Shah's Pulled Due to Union Strike: http://deadline.com/2014/09/shahs-of-sunset-strike-season-premiere-delayed-bravo-833424/
Looks like the post-production people are striking in Hollywood so the Shah's of Sunset mid-October premiere has been delayed. I wonder if this will push back the two upcoming Housewives series? Of course they haven't announced a date for either one, but if the people from those shows are striking as well I think it's likely we could see them arriving later. My guess is they'll do everything in their power to get RHOA on air for November sweeps, but I could see RHOBH pushed to December.
Because I like to harp on things I must say this is yet another reason it was so stupid not to just run RHOMelbourne in primetime. It was edited, ready to go and has been well-received. Now they literally have nothing they can air in this timeslot.

Have we talked about the big physical fight between Brandi and Kim on RHOBH? LINK: http://www.realitytea.com/2014/09/11/report-kim-richards-brandi-glanville-get-physical-altercation-filming-rhobh/
It looks like this might be true. I knew the rumors of the new season being boring were a lie.

That promo shot is horrible. And IMO, they should've added a 5th woman, preferably conservative, to balance out this show. Dare I say it but Sarah Palin would've been a good choice. At least it would've been must-see TV with Rosie v. Sarah.
In other news, Ana Quincoces [from RHOM] was one of nine to be considered for a seat, but that changed once Rosie signed on and she declared no reality stars co-host. She spilled this on Facebook [i am friends with her on there].
Ana was really strong in her guest hosting spots, I'd say at the very top of the list whether it be Conservative or Latino. Rosie made a mistake there because Ana was barely on a reality show and has a background as a chef and a lawyer which would've come in handy on this show.

I wish Kim had stayed so we never would've gotten Porsha. I think ratings would've been through the roof still had Kim survived that season. We would've had her feuding with Kim (lets not forget Kandi had very little story that year) and her reunion with Nene. Plus I think Kenya and Kim would've been friends.

The DC thing is ridiculous, but Bravo did attempt to give them a second season. The 4 ladies negotiated together and said they would NOT do the show if Michaele was on season two and thats was ultimately killed the show. I think that was foolish on Bravo's part, because despite the scandal, that hurt the show more than anything. Keeping Michaele would've also made it impossible to get ANYBODY to join the cast. They should've been willing to move on.
If you look back at that time the housewives franchise was at such a high and they made so many different mistakes which have ultimately derailed things. I hope they can make a turnaround for each of the series.

^ I agree. I think they are so stupid for not airing Melbourne in primetime simply so we'd have SOMETHING other than New Jersey on. Even if they just put it in NYC's tuesday slot. It feels so weird with just one series on! I really need them to release a trailer or cast photo for BH and ATL soon. I imagine it won't be until October though.

Ramona can't carry the entire show herself, just like Nene couldn't carry I Dream of Nene without Marlo. RHONY had a BIG, HUGE cast of personalities and replaced them with mellow women who don't seem to do anything. We lost fashion week, we lost the fabulous trips to the Hampton's and the parties, this past season we lost all of that PLUS no tropical vacations. This is also what killed Cindy. She was fine, but is that who you replace Bethenny with? Hell no. I do think had Carole joined in season 4 things would've gone differently. She could've replaced Bethenny as the single "sex & the city" girl with the witty talking heads.
And yes I will never forgive Bravo for canceling DC. Ratings were good and there was so much they had to work with. I wonder what would've happened had they aired things in the original order, with the White House incident happening midseason? I personally feel that could've given them a big midseason boost and then the fallout with Michaele and Erika vs Cat could've driven the final few episodes. Plus they had to cut so much good stuff which no longer fit the narrative because it obviously happened after the White House incident.
While we're on the subject of DC, I should mention that Cat has moved back to the US after two years in Spain. For those who've forgotten, she's appeared several times on WWHL and has a feud with LuAnn so they asked her to join RHONY for season 5, but she turned them down. She said she was also asked to do Ladies of London, but she turned them down because she lived in Spain at the time and was a new mother. Depending on where she lives she could be an interesting addition to OC or NYC.

LOL. Ramona is nothing close to a Nene, Lisa V, Teresa hell even Caroline. The show will be sstruggling whether she's on or not.
Ramona IS a star and you're giving me diarrhea with your hateraid. I would say she's one of few housewives who has had an off season. She is so unfiltered that she always manages to pull something out and she NEVER feels scripted. That is something I appreciate about Ramona. She is her crazy self regardless. Even when she tried to be renewed, she is still a total mess. I love her. She is very lovable to me. I still wonder what condition she has because despite her smarts, she seems like she isn't all there.

Miami was an all latina telenovella, which is the same problem I feel you have in New Jersey. They cast all their Miami shows with the same type of people and the audience is too narrow for that type of show. Why would they watch RHOM on Bravo when they have endless options on Telemundo and Univision? Basketball Wives was set in Miami and had almost an entire black cast. Where were those women on RHOM? I want integration on all of these series, including ATL. It's just real life and by limiting the search pool you're more likely to end up with dud housewives.

I agree with what you're saying Cheap, but I think that isn't necessary. Bravo are just single minded fools. Look at how black viewers flock to their shows on Sunday with heavy black presence. When relaunching New Jersey, why scrape the bottom of the barrel trying to find more Italians in a diluted market, when they could've cast a black housewife or other races that aren't in that circle of Italian/Mob culture. They shouldn't be so afraid to mix it up and be diverse in their casting. For all it's faults and lack of success, I'd say Beverly Hills has probably been the most risk taking when it comes to casting. Last year you had 3 non-Americans with accents and one Puerto Rican housewife. That would NEVER happen on the other series.

