At least he admits his mistake. I voted for Nader. It took me years to be able to admit to myself what a mistake that was and years more before I could admit it out loud to other people. Khan has made that journey in a fraction of the time and has become one the most politically thoughtful people I know. If you want to go after somebody, go after the people still defending staying home or spite voting.

When impeachment fails they'll go right back to blaming Pelosi. Then we'll lose the House and the Repubs will be in charge of redrawing districts again, then we're done.

I honestly don't think any of that is going to matter. Biden, for all of his flaws, represents stability and sanity after three years of chaos and criminality. This time six months ago I thought Biden was a non-starter too but the focus groups and polling changed my mind. And as much as some hate the idea of Warren or Harris as VP, the fact is that Biden is old enough where he could easily die in office or just choose to be a one-term president so his running mate will be vitally important. So instead of framing it as playing second fiddle I think of it as positioning for the future.

Not all farmers. As an Ohioan, I'm really glad to see this guy speaking up and admitting his mistake. Plus it's just an interesting interview.

Given that the governor of Georgia welcomed the suppression, we never will hear that unless the FBI makes the announcement on its own.

I've been wondering about how this business has been doing since all the drama. They're thriving. "When we opened after a 10-day hiatus, our dining room was full. In the following weeks, people who had never been to the Shenandoah Valley traveled out of their way to eat with us. Hundreds of orders for our Red Hen spice blend poured in. And the love spread far beyond our door, as supporters sent thousands of dollars’ in donations in our honor to our local food pantry, our domestic violence shelter and first responders."

Interesting. There's quite a few people on this list that I'm not considering, mainly because they have no business running. I understand (and share) the dislike of Bernie and Tulsi but what is it about deBlasio that bothers people so much? I thought that was just an NYC thing but apparently it goes deeper than that.

It already has. Trump's side is already using violence and terrorism. You can't vote facism away. Every time facism has been defeated it's been by force. Mind you, I don't say this lightly but the Republicans have joined with a hostile foreign power to attack our country. Too many on the left still can't bring themselves to admit that a lot of their friends and family voted for this because they had this hatred inside them. They can't bear thinking of their loved ones as traitors. That's why they keep trying to blame "economic anxiety" or claim Hillary was the worst candidate. I don't think that's going to work. I might be projecting but I think the Dem base, not Woke Twitter but the actual base, is about to slap back hard against the Social Justice Left. A lot of the reason we're here is because Lefty Purists didn't give a [!@#$%^&*] in 2016 and they keep screwing us. Whether its losing Al Franken or people demanding Ralph Northam step down over 30 year old blackface photos and now people trying to take Biden out because of Anita Hill, the price of purity is getting too damn high and I think that's going to play out in 2020 by Biden getting the nomination.

Warren is actually my first choice right now but this points to a concern I have with her. She has a tendency to be reactive to this kind of thing. I canceled her because of her comments about Obama's speaking fees and her agreement that the 2016 primary was "rigged" and the whole mess with her DNA test. She tends to jump the gun.

This is a tough time but one thing that gives me hope is that the corrupt machine that helped bring us Trump is slowly being dismantled. Manafort is in prison, Cohen is going to prison, the NRA is having real financial problems, Julian Assange is in custody (my personal favorite) and will very likely never breathe free air again, the National Enquirer has been sold, etc... It's easy to feel like there has been no justice but there has been and there will be more. What it will cost us to get there is the real question.

Because he defended the electoral college. Also a lot of his support seems to come from the Reddit/libertarian crowd and that's a red flag for me.

It doesn't disqualify her for me at all. It just disappoints me. There's only a handful of people who are disqualified for me (Gabbard, Sanders, Yang, Williamson) One of the things I'm trying to do to keep me sane in 2020 is hold all of the candidates to the same standard and one of my standards is "constituents first."

I think the world of Harris but I didn't want her to run. I wish she'd made the same decision as Sherrod Brown. I'm a firm believer in putting your constituents first and she didn't even serve two years before deciding to run. The people who voted her into office deserved at least one term of a full-time senator. Whenever I raise that point people say "But Obama...." I love Obama like family but he's part of the reason I have this rule.

I see some journalists worried that Trump will use Assange to go after the free press and all I can think is that if the free press had done its job in 2016 they wouldn't be looking at this kind of threat.

I'll be honest, it's taken me a while and a number of conversations with my Jewish friends to make me realize just how painful her comments were. I'm sorry.
