  1. Exactly what I was saying after the first debate debacle. Obama should have come out swinging at the first debate. Look what a good job he did refusing to let Romney run from his record and his words. The CNN audience sharply agreed with him when he expressed his fury at Romney's attack over Libya. Obama's poor performance after the first debate made the road to reelection way harder than it had to be. He should be sauntering to the finish line, instead he is scrambling desperate. Worse of all it is ALL of his own making.
  2. For right wing Republican conservatives, "single mothers" has always been code for promiscuous unmarried black women with a bunch of children on welfare. Unfortunately for them, the population is changing. A whole lot of white women are getting divorced, staying single, and choosing not to remarry after being widowed so lumping them together as bad mothers is not the way to win their votes. I agree with you about Martha being the best moderator. I also agree that Romney was rude to Candy Crowley.
  3. Once a bully, always a bully. Remember the report on how Romney led some of his fellow privileged high school friends to hold down a classmate who was different and presumed to be gay and cut his hair with a scissors while he called out for help. Romney also led a blind teacher into a closed door and laughed about it. Romney has gotten older, but he has not changed at all. He is still a bully.
  4. Alexrod said that they had not planned to planned to use the 47 percent at the end when Romney could not lie to rebut it. It was brilliant that the President mentioned it at the end talking so passionately about the people who comprise that 47 percent. I am thrilled by the President's performance. I think that tonight that he won back the undecided and women who leaned away from him after the last debate.
  5. Apparently, the CNN undecided voters agreed with the President on this. Their line went way up. I don't think that President answered the question on Benghazi. However, his anger radiated and it was clear that he was offended by Romney and the Republicans' accusations so he made it personal about knowing the diplomats and their families and that he greeted their coffins which threw Romney off and he struggled to respond and shied away from confronting directly after that.
  6. I thought Candy Crowley was fine as moderator. She pushed back at Romney and most importantly she called him out on his lie which won her back any points she lost earlier, imo.
  7. Go, President, go! Rebut Romney's false attempt to define you. Yes, yes, the President talking about the 47 percent! He mentioned his grandfather fighting in WW II. Fabulous final statement from the President. Excellent!
  8. Obama has been fabulous tonight. He is the President fighting for the working class, women, and other marginalized groups. I am glad that Biden's performance taught him that it is okay to give the knock punch to your opponent, to hold him accountable for him positions, and call him on his mendacity. Hell, he is from Michigan and he doesn't have any chance of winning it either.
  9. What state is he even talking about? Massachusetts, where he is something like15 points behind the President?
  10. LOL! Even Candy Crowley can't take Romney's lies and stepped in to correct him on yet another one. Ah, what a tangle web we weave,..
  11. Kudos to the President so far! He is engaged, enthusiastic, and rebutting every one of Romney's lies. The President rocks! Tonight anyway.
  12. The national polls have begun to turn back in the President's favor and he has held his lead in Ohio. All Obama has got to do tonight is show empathy for the struggles of women and the middle class and show confidence in his plans to improve the economy and their lives. But he also has got shut down Romney's lies. He has got to show Romney for the liar, flip flopper, and hypocrite that he is, just like Biden did with Ryan.
  13. No doubt the Republicans will try to find another way to suppress the vote e.g. fewer machines in heavy Democratic districts. However, for now their attempts to steal the election has been stymied.
  14. I think that Lori's fear of the baby dying, reanimating, and then ripping her apart from the inside was a very well done scene. It was actually sad that she had to share her fears with Hershel because Rick would not give her the time of day, but I just cannot blame him for having enough of her drama for the time being.
  15. Ha, even the mainstream media has had enough of the American Family Association's hatred and lies: http://www.huffingto...ir=Gay%20Voices
  16. But if security at the embassy in Tripoli had been increased as requested, how would that have helped the consulate in Benghazi? And how would adding more Marines have helped against heavy weapons used in the attack? All that would have happened is that more people would have likely died. Given the intensity of the attack we are lucky that only three diplomats were killed. It is the responsibility of the host government to provide adequate security for the exterior of the foreign embassies. The Libyan government is at fault for not protecting the consulate's exterior adequately. Like Bush with 9/11, Obama and Clinton (I am not giving her a pass) are at fault for the CIA's failure of not stopping the conspirators before they actually attacked the embassy. Given the danger and all weapons the CIA passed on to the Libyans when they were fighting Gaddafi, the CIA should have tracking them and making sure that they were all accounted for. The CIA should have also been tracking radical groups in Libya. Losers: http://www.huffingto..._n_1970603.html
  17. I would not mind if Lori bit the dust, especially because that would mean that .
  18. Oddly enough, now that Rick can't stand Lori, I don't mind her as much. I am just glad that his eyes are open when it comes to her wishy washiness. I think he will probably forgive her eventually, probably just before she is eaten by a Walker. LOL!
  19. Yep, working together our survivors have become an efficient killing machine. I had not considered the prisoners' survival and the lack of food and water. They might be forced to cooperate with the prisoners, but they definitely should not trust them. Lucky you. I wish that I had not seen it. By the time, I realized that I should cover my eyes, it was too late. It is seared in my memory.
  20. The early ratings are in. The Walking Dead premiere smashed records for a cable show. The 9:00 p.m. viewing; 10.9 million viewers and a 7.4 HH rating. The 18 to 49 demo was ~5.8. Crazy! http://tvbythenumber...viewers/153085/
  21. My other favorite moments; The group quietly raiding the house. I love that they have their routine down cold now. No more arguing or bickering. Rick must have been tough as nails with them. I also like that the women are in on the action and not lounging in the background. Lori and Carol who have always been useless and finally fighting. I adore Maggie and Glenn so it is good to see that despite the dire circumstances that their love remains strong.
  22. Thanks. I cannot wait for next week. This show makes me so hyper that it is hard to sleep afterwards, watching Dexter after does not help either. I am still recovering from last night's episode though. I am still shaken by the sight of Rick hacking off Hershel's leg. I really did scream in shock.
  23. The hatred of the right-wing conservatives on display yet again: http://www.nytimes.c...ogram.html?_r=0 If only they would admit what they are and not misrepresent themselves as Christians. Then, there are these bunch of Republican liars and hypocrites who slashed the State Department's budget and are now slinging accusations about lack of security at the consulate in Libya: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/15/opinion/republicans-have-no-shame.html
  24. I missed The Talking Dead. Any spoilers?
  25. LOL! Daryl is great.I loved when he said that he was not sleeping locked in a cell.