I just watched the pilot and this show looks interesting. You can definitely see the Spelling touch in the casting and production feel of this show. I don't think I've ever seen anything other than the opening credits for this show, but since it's all on YouTube I may continue watching. I have so many other shows on my plate, but this looks fun and really isn't a ton of episodes to watch.

I'm not sure what to believe because it's still early, but demoting your only original housewife is foolish. LuAnn and Ramona are all that's left and need to remain Housewives. Ramona is always central each season and she brings ratings. If anybody needed to be demoted it was Sonja who is just bringing nothing to the table. Also, although I like them, why would you build a show around Heather, Kristen and Carole when the ratings have plummeted since they were all brought on?
The goals for season 7 should be:
1. Find a black, rich socialite to join the cast
2. Bring back Jill as a full-time housewife, suck it up and bring Alex with her. Give Bethenny a deal for her own show ONLY if she agrees to recur on RHONY.
3. Get back on Fashion Week. Am I the only one who remembers weeks of them attending fashion shows and it really feeling like they were at the center of what was going on in New York? I miss that. No more Montana, give me Fashion Week.

Re-watching this season I really HATE LuAnn. She is so evil. The situation later on when they all had dinner it was obvious LuAnn didn't tell the blondes what time it was. Alex got there first and humbled herself and was very nice to LuAnn despite their argument and LuAnn just ate her ass alive, told her she couldn't eat dinner because she was late and then after Alex apologized for being late she made her so uncomfortable that she left the table. Then when Ramona and Sonja arrived she didn't even let them sit at the table.
If they were going to fire anybody for being toxic it obviously should've been Jill and LuAnn. Nobody else was being aggressive or crazy the entire season. In fact, Alex was mostly reserved for many episodes until people came for her. You can see the entire season people trying to make Ramona out to be this aggressive monster, but even she wasn't doing much besides sticking her foot in her mouth here and there. Jill and LuAnn were just vicious.

Okay I'm on the final Morocco episode of RHONY S4 and I still say this is a good season. Cindy is a bust, but overall this season is good and Cindy isn't so bad that she takes away from the scenes. If she were just a "Friend" she would be fine. Now this trip has mostly been about LuAnn ordering people around and the looming feud with Ramona and Jill. I had forgotten how the third episode LuAnn and Kelly went IN on Alex's ass. They dug so deep up her ass I thought her teeth were gonna pop out. Kelly's crazy ass somehow was able to convince Alex she is crazy and then I have NEVER EVER EVER seen LuAnn as nasty as she was against Alex. She was on another level. This is the #1 reason LuAnn didn't work in season 5. I can't go from her main story being Jill's bulldog/feuding with Alex to trying to create a silly feud with Ramona and missing her two strongest scene partners (Alex & Jill). They needed to keep Alex to keep that drama going.
All this is making me miss Kelly. She was truly nuts. Where did they find her? Did they know she was crazy? I love her crazy ass.

I think Carole could be more interesting with a better mix of housewives. The chemistry is all wrong, which is also why LuAnn sucked so much in season 5. I thought Carole was the best thing about season 5 and also was interesting in the first part of season 6 when going at it with Aviva. Sonja is the tired one I think stopped being interesting in season 4. She needs to go, but I feel they view her as attached to Ramona's character, so they'll never let her go.

RHONY News: http://pagesix.com/2014/09/04/helena-christensen-turns-down-role-on-real-housewives/
Helena Christensen has turned them down, Aviva has been fired and Kristen, Heather, Carole and Sonja have been invited back. It didn't mention LuAnn or Ramona either way, but if this is all true then I feel it's kind of a mistake. After two tepid seasons that can't match seasons 1-4 in the slightest, they need a major shakeup. Adding one or two housewives won't cut it. I would've cut Aviva and Kristen, demoted Sonja and add LuAnn, Jill and Alex if possible. The only new housewife I would pursue is Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wives and I Dream of Nene. You'd have a dream cast right there.

To be fair, even with ATL we've heard hardly anything. With Beverly Hills we've heard NOTHING but vague rumors of Lisa Rinna being involved in the drama, yet she said she gets along with everybody. Then with Eileen, Yolanda, Kim and Brandi we've heard NOTHING. To contrast, we heard endless juicy things about RHONJ and it's been a mostly quiet season with bits of drama here and there. I'm going to wait for a trailer before proclaiming Beverly Hills to have a boring season.

I don't know the full story, but I believe Victor was truly and deeply in love with Lorie, but she was just using him to help Stuart get his company back. I have the 84 episodes on DVD and when she returns Nikki is very insecure because she knows how much Victor loved Lorie, but she makes it clear she isn't interested in him.
Here's a clip I uploaded to YouTube:

I think it was pretty fabulous the way they brought the Brooks sisters back for that wedding. It was a nice call back to the old days and it made it an event, both on the show and in real life. On the show you have this hugely succesful family represented, along with all their history on the show. Then in real life you have some of the shows most popular characters returning so it's a win-win for everybody. And their return felt meaningful even though they weren't the focus. I wish soaps did this more often. You don't have to twist history and come up with some insane story to bring people back. Also, not everybody needs a story to be brought back. Simply popping in and out of town when needed adds depth to the scenes and can help flesh out the characters are ARE on screen.

I was looking for clips of Jill and John's 90s marriage, but I found these wonderful clips for Deborah Adair's Jill marrying John instead. I'd love to one day see Bond Gideon as Jill as well. Do we even have any pictures of her?
