It's back to 2003 for GL:TB as they revisit the
    Bill/Michelle/Danny triangle.
Reader's Light and regular installments of GL:TB return this Monday.

Reader's Light will be returning on Monday, July 16, 2007(next Monday). I thought I would wait until the beginning of next week to start the trivia and stuff rather than just start in the middle of the week. It will also coincide with GL:TB getting back into the mix of things when I decide go back to when Millee Taggart departed the show in 2003, and you all will get an installment of what I would have done with the Bill/Michelle/Danny triangle. It's quite the read. Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful Friday the 13th lol, and an excellent weekend.

Furious that his vengeful plan had flopped so badly, and feeling guilty than an innocent woman had become his unwitting victim, Kirk took action. He disguised himself as a kindly hospital orderly, Carter Wilson, and befriended an unsuspecting Annabelle. As Annabelle and Tony began to drift apart, yet again, due to his guilt, and her struggle to cope with being blind, Annabelle bonded more and more with Carter. To her, he was more like a confidante. Unfortunately, the madman became obsessed with Annabelle, and when she began to put the pieces together and determined his identity, he kidnapped her! Kirk fled to the Springfield city dam, where he planned on killing Tony and Rick once and for all. Again, Tony raced to Annabelle’s rescue, confronting Kirk on the edge of the dam. Tony nearly lost his life by nearly falling off the edge until Rick saved him. Tony and Rick were able to locate Annabelle, but Kirk got away before finally being apprehended in nearby Oakdale. Meanwhile Tony and Annabelle marriage began to improve, as the two were closer than ever now.

Lillian started suffering from severe headaches and sought treatment from a young successful doctor named Craig Tourner (Wally Kurth). It was soon revealed that Lillian was suffering a brain tumor. As Beth and Lizzie rallied around their treasured matriarch, Craig operated on Ms. Raines. As Craig became her doctor, the two grew close and soon became lovers. Ed saw the relationship blossom between the two and was totally antagonistic to the idea of the two being together. This left Craig confused, and Holly mildly nervous at the fact that Ed was getting so upset over Lillian’s new relationship with a younger man.

Craig helped Lillian buy half of Hawk Shayne’s bar; named Sarah’s (Lillian wanted to prevent Hawk from losing the bar to a vengeful Alan Spaulding.) Chuck Reynolds ended up floating Craig the loan, but Craig took all the credit for it, thus pushing Craig and Lillian closer. It was that night that the two made love. After Lillian became part owner of Sarah’s, Lillian and Hawk began to grow close while running the bar together. Craig’s true colors began to show over the following weeks when Craig grew increasingly jealous of the two and threatened Hawk to back away from Lillian. Hawk did not understand how serious Craig was until Sarah’s ended up getting vandalized and Craig hinted that he was behind it. Hawk backed off, but let the cops in on his suspicions. Despite Hawk’s reservations towards Craig, Gus and Harley shot down his idea that Craig was behind it, being that Mr. Tourneur was well respected doctor in town. Meanwhile Chuck was outraged to learn that Craig took responsibility of the loan he floated to him, and confronted him on it. This was when Chuck began to suspect that Craig was not who he said to be. (Meanwhile Ed was beginning to accept the fact that Craig and Lillian were together.) As Chuck began to focus his attention on his ex Lillian, Felicia began to feel as if Chuck was drifting away from her. In reality he was. He still harbored feelings for Lillian, and could not stand seeing her with another man, especially a man who was younger than him. Beth and later Ed warned him to back off, but Chuck would not listen. Then Chuck met Craig’s former sister in law Estelle Gardner. Chuck then learned form Hawk about his suspicions of the guy. Chuck decided to do a background check on the guy. He learned that his wife, Julia had been murdered in a supposed robbery gone wrong at their home. One of the things that were stolen was a rare jade statue. Chuck then paid a visit to Julia’s sister in the nearby town of Bay City and learned that she suspected that Craig was responsible for the murder of her dear sister.

