1.

We'll see. I didn't bother watching it on Friday, but when people who don't even like LuNacy are saying the dialogue was a huge insult to them, then I have a pretty clear picture. And who knows who put those words in Luke's mouth? Could be RC with his talk about L&L, or it could have been GW who hasn't done LuNacy any favours at all (and I doubt RC has been making that many changes in what's currently in the can - he's got other things to focus on. Besides GW has broken LuNacy up before - remember the February with the Campbells placements?).

I'll make up my mind in the next few months, and by then it should be obvious what the new team has in mind. I came into this ship not really liking Luke alone or Tracy alone, but seeing the magic in them together. If that magic is going to be destroyed over misplaced nostalgia, then I'm going back to my soap-free existence (Days has screwed Magic with their new team). All of you are lovely people and I will miss you, but soaps aren't worth the time and effort if they can't keep with their strengths but instead rely on out-dated pairings/cliches.

 2.
As much as it pains me to say it, you get rid of those six actors, you kill the show automatically. They are the heavy hitters. Insider continued to say there were told they were going to be put at their 72 epi. minimums, which for the big three was a reduction of $100K a year at least - but for Jane that would be an increase in work (gotta love the irony and reality there). Who knows, perhaps Jane will get the Tony Geary Treatment.

As always, what goes on behind the scenes is eminently more interesting than what goes on in front of the screen. Just as long as they keep LuNacy, I'll hold on. They kill LuNacy, that dust will be my tracks as I head out.

 3. Hmmm….. I wonder what it means when an insider says the only actors they know for sure have been spoken to are LW, MB, SBu, KeMo, TG………. and Jane!
 4. LOL, the duelling insiders on DD are getting vicious. I just hope someone figures out who's who and what's what (though personally this "Douchbag Insider" is fun to read). My membership to the GH fan world is hanging by a very fine thread.
 5. Luke better get his sh!t together ASAP. Just saying….
 6. Well the gossip on this one is running wild with insiders claiming they know what's what. So far all I've observed is that insiders are "side swiped" by announcements they had no notion of, but everything they have is oh so real. We'll see. Personally I can think of a tonne of characters that I would like to see gone. If LW and MB aren't happy, GREAT! There's the door, don't let it hit you in the over-blown ego on the way out. Regardless of what's happening, I think the only thing we can believe for sure is big changes are underfoot behind the scenes. Whether they actually make a dent - and a positive one at that - on screen will have to be seen in hindsight. The ONLY positive that I think we can hold onto is that the OLTL writing team did seem to enjoy their legacy vets and write for them, so here's hoping that the Unholy Trinity FINALLY gets gutting or at least takes a backseat.
 7. BTW, anyone who missed yesterday's show... - Lulu at ELQ offices questioning Tracy about AZ and her love for Luke - Luke back in town and less than amused at seeing Tracy's wedding announcement in the paper - AZ rather graphic in his gestures that he plans to kill Tracy after the wedding (thus assuring everyone that a Tracy/Zacrazy pairing is NOT going to happen) - Tracy doing everything she can think of to get out of this except asking for help (silly woman) - Tracy kidnapped from her office (probably Luke, but last scene so we didn't see who it was) black bag over her head and everything - She finally took her rings off….. sigh…..
 8. I'm not denying how great the characters are, I'm taking about how "invasions" are never wise. We'll see how it all pans out. Most recent spoilers have a lot more characters coming to GH for "cameos" or short term. Look, if this finally guts the mobbies and has a melding of the core families of both shows moving everything in a different direction, I'll open my mind. But don't forget this was the team that wanted to mob up OLTL in the beginning and failed miserably, then brought on their own host of newbies that pissed off old-time OLTL fans. None of these teams is that different from the others, and to think so sets everyone up for fail.
 9. Skye had a point to her. She had a story arc that crossed all four shows and that was how it was treated. She wasn't just moved from one show to another because the previous one was dying. It took a lot of planning, and didn't always work well, but there was a point to her popping around (and personally I thought Linda Dano and Stuart Damon had some of the most amazing instant chemistry I've ever seen and I wished they had followed those two in a story rather than yet another Alan/Monica schtick). I actually thought the Skye multi-show story was a brilliant feat in storytelling and logistics. Every show added something logical to her past, didn't take away from what was already happening, and really anchored ABCD. This one, Baby Boy, is apples and oranges.
 10. It never fails to amaze me how soap writers/producers do the same things over and over again and expect it will work out differently. That's the definition of STUPIDITY. Now we see that Blair, Starr and Todd Manning and John McBain in full character are moving to GH. The same stunt was pulled with AW went off the air and stars from that show went to ATWT (only the character of Jake lasted past the first year). What was realized at the time - and still holds true - is that soap characters are part of a fabric and you can't just pull out your favourite colours to put into a new tapestry and expect it to work. GH has its own rich heritage and those actors never seem to get the attention they need as other newbies take the stage. If this current executive team has the task of burying GH once and for all, they certainly know how to do that much.
 11. Oh, I do hope this is worth the price of admission. JE is brilliant - so here's hoping she spins this straw into gold.
 12.
LOL nice to see you here TL - been awhile.

