Dawn's reaction to shooting Beth threw me off too. She seemed shocked, like she didn't mean to. I was looking around to see if their was another shooter. Looking at this gif of the scene, I feel like she accidentally pulled the trigger upon being stabbed.

I had to watch this scene back a few times, even in slomo just to figure out what exactly happened! To me it seemed like someone shot Beth from the back and I was like WHAT?! Then I later realized Dawn shot her by accident. Even still watching now in regular motion it doesn't really seem like Dawn shot her. If it weren't for Dawn's "I didn't mean to" motion I'd be even more confused. That moment could've been choreographed much better. It at least needed an insert of Dawn's gun firing

All that aside, I was completely shocked & devastated by Beth's death. I really liked her throughout. I was so excited when they opened up her story again. Damn..

I can't imagine who's next. I'm happily unspoiled

As soon as Maggie learned about Beth I knew Beth was dead. It's TV cliche #43, probably. I thought Lauren Cohan did a great job with the reactions. Now if only they'd had her mention Beth before instead of trashing the character by omission. This is another case where the show assumed viewers knew something they did not (that Maggie wasn't going to mention Beth because she assumed Beth had to be dead), and it took a big toll. I feel sorry for Daryl, but if we see more of his manpain (yet again) than Maggie's reaction, I'm going to be ticked.

I'm sure it makes me a bad person, but Rick was hot as hell in this episode. Crazy eyes and all. So-bad-it's-good hot. Pure skeevy sex godliness. And he was truly unhinged for most of this, all while doing his best to be under control. He's never been more dangerous than he was here. He was right all along - the plan ended terribly. Yet I can't help wondering if he hadn't killed Bad Bob, would they have accepted him as a trade for Noah? Or would it never have worked out?

I can't get a good read on Nancy's particular influence as she's worked her way up the ranks as a producer & writer since season 1. I can't say I disagree with her that much regarding Ian/Mickey -- that's essentially what they've turned them into (Frank/Monica) and their fans have to face it. They're NEVER going to have a happy ending.

I read that they have a new showrunner this season - maybe that's why some fans see a difference.

Yeah, Chris Chulack. Just did some research. I think this definitely may explain the bulk of it; I'm not surprised he also directed the worst ep from a few weeks ago, "Carl's First Sentencing" which I found to be nearly a complete jump the shark hour.

John Wells is still on board, so that's why the show still has its bouts of goodness/spark, but this new guy has come through and began to rip it all into shreds!

I was shocked to see Monica. I thought it was actually a really natural, compelling touch. That first scene was great. Her taking him out of the military prison seems a bit much though; The fact he's been keeping in touch with her all this time was enough.

I'm glad Kev & V reunited, as ridiculous as it was.

Fiona and the miserable diner guy? ZZZZ. So sick of Fiona bouncing from guy to guy. Slept through their scenes. I didn't get why he went in the back & did drugs again.

Frank and the doctor girl...just WTF?? I didn't really want to see any of that. I get the basis of what the story is trying to tell but still just not into it. Frank is a lost cause and so played out, as is Lip.

WTF??? I guess I forgot Ian was being hunted down by the army? Still where did that come from? I mean really, they couldn't find him all this time at the Gallagher house? When he went crazy & was arrested? Unbelievable. I hate Sammi. All this energy being put into this girl is not compelling or interesting in the slightest. This is the worst.

Debbie....DISGUSTING! None of that was good. This THIRSTY ass little girl wants to be pregnant on purpose now. Where is the sense in this?

Kev was living at the dorms? Again WTF? I agree with Cheap, I don't understand how their living arrangement got all out of whack like that. I guess he maybe made a hut out of it when he started the business with Lip again but still doesn't make sense how he was there all that time and never went back home. Was V even aware?

Not interested in Fiona & the depressed diner guy BORING. Not a fan of the actor. I prefer Fi & Gus. It's too bad they had Gus bail on the sexy Skype session. Sigh.

This is really the worst season. I'm going to go back and watch seasons 1/2/3 again. They're seeming like a blur to me right now. I can't recall which was my fave...want to experience them again!

Woah. The last 5 mins were pretty good. I was into that sh!t. It was classic Gallagher!

First off. The last Debbie scene. I was ROTFLMAO! When she got up & left I was dead. Good stuff. Her devastation over Ian flushing his pills, followed by her desperation to get them replaced was very inspired and well done. Love that she went to Mickey first.