Meanwhile Bill would uncover the truth about Billy embezzling money from the pension fund of those that worked at Lewis. The city council had elected several nominees for businessman and businesswoman of the year. On the men’s end were Alan-Michael Spaulding, Joshua Lewis, and Bill Lewis. On the women’s end were Vanessa Chamberlain, Amanda Spaulding, and Holly Lindsey. The nomination couldn’t have come at a worst time for Josh, for he had kept mum about his brother’s embezzling from Lewis. So when Holly and Josh was announced the winner, Josh was falling apart inside. Then at the luncheon Bill had learned what his father had done and crashed the luncheon demanding to speak with Josh. Billy would arrive at the luncheon to hear a private conversation between Josh and Bill, where Bill expressed how much of a disappointment his father had always been to him. Storming out, Billy did not hear his son retract the statement after Josh showed him that Billy was trying to be a good father to him. Billy nearly ended his sobriety (and took his life) until Vanessa stopped him, and it was then that Vanessa and Billy began to grow close again. The next day, Bill and Billy came face to face, and Billy handed in his resignation from Lewis. The news got leaked to The Springfield Mirror, owned by Sebastian, Blake, and Alan-Michael. Sebastian curiosity was piqued at the news of this and decided to investigate.

In 2006, Kevin and Jason Marler were shipped off to boarding school. Now both Kevin and Jason returned to Springfield after Kevin got into trouble at Lincoln Prep School. Though he was found innocent, he decided to enroll in Springfield High School where he met the sweet Tammy Winslow. Although Marina was deeply attracted to Kevin, his focus was on the alluring Tammy. As Marina continued to pine after Kevin, she met the handsome Spaulding stable hand, Peter Reardon and immediately decided that he was the one for her. The fact Peter was in love with another young woman, that young woman being Tammy, did not matter to Marina and she went after him. Meanwhile Kevin learned that Tammy had feeling for his best friend, who happened to be Peter. However unbeknownst to everyone, Kevin had come to town with every serious drinking problem, which only his brother Jason knew about. He almost died when he passed out drunk in his car and carbon monoxide fumes overcame him. Despite the seriousness of Kevin’s alcoholism, Jason kept quiet out of fear that Kevin would see this as a betrayal. Kevin’s turn into becoming an alcoholic came through with the help of Marina who wanted Peter for herself and Marina certainly helped to ply Kevin with alcohol and also encouraged Kevin to pick fights with Peter. Soon his problems got the best of him and he was arrested for drunk driving! Fortunately for Kevin, Blake sympathized with her son (much to Jason’s protest.) and convinced Ross help pay for bail. Meanwhile, Tammy was finding her life spiraling out of control, with her problems with Peter and Kevin going at each other, and now her father, Rob Layne, deciding to drop back into her life, culminated with the constant bickering that happening between her mom and dad, Marina convinced Tammy to run away to Chicago to escape these so called problems. In Chicago, Tammy got in trouble working for an unsavory man named Gavin Kruger. After an extensive search Tammy was located in Chicago at Gavin’s club. At first when Tammy saw the five people (Kevin, Jason, Peter, her mother, Cassie, and Ross Marler) she told them to get lost, but then one of the patrons, at Gavin’s “club”, started getting rough with her and then another started roughing up her mom, Cassie, Tammy started getting the feeling that her mom, Ross, Kevin, Jason, and Peter were all right all along and all she wanted to do was go back home. Unfortunately, the two patrons who roughed up both Tammy and Cassie started threatening Ross, Kevin, Peter, and Jason and started to pick a fight with them. Then Gavin out in the middle of the fight (which Ross, Kevin, Peter, and Jason were starting to get the upper hand in) and he tried to get them all to stop. Unfortunately, Peter’s fist went right into Gavin’s face and that about the end of Gavin! Ross also had a backup plan to help get Tammy back home. Ross had contacted the Chicago Police Department and they came and finally closed down Gavin’s “club” and also arrested him (apparently the District Attorney in Chicago had already been investigating Duke’s “nightclub”, suspecting that it was really a prostitution ring, especially designed for pimping out young virginal girls.)

TOM joins GL:TB as Shayne Lewis
Y&R vet David Tom joins GL:TB as Josh Lewis's prodigal son, Shayne Lewis. However when Shayne returns, things will not be as they seem. "Since leaving for Bosnia, Shayne has changed into a dark and cynical man, one reminiscent of Robert Newman's Josh Lewis under Douglas Marland's tenure. Shayne will become quite the man in the board room at Lewis as he gets more involved there." states EP/HW Michael Allen. Tom debuts in episode 36.

