Larry Haines, who died this week at 89 was a one in a million star: 35 years on Search for Tomorrow as Stu Bergman, Jo and everyone's friend. Stu was so human and lovable, played by an amazing actor.

In 1986, I got to act in two episodes of SFT with Haines as a bitchy nightclub critic named Connie Bronson, (typecasting) who drove Stu's girlfriend out of town. I can't act! But read my recollections of what it was like to observe a terrific actor at work, if even for one day.
