Oh, Nex, that exerp was FANTASTIC! It's as if SID was reading the LoveFest! I'm soooo glad our girl is staying. My lack of regular internet connectivity has created some positive side effects. I made two vids last night--a very short LuNacy (which is, imho, my best video ever) and a longer David and Dorian (OLTL) video. Both are from songs on the "One Life, Many Voices" CD. I gave "Provincetown" to DnD, mainly because it suited their relationship more at this point. But the song I gave LuNacy is just so poignant, and for ONCE, I had the PERFECT clips. I've asked Fey to upload the vids to YouTube at school today. I know YT is a hassle, but it's the easiest way of getting them up at the moment. I won't have time to post the links today, but you might want to keep an eye on my account (MinervaFan) during the day. ETA: Today's weather: 44 degrees (feels like 22 degrees); cloudy, stormy. Yay. MsQ, I just squeed my little heart out over the new chapters of Waiting Room. They really were fantastic! I love TQ's interactions with everybody, especially Dillon and Luke. You really need to finish this story, because it's awesome. I'm assuming now TQ on the show today? ETA: PAGE 199! Okay, since 100 was the breadmaker and 150 was the ice cream maker, I'm thinking we need something really neat for 200. I suggest one of those fancy espresso/cappucino makers? You know, the ones they build right into your house? It's too cold for ice cream right now, but boy--mmmm.....fancy schmancy coffee in the Break Room while we discuss TQ? I could go for that.

Hey, guys. Work is a nightmare right now, so I'm having to sneak off and MAKE myself take breaks. We still don't have our secondary line fixed at home, so I probably won't be online as much as usual. re: Tracy's "long hidden desire" (that is such a Harlequin title waiting to happen) for Luke. Dudes, you can be attracted to someone without wanting to act on it. You can be actively chasing another person (or persons) and still take a look at somebody and say, Wow, I bet he'd be good in bed. She actually says, and I quote, "I always figured Luke Spencer would be good in bed" during the Coleman morning-after scene. This is not a new thing, her attraction to him. Back during the Dead Man's Hand sl, they just oozed sexual chemistry as they were fighting over the right to own a casino in town. There is no reason at all that Tracy could not have been attracted to him in the past. So. There. SOD, I know you have made me a minor-league celebrity, but you need to take a time out now. Oh, our phone line to the computer is out, so I may not be online at home as much till we can get it fixed. (I'm hooked to the main line right now.) Regency, I'm going to try to get some of the edits on your stories done. Feel free to like, you know, um, write some more. These are awesome, especially The Die Falls.

Doesn't look like TQ is on today, but we got NEW Oh, Baby!!!!! MsQ, I was so amused by these last two scenes. Girl, I've been to that baby shower. Heck, I've thrown that baby shower. I felt for Monica so much--I just can't imagine any situation where Tracy would enjoy the torture inflicted on pregnant women in the name of free stuff. I'm looking forward...in fear and hesitation...to the, erm, party games.

Lainey, it is SO generous of you to travel frequently in order to provide excellent Tracy scenes for us. I didn't think the scenes yesterday were disappointing at all. In fact, I was thrilled with them, especially since MsQ said there were three scenes and I wound up counting six! Okay, they were tiny, but it was like dim sum--small portions, but so many of them. And oooh, so satisfying. It's too close to clock-in for me to go into detail about the scenes from yesterday, but I'm telling you, these were incredible. And "I'm done" didn't mean she was done with the relationship, imho. It meant she was done watching him wallow and trying to convince him to be a man. He knew what he had to do, and she wasn't going to waste anymore time listening to him whine. As for carrying the Lulu-Banner? Search "Lulu." Replace with: "Tracy." Replace Current? No. Replace All? YES. All that stuff? Tracy's Daddy Issues meets Tracy's Husband Issues, not-so-cleverly disguised as Looking Out for Little Lulu. Nuff said. ETA: Mystery solved. Lainey sent me a .pdf file of the letter that got printed with the Tracy pic. It's a COMPLETELY different letter than the one I have in my SOD magazine. Yup. They published BOTH of my letters, in different magazines? I'm not sure which is what, but I will have to compare covers so I can know which one has my other letter. The one I had has a blurb about Todd's baby (from OLTL) on the cover and a big article with GF about her store in Maine in it. There are also Thanksgiving recipes. If anyone has the other one, the one with the Tracy pic, can you describe the cover for me so I can find it? Thanks.

Because we live in Homophobic Hell, the wedding was obviously symbolic. Just Fey and me and the gods. But we did it, and we are married in the most important way possible--in our hearts. Remember guys, TQ is on today. As for the family jewels, I'm pretty sure it's a play on his "family jewels" (she has him over a barrel) and not the wedding ring. Hates those stupid spoilers.

MsQ, you know what I love about your banner? The big one, I mean--? If somebody didn't know the show at all, from the pictures, you couldn't really tell which woman he loved more. At least, if I didn't know, I wouldn't know who "the other woman" was. Hell, I still don't know who "the other woman" is. Really gorgeous banner.

