  1. She's almost 40 years old and hasn't been on the show since 2009. Of course she's aged.

Weirdly, she was booking a lot of acting work throughout the 2000s, but that seems to have come to a somewhat abrupt stop around 2017. I wonder if she'd be open to more of a long-term return to Days given those circumstances.

I also wonder if they'll play her as pregnant, since they mentioned during Bo's return that Chelsea is expecting.

Idk, it seems really silly that one or both of those ladies would be that petty and still carry a grudge.  Regardless of that, I do think there was a way for the show to air flashbacks of Maggie with Marlena, Alice/Tom, other Hortons, her children etc.  The show could have said Marlena and John were downstairs without showing them or having them interact with Maggie.

I definitely wish we'd gotten more flashbacks of Maggie with Alice. Maggie was even the first person to learn of Alice's death, and she came downstairs and told... I think Jennifer.

Thanks, but I was referencing that it was remarkable that Marlena was missing from Maggie's 50th anniversary episode (obviously, there's a lot of rumored behind the scenes BS, but it was especially noticeable on Friday).

Ohhhhh, gotcha. I'm still dying for any confirmation on that. It's SO obvious.

  4. That's how I feel about Heather, too -- which is actually not too far from how I felt about Carole later in her RHONY run. She's high on her own supply and has lost sight of why people liked her in the first place. The whole black eye thing was horrible Housewifery and annoying as hell, and the way she handles confrontation is bizarre (though kind of fascinating from a psychological perspective).

  5. I think they just saw a plane crash as a more "powerful" ending for Victor, the same way they didn't have Stefano just pass away in his sleep. (Yes, they completely fumbled the ball with Joe Mascolo's final appearance, and the Hope/Rafe/Andre part of his final "death" was a mess, but having one of our heroes shoot him to death was a decent idea.) I don't for a second think they are even considering recasting.

  6. This is such a cycle with Corday, too. I mean, not to this degree (that we know of) -- but every Plan to Save Days is like, "I hired someone, put the show in their hands, and one day I came in from the golf course and turned on the show and it was unrecognizable! Who knew that checking in once every six months could have that result?!"

You're right. I didn't mean it to come off that way when I asked, but we do have to remember that both the males and females whose stories were shared in the Deadline article are victims.

I think it's pretty natural to want to make sense of stuff like this, especially when we see these people on our screens every day. And there's a relatively respectful way to speculate without being crass ourselves, tagging actors in tweets, etc. So I hear you!

I don't think it was smart to revisit the books on the mothership. I preface this by saying I have never thought much of Ron Carvilati's work. He seems to have good intentions, but that's the way you pave the road to hell. It would have been smarter to just pretend that the books were actual books that Lucy and Kevin had collaborated on after the success of "General Homicide."

I guess they felt they needed to address it in *some* way in order to bring those characters back to the show, but yeah, your explanation probably makes a lot more sense. Do we even know for certain if the Kevin who's on GH now actually has a daughter named Livvie, or was that all erased (or "erased" by the magic ring) during Ron's revisit of the PC stories?

But then she flip flopped again (I can't remember why) and was screaming at John when he had his aneurism.   It the same with her rivalry with Belle which never existed until it suddenly did with Ron lol.  I think John and Sami are in an okay place, but she was naming her child after him several years ago and I don't think they are back to that place.

I completely forgot about that aneurysm thing (which never got resolved, right?)! Good grief.

Were Johnny and Allie born when John was briefly "dead" in 2007? That might've tainted Sami's judgment when she named the kid, LOL.

I find personally Sami wavers back and forth depending on the writer at the time.  I honestly thought John/Sami were fine years ago, but then something will happen she will hate him again.  IMO, under Ron Sami tends to be more at odds with John than not.

They've gone back and forth sooooo many times. In 2002-03, Sami had gotten to a good place with John, and then JER returned and she randomly hated him again. The way I see it now, it doesn't take much for something to re-ignite her fury at him -- like when she caught him and Paul "digging up Will's grave," but after Marlena got shot at the wedding and almost died and Belle was foaming at the mouth to pull the plug, Sami and John seemed to have gotten to a better place.
