  1. I'm hoping Elodie returns so I can have more Elektra and I'm ok to wait for her spin-off.

The Defenders looks like something I'm really going to get into.

Did you see the Luke Cage trailer? I laughed at it -- hopefully the show is better.

  2. Cat! Your damn sig makes me laugh every single time I see it!

Aww Thanks -- I never read her but I was looking at it like O_O and then I looked at the photo and saw that it was Leon in "Like A Prayer." I think they'd be so hot on the show. I liked all the times he would pop up on ATL in her segments.

  3. Ya'll see Cynthia finally decided to end her marriage to Papa Smurf? I wonder what he'll do to get a peach now.

    http://www.realitytea.com/2016/07/05/cynthia-bailey-dont-want-married-peter-anymore-confirms-theyre-divorcing/

That damn vid of him all up in some girls face had me in tears. I felt bad for Cynthia but the recorder's facial expression was just too funny. I think she truly loved him but he was just using her... now if only she can reunite with Leon or at least someone better than Peter.

  4. I don't disagree Cheap but I'm going to try and tough it out. If there's an episode like the pilot I'll let you know.and I'm sure you won't have to binge whatever happened inbetween.

Yeah -- there's no umpf with this show right now and I don't know if that's because they're laying groundwork or not but my curiosity is still piqued.

  5. On Demand finally added the fifth episode. I'm sorry but is this not one of the fastest television pregnancies that you've ever seen? I mean, in ep. one they talked bad to Charity saying that she had no reason to open her mouth and give her opinion because she didn't have kids. Then she and Kevin are trying for one and by ep. three (or was it two?) they're trying for a baby and in ep. four (I think...?) she's taking the test and it's turning out positive. I'm kinda curious how much time passes in between each episode.

Dammmmmmn Kerissa! Can Charity & Kevin get their news out before you go in at the dinner table? LMAO at her throwing the phone and saying, "Anyone can read it." and their daughter reaching for the phone. Now she know!

I really love Grace & Sophia's relationship. They have a nicely played out mother/daughter relationship.

Oh Jacob... you do so much to stray from that church and its teachings and are the least holy man that anyone needs to be taking advice from and then you continue to act like a child with your parents. "Does mama know?" and even if she didn't in light of recent revelations I'm sure she'd agree with her husband. I was laughing at him grasping at straws and asking... "What about.." like sir, do you care?

  6. I don't see that at all with Jacob. He's like a small child both with his parents and in his marriage. He has no direction and seems so far removed from the church that I still question why he's there... even though the answer will easily be his parents. Lady Mae can cut Karissa down with one look, ain't no way she feel even the tiniest bit threatened by her or her place in her family.

  7. If ya'll have on demand ep. 4 is up. I just saw a friend say she binge watched all four eps. on Facebook and I'm thinking to myself... "Wasn't there just three?" Sure enough there are four to view on On Demand.

  8. I could not stop laughing when Lady Mae was talking ish while Bishop was talking to that guy about their plane. The glue factory comment had me in tears because I'm like... it isn't a horse.

  9. I definitely like what you wrote in the first half. You're right, judging by the first episode she definitely can and will go toe to toe with her mother unlike anyone else in the family.

  10. LOL, see for me I had NO sympathy for her with Lady Mae because you could tell she was over the subject and trying to move on but like a dog with a bone she kept trying to push the conversation back to her own personal agenda of Grace and the church.

I don't know -- maybe it's because I don't pay a lot of attention to the kids and kinda zone out that I wind up hating their scenes when I am engaged.

  11. them little kids are getting way too much airtime. I am not here for them. I wonder if one of those little girls will get molested by Mac as thats the only reason why I can see them getting so much focus

Charity, Grace, Faith....why do these women look like they were inspired by Passons?

So is that girl that look like Kelly from ILYIW's husband gay? i got that vibe between he and the white dude

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU! They seriously add nothing to the show for me and I'm seeing them too much. The only decent scene I liked was when the other girl told Sophia that she wished she had a sister. The school scene was a bit much, like why laugh just because she doesn't know what TT means and then them being hyped over the word crunk? Maybe I'm just too old. I just don't get the meaning or anything like that in relation to when they're on the screen. I only like Sophia with Grace.

