I want to say maybe Erik Estrada( when he did that Telemundo soap).He has been a Diva since his Chips days. Larry Wilcox was pretty much forced off the show by the last season. Estrada also got rid of several other cast member he felt were a threat to his popularity.

Beverlee McKinsey was such a powerhouse I never really got used to Carmen Duncan as Iris and thought of her as a different person. If they had recast Iris sooner though we might never have had Donna Love, which would have been sad. 

I got accustomed to Carmen Duncan in one way only --- and that was as "The Chief". She got a solid handle on that aspect of Iris.

And, when did they bring Mitch Longley on? I saw him give a demonstration of how he used his lower torso to make it seem could could walk --- and it was brilliant. He constantly picked up his legs & repositioned them to give the illusion of being able to move them. It worked, too!

I believe she started training for EMT around 2007 and from what I remember in one of her interviews, before quitting GL, she claimed she had no glamorous ideas about acting anymore.  She literally just wanted to pay her mortgage. In my opinion the child actor turned soap actor had left the building. She doesn't seem to act like she wants any acting gigs or attention, otherwise the least she could do is get on social media for goodness sake.

I hear ya & love what you're saying about Ehlers. I think Pratt treated all the females in his cast poorly at about that time.

It seemed like Beth Ehlers was one of many who disliked Pratt. Ehlers had for the most part gotten along with everyone on every soap. Then, kerblooey, she had an experience with Pratt just like Tamara had & like "AMC" girl had had.

No, apparently she took Rape Training and then EMT training and is now functioning as an EMT. Her 2 boys are adults now. I believe they now live together in Manhattan. She did act in one show, 2010 Ehlers was announced to be in the cast of The SFN's television series River Ridge I think it was streaming.

Some of us have spoken of this as a parralelism & some of us were disappointed that Aggie didn't bring these pairs of "dames" up in her memoir. I thought Aggie would mention them. So did some others. Ada & Rachel; Mona & Erica; Carla & Sadie; Ava & Kate; who am I leaving out? There's another pair. Aggie had them down pat!

No. She was very acclimated to RS and Mary and pretty much the whole cast. Robin was a good Rachel. When VW first came over Connie wasn't too keen on her. After just a little time, though, Connie & Vicky formed a close bond. Robin is in this clip. Unfortunately the visual acuity is not as great as it could be. It's 1968, July.

Anna Kendrick is a child star but she didn't come up through the ranks of soaps. She has as many credits as Brit does. And, they share the Pitch Perfect movies. She started on Broadway. Ex-Marah, Laura Bell Bundy is regularly on Broadway.

Erik von Detter is basically a house husband, complete with wife & children.

I thought Jennifer Ferrin was very talented on WT - Also Todd Rotundi. Ferrin was good in a half hour comdey, too

I think this is a stupid idea, too.There are ample contenders in the Younger actor/Actress category.  And, some year, if there's not, well, just don't give the award that year!

Ricky Paull Goldin and Beth Ehlers are strong contenders, as is Lisa Peluso.