OLTL vet Erin Torpey will debut in episode 36 as Reva and Josh's daughter, Marah Lewis. "Torpey takes on the role of Marah in the midst of her character joining the big boys at Lewis. There will be quite a storm brewing between Shayne and Marah in the upcoming months. Marah will also serve as one of Olivia Spencer's few friends in Springfield." teases EP/HW Michael Allen.

With news of Torpey's arrival, insiders are hinting that Sam Spencer's return isn't far behind.

Joshua Casaubon joins the show as Ji-Min's shady assistant, Trent Spencer. "He's the kind of guy that gives you goose bumps whenever you see him. He will not be good news for Olivia, who wants nothing but out of her new marriage to his boss." states EP/HW Michael Allen. Casaubon debuts in episode 36.

GL is looking to cast the role of Benjamin "Ben" Reade. Unlike what occured GL, on GL:TB, Ben left for Baltimore to oversee the Stoddard Foundation, a foundation honoring his mother Maeve Stoddard. Ben will arrive in Springfield in quite the shocking way.

On the work front, Vanessa Chamberlain and Alexandra Spaulding rallied their forces to stop Damian Vocheck’s hostile take-over of Spaulding Enterprises. Joining Damian was Alan-Michael, who thought that Alex had wrongly taken the company from him. Many citizens of Springfield however were doubtful that Damian could take Spaulding. Damian however remained determined to seize control of Spaulding. Damian appeared in a face-to-face meeting with Vanessa on WSPR’s Market Street Week. Afterwards, the pair met privately and argued. The chemistry was instant and unmistakable. The fight turned to passion as Damian pulled his rival into a kiss. Vanessa responded. A new romance was born in Springfield.

Vanessa refused to get wrapped up in an affair with Damian. (Their romance had remained a secret to the rest of the town, for the fact that Alex would not be satisfied in the least to learn that the Vice President of Spaulding was sleeping with the enemy. So when in public the two fought like cats and dogs, but behind closed doors the two made passionate love.) She believed that Damian was only sleeping with her so he could wrestle control of Spaulding. In order to prove her wrong, Damian appeared on Market Street Week again, this time announcing that his bid for SE was over, and he was making plans of moving Vocheck Enterprises to Springfield. Vanessa however remained reluctant, for a part of her still loved her ex Billy.

Meanwhile a furious Alan-Michael went to war with Alex on his lonesome. Not known to A-M, Alex’s machinations were more complex than he thought. In order to regain her position at Spaulding, Alex sold her soul to the devil himself, Sebastian Thorpe. In return for his help, by spying and sabotaging several SE projects A-M had organized, he wanted Alex’s hand in marriage! Sebastian believed that by marrying Alex he would have all the power and wealth he ever dreamed of, just like his father. Alex agreed, however she intended on going back on her and Sebastian’s deal, no matter what the cost. She had already been married to one Thorpe before, and she would die before she was to marry another one. As Sebastian and Alex’s partnership continued, Alex used Sebastian to ruin her enemy Mindy Lewis. When Sebastian brought half of Mindy’s fashion company, it was Alex’s money that went into the company not his. As Mindy detested the thought of working alongside Sebastian, what she didn’t know was that it was her enemy Alex, a woman she despised more than anyone the face of the earth, more than Sebastian, was the owner of half of her company. As co-owner of the company, Alex plotted the company’s rise and fall, all with the help of Sebastian.

While this fact remained unknown to Mindy, what she did know was that Alex was blackmailing her with information regarding the death of Eve Guthrie. If it was ever to get out, her fiancé Rick and his father, Ed would be tried for murder and would undoubtedly lose their medical licenses. Not wanting that to happen at the hands of Alex, Mindy complied when Alex demanded that Mindy vote for her at the upcoming Spaulding shareholders’ meeting.