    LMAO! I never realized that.

That's what everyone is saying in here, but I get that vibe more from the white dude but I also don't care about Charity & Kevin at this time.

  12. I would say Faith was her favorite. I mean we never saw her but also that could just be a mother grieving and realizing that she'll never see her child or why did she have to bury her child and not the other way around.

My only thing with Jacob that I laugh continuously about when they show it in the upcoming season previews is when he says to the Bishop, "You're going to make her pastor." or something like that. I mean you don't want it, don't want anything to do with the church half the time and then in that moment when you find out his plans you look like someone stole your dog. I simply can't with him.

  13. I am loving Lady Mae, Grace, Kerissa, and James. I am ready to see the sibling interaction between Mae, Mavis, and Mac and to see who is closer to Grace: Charity (don't seem like her) or Jacob.

Why did I think that Mavis and Mac were married and just Mae and Mavis were siblings. I clearly didn't pay attention that well.

Yeah, after that table outburst I'd love to see that too with the kids. I mean Jacob clearly doesn't care one way or another. He seems to like his sister judging by their small interactions but at the end of the day, they're just that... small.

Kerissa and Jacob seem like mother and child or anything else under the sun but husband and wife. Even the way he said "Yes ma'am." to her was just...  I just don't get why she is pushing this ministry so much. I wonder if the Deacon's don't respect him because he seems so aloof from the church. He's more interested in getting in that woman's panties. I'm hoping for a side piece pregnancy!

Noah, I can't take him serious and I think that's due to his past stint on Noah's Arc and plus there is zero chemistry between the actor and Merle.

I liked the scene between Grace & Danielle a lot. It was sad and I hope Danielle does come forward and tell the truth, maybe if there were more girls she'd be willing. I can't imagine he gave them hush money because of that shack that they live in.... unless they spent it on nicer things on the inside or is saving up for college or something.

  14. I wonder why they wrote series finale then... but I guess it could just mean the Season 1 series... eh. I actually agree that Greenleaf could hurt them but to be honest I can only watch Bounce online and it isn't that big of a market like OWN so it may be ok.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS B! So happy you touched on that! I was cracking up at that scene with Lady Mae & Kerissa. I'm like she was on your side ONE time ma'am and that was mainly probably to make her daughter feel even more uncomfortable but I didn't think that she liked her. I loved how Kerissa could NOT take the hint and JUST. STOP. PUSHING the subject of Grace and the church. I mean, your husband is sooooooooooo disinterested in basically everything... he rather got ass with his side-piece than sit in the pulpit while his father preached. My only thought is that she wants to eventually be First Lady THAT bad and doesn't care how she gets to the top.

I felt bad watching that video of the girl. Mac is just so ew and I love that actor but this role is making me hate him a little.

  15. Oh yeah! I forgot about Bounce. They have a church drama that I was watching too. Saints & Sinners with the hella hot Christian Keyes, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Keith Robinson, Clifton Powell & J.D. Williams. Huh, I could have sworn that they renewed it but it looked like 1x08 was their series finale. It definitely pales in comparison to Greenleaf but I did like what I was seeing.

  16. Nicely put Vee and xtr! Glad you both enjoyed the show and can add some wonderful insight to our discussion.

Vee if you want to check out some of Merle's work, I first saw her pop up on Son's of Anarchy as the new Sheriff's wife, but her scenes weren't crazy long and she mainly shared them with Katey Sagal's Gemma. But she did pop up like four to five times and then after that she was on CWs Star-Crossed as basically a rogue warrior named Vega. It wasn't the best show but I liked her scenes.... her one shot guest spots I don't really recall that well.

  17. LOL! His show has Heather Locklear too.

So... I guess Ava couldn't direct all of the episodes as it was initially planned but like a BOSS, she's hand-picked some pretty awesome women to direct the other episodes. I guess this is the breakdown of how it will go.
