big Adventure story. I don't do well in the summer with my depression--heat and humidity are murder on my emotions. So thanks for being there to help with my needy, neurotic writer fits. nex4eva, you are the bestest in the world! Thanks for the clips. I'm downloading them now. smirks, no, the smut is not the Ned and Tracy story, although she did send an entire classroom full of 13-year-old boys into a hormonal fit when she sashayed to the front of the room in her high heels and miniskirt. (Hey, it's the 70s. It could happen.) I tried to write some femmeslash, but it turned out like everything I've written this week--not to my liking. Hopefully I'll be more productive this weekend.
  10. Word. To everything you said, but especially--word. I think I'll go write some smut, since "Ned and Tracy's Excellent Adventure" is going nowhere fast.
  11. Still trudging around the Maarkham Islands, looking for Luke, Holly and Robert???? *kicks stupid GH* ETA: Read the latest spoilers on GHSPOILZONE (LiveJournal). Pages of s**t with Maurice Bernard, a looooong interview with Scott Clifton and Julie Berman (no mention of Tracy, although they apparently mention everybody else! ), but noooooo Tracy. Hate them, and their a$$ faces. (Such a Guffman moment I'm having....)
  12. I'm telling you--all those stupid pseudo-sex scenes in Boys' Night Out/Girls' Night Out did nothing at all. Tracy flicking those olives, one by one, had me stammering like a 13-year-old boy meeting a supermodel. She is the hawtness. Dying from the lack of inspiration, boys and girls. Trying to write Hawt!Young!Bitter!Tracy and it feels forced. I'm having FicDrop--that letdown you get after you finish a particularly long and difficult story. Everything I write seems trite and artificial. Anyone willing to give me some beta work here? I could email you what I've got, because I have no perspective at all anymore. PM me if you're interested in helping. I'm so depressed--I hate writers block.
  13. Since we're asking for clips--could someone please post the recent scenes with Lulu and Tracy, where Tracy figures out what Lulu's done? Somehow, I rewound my tape incorrectly and taped over most of that last scene with Lulu. (Gawd, that's the last we've seen of Tracy. I'm so depressed.) My boo-boo baby did the dishes for me tonight! (Yay!) So I have a little time to write. Let's see if I can get Young!Hawt!Tracy to cause some trouble at poor Ned's boarding school before I go to bed....
  14. LOL. GH made feel the same way about olives--until July 4, they were just nasty tasting little green things people put in martinis. After July 4...well....let's just say that eroticism has many strange and unexpected outlets, especially when a certain character is involved..... ETA: *waves to KNH*
  15. Welcome, ChanelTalbot! *hands you some lovely ciabatta from the break room.* We're a nice group here--perhaps a little Hair and Wardrobe obsessed (Ms. Q.... ), but basically welcoming. Hope you stick around. As for Tracy/Noah--it could happen. I don't know how good they'd be for each other, considering they are both a little too dependent on the bottle..... ILoveTracyQ, shout out to you, babygirl, for the reoccurring optimism! Jane makes so much of every scene she's in that it's not hard to appreciate her when we have her. MsQ, I've been writing fanfic since 1987. I've spent so much of my time obsessing on fictional characters that I've stopped worrying about it. Given the amount of stress in my life, I welcome the opportunity to think about something besides money, bills, Fey's health, REDNECKS, dogs, cars, job--Tracy's problems are so much more interesting than mine, and she has a better wardrobe--even *with* the ten miles of floating jacket! Rgency, I have the olive!sex scenes in my grubby little paws. If nobody posts them here, I'll go ahead and upload them for you. (I'm on dial-up, so it takes forever.) But know that you will not go long without Tracy and her delightful little green friends..... (*dayum, that just sounded sick, didn't it?) knh, I have downloaded your movie script and will read/review when I have a chance. You've made me wonder--what characters would you guys like to see JE play, if she weren't playing Tracy? I'd love to see her as a lawyer or judge on Boston Legal. Could you imagine how much fun we could have with her playing opposite William Shatner or Candace Bergen? Of course, on Boston Legal, her judge would probably run a shady import operation on the side, or be a kleptomaniac, or a nymphomaniac (shades of Holland Taylor's brilliant turn on The Practice). I'd also love to see her on a sitcom--something smart, like Frasier. (Oooh, if Bebe had quit and JE had taken over as Frasier's new agent. Maybe a New Age charmer who tries to develop his "softer" side, while overcharging him and blaming his anger on "negative chi.") See, MsQ, you're not even close to being the most JE/TQ obsessed person in the world.....
  16. The August Challenge has been posted at the ficathon. As always, deadlines on the ficathons are just numbers--if you're working on an old challenge, feel free to post it when you're done. Any TQ today? :blinks:
  17. Piping in on the SoapTalk/JE dearth conversation--I think JE hasn't been seen a lot because TIIC think every person watching the show wants to see Sam in a bathing suit trying to seduce Ric...and that they still give a [!@#$%^&*] about "Baby John" and WhoMyDaddy and Sonny and the whole damned thing. They honestly think people are enjoying this crap, and there are just enough people who are to silence the growing screams of outrage from the masses who aren't. Tracy doesn't fit into this storyline, except peripherally. So Tracy's scenes are cut. Robert doesn't fit into this storyline, except peripherally. So Robert's scenes are cut. I don't think TIIC even register the actors who are no longer in the "core." I think TIIC are so hyperfocused on their little mini group of "stars" that they don't even notice the growing legion of underused and disgusted actors amonst their ranks--or the dissatisfied fans who will probably walk with them when they eventually leave the show. But hey--we can always depend on those WACKY Girl's Night Out episodes. How much FUN are they??????