Elsewhere on the business front, Damian went to war with the Lewises, attempting to acquire their company in a hostile take over. Not only did this make Damian a rival of the Lewises, but it also made Billy and Damian enemies. Unbeknownst to Billy, Damian was carrying on an affair with his former wife Vanessa. When Reva came upon this secret, she told Billy, who came upon the pair in bed together. A hurt Billy complied when Vanessa begged him not to tell anyone for she would lose her job at Spaulding. Thankfully Reva was able to convince Billy to fight for Vanessa. In order to help Billy, Reva decided to cozy up to Mr. Vocheck and try to distract him from his affair with Vanessa, while Billy worked on winning her back. To Reva’s dismay, Damian knew what Reva was up, but decided to play along. As Reva’s plan continued to play out, Josh grew increasingly jealous of the two constantly spending time together.

Damian would come upon Billy and Vanessa on the verge of a reunion. Knowing that Billy was about to propose to Vanessa, he decided to get the upper hand. Damian romantically whisked Vanessa off to Budapest where he proposed to her!

Back in Springfield, Damian’s newly hired nurse (Damian had a rare blood disorder that took a toll on his health every so often.), Stacey Reardon, was intent on solving a mystery involving his new home, Thorneway Manor (A home where her mom and Quint had once lived). When Stacey was first hired to work there, Mr. Vocheck warned her not to set foot into the west wing of the manor, not giving a clear reason as to why. However, Stacey’s curiosity got the best of her and while her boss was away in Budapest, she wandered through the halls, and into the library. There she came upon a painting of a beautiful young woman. Even more mysterious was that there was a name plate on the bottom of the painting that spelled out “My Beloved”. Before Stacey could digest any of this information, Stacey was confronted by Damian’s loyal and longtime maid Olga, who demanded to know the reason why she was there. As Stacey was ready to explain, the sound of glass breaking came from the room above the library. However to Stacey’s surprise, Olga acted unfazed by the noise, acting as if she had not heard the noise. Stacey was certain that someone else was there in the west wing, but Olga insisted that they were the only two there. Olga warned Ms. Reardon not to return to this room again, and act as if she had not seen the portrait. Stacey complied, but confided in her friend and confidante Matthew in what she had seen.

Matthew and Stacey had become quite a pair. Although their relationship had remained simply platonic, the thought of anything else was the furthest from their mind. Despite the fact that their fathers were mortal enemies (Quint Chamberlain and a back from the dead Mark Evans), Stacey and Matthew had formed a close knit friendship. Stacey was there when Matthew’s heart was broken by Michelle (A woman who she despised.). Matthew was there for Stacey when a much older Phillip Spaulding dumped her for the affections of his ex wife Beth. Now Stacey was pregnant with Phillip’s child, but had no intention on telling the father, Phillip, that she was carrying his child. When questions began to arise, as to whom the father could be, Matthew shocked Michelle and his sister Amanda by revealing that he was the father after a one night stand with her while he was in a relationship Michelle. Even after that, Stacey considered herself to be alone and pregnant, despite having family and friends there for her (Just as her mother considered herself to be when she was pregnant with her years ago.). This was when she decided to take the high paying job as being a nurse for Springfield’s newest resident, the wealthy Damian Vocheck. Now Stacey and Matthew had become involved in a mystery surrounding the west wing of Mr. Vocheck’s new home.