On Days, I'm NOT jumping up and down to see the airhogs DH2 on Days. Really pissed actually that Maggie has been put back on the shelf and haven't watched in ages. But I do keep up with spoiler stuff and all of this is leading to Will's acknowledgement that he's gay on top of the fact that Will watched Sami/EJ in the same way that Sami watching Mar/John a generation ago so repeating the story (which is yet another prop of the overly propped). It's stage setting stuff right now. Maggie knows nothing about Victor's involvement - no hint that they are even going to go there.

KeMo has been rumoured preggers so often I'll wait for the official word, but you know Sam is supposed to be so perhaps it's make-up.

Abby's dead? Missed that information. Oh well… Rage Boy is probably at it again. It will be interesting to see what an entire new regime will come up with for the show. I just hope they get over their Laura Love, because the character it's worth it. Just like Marlena's return has meant a lot of good characters with tonnes of potential have all been pushed to the side to have her redo her own past, it would be the same if Laura returned to GH. The potential already exists and returns just water down what's already there. A few members of isolated fanbases will be happy, but the show as a whole will suffer. You'd think writers/producers would learn that lesson watching how the Unholy Trinity has eaten GH alive for a decade, but perhaps all these people are too convinced of their own brilliance and think they can avoid that trap.

I'm just waiting for spoilers to tell me there's something worth my while - and I've been waiting a long time.

 13. Nope. The banner is canon. What came this year is the aberration.
 14.
Ya know Lain, even if you haven't much to say just dropping by to share your banner is a wonderful thing

 15. GW's stuff perhaps, but earlier in the year I'm sure some of RG was cut away. Let's just hope the new regime knows what they have and don't treat her as wallpaper
 16. Thanks Hooked. Unexpected twist? Not if you're a LuNacy fan - it's VERY expected, lol. I just want them to get this show on the road. It's been dragging out way too long and those poor numbers for Tracy suggest to me stuff was cut. Oh well, what's past is past. If they are keeping Anthony like this (which I hope because it's true to his character) then I'm guessing the spoiler I saw that Tracy falls for him is real is completely bogus. It would take a major rewrite of the character for her to fall for someone insane and murderous. Sure she likes to blackmail and manipulate, but this is on a whole different level of evil aimed at her. Lukey better get back to her quickly because Spanky needs her tarnished knight.
 17.
^^ just one correction (because I haven't been watching either), Tracy did not initiate the "divorce" - if it is even finalized - Luke did. He thought it better to set her free and Tracy disagreed. She won't take him back as is, but she didn't send him away either. Lulu and Tracy had a long discussion not that many months ago about how she will always love Luke and be connected to him, no matter what. She just wanted him home. Tracy doesn't believe Luke gave up the bottle, and Luke can't get past his guilt over Jake and how his family has shattered since.

As for Lucky, JJ walked because he couldn't handle the constant anguish Lucky was in, but if spoilers are to be believed TPTB (new ones) are trying to get him back. But maybe we'll get lucky and GV will return in his place. (An example of the WORST recast/original cast return EVER. Both needless and lacklustre.)

Nice to see you LB. I'm holding out for LuNacy as well. At this point nothing I read in spoilers or recaps is interesting enough to draw me away from r/l. The exception being Tracy and Lulu in the kitchen - could someone tell me what date that was please. TIA

 18. Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to all!!!!
 19. It's not about the beloved veterans not driving story - of course they can and haven't been allowed to for years. The problem comes from vets not being around for ages and then suddenly in the mix with characters who are supposed to be their relatives played by actors who have never even met before. There is a false integrity to it that ruins things. Or the other extreme is what Days has done by basically bringing back specific vets and handing them 2/3 of the show. Either way vets do not bring viewers and that's been proven time and again on GH as well as other shows. It's a myth that obviously dies hard, but still a myth.
 20. Yeah, but time moves on. We can't have the same characters telling the same story over and over again. Nostalgia does not tell growing stories.
 21.
In the actually 90's perhaps, but it was terribly heavy. I believe all those mentions were also the early 90's. By the late 90's the mob had taken over, Luke was a shell of himself, the best they could do for Bobbie was an aborted affair with Alan, the door for younger actors was truly revolving and I had enough drama in my own life that I didn't need it on my TV screen.

