  1. 3 eps into season 4 - Am I the only one who finds Tyreese unbearable to watch or is/was he some sort of fan fave at this time. Were fans pressing for him to get more airtime or something? I'm like cringing. I'll read back on this thread at some point to find out. Meanwhile, I adore Michonne and just love her interactions with Rick & Carl. Oh and I still miss Shane deeply.

  2. This last episode was shot beautifully, it almost felt like a film. So engrossing, engaging, heartbreaking.

AMD, I am totally here with you on the Steve Kazee love. Like a true and noble gay, I watch the Tony Awards every year. I just re-watched his speech. It's too bad he has to have the hipster beard on this show. He is beautiful on the inside and out. Cristin standing up, proud, Angela Lansbury - the legend - experiencing it all.

I agree -- it was captured very nicely and also the editing was really sharp/nuanced. It stood out.

And, LOL. I *love* the beard. From observing all his pictures that's not his usual look but I think it fits him very nicely. Hope he sticks with it, at least when it comes to film/tv acting

  3. "You like my kissing, yes?" LMAO

Boy oh boy those 80's ABC promos. LOL! So cool watching them but I can't imagine ever being roped in by a single one. They seem so overbearing and even cheesy sometimes. I guess that's how things were "in" back then laugh.png

He is the face of dull & smug

that would be cool if Sammi were sincere but she is a hot mess. She is only in that house bc she needs a place to live. She never gave a damn about those kid's livelihood before. She has daddy issues and part of this is also to hurt Frank bc being in that house in this leadership role she usurped for herself puts her in a position to have power over him. She didnt all of a sudden wake up and be this responsible mother figure all about helping her siblings

    Exactly!

  5. The Ian psychotic break scenes were chilling. Reminded me of Carrie's mental breakdown over on Homeland this past season (another Showtime show I highly recommend everyone here should watch). I was slightly taken aback by the baby angle of it all - I guess I didn't realize how much of a relationship Ian had with him. Noel Fisher (Mickey) shined throughout, particularly the scene where he called Ian for what had to be the umpteenth time & said he loved him. The following scene with him & Carl was also very nice and one of the reasons why I love this show.

I seriously cannot, CAN. NOT. with Sammi taking on Fiona's role in the house suddenly. No bitch. Move. The scene when she was wishing Debbie luck and Fiona was in the middle looking up at them - why didn't Fiona speak up?

How did Fighter Thot get enrolled into High School anyway? LOL. What guardian signed her up? Strange but passable I guess. I was immediately turned off by this story when everyone was calling her "Deadly Debbie" rolleyes.gif Oh, there's a YouTube video of what she did? rolleyes.gif The Fighter teen guy is just not a good actor and I hope they keep this all to a minimum - It's not working. At all.

Lip going back to school to be an RA seemed pretty pointless since they immediately had him go back home to retrieve Ian. I didn't know what was going on over there & what we were supposed to get from it. The secretly slutty, spoiled girlfriend & her side story are recycled and not interesting

I'm patiently waiting for V to get it. It's painful seeing her look & sound so dumb when she used to be the best. I need her to straighten up and fix things with Kev. A divorce story for them would be too messy. They were & should always be the rock couple of the show. This is madness. Also I was extremely disappointed when V didn't let Fi vent to her. They ALWAYS vent to each other. What in the world is happening?

Jimmy was revolting and I can't believe Fiona f-cked him twice. I am so irritated with him deciding to come back once he found out Fiona was married. BITCH, why didn't you show up as soon as you got out of Brazil? Did I miss something, what was the point of him cruising around with the lesbian girl watching Fiona's every move? He's sorry about everything that happened while he was gone and wishes he could've been there? BITCH YOU WERE IN TOWN WHEN SOME OF IT WAS HAPPENING WTF?!

Poor Steve Kazee. He's doing so, so good but you can tell his end is near. I love love love him on this show & am glad I discovered him here. Have you all seen his Tony acceptance speech? wub.png

  6. Off to the grocery store. I need to see this sh!t with my eyes. Shame on that rodent for calling La Lucci a liar. I hope she retorts.

I'm really pleased someone finally asked him about this at least. Good on SOD as always.

The Who Killed Stuart episodes were great from a technical standpoint and provided cool buildup and mystery for that sweeps month. It really brought the cast together in an interesting way. But everything after it was barely tolerable. The Kendall trial & incarceration was a mess (I'm still so shocked they put Alicia through all that as she was going through her 1st pregnancy - some of the most pressing material in her career. They had her runnning around outside near the ocean at some point, trying to hide from the cops. WTF?). The only good thing that happened was Marian shooting Marissa.

I admit I still watch Stuart's funeral sometimes. Just the part when everyone was singing "High Hopes" which I had never heard before. Oops there goes another rubber tree plant

  7. I calmed down.

It appears to be turning out that Gus actually is a standup guy but will get the shaft in favor of Jimmy. Should've known! rolleyes.gif

I found it odd Lip wasn't the slightest bit peeved at Fiona when he found out she got married.

Lip shooting up the shop w/Mickey was so dumb and I wish he'd actually gotten caught by the cops for making yet another foolish decision. It's time for him to get a taste of the slammer. Oh, wait, he's going back to school? Let me guess, to avoid making the same mistakes again? rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

Debbie was downright embarrassing. The Actress comes off more and more awkward with each scene. There's no chemistry with her and the boxing boy. I somehow felt bad for the thot bullies that she beat up.

Carl drug dealing continues to be insufferable. The dialogue for the kid he owes money to is wretched. Seriously?