Sebastian hired an expert assassin to do his bidding, a woman in fact. This woman was Fiona Bradshaw, the very woman that Alan-Michael was carrying an affair with. Of course it was a ploy of hers to get close to Alan-Michael. It was until Alan-Michael began spilling out his entire soul and heart to her, that Fiona began to stray away from the original plan. Why? She had fallen in love with her victim! As she was having sex with Alan-Michael she was having meaningless sex with Sebastian Thorpe, who also had her charmed around his little thumb. When Sebastian learned of Fiona’s unwillingness to carry out their plans, he went ballistic. Meanwhile Dinah was trying everything to reconcile with Alan-Michael, when Sebastian revealed to her, her husband’s affair with Fiona. Sebastian used this fact to manipulate Dinah into having a total mental breakdown. Sebastian continuously manipulated Dinah by using this piece of information, he was egging her on to do what she had done to Hart; kill him! Sebastian then planned to frame Fiona for the deed. When a rally was held on 5th Street promoting Alan-Michael’s campaign, Fiona came upon Sebastian’s plot to have Dinah shoot and kill Alan-Michael. However to her dismay, she had gotten there too late; Alan-Michael had been shot! Nobody knew of the culprit but her, Dinah, and Sebastian. Dinah however was too out of it to realize what happened. She had gone into a catatonic state when she showed up on her mother’s doorstep holding the very same gun that shot Alan-Michael. As Alan-Michael hung between the balance of life and death, Fiona had one final showdown with Sebastian. Fiona was terrified to learn the true extent of Sebastian’s evil deeds, that included using her as a scapegoat for the crime as a way to get back at her. This forced Fiona to leave town, not before sneaking into Alan-Michael’s hospital room and sharing a tearful good-bye with him, even though he had been unconscious. Sebastian had carefully placed enough evidence to lead Harley into believing that Fiona was behind the shooting. Gus however remained reluctant, he believed that it seemed all too easy, however Harley was convinced. Dinah meanwhile was secretly shipped off to a mental institution in New York City by her mom Vanessa. When Billy learned of what Vanessa was doing, Billy protested but after Vanessa confided in Billy about the guilt that plagued her over this, regretting having ever given up Dinah for adoption, Billy understood somewhat. Ross wouldn’t be let in on the plan until later, and demanded that Vanessa do the right thing this time. Vanessa remained persistent in protecting her daughter. Meanwhile the word around town was that Dinah had suffered a mental breakdown after Alan-Michael’s shooting, distraught with grief. That couldn’t have been the furtherest thing from the truth. When Alan-Michael regained consciousness, although confined to a wheelchair for a few weeks, he grew bitter and cold, while heavily drinking. While a part of Alan-Michael believed that Fiona couldn’t have been the culprit, another one was confused and did not know what to believe anymore. Even worse was that Dinah was missing, but he chalked that up to Dinah running off with some man. Vanessa didn’t stop him from believing that either, she led him on to. As Ross grew more conflicted about hiding the truth from the police, he was also visiting his daughter Dinah in New York. Blake became suspicious, having not known the truth yet. A curious Blake tracked Ross to New York, and found him there with Vanessa! To her surprise, they weren’t there because they were involved romantically, they were there visiting a mentally ill Dinah! When Blake sneaked into Dinah’s room, she realized how truly ill Dinah was. Blake was shocked to see that Dinah was entirely unresponsive. That until she mentioned Alan-Michael’s name, and Dinah viciously attacked Blake! Ross and a few of the orderlies had to rescue Blake, thus blowing her cover. After apologizing to Ross for not trusting in him, he confided in her about how much he had failed as a father. Blake convinced Ross that he was the furthest thing from being a bad father. When Ross, Vanessa, and Blake returned to Springfield, Blake came face to face with Alan-Michael. Blake, going against Vanessa’s wishes, told A-M the truth. This caused a wedge between Ross and Blake, and made Vanessa forever resentful of Blake. When Alan-Michael paid a visit to Dinah he finally learned the truth from Vanessa about what Dinah had done. While alone with Dinah, Alan-Michael was there to witness Dinah’s first few words since going into an catatonic state. As he listened on in a conversation Dinah was holding with herself, he learned that she came upon the affair he had been having with Dinah, and she also mentioned Sebastian. Alan-Michael putting two and two together, he confronted Sebastian on all of his evil deeds. From revealing the truth to Dinah, to being the blackmailer, to even blackmailing Dinah into sleeping with him. Getting out of the wheelchair that had confined Alan-Michael for weeks, Alan-Michael violently came charging after Sebastian, and the two men went flying through a glass window at Towers and landed on the balcony outside. Alan-Michael would have beaten Sebastian to a bloody pulp if it hadn’t been for his uncle Ed and Ross. (This resulted in a unique scene between Ed and Sebastian in the stairwell of Towers, where Ed was repairing Sebastian’s broken nose. How ironic it was that Ed of all people had come to Sebastian’s rescue!) Alan-Michael returned to the mansion and finally received information regarding Fiona’s whereabouts. Unbeknowst to him, Gus and Harley were following closely behind, they still believed that Fiona was behind the shooting. Meanwhile back in Springfield, when Blake learned of what Sebastian had done to Dinah, for the first time she expressed how truly repulsed she was of her brother’s actions after having seen Dinah. Sebastian would pay a visit to Dinah himself, and while not showing how affected he was of the state she was in, deep down he began to show signs of guilt. When Ross arrived, he had violently slammed Sebastian against the wall of the room, suddenly Dinah showed signs of recovery by uttering “Daddy? Are you there?” Ross shared a heart breaking moment when Dinah returned to the catatonic state she was in. Meanwhile Alan-Michael had tracked Fiona all the way to the state of Minnosota where she planned on escaping to Canada. When Alan-Michael and Fiona came face to face the same way they had met the last time, in a bar, they two reunited. Fiona tried to convince Alan-Michael that he didn’t belong there, but A-M explained to her that he was there to stay. After explaining to her what happened back in Springfield, A-M and Fiona made love in the seedy motel room she was staying in. Despite this, A-M faced a terrible decision; turn in the wife who he secretly still harbored feelings for, despite her shooting him, or let the other woman who he loved take the fall. So far, Alan-Michael planned on going on the run with Fiona, and using this as a way to escape the prison that his life was. Meanwhile back in Springfield Alan was close to coming upon the truth that Dinah shot A-M, and wanted blood. Vanessa was desperate to keep Alan from finding out, not knowing that Alan was guilty of the same crime months ago.

