  1. Only if Power give that man wife something else to do. Maybe go to college to manger all his business or become a lawyer. Just do something beside wanting to be married to a drug lord.

Make me think that what 50 cent think of his first kid mother. All she want to be with somebody who sell drugs.

Like Empire, Power did have a short first season and didn't know if they would be canceled. Now they have a little more breathing room I am very hopeful that they will expand the characters more in Season 2. Tasha was starting to get a little more backbone towards the end of the season and I hope it continues.

I believe that Bunkie the only one who should have been killed this season. Next season should have been Vernon. I still needed information about how close Bunkie & Cookie would have been when she got out of jail. It seem like he was going to keep an eye on Lucious for Cookie.

Don't get me started on Power, I like it but after that guy cheated his wife. & his wife just wanted to be married to a drug lord, when he wanted legal money. I just stop watching that show.

They already said FOX told them to kill someone off in the finale. The two finale episodes were the only ones to be shot after the show premiered. FOX probably wanted someone to die to "break the Internet" and create buzz. Maybe that's why there was so many rumors of Cookie killing Anika by accident. (I'm glad that didn't happen)
  2. Update: FOX ordered fast final ratings. Empire rose to a 6.5 adults 18-49 rating from 8-10PM, with the 8-9PM hour earning a 6.1 adults 18-49 rating and the 9-10PM hour earning a 6.9, just a tenth below the 7.0 adults 18-49 rating for Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead.

Ah! Looks like Fox (and Nielsen) will treat the final hour of #EmpireFinale as the "finale"-- not the two-hour average.

Good! I hate when double episodes are counted together and averaged. With this Episode 11 had a 6.0 and Episode 12 had a 6.8.... And they still may get adjusted up. That 3.8 and 9.9 million viewers seem so minuscule now lmao.

  4. Yeah the rap battle scene was the most unrealistic thing I've seen done with Jamal.

Let me go watch the finale again. I love when Dwight realized he wasn't dying he laughed, when Cookie opened her box it was a pillow, and when Dwight was being carted off to jail he told Jamal to perform their song.

Also Taraji slayed in that red dress.

I also just realized that Vernon snitched on Dwight on his own. He went into the FBI station to tell on him that's why he went to see Andre. I don't think the others were involved.

Andre's face when Agent Carter said Vernon was their primary witness.

ETA: Empire got a 10.4/17 at 8pm and 11.2/17 at 9pm in households. So it officially went up every episode this season. Another record for them! Now I'm waiting on those viewers and demos.

  5. A house is a statement....different strokes for different folks but if I could afford it I'd buy the mansion/manor of my dreams and go balls to the walls like my girl Tre did.

The house looks really nice! Congrats!

I love her but I ain't doing nothing like how Teresa did it. LMAO!
  6. Nene is a hot mess. She can't take any responbility. She also lies a lot. Peter didn't approach at Kenya's ball and never spoke to her in a disrespectful manner. She also still can't say why she doesn't like Kenya. When Kandi read her is when she couldn't take anymore and stormed out insulting Dr. Jeff in the process. SMH.

  7. Thanks!

    So this:

    "Where are the Latinos?

Though its an exciting, juicy, melodramatic show, Empire does the Latino community a huge disservice by positioning the entire hip-hop business as black and white literally. In the pilot episode, when Lucious announces the upcoming IPO, he looks upon a conference room filled with black executives, with only two or three white businessmen in the group. The same is true of the A&R executives over which Anika (played by Grace Gealey) presides in the False Imposition episode. There are plenty of Latino publicists, managers, agents, lawyers, and executives within every record label, so why don't we see any on the show? Not a single one? Cmon now! To ignore the Latino community in a series centered on hip-hop music is to perpetuate the myth that, somehow, we werent involved in the birth and evolution of this genre, which is not only offensive, but also inaccurate."

*side eye* Whose to say that none of the black or white faces sitting around that table aren't Latino? *side eye*

Either way, this show is about a family that is "black, not Latino" (as far as I can tell). So of course, the principal players will be "black, not latino". They can cast supporting players with Latinos (by that I mean those with the right look implied by this article), but the major players are the Lyons.

I guess I am shocked that one marginalized group is offended because they don't have a major presence in a TV show about another marginalized group!

ETA: And I am not the only one as the Afro-Latinos are having a field day in the comments! O_O

LOL at that article snippet. She needs to direct that letter to the a White execs of Hollywood and try to see about getting programs with Latino/Hispanic cast members on major broadcast and cable networks instead of criticizing another group of people who have less representation on television than they do.
  8. Yeah, they are going to use Empire to save the damn network! Empire on AI tonight? Yeah, I'm still gonna skip that sh!tty show!

LMAO! I know Jussie and Bryshere are performing but did I hear right when they said Taraji was appearing? Girl bye! I don't love Cookie that much.
