If there’s one thing Paula and Jeanne get right, it’s family moments. I loved the Xmas episodes and it was one of the best we’ve had in years.

I think Annie’s paternity reveal should’ve been a bigger deal. Everybody seemingly has forgotten about Martin (Lola was given more lip service after her death than Martin) I like the infusion of more humor, but I just don’t think it was necessary to include that in Max vs Jack at the Beales. That’s one thing I can give Wadey, he has included a few witty funny moments (Max saying he’s a great dad, Ian and Kathy over Christmas). The Xmas episodes didn’t get interesting until AFTER Chrissie revealed herself and Sam entered the scene. That’s like 15-20 solid mins of entertainment. And Max and Cindy? I knew it was going to happen but again, played for laughs. Wadey is seemingly trying to rejuvenate the show by revisiting old previous highs and it’s falling flat. We didn’t need Anthony to get the Keanu treatment and get murdered in the Vic. We still have no solid confirmation he’s the father of the twins or why Zoe kept it from him. Just a load of plot driven drivel.

Might I add, Joey and Hayley have this funny rapport, the way that Hayley seemed annoyed at Joeys presence and Joey seemingly acting as if he has Hayley’s number and can appeal to her need for approval at Farimont Crest. 😆 Only time I found Joey entertaining

What a treat the last two episodes have been. Reminds me of AMC/P&G soaps with the family oriented episodes. Bill giving us some more hints about his turbulent relationship with his father, I think we’re in for a very tragic backstory for him and I’m all for it.

Very good Nigel centric episode. I might not find most of Wadeys tenure must see tv, but he does tend to get the emotional beats of the story right.

Crazy how the show brings Shawn out of being basically non existent just to shoot him lol

I’ve come to realize that sums up Cwikley/Ford so far. Good ideas that lead to a few good scenes, even a few strong character driven ones; but ends up missing the mark or not tapping into the full potential of these good ideas. Anyways here’s to hoping Stephanie somehow ends up pregnant with Jeremy’s baby somewhere down the line after he’s proven that he’s a changed man (And Alex proves to be more of a dick).

Looks like we have a Max centric year ahead of us oh lord Flash forward episode centering around him

I can’t help but to get drawn in by Dani and Andre but it just angers me that it’s so obvious that they’re not endgame.

Has anyone mentioned GL’s ridiculous pairing of Alan Michael and Marina. JFC oh and correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t we also get Mallet and Marina? Wheeler and Co must have seriously put up pictures of the cast on a dart board and blindly threw darts to see who would end up with who.

Loved seeing the flashbacks and the fact that it was a Horton centric episode ♥️

Hopefully there are three Hawthorne brothers; Luke, Jacob, and Izaiah. Older cop Luke who’s more in tune with his fathers dirty dealings, Jacob who is the favorite and sees everything in black or white, and Izaiah the black sheep of the family because he didn’t follow in his father and brothers footsteps.

I would’ve been happy with either Dominic or Paul winning. Congrats Paul his speech was lovely especially about his mom. congrats Nancy, her speech was lovely as well

So was I the only one thinking that Hayley attempt at poisoning Bill is going to lead to Naomi miscarrying? That’d be an interesting twist.

The extras on this show are unlike any in daytime. LOL “I’ll have what those two were having.” If it’s not the storylines that entertain you then it'll be the little lines they give the extras on the show and some of their facial expressions. I hope the show never loses this aspect 😆

I could see him having chemistry with Nicole, but the show seemingly wants to go down this route of Carlton and Nicole.

Eva vs Kat is where it at. 🔥 Martin/Smitty scenes was also good stuff, it’s so great to see a gay couple get such honest and complex writing. So far this has been a very good start to the week, with very little focus on Ashley/Derek.

Jamey’s first episode as a writer for BTG was pretty good (best of the week so far). Maybe he’ll do well on this soap bc he certainly sucked on DAYS.

I loved the Vegas wedding hosted by an Anita impersonator. It was fun, but wasn’t overdone like say some of the supposed humor Ron used to do at DAYS. (Reminded me of the humor you’d see on OLTL during the Tomlin era)

Add me to the list of folks who don’t consider Jen Jacobs a bad actress, it’s just the writing. Hell Ashley as a character could be turned around and become a fan favorite, but currently it’s the writing that is letting her down.

I anticipate this being better than when the town was given those sweets from Sweet Bits and I think Jadas sister had something to do with it? Now that was LAME.

While Wednesday episode was a low point for me as a viewer, Thursday and Friday made up for it as both episodes built up anticipation for next week. Loved the dialogue and character interactions. Bring on next week! This one was where characters were set up to be players in the next phases of their stories.
