Iris and Paulina exchange barbs

Paulina is walking out of the coffee shop, and Iris is walking toward it, and they run into each other on the way.

Iris: Hi sis!

Paulina: Iris I’m glad I ran into you.

Iris: Are you now?

Paulina: My son told you talked to him a while ago.

Iris: I see that you poisoned his mind against me.

Paulina: I told him the truth about you.

Iris: Your truth…but does he know about you?

Paulina: You stay away from my son you conniving bitch!

Vicky meets a new boss

A few yards away, Vicky is distraught after having seen Jake and Frankie in an embrace. She’s walking but not really concentrating, when a man bumps into her from the side.

Vicky: Oh I’m sorry.

Man: Wait a minute. Have I seen you somewhere before?

Vicky: I don’t believe so.

Man: Are you alright?

Vicky: Well...actually I’m not.

GRANT’S HOUSE

Grant opens the door and John walks in.

John: Need to talk to you.

Vicky and the Man sit at a table in Bay City Center

Man: Look I don’t wanna get in your business but…

Vicky: My whole family is coming apart, and I can’t seem to stop it.

Man: Wow I…I don’t know what to say.

Vicky: I’m sorry…I’m spilling this on you.

Man (looking at Vicky as if to recognize her): You’re Michele McKinnon’s mother right? Victoria McKinnon.

Vicky: How did you know?

Man: Sorry…I should introduce myself. I’m Jack Snyder. I am the new Chief of Detectives at the B.C.P.D.

Vicky: So you know about my daughter’s death?

Jack: I’m sorry about your loss. I know it was an accident.

Vicky: And my family has fallen apart since she died.

Grant: What business could we possibly have John?

John: I’m sure you heard of Dr. Taylor’s murder.

Grant: Yes I did…and I didn’t do it.

John: I don’t know what your agenda is, nor do I care, but in a way, I’m glad he’s dead.

Grant: What are you saying? You wanted him to die?

John: Of course not, but Sharlene’s memories can’t be recovered if she’s not seeing him.

Grant: Well that’s a good thing isn’t it?

John: If Sharlene remembers, I’m afraid of what’s gonna happen to her.

Grant: You think she’s gonna turn back to Sharly?

John: I can’t be sure, and I don’t wanna take that chance.

Grant: The noble husband. You’re protecting her, but what if she finds that you didn’t want her to remember? She might go over the edge anyway.

John: I’m gonna get back home to my wife, and have a romantic dinner.

Grant: How sweet. I hope to do the same with Paulina soon.

John: Paulina? Wait a second, you and she are dating?

Grant: You could say that. I wonder what she’s doing now.

Iris: I bet you haven’t told him.

Paulina (walking toward the fountain, with Iris following): Told him what?

Iris: That when you came to town you were nothing but a golddigging tramp after daddy’s money.

Paulina: Shut up.

Iris: I’m getting warm huh?

Paulina: You were the one who was always after Cory Publishing. You even tried to take it over from dear old dad.

Iris: You didn’t tell Dante that you shot Jake either did you? Yeah you told your version of events to him.

Paulina: What I advise my son is none of your concern!

Iris: He’s family!

Paulina: And you had family shot at a wedding, and then you ran around acting like you were getting help, when you were the one behind it!

Iris: You talk about Dante, but what about Remy? Do you know who her father is? Have you tried to look for him?

Paulina: You leave my children out of this!

Iris: You laid up with a man, gave Remy up for adoption, and you STILL don’t know who the daddy is. That’s what TRASHY people do!

Paulina slaps Iris, the two tussle and fall into the fountain, and they both get wet, and Jack comes along and manages to separate them.

Jack: Alright ladies, break it up!

As Jack separates them, he and Paulina make eye contact.

Paulina: Jack Snyder?