However, the secondary scenes with fighter boy were once again cringeworthy. I about gave up when he compared him & his dad having hemorrhoids to Ian/Monica having bipolar; WTF?

I feel like I can forgive this wretched Carl drug story for happening now that they're seemingly using it to bring the family back together. I LOVED when everyone told Carl to run & he did. It was fantastic, except for the unnecessary "Don't shoot me...I'm white!" line I thought that was too much, but this show always is.

LOVED Fiona giving Sammi dirty looks at the police station. Love that she's moving back in. YES. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Sammi.

I'm so sad about the Fiona/Gus developments. I hope they can still work after he gets back from tour. Seriously.

I'm still disgusted by Lip and his choices. Going back to selling drugs again with Kev so he could make his tuition payments? Lame. This is downright embarrassing. They're literally telling old stories with him now. He's a played out mess.

Of course they had Kev legitimately cheat on V in the midst of her finally getting it together. I hate this. So much. HATE. I bet he contracted an STD too

The Ian story is humdrum for me. It's inspired but I just don't care that much.

For me it was in S4 I really found them particularly selfish. Both, especially Maggie seemed to disfavor all human life & cared for nothing except each other. Did Maggie forget about her sister? She mentioned her like once or twice I believe but her main focus was always Glenn and I found that pretty off putting. When she only put Glenn's name on the Terminus sign & made no mention of Beth...Really?

I just saw the episode and I knew that girl was psycho but dang I did not expect to see her kill her sister like that and plan to do the same to the baby next. Carol did the right thing. The psycho needed to be put down

This was the first ep I was actually impressed with the actor playing Tyreese. I cringed at everything else. I'll never figure out what was so special about him & Karen? They f-cked around and got close almost completely off screen. Seriously? Not worthy of all that angst IMO.

Also I love Carol but struggle to believe she actually killed them. I can't believe that actually happened.

Im glad part of the group reunited. Ive disliked the second half of the season bc it has felt so disjointed

May be in the minority but I love the disjointed episodes -- the ones where there's only like 2 characters (and a bazillion walkers). The Daryl/Beth episode from S4 is actually one of my faves, which is odd since I mostly despise both of them. (well, Darryl's hair at least) LOL. But I was so riveted by their interactions and loved the previous scenes of them surviving.

I couldn't care less about Maggie and Glenn being reunited. They've both been so supremely selfish about how their quests affect the people around them. Glenn sitting in that tunnel saying "If Maggie went through, I'm going through" just made me want to feed him to walkers.

I used to think they were so so cute on the farm but I agree they grew incredibly SELFISH and I can no longer stand them that much. I 'd at their reunion. Too bad Tara's a lesbian bc I would've much rather seen them turn to each other in grief, and for Maggie to find them f-cking in that tunnel

Rick and Michonne are falling in love. Someone needs to just admit it.

That's me after Rick escapes death YET AGAIN. Seriusly, the show is f--king with me having him survive yet again. The man is a MONSTER, yet is propped up and treated like a hero. I really cant stand his ass. By far the WORST character left on the show. He ruins it for me. I need someone to bite his neck off.

CRINGED @ Debbie and fighter boy bopping heads & singing Maroon 5's "Maps" like it was hot sh!t. And It happened TWICE. What in GOD's NAME is happening?? What show is this? That was extremely embarrassing and so was everything else with them.

Officially can't deal with V. I'm done. And I'm really upset about it. They went & slowly ruined the BEST character & couple. Wow.

Gus: "I did want to talk and then I saw the smug look on his face. He's a d!ck, Fiona." That line gave me eternal life.

They decimated Jimmy's character in those last scenes and I was blown away by it. I was sure they brought him back to reunite with Fiona and be the main guy on the show again but clearly that's not, and will never be, the case. Either Chatwin just isn't committed to the show or...something. It's weird. But the last scene with Fiona, where it was revealed "Jack" lied about the job pretty much sealed the deal; I think It's safe to say we'll never see that prick again.

With the way the story's are going right now, I'm really concerned. I think the show is in a horrible place right now. I hope to see Fiona & Gus blossom & I wish Fiona would wake up and take charge of the Gallagher home again. All the other characters stories are underwhelming garbage.

Which is in part why I endorse Sammi being there, despite her reasons she is providing a semi-stable environment for Carl and Debbie.

She pulled out a gun in front of all of them & shot it point blank. She needs to be put away.