Nope, redoing anything is a recipe for disaster. I really believe in the axiom "You can't go home again", and I get really turned off when soaps try to do that. What's in the past is past, and if you can't come up with something more innovative to go forward then perhaps you shouldn't go forward any longer.

The problem with soaps these days is they are still trying to find the magic formula for ratings without fundamentally changing anything. It's not going to work. And as much as I've loved getting to know everyone here, I have way too much happening in my own life to even care about the show anymore.

The most imagination I've seen on this show in lo these many years was around Night Shift when they had all of those various culture/background character working in the hospital and interacting with core families. But TPTB decided to WASP everything again and they haven't had a direction since that they made work for them. Even potentially good stories were ruined by knee-jerk rewrites and the constant need to bring the same character back to the foreground.

As for Robin, while I really enjoyed her in the 90's with the HIV/AIDS and Nurse's Ball stories, she has been such a pill since returning that I'm ready to hold the contaminated syringe myself, and not worry one hoot about the morally incensed. Carly hasn't been real since SBr, Jason and Sonny are wastes who have been headliners why exactly?

Nope, I'm not interested.

 22. He had better. There is no way in anyone's right mind that Tracy would accept someone like AZ. And I gotta say if the rumours flying around that this new team loved 90's GH and want to relive those days are true, I'm outta here. I don't like Luke without Tracy and I don't really care for Tracy without Luke or Lulu or Ethan (who also sounds to be leaving). Days is doing the 90's revisit and the show is quite horrid. I don't care if the dialogue is better, it's the same stories as 15 years ago. Maggie has once again been put on the shelf, her wedding a farce, and her newly acquired son ridiculous (while I like Dan as a character, the whole premise that he's Maggie's son is far fetched even for Days). LuNacy and Magic brought me back to their respective shows over the last number of years, and ending or sidelining them will send me away. I have too many things to do without spending my time looking in a rear view mirror.
 23. Wow, you know you haven't watched GH in awhile when you don't recognize half of those actors. So glad you did this again Hooked. Don't know that I'll ever make it to LA, but I've always wanted to do a Habitat build. Good stuff! And thanks for telling me about Lexi. I knew she would be fine but it's nice to hear that she's happy and moving forward as an 18 yr old should. So now it's prepping for the Season, eh? We're off to get our tree today, and I have a few last presents to buy. The kids' godfather decided - unbeknownst to us - that he was joining us for Christmas, so we got an email about a week ago with no preamble, just the itinerary of his flights. Good thing I don't get fazed by these things. Also a good thing we never go anywhere for the holidays. Then the day after he leaves, Thing Two's girlfriend and her family come for a week. Instead of being lonely for our first Christmas, we will have the house full for 11 days straight. Works for me.
 24. Seems like both the big tops at OLTL are coming to GH. Given how OLTL has always celebrated and written for women, Tracy/JE might fare very well. Another rumour that Sonny and/or Jason will be out soon. I can't see Jason, since they've been underscoring the fact that he's a birth-Q, but Sonny leaving would free up the canvas so much for everyone else. Here's hoping. I realize it's just a rumour, but perhaps some of us will get our Christmas/Chanukah/Yule wish this December.
 25.
Just got caught up (again, lol) and I've got to say I like what GW is giving Luke and Tracy.

The Edward/Tracy scene on Thanksgiving wasn't as bad as suggested online. It was normal for them and I can't wait to see how this story develops. I'm always amused how "spoilers" always appear after an online conversation, and the ones about Tracy's story being dropped are obviously false. It might not be moving with any great speed, but it's obviously moving.

And LuNacy were sweet throughout this whole Aiden thing. So nice to hear "Spanky" and "My Beauty" again. It's been too long, and Luke the Hero is still very much alive - even if he doesn't want to admit it.

As frustrating as it is watching them struggle with their relationship, from a storytelling perspective I like this slow build. A rush back to where they were this time last year would not have been realistic nor romantic, and most definitely OOC. The fact that they are still given their intimacy and the rings are there, shows how committed the writers are to this couple. With JJ's Lucky leaving soon, there is going to be a reconciliation between Luke/Lucky, and it will be interesting to see how that plays out for LuNacy. Lante/JaSam are still driving me insane with how boring the pairings are (I thought so even before GW took over - he's at least given them real issues to deal with) so I've no interest in tuning into the show, but the Tracy/LuNacy moments are even more wonderful than I could imagine - especially with how negative online viewers always seem to be.

All in all, this LuNacy fan is satisfied.
