The thing with Tracy not being on means that my summer business isn't interupted by Tracy-time. Today the oldest two went away for a week to Music Camp. The Diva didn't pass her White Sail II, although she came close. She's too timid with the rudder. I'm glad they failed her and she's taking it just fine. Apparently the kids who passed the first time have parents white sail boats so they've had more experience. One of the major pitfalls with homeschooled kids is that they don't know how to deal with failure. I'm so grateful that Ru is working that out now when it doesn't really matter. She's failed music theory at Music Camp the last two years as well, so she's pretty cool about it and just works harder. I hope this year will be the charm - but the two of them are in the same class so it will be interesting. I'm sorry to hear things are going so badly for you, Hooked. But congrats on the 7 pounds - that's a celebration in itself. I know everyone is better occupied elsewhere. I can contribute the following information.... ILTQ is doing well. Nothing radical there. Star's baby is growing and continues to be ahead of the curve. He's had an infection this week that put him back a bit, but he seems to be pulling though. He's big enough and strong enough now to be in an isolate (as opposed to an open warming bed) and I think they can put clothing on him now - or if not now it will be soon. GrovyTQ has been busy with life and has just taken a break from the internet. She sends her love and promises that she will return at some point. Funny has heard from TL. Ms.Q is on summer vacation somewhere I'd imagine. I see our Australian buddies here in the off hours regularly. MF checked in with the news that her 'puter doesn't work... Lainey travelling?

Interesting that LW and DG are mentioned for GH, because they were also part of the list that included TG/JE as presenters. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Well, whether we see Tracy soon or not, she has been getting quite a few shout-outs. I just saw today's clips on YT and she was quite the part of the Ethan/Rebecca conversation. Becks said she wasn't going after the Q money because Tracy held every last cent and wasn't going to let Becks get near it. We also found out from Ethan that she hasn't fired him from the HS - she just reduced his hours to practically nil so he's strapped for cash. Lainey - cute DiLex moment. Molly is reading Pandora (the book authored by CH) and Diane asks Molly what she thinks. Molly said it's good and Diane says "That's what I've heard". And a moment of Catholic humour: Johnny asks about Olivia's family and she says the entire clan is saying Rosary to keep her from hooking up with Sonny again. Johnny replies that if they knew about him they'd be doing the Stations of the Cross daily. Karaoke Night starts tomorrow.

I just found this on the Emmy thread - I thought TG would have submitted last October/November and we would have been subjected to LnL. But nope, he submitted the Pergatory dream where our girl saved his sorry ass.... Part I - Part II - Any word yet on who's presenting?

I remember the Diva watching a cartoon made about Benjamin Francklyn and the War of Independence years ago. Every day she'd look at me confused and say "Okay, who are the good guys?" And I'd have to explain it's all a matter of opinion. If you liked the king you rooted for the guys in red. If you didn't want the king you rooted for the guys wearing other colours. Ah.... she tried to understand. "And we like the king, right?"

I think your translation is right on the money, Hooked. Just because I like the character doesn't mean I'm convinced the actor steps it up enough. He already appears a bit lazy and much like JMB in the earlier years - you know at the top of her game with JE/TG but lazy with others. And I'm sorry but no one has ever said about NL/TC that they make anyone better. NP is in with a good set of mentors and if JE is riding him than she finds him capable and expects him to exceed what he's currently doing. I think every actor should go through Jane/Tony boot camp. Not to sound trite, but Canada has real royalty and that's what this level of coverage would be saved for. Michael Jackson might have been an incredibly brilliant performer, but he certainly didn't change the world outside of music. I'm not surprised by the choice of the Canadian stations at all - and the level of coverage has been a bit much.

FYI for our friends down under... Michael Jackson's funeral is taken over the American airwaves and the Canadian stations are all running repeats of other shows. So no GH today for anyone in the Western Hemisphere - unless SoapNet happens and that's outside of me.