Back in Minnesota, Gus and Harley came face to face with Alan-Michael, and warned him about trying to meet with Fiona. This signaled A-M to get out of town, but when he returned to the hotel room, Fiona was gone! Ready to find her, Alan-Michael was confronted by Harley. Elsewhere, Sebastian was also in Minnesota, intent on finding Fiona before the cops did. Gus came face to face with Fiona who was preparing to leave on small charter plane. Fiona pleaded her innocence to Gus, but Gus insisted that he had to turn her in. When it seemed as if Fiona would give up, Fiona shot Gus in the shoulder and ran off. Arriving at the airfield, was also Sebastian who lurked around the hangers looking for Fiona, who he knew was there. Loaded in his pocket was a gun. Alan-Michael and Harley arrived at the hanger to find Gus shot, but still willing to find Fiona. Harley however insisted. As Harley was attending to Gus who was bleeding endlessly, Alan-Michael ran off in search for Fiona. Fiona was confronted by Sebastian, who was pointing a gun at her! At the sound of Harley’s voice, Sebastian grabbed Fiona and took off. However Fiona was able to escape him. When Fiona ran away from Sebastian, she had run into Harley. There to witness the confrontation, was Alan-Michael. Alan-Michael was on the verge of admitting the truth; that Dinah was the culprit but for some reason could not bring himself to do it. When Fiona had pulled out her gun and was pointing it at Harley, a gun went off nearly missing Harley. (This shot was fired by Sebastian in order to agitate Harley into shooting Fiona.) Fiona then ran off, trying to make it to the plane, but was shot by Harley. A-M rushed to her side, but unfortunately, she died in his arms. Alan-Michael was devastated, Sebastian the snake as he had always been, slithered away from this without a scratch. Fiona, having no family, was buried in Springfield, her funeral was paid by Alan-Michael. Alan-Michael would be the only one to attend her funeral, until Gus and Harley showed up. Harley tried to comfort Alan-Michael in all his grief, but he only lashed out at her and Gus. This was the beginning of Alan-Michael’s transformation into a cold and calculating man like his father. Alan learned that Dinah was his son’s shooter and was hell bent on getting revenge on Dinah, but a solemn Alan-Micahel coldly threatened his father about revealing to the public the truth about the mess involving Connor McCaskill. After hearing what he had done, Vanessa thanked Alan-Michael. In New York, Dinah was making progress in her therapy sessions, and on one sunny afternoon, Ross, Blake, Bill, Vanessa, Kevin, and Jason all were shocked to say the least to see a vibrant Dinah back to normal as if nothing had happened that last few months. To her nothing had happened, for she had blocked those months out. The Spaulding household braced for Dinah’s return.