Five new bunnies--free to loving homes--- 1. Ned is back for the Thanksgiving holidays. Where has he been? And what has he got to say to Tracy about the recent goings on in her marriage? Ms.Q has already done this! Yay! Missing Scenes! 2. Georgie was not at the wedding. She voices her opinions when she has a chance meeting with Tracy at the hospital. 3. Leslie confronts Tracy about her marriage to Luke, and about her behavior at the wedding. 4. Tracy meets up with newly-returned Scotty Baldwin, and they discuss Luke and Laura, their own affair (in the far-distant past), and their prospects for the future. 5. When Tracy develops a mysterious illness, many people think it's a scheme to win Luke through sympathy, now that Laura is out of the way. 6. (Started out as five--these bunnies have a life of their own.) Tracy deals with the town's reaction to Laura's relapse in a uniquely TQ fashion. Bonus points for including the following people: Anna Scorpio, Bobbie Spencer, and/or Reginald the Butler. Okay, folks. Live Long, Prosper, and FEED DA BUNNIES!

Well, Will Ferrell has done the impossible. I just got back from seeing "Stranger Than Fiction" and have been guilted into starting back on the AU fic. Hell, I can't leave poor Tracy/MaryLee/whoever she is the way I left her. Sooooo....hopefully I'll get some serious writing done tomorrow during my eight hours of extemely lucrative boredom.... ETA: Ya know, Regency, it's a traffic violation to keep driving that Bentley alongside the bus like that. Just pull that gas-guzzler to the curb, park it and get on, like you know you're dying to do..... EBIL GRIN.

Jumping on the HAPPY THANKSGIVING bandwagon. I've been a sourpuss today--mainly because I'm still feeling kind of bad from yesterday. But I'm very thankful to have found this online community, and I"m extremely thankful to have Fey in my life--even if I drive her crazy with my mood swings and negativity. You guys are great, and Fey is great, and well--I'll try to be more positive.

Oh.MY.GAWD! I get sick and miss one night of posting, and you guys post TWO PAGES on me! I haven't had a chance to read everything, but I'm telling you this--I'll still on the LuNacy bus. Tracy's a pragmatist. She's never had a love/marriage/affair last forever, and she's not about to start believing in forever now. Forever Love is something for fools and Hallmark cards. Tracy knows what she wants, and she's going to take it for as long as she can get it. She's seen the feast and the drought, and if there is love to be had, she's going to devour it. That's our girl. She's not a fool and she's not an idealist. Sure, you may want turkey on Thanksgiving, but a starving woman isn't going to turn her nose up at roast beef if it's there on her plate. Which leads me to... Oh, you are KILLING me! I've spent the last three years with Fey's family being the butt of the joke for my vegetarianism! Her grandmother worries because, like, ten THOUSAND side dishes are obviously not enough for the poor, psycho non-carnivore, and THE REDNECK and his spawn just mock me. I laugh at them (well, not Fey's grandmothers, who are sweet) and plan for their eventual coronaries. Jack-a$$es.)

TQ, you so need to cut down on the booze, BabyGirl. This is the voice of the impending intervention speaking. Slow down on the sauce, for your own sake.

Tracy's decision to stay outdoors did seem somewhat metaphoric to me. When she was sitting on the steps (beginning of the Dillon scene)--it just seemed so...well, we have all been there, haven't we? Depressed, angry, confused, uncertain just exactly how we arrived at this particular juncture. I know if I had been Tracy, I wouldn't have gone back into the house, either. The cold would have been a distraction, a pain to pull away from a bigger pain. To go inside, to thaw out, to get comfortable, would have only drawn attention to the fact that there is no comfort for her in that house except physical. She has no allies there. She has no respect there. She's alone, physically, emotionally, metaphorically. She's out in the cold, and that's where it's most honest for her to be. I can't imagine Tracy making this connection, but I can imagine her instinctively needing the cold, the discomfort, the pain. I can imagine her needing something tangible to focus on, the cold, the shivering, the discomfort, to pull her mind away from what she cannot bear to think about. Gawd, I love that character. I want to write for her. I want to send her through the world, and give her the freedom to explore what TIIC will *never* understand.

I still think Luke and Tracy have a chance. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I think they are perfect for each other. I agree with MsQ (?) when she says Tracy knows Luke is not in his right mind, and that he probably never will be when Laura's concerned. And yeah, I'm sure this has been a serious revelation to her. It's what Luke does when the smoke clears that's going to determine the outcome. Will his so-called love for her stand up to apathy and distraction and other shiny things to pursue? Will he try to go back to the pre-Laura status quo, and expect Tracy to just accept it? (God forbid.) Or will he realize he cannot have Spanky on his terms any more. They've admitted they have feelings for each others, strange and flawed though their relationship may be, and now they can't just go back. What will he do? Will he pursue? Will he wallow? We know what Tracy is going to do. She's going to wait and watch and let him make the first move. I doubt there will be a quickie DR divorce while Luke's away. I think she wants to be married to him, I think she wants to be in love with him. But I think she is going to need more than he's given her and he has only one more strike.
