So basically what I'm seeing on Twitter is that Bernie won but also lost, Biden lost but this was also good for him and Buttigieg worked with Hillary Clinton to develop the app. You know, completely sane stuff. (Honestly all I can really determine is that the Berners are pissed off which always makes me happy.)

Rush Limbaugh will exit this word the way he inhabited it: trafficking in lies, hate, and opioids.

Take a look at how he's polling in the delegate-rich southern states. In many cases, he's polling below threshold.

The irony is that Joe Rogan fans aren't Dem primary voters. The Rogan endorsement gets Bernie nothing in the primary. In fact it drives away voters he needs.

Oh hon, I disagree completely. I honestly think that the Biden's testifying would be terrible for Republicans. Joe Biden is very well liked among every constituency Dems need to win in 2020: black people, suburban women, moderates, newborn independents driven from the GOP, blue collar voters, and midwestern voters. Video of Biden being attacked and his last surviving child being attacked doesn't win them any votes. And few of those people would move from Biden to Sanders. Warren and Pete perhaps but not Sanders. Sanders hit his ceiling in 2016 and right now he is HATED by a portion of the Dem base.

A bunch of Berners decided to push their way into a Biden campaign office in Iowa and harass his volunteers. These folks have gone completely off the rails. This is not the behavior of people who think their campaign is winning. It's the behavior of nihilists who think they have nothing left to lose. I'm just waiting for the inevitable moment when they try this stunt somewhere else and get their asses beat.

The lefties who sat home or spite voted have no idea how they screwed themselves by letting McConnell stack the judiciary. I had some Berner tell me today on Twitter that I was just a fossil who will be dead in 20 years and I thought, "Your stupid ass will be living with this for the next 50 then your kids will too."

My favorite line in that episode: Penny's biomom: "I'm here ain't I?!" Willona: "So's the garbage."

Don't do that. Even if national politics are a hot mess, look at your state and local races. Those are the elections that directly affect your wellbeing.

Same. But it's a perfect example of how Republicans see Bernie as a weapon they can use against Democrats.

The internal polls must be horrible. Just last week I got my first text from Bernie's campaign as did a number of my friends who are way less politically active and others who really don't like him. That tells me they are buying bigger and bigger lists of data with less vetting.

Bernie's not going to be the nominee. Everything about Bernie's "revolution" is pure gaslighting. The numbers aren't there and the fact that he and his surrogates have been lashing out isn't the behavior of a campaign that feels poised for victory.

Of course he's tired. So am I. Joe Biden is running because he has to. There's simply nobody else who can do this. He's our best bet. I think that when all is said and done Joe Biden will have spent the last days, weeks, months, years of his life using his old white male privilege to save our republic.

Klobuchar has been working her ass off. I expect her to do better in IA and NH than the conventional wisdom would allow.

I didn't watch the debate so I was surprised to see so much chatter about Klobuchar. My long shot prediction for a while has been that she will exceed expectations in Iowa. Of course given that nobody expects her to do well that might not exactly be a brave stance on my part.

Having both Biden and Pelosi show righteous anger is defintely a good thing and hopefully it's a sign of more to come. People are fond of saying that the Dems are "weak" or that they play too nice. These displays help challenge that. Plus for those who are just tired of the gaslighting and insults from Trumpists this just feels SO good to see. "You're a damn liar." How many times have you wanted to see someone say that to Trumpers?

The election IS about Trump. Not just Trump the person but Trumpism as a political ideology. Trumpism is about corruption, destroying our standing in the world, human rights abuses, etc... That's what we're up against. Even if you don't want the election to be about Trump. When a president is running for a second term the election is always a referendum on them. This ad is brilliant because it takes one of Trump's key talking points - "The world is laughing at us" - and turns it on its ear. As for what motivates people, can we just acknowledge that different people are motivated by different things. Biden motivates me greatly because he's the only candidate in the race who seems to understand what matters to me.

The KHive's behavior is a big part of the reason people are gloating over her dropping out. It's the same thing we saw with Sanders in 2016 and will see with Warren when black voters send her packing. I made up my mind in this primary months ago but I've made a point not to get into lengthy debates about Biden because at the end of the day all I can do is show up and vote. 2016 was the last time I will ever "fall in love" with a candidate.

Yep. And Buttigieg has Zuckerberg and Sanders has Putin and the Branch Bernidians. This is why I have no tolerance for people who leave PAC money on the table. I want candidates who will use every weapon at their disposal.

As I've said before, this just wasn't Harris' moment. I see a lot of grieving and gloating but at the end of the day there can only be one nominee. People need to realize that. These 2020 cults are unhealthy and self-defeating. There's another cautionary tale where Harris's campaign is concerned: Twitter isn't real life.