  18. *high fives Ms.Q* Girlfriend, I'm loving the Anniversary To Remember story. The first chapter is especially excellent--your description and narrative is wonderful. I like the pacing, and the dialogue. Just really great. Can't wait for more. ETA: Just thought I'd pimp the Ficathon MasterList of Tracy Q stories. I just updated it tonight, and was sort of stunned at how many stories were on there. We are a productive little bunch. (Okay, I go for lots of short stories, while some of us go for the fifty chapter varieties--giggling over at MsQ and Hypemuzak, who hasn't updated "Homelands" in forever.) Oh, and to the little princess who hasn't updated "Beautiful Disaster" in ages - *pretty smile* - sugar, would you like to post a link to the ficathon so we can include it in the MasterList? ETA2: *waves at LaineyBev714* and toddles off to try to write Young!Ned getting mortified by his Hawt Young Mother with an Attitude.
  19. oh, you guys are just KIDDING me. No TQ again? Is Guza on crack? Oh, and whoever apologized to me for criticizing Jason-Sonny? Dude, I barely tolerate either character anymore. My gf used to be a real big fan of Sonny/Carly, but that's about it. Thanks for the much love/feedback on the AU story, especially Simon. I was afraid people would accuse me of Mary Sue-ing him (which I did, even though I'm not a man and not a college professor and only made a C in HS chemistry because it was at 8 in the morning!) I just always thought Tracy would do well with a person who was (a) not born to wealth, ( not overly impressed by wealth, © not intimidated by her wealth (or disgusted by her periodic lacks of wealth), and (d) not swayed by the negative publicity she gets either from her family or people who hate her family. He had to be smart enough to challenge her, decent enough to know the difference between her "true" self and the protective shell she wears, and tough enough to put up with the crap that seems to attack her at every turn. Thus? Simon. I also thought Annabeth was important--she needed a mother figure who wasn't under the thumb of someone like Edward, someone who called her on her s**t, and still loved her unconditionally. I didn't develop Annabeth as much as I would have liked to, but that's okay. And, no, there's no plans for a sequel. I will, however, share with you a voice mail message Annabeth left on Tracy's answering machine the night of her first date with Simon (since I'm never going to write the story): Tracy, darling, it's me. I know you're out with Simon, so just give me a call when you get back. Any time is fine; I'll be up late. Of course, if you two decide to have sex, don't bother calling me tonight--just ring me in the morning and give me all the gory details. Oh, not about the sex. I really don't want to know about that, pet. Talk to you later. ... I love Annabeth.
  20. The AU story is done. At last. Category: General Hospital Title: Mother Freedom, Carry Me Home Genre: Drama/Romance Rating: Fiction Rated: T Summary: AU. 1980, A banished Tracy Quartermaine disappears, determined to leave the past behind. 2004, a fire at the PC Hotel drags Tracy Walker away from her new life, back to the world she tried to forget and the people she left behind. URL: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3076027/1/
  21. Oh, sure. Ruin my weekend. Working feverishly on the AU story. Still no title. Starting on chapter 17--I think this and maybe three more (two if I leave off the post-script) will do it. Feeling the love, ignoring the rumors.
  22. Chapter 13 of the as-yet-unnamed AU story (I really ought to pick a name for it soon) has been completed. Starting on Chapter 14 asap. I'm thinking, when all is said and done, it should be about 18-19 chapters. Longest multi-part story I've ever written. At least now I'm writing resolution stuff, and not fights or secrets. MsQ, R&R the new chapters on Oh, Baby. I especially liked the first new chapter with Ned and Tracy's Big Adventure. Cook needs Prozac.
  23. Hey, I second that emotion on the Tracy/Scotty scenes. I would love to see those. knh, I have the Tracy tries to trick Luke into sleeping with her scenes, if nobody else does. I can upload them, but it will take some time.
  24. DingDingDING! MsQ wins the virtual ice cream maker!!!!!!!! On the thread that's being discussed--I didn't grow up watching GH, although I did sporadically watch Days, Another World, and Santa Barbara when I was in school. I came from a large family, so somebody out there was usually watching GH, AMC, Y&R, and GL--so I'm familiar with some of the older characters. Fey's mom watches GH and Days regularly. Her reaction to Tracy is practically Quartermainian--nothing she does is right, ever. She loathes TQ, and really doesn't get why Fey and I like her so much. (I'm sure if she knew my level of obsession with TQ, she'd probably forbid me to see her daughter--but well, we've got a six year head start on her.) She likes Sam and Jason and Sonny (although not too much Sonny and Emily, but they're breaking up anyway....) And even she thinks the show sucks right now.
  25. I'm bored. Let's play a game. First person to post all the correct answers wins a virtual ice cream machine--the electric ones, not the crank kind. The JE Trivia Contest 1. In what state was JE born? 2. On what show did JE make her soap debut? 3. What does JE choose as the favorite character she's ever played? 4. After her daughter is out of the house, what career would JE like to pursue? 5. To what famous singer has JE been romantically linked (although she denies the rumors emphatically)? 6. How many Daytime Emmy Awards has JE won? 7. At one point, when she wasn't acting, JE took a job in the educational field. What was it, and how did she like it? 8. If JE had to choose something to wear, which would it be--fashionable, but uncomfortable clothes, or sweats? 9. Who does JE credit with teaching her how to take direction as an actress? 10. What soap diva is JE's best friend in real life? I know--I've read too many interviews.
