That Access Hollywood clip did a better job of explaining why B&B is using mannequins and blow up dolls. If Brad Bell had focused on how they would be used as stand ins so the actors would have something to react to and aid their direction while their scene partner is giving her lines off set so she can social distance ... instead of focusing on how they would he used for romantic scenes, they wouldn't have become the butt of every joke in Hollywood. I guess it got them a lot of press though.

Lots of vintage hair in this ep: Victoria, Drucilla. Even Ryan’s do seemed to have a bit of ‘50s grease to it.
Yep. And I noticed Ryan's hair, too.

The hair department must have been feeling a little brash and sassy when they taped today's episode.

As for Scott Holmes, crc.....is he bland....or just bad? *shrug*
LOL! I always wondered how he was cast in the first place and lasted through so many regimes. He was just so ... whiney.
Brody Hutzler on both GL and Y&R. Though, I guess he was never a leading man on either show, but someone at CBS liked him.

No mention of Scott Holmes' Tom Hughes on ATWT?

I think so, and GOD, that girl is a terrible actress. She comes across as THE dumbest doctor in the history of television.
Ha! You're right. I just realized though that my comment didn't read the way I meant. There was an episode(s) this week where it seemed like Flo was referring to Penny by name in every single sentence while talking to her.

The show might as well just go for intentional camp at this point. I'll give them some tume to figure out what works and what doesn't, but that reunion was so over the top and the editing was dizzying and distracting. At least WE know what they're dealing with, but I imagine unaware grandma looking confused and wondering what has become of her "stories." Ha!
And are the writers getting paid by how many times they can they can add "Penny" in the script?
I'm guessing the scene with Ridge and Zoe was done by split screen/twin edit? I thought that worked well, but would probably take too much time to do too often.

That's actually how the show chose to show Ridge and Shauna enjoying Vegas when it originally aired. I was cringing at the cheesiness of it all, but it kind of works for a recap, if only it was done purposely for recapping purposes.

But it's the fact that he's lumping love scenes in with "family interactions" on B&B. He knows himself so well.
Brad Bell: What? They're not the same thing.
LOL!

Bwahahah!!! Thanks!
And I love the ATWT clip.

Can someone explain the Hillary B. Smith reference? ☺

This part CANNOT be read without a roll of the neck with a finger snap.

If I remember correctly, the show shifted to Flo/Wyatt/Sally for its final 3 weeks pre-Corona. Liam/Hope/Thomas were hardly if all on... I assume that all would have returned within another weekly set of episodes
Thanks! It seems like there was a longer period of time between the wedding and when the show started airing reruns , but I think everything going on in these last 4 months have messed up my sense of time. LOL!

What happened to Thomas after the wedding? Did the actor take some time off to do a side project? Was Thomas written off the show? It's just so weird to have the show centered around one character for a year or so and then he just disappears with hardly any mention of him.

I liked her a lot too, but there was something that rang false to me, even as she summoned real tears and modulated well from anger to disgust to resignation. Maybe it was just even her voice that bugged me. I remember loving those scenes when they aired and feeling quite underwhelmed now. The bug-eyed, doubled-over reaction to hearing Deacon declare his love to Brooke over the baby monitor felt... strained.
Maybe it was the skipped episodes and not getting to see the complete fallout and Bridget's reaction to the news.
I think you hit something when mentioning her voice. I loved Jennifer Finnigan. I even watched that CBS summer show Salvation because of her. But I think Finnigan has this presence about her that can make it a bit difficult to buying into her being doubled-over hurt in those scenes. I think the more angrier stuff at Big Bear yesterday was more suited to her.

@dio Like the Thomas in a vat hoax, B&B did 2 key things at outset to undo the imminent death: 1) the bizarre doctor switch, which was announced during their consult; and 2) the intentional avoidance of any disease.
Yep.
And unrequited is an interesting word choice regarding Vinny. Hmmm ... I hope that the show isn't going to reveal that Vinny has a thing for Thomas only for him to be driven to madness or Thomas does an Emma on him. Given this show's history of gay storylines, or lack thereof, I wouldn't be surprised.

Is this the guy from Bounce TV's "Saints and Sinners"? Raise your hand if you have a clue what I'm talking about, either the network or the show. LOL!

LMAO I noticed the same thing! Not to mention the show brought back Emma for a week after months of being unseen just to kill her off, so it also means someone off canvas a la Caroline.I'm placing my bets on Dr. Buckingham. A "beloved character" doesn't have to be beloved by the audience I suppose, but could be beloved by a completely useless character like Zoe.
It could even be Spencer Publications' Emmy (The Talk's Sheryl Underwood). We'll see Emmy
comicallyhorrifically die from a tragic accident outside Bill's office windows when a huge gust of wind causes her to fall and slide off a collapsed scaffold as Emmy stalks Bill while pretending to be a window washer. She'll manage to cling on to the scaffold's edge for a few seconds more as she declares her eternal love to Bill one last time. And in dramatic, slow-mo, we'll see a horrified Bill turn around, run to the window, and scream "NO!" as Emmy falls to her death.0 -

B&B:
A beloved character will meet their death in a horrific manner!
This is the exact same spoiler they had for the fall/November which turned out to be Hope and Brooke thinking Thomas had died in a vat of acid for all of a day. So this can mean literally anything or nothing.

For one hot minute the show seemed like it was getting good again and becoming more balanced, but then came the vat of acid. If this show wasn't half an hour (or about 15 minutes after FF'ing thru commercials) I'd be free of soaps.

This of course also means that the Avants are gone for good - even though they were in the previews for October - and never appeared... Maya should have gotten a proper exit!!!
How can they even do that, include them in the fall previews but then nada? Was something written or filmed and ended up cut? They'll probably pop up for Thanksgiving dinner.

A vat of acid? On B&B? Boy, that's REALLY out there, even for them!
Well, how else are they going to clean the FC washing machines. Bwahaha!! The set up for the hydrochloric acid being there was so forced and convoluted.
I just checked the Comcast episode descriptions for next week's episodes and it seems everyone will be oblivious to what happened to Thomas for the entire week.

I'm surprised she was on contract.

I havent watched in ages but isnt she like 60 something now. Really?
LOL! I'm trying to figure out who she's going to be slutting it up with. Certainly not Bill again, just as Katie is recovering from her 100th obligatory Emmy-bait organ transplant. She hasn't had any scenes recently that I can think of that would hint who she would be hooking up with, unless it will be a random stranger she meets at the bar. Eric? Liam? Charlie? LOL!