Recaps, Monday July 6th No Tracy Vets: Edward, Alexis Ring Watch: n/a Appearance: n/a Other Stories: ClauSon give J&J another chance to prove themselves after letting Dom get away alive; Spixie at the penthouse, Maxie still wanting everyone to talk Spin out of singing; Dom wants Kristina to help him get into Sonny's house; Jax speaking German (yum); Molly and Kristina bonding - both think Dom is cute; Robin tells Patrick her theory about Andrea as Andrea overhears; J&J suit up again (lots of biceps); Olivia still thinks Sonny is mad at Johnny because of her then blasts Claudia for being a walking representation of everything Sonny has done wrong with his life; Dom meets up with the others he's working with just as J&J leave to take them out; Alexis takes Molly to the movies while Andrea sneaks in to Lex's and goes at her computer; J&J take out the other bad guys just as Dominic puts his hand over Olivia's mouth and pushes her into her apartment. Line of the Day: Sc. 1 - Carly rightfully busts Edward for indulging Michael and forgetting about Jason's accident. She doesn't want him risking her kids. Sc. 2 - Carly asks where they went and is glad this happened sooner rather than later, reminding him that Michael will try to work him all sorts of ways. Michael said they were fine and were on the road maybe 3 minutes. Edward says all's well that ends well and Carly stares him down. Then turns to Michael and freaks him out by asking how the sound system and car work, and did they have fun. Sc. 3 - Sc. 4 - Sc. 5 - Edward checks in with Michael to see that he's enjoying himself. Edward keeps pushing ELQ on Michael who says corporate isn't his thing. Edward says he might not think that now but in the future who knows. Sonny keeps ringing the doorbell and then is rude to Edward when he finally lets him in. Sonny then turns on Edward and says he's there to see his son and would Edward give them privacy. Smoldering Edward leaves them. Sc. 6 - Sc. 7 - Sonny tells Michael they are doing the car by the book. Edward laughs at the hypocrisy of Sonny going by the rules on that one considering how he stole Michael from his real family in the first place. Sonny yells at Edward not to disrespect him and Michael jumps to Sonny's defence. Sonny again orders that Michael isn't driving until he has a license. Carly shows up with a temporary license for Michael, stunning Sonny and thrilling Michael.

Thanks Hooked. The big 40 for me. Kinda exciting actually. Glad to see the numbers as of the end of June. I'd heard they were out. How are we doing anyway? I see the usual suspects at at the head of the class again. Apparently MB has a movie he's started filming, so hopefully Sonny time will be way, way down. I've heard from Star - baby is doing well and still the star of the NICU. They've been able to kiss his head now and hold him, which was a big step. Colin seems a fighter. I have TL's banner up but not heard from TL. Funny, you and she are close, anything?

I love the first week of July. The first is Canada Day and the 4th is my birthday, when you are celebrating. Fun fun with lots of fireworks. Ed stops him and says the East Wing has a fully loaded gym but he will add to it if needed. Michael then asks Ed if he meant what he said... Sc. 2 - No Tracy;Michael wants a personal physical therapist at his disposal. Edward falls for it and tells Michael he will get someone to come to the house, then asks if there is anything else he can do. Michael starts that Sonny bought him a car. Sc. 3 - No Tracy Sc. 4 - No Tracy; Michael finishes the workout and is happy about the physio. Ed also says the car is worked out. Michael looks hurt than sits down in pain so Edward calls Monica. When she finds out she calls Edward a fool and tells him help like the physio will put Michael right back in the hospital. Michael overhears and he's afraid. Sc. 5 - No Tracy; Monica checks on him and says she's just like Carly - but Monica says she's a mother and she understands. Michael is working the Q's about giving him his independence and it's working. (He's smooth and the Q's are very gullible) Sc. 6 - No Tracy; Morgan and Michael visit at the Q's. Edward had the new car brought over. He gives Michael the keys and makes him promise to stay on the property. Michael snows him saying he's had lots of experience. After the boys leave Edward leans against the door second guessing himself and say "Oh, boy...." Sc. 7 - No Tracy; Carly visits the Q's and asks how it's going. Edward says he's a joy, well spoken, intelligent, good manners, everything that he wants in a great-grandson. Edward continues that being with them has done Michael a world of good and it's right that he's returned to his proper family. Carly points out that she's Michael's mother and Edward says he knows that, but he should be with them for as long as they want. Carly says she appreciates that and then asks where the boys are. Edward says they were out on the grounds. Carly assumes it's for a walk but Edward says no, it's in Michael's car. Carly is horrified and wants to know what Edward was thinking - Michael doesn't have his license or any experience. Edward looks scared. Meanwhile Michael tells Morgan they can't go too fast and it's not because he's scared. Then says they are about to pass the tree where Jason had his accident. Morgan asks if Jason was driving and Michael says no, his brother was and Jason was in the passanger seat just like Morgan is. The look on Michael's face is disturbing.

We'll have to see. She wasn't needed in that scene yesterday but we got about 90 seconds of her. Knowledge that Helena has Luke starts end of July so it might pick up around then, and she also has about a month's vacation around August so she's not on anyway. Then it's September and TG is back. She doesn't need story to appear. Yes I would love for her to HAVE story but she is involved with two of the umbrellas. Wonder if we will get any Andrea and Tracy...

