During the week ending August 30, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL attracted the show’s largest audience in almost five months (since the week ending April 19), reaching an audience of 3.39 million viewers. The daytime drama also bested its year-ago viewer number by +4% (from 3.26m). Source: Nielsen, live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 30.

The half-hour soap topped the all-important Women 25-54 demo among all daytime programming. That includes all soaps, game shows and talk shows.The end of the Hope baby storyline is surely going to push the show over the top.The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS....I'm surprised Bell didn't reveal the baby switch during July Sweeps month. For all the show's faults, in this day and genre you need an umbrella story with a payoff, something I haven't seen in awhile.0 -

I don't think there is an official date DTV dropped CBS, it seems it depends where you reside. edgeofnik is saying July 20, but for me in Nevada it was July 4.

Question: Viewers with Directv that currently doesn't air CBS since 7/4, could that have an impact on the ratings for Y&R and B&B?

Based on the press release, The Beavis and the Beautiful (LOL) gains 100,000+ viewers from this week (nothing about the demos which are probably stagnant). It seems "psycho Thomas" is working (the week mentioned - the aftermath of running Ema off the road).
Y&R - I agree with KMan101 the show is over-promoting Phyllis/Adam/Chelsea/Kevin returns.
Nice boost for Days for Caroline's memorial, but agree with Soapsuds overall the show is dull right now.

Bringing Adam back doesn't seem to have the impact hoped for.

The baby-switch story is dragging on B&B, but "psycho" Thomas seems to have sparked an uptick in viewership.

Yuck at this news. I was never a huge Phyllis fan, with Stafford in the role. BUT finally accepted Tognoni in the role, in fact have taken baby steps toward somewhat liking the character. Now with Stafford back...Meh.