I'm continuously devastated by the dismantlement of Kev & V. Crushed.

Frank weaseling his way into living off his donor family is sick. The "dad" angle is disturbing. Him f-cking the Mom came out of nowhere and was so contrived. Don't even get me started on Sammi.

Ian going off and doing a porno made sense & I was moved by Mickey's reaction and jealousy beforehand.

  8. #TBT #ThrowBackThursday to when Frankie "Quinton" Hubbard saved Zach & Kendall from the bomb shelter. I've been rewatching this story. I know these were mostly wretched times but I quite enjoyed this story point. Also I'm obsessed with the cue that opens this clip

It also plays in this clip @5:04 #KillerGrillerMiller. I think it might've been this stories theme. Love it. I love AMC's music, don't mind me please.

  9. Tonight's episode was unreal. SO much happened in one day. It somehow felt like a whole season went by. It was tremendous. Did anyone else feel a bit spent afterwards? Woah.

    First off...

wub.pngwub.pngwub.png GUS/STEVE KAZEE wub.pngwub.pngwub.pngwub.png I'm like in love over here. Obsessed, you guys. Obsessed. Is it just me?

Goddamnit if I wasn't there for those impulsive ass developments w/Fi & Gus in this episode. Their fast asses professed their love for each other & got married in the same day...LOL. It was so, so crazy. My mind was blown. But it was soo good.

Somewhere along the way, though, about 30 mins in -- I got this daunting suspicion that something may be off with him...or that maybe him & the band are connected to Jimmy & that girl somehow. I really, really hope I'm wrong on both those ends and he really is just a sweet head over heels guy. But the ending really didn't help matters. Fiona seemed to regret everything. I'm extremely bummed. I want to see them work!

BTW can the diner boss guy please disappear. He's a bother and I hate how pissy & half pressed he's acting around Fiona.

The Carl stuff I found incredibly racist and offensive. The music, dialogue and subject matter was utter sh-t. I couldn't believe that mess. Carl drug dealing now? Really? rolleyes.gif

I was surprisingly entertained by the Frank story this time...it was pretty good and I like how they crafted it. I thought it was well done all the way up until the prosthetic leg nonsense which was really insensitive & disgusting. WTF?

    17f36237-9735-4de9-b7ae-747cc519276a_zps3690a0d4-c9f4-4f8b-b033-faf6b50060c4_zps

Did anyone else LOL at this part. I was dying when V hung up on Fiona so suddenly like that laugh.png

Not sure how I feel about Debbie and the boxing guy just yet. That actor is a bit stiff. But I'm glad they're steering her away from the teen thot business.

I didn't care much for the Lip scenes. His story was islanded in Florida and every time they kept going back to it I was like "Oh yeah...he's in this episode?"

Ian/Mickey have been getting scraps. Their story is so minimal and barely focused on. I think they made a huge mistake with this bipolar Ian stuff. It's not being shown steadily enough and it comes across half baked. I really would've rather just see them work through their relationship and explore each other more.

Fun note, this episode was directed by Richie Keen; This past Summer I worked with him on a different show. That guy is a complete d!ck. I cringed when i saw his name in the credits. He does great work but he is a nightmare to deal with during the Post production process. Ick!

  10. "Look, I have Frank and Monica as parents; even I know how to show up and turn on a TV. The f-ck happened to you? Here's what you missed" LOL!

    "You date raped me"

    "We went on a date?"

"No, Debbie, you statutory raped yourself!"

Woah. That was all very arbitrary, awkward, and pretty disturbing to watch. I also find the Carl angle to be 100% disgusting and not relatable or realistic in the slightest. No kid his age f-cking does that. I wanted to see him go through puberty but not like this.

Steve Kazee/Gus wub.pngwub.png Hell yes. Was I the only one who took notice of him when we first saw him at the beginning of the season w/the rest of the band? Whenever i saw him I was wishing he had a bigger role on the show. I'm pleasantly surprised that appears to be the case. I found him & Fiona incredibly hot.

I was rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif so hard at the Mandy scenes. They wasted more time w/her and the abusive boyfriend (his name is Kenyatta? Good God). I'm glad she's left town but the idea that she left to be w/someone who abused her, all because Lip doesn't love her back is so disgusting and makes her look horrible.

They're tearing apart V's character and her rock solid relationship w/Kev. I'm deeply saddened and can barely take it.

I knew that sh-t was going to blow up the minute "propane" was mentioned. LMAO! Oh, and I was so proud and happy for Sheila as she drove off in the RV. I'm sad to see the wonderful Joan Cusack go but it was past due time.

This season overall is extremely preposterous and not as enjoyable as the last for me so far.

William H. Macy won the SAG tonight! Happy to see the show get some love. I, of course, would rather have Jeremy Allen White or Noel Fisher winning some accolades, but I'll take what I can get for this show to recieve validation.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiaBO68XkI0

That was a really classic speech. LOL!

  11. Plus why did they release this Drive teaser which looks damn near close to an MV with its ultra production value. Maybe they just recorded the Junhyung parts. It looks so cool and just how I imagined an MV for it being, I'm salivating to see all the guys in that setting. Goddamnit YG this needed to be a single! never getting over it.

ETA: I was just lmao as I thirstily searched for Drive covers, etc, and I found this fanmade MV

I'm dying because they used the Junhyung footage from above and then the rest is just slowed down Dongwoon footage from the I Knew It MV (because that video is so short and only stars him). #TheStruggle ...LOL