Edward walks out calling for Alice to tell him where his glasses are. Michael says they are in his pocket. Edward laughs and thanks him then calls Tracy and Monica, then leads Michael into the living room. Tracy storms in telling Edward he wouldn't have to yell if he would just install an intercom. Monica comes down the stairs wondering what's going on. In the living room Tracy sits on the sofa but Monica is surprised to see Michael and goes to hug him. Tracy says "oh goodie, another bundle on our doorstep". Edward and Monica glare at her and Edward tells her Michael is family now and she'd better treat him accordingly. Tracy says that is what she's doing. Monica continues the glare and tells Tracy to cool it or she's gone. Edward then starts in about all the technical stuff in Michael's room but Monica tells Edward to back off and let Michael get his bearings. They invite Jason to stay for dinner but he can't and leaves.

Recaps, Tuesday June 30th No Tracy... Busy day today. Alexis tried to speak with Kristina, who would have nothing to do with it and slammed Lex for setting the bar high and not meeting it herself. Carly then Jason told Sonny that Michael belongs with the Q's, while i-dot Sonny said "this is just to punish me" (yes Sonny.. the whole UNIVERSE is set to hurt you.. ) Michael mouthed off to Alexis about hurting Kristina, then turned around and told Sonny he was glad he and Carly owned their ish and worked through everything (seriously, it was so hilariously absurd... Michael is going to have a HUGE fall and it just proves to me that the writers do read what is posted on message boards because the fact that Sonny/Carly DON'T own their ish is constantly noted) Spinelli explained to Maxie that he wanted "Courtly Love", but when Maxie found out that meant no sex she nixed that idea pronto. Jax explained Michael's Q past to Olivia then tried to blackmail Claudia into pushing Sonny to let Michael go to the Q's. Claudia turned the tables and said if he told Sonny, she would tell Carly that HE knew - if it was the last thing she did. Olivia and Johnny met up at the pool table at Jakes and went somewhere. Patrick respected Robin's instincts about the murder and then tells Spin he and Robin should talk - they are the two most intelligent people he knows and if they are not sure, then perhaps Flub isn't responsible for Brianna's death. Ethan tries to get Becks to return to Kelly's with him but she says no, so he turns up at Jakes, gets drunk and calls Lucky. Liz arrives instead and Ethan says she should always be suspicious of the ulterior motives of a long-lost relative. Necca have sex in the gazebo.

Yay!!!! Another Ms.Q vid. Keep 'em coming, baby.... they've been missed. Tracy was sitting alone in a chair on Friday I believe, and this one has her on the sofa, so I do believe it's another day. She wasn't part of the Jason/Monica discussion today - and I'm glad because quite honestly that level of emotion would not have been gained with her there. Since it's evening I'm guessing that shot is from tomorrow. It didn't look like anything was cut from Friday, but perhaps they had Tracy returning and sitting before Jason came in. We'll know either way once GH has a new day. The Diva is at sailing camp this week, and Mike has taken a few days off to spend time with the little two while the bigger ones are at camp, so this week I'll be home for recapping since I'm doing morning drop-off. But next week I'm doing the afternoon pick-up so no GH for me... sigh... At some point the story with Ethan and the rest of the Spencers is going to have to pick up as they realize Luke is truly missing. Do we have any Helena information at all?

Jason silences Monica and says Edward is right - if he wants to set an example for Michael he has to move in here too. Sc. 2 - Edward is thrilled and wants Alice to make up his room. Monica stops him and says as much as she wants Jason back, he's shown her over time that he doesn't belong there. Jason says Monica is right, and since Michael awakened Jason's realized he pushed Monica away and he regrets doing that. But he wants the Q's to be a safe place for Michael. Edward says Jason deserves that too. Jason says it's too late for him, but it's not for Michael and he deserves better. Jason would only bring violence to the doorstep of those he cares about and he's not going to do that. Edward and Monica are silently disappointed yet understanding. Sc. 3 - At Kelly's Lulu apologizes for surprising LnL2 with Ethan and hoped she didn't upset the boys - Liz assured her they were too young to understand, Liz apologized to Ethan for putting her dislike of Rebecca on him and warned him to be away that Becks could manipulate him (insert Remos' laugh here) and Lucky couldn't man up to acknowledge to Ethan he has no real problem with him - even though he told Liz just that; Meanwhile at the mansion Jason continues saying he knows things have been bad between them and it's his fault, he now understands Monica better than he ever did. Monica is grateful - and when you love a child parents do anything. He then asks that they be patient with Michael because he's really having a hard time. Monica says they will make it work. Jason hugs Monica and shakes Edward's hand. Edward says it's a shame they will never get Michael because that monster Sonny Corrinthos will never let him go. Sc. 4 - No Q's Sc. 5 - No Q's; Lex confesses to Scrubs that she slept with Flub one night - when she found Sam with Ric and had just found out about her cancer. Sc. 6 - No Q's Sc. 7 - No Q's

Afternoon all.... Wubs gave everyone the heads up that with Prospct going dark for 2 weeks, spoilers are going to be few and far between. Add that to SD being extremely difficult and Hooked being away - all of us are basically spoiler free for awhile. Time will tell if that's good or bad. AND on top of that, starting Monday my kids are in daycamps etc. all over the place, so the recaps are going to be as skant as the spoilers. But in the meantime, and for your reading pleasure, this was on Daytime Confidential... Quartermaine Come Home Do not toy with us General Hospital! For years Quartermaine family fans have begged and pleaded for the return of the Quartermaine heir to the family fold. Today, Carly (Laura Wright) returned to the Quartermaine mansion, in need of–and asking for–help. Later–in one of those rare moments–the Quartermaine's prodigal son, Jason (Steve Burton), stopped by and Edward (John Ingle) asked him to return too. The Quartermaines have been one of my favorite ABC soap families, since the day I started watching soaps. Unfortunately, over the past few years, we watched as Emily, Alan, Justice and AJ were killed off. Ned, Dillon and Brook Lynn were written off. Meanwhile, the Quartermaine and Spencer families merged–thanks to Luke's marriage to Tracy–while Edward and Monica were seen less and less. Over the last few months, the Quartermaines have seemed to make a comeback, even if it is an illusion. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the one good thing about the Ethan and Luke storyline has been how much Tracy has been onscreen. At the same time, Michael (Drew Garrett) coming out of his coma and Rebecca's connection to Emily have provided Edward and Monica with more airtime. As Carly seeks the Quartermaine family's help, is it too much to hope that if Michael returns to the Quartermaine mansion, the family can be saved? Here's hoping.

Edward says to ignore her and Carly says she already has. Carly then says she needs to lay out the ground rules, which really confuses the Q's. She continues and says when she took Michael out of that house it was because she didn't want him being raised a Q and promised he would never set foot in that house again except for visits. Meanwhile at Kelly's Lulu is trying to get to through to Lucky who is as closed as ever to Ethan and doesn't want him anywhere near his sons. Lulu leaves in anger. Sc. 4/5 - Ed and Monica are grateful. Tracy isn't amused and says Michael is only there for the Q money. Edward warns Tracy saying not everything is based in greed. Hmmm.... Tracy thinks, greed is the basis of the family so Michael is part of that. Carly says that's the reason she didn't want Michael raised there.. the constant bickering. Monica tells Tracy if she ruins this for everyone that she is gone. Carly continues saying nothing bad will be said about Sonny/Jason/Carly and she has full access to her son or she will be back to take him home. Sc. 5/6 - Edward is excited Michael will soon be home and wonders where to start. Tracy suggests a party with a cake and decorations and pointed hats. Edward thinks that's a great idea, but Tracy jumps up and wants to know why Alan's children are always fussed over and hers are not. Edward says because hers aren't there - they run off as soon as they can. Tracy smiles slyly and says Michael was raised a Corrinthos, so trying to turn him into a Quartermaine isn't going to work, then storms off. Edward then tells Monica Tracy is insufferable and it's all because Spencer has taken off again. But no matter they have Michael back... Edward goes on about all the things they are going to do and Monica cuts him off saying Carly had a bad day and not to expect Michael will ever be living there. Jason walks in at that point and says that's all up to them. Sc. 6 - no Tracy; Jason wants to speak to Monica alone and Edward doesn't want to leave but Monica orders him away. Monica being level headed asks Jason what's going on. Jason tells her and she says it's history repeating itself. Jason apologizes for his behaviour and realizes he's doing the same thing with Michael. Monica tells him to go easy with Michael and Jas says he hopes Michael can accept her help because he isn't accepting anyone else's. Sc. 7 - no Tracy; Monica says she's going to do what she can to help Michael because she knows as a doctor it will take time to heal, and she promises Jason that she won't say anything bad about SaSon. Jason says he doesn't care, he's only concerned about Michael. Edward busts in and says if he's so concerned why doesn't he set an example - move back with Michael. Monica can't believe Edward said that and Jason looks surprised.

Yes.. Ric is gone. And I think the anger thing might actually be part of the picture. Carly is looking for any option but she certainly didn't think that elderly Edward would be at risk of Michael's freak out. It will be interesting to see how it goes - and how Tracy reacts. If Michael does go after Edward you know Tracy will call the police in a heartbeat. But Michael is hungry for power and I think the power around the Q's will keep him distracted.

Kids and icecream period are insanity. As for the Twitter page for Matt Hunter... think about it. It's Brilliant. Most of the world now is getting their information through Twitter, so how else to engage that generation. It's quirkly and it might make them check out GH to see who this Matt Hunter guy is. Hat's off to whomever thought to create that. I'm not sure if any other character is on Twitter yet - but many of the GH actors are.
