I'm showing her how stupid she is, and if she didn't see them for herself, then she clearly needs glasses
You're sick in the head. It would almost be funny if it wasn't utterly pathetic.

Mary was the most ATWT character Bill Bell ever conceived.

Yet talking about DD's looks and posting pictures of him half naked isn't.
They weren't attacking a GRIEVING individual in a baseless & offensive manner. So sit your thirsty ass down.

To me it was the arrival of Sally that really set B&B off - as much credit as the Sheila crossover gets, I think it was Darlene Connelly/Sally that brought a certain energy to the show that wasn't always there before.
+1.

Victoria's two other best rivals were Eileen's Ashley & Sabryn's Tricia.

Y&R always had a difficult time casting rivals for Victoria.

I think she's just a whackadoodle lol
Yet every other Y&R actor who acts just like her on social media is perfectly acceptable.
A thread about Kristoff's DEATH once again becoming about VR supposedly being "crazy" is offensive...

You can't discuss B&B without mentioning the great Darlene Conley.
She & the scruffy Spectra clan were perfect rivals for the stuffy Forrester family.

It's still so weird that he's gone....

Why didn't they try pairing Tony & Felicia?

If TPTB want to tell a story they’ll tell a story
Not true.
Like when Y&R began a story with Adam only to drop it as soon as JM renewed his contract. Same thing with pairing JM with a new character during his contract issues.
There were similar situations when they paired Nikki & Bobby and JIll & Larry, etc.
Stories stop, start, shift & change for all sorts of reasons.

or they'd have continued it despite his illness.
No. They wouldn't have. A huge number of stories were dropped and/or changed due to Bill's illness.

Had she been more than that, her and John would have married.
That's where the story was going until Bill's illness & backstage issues caused major problems.

LOL should've listened to black women.

Wasn't it Guza's idea to pair Luke & Felicia?

And I cringe every time her "deep connection" to the abbots is brought up here like it's something to be revered.
It is something to be revered. Mamie was for all intents & purposes Jack, Ashley & especially Traci's surrogate mom.

Why I'm mourning Kristoff St. John
Long before there were black showrunners like Shonda Rhimes and Kenya Barris creating series that showcase the complexity of the black experience, there were black soap stars acting out storylines that often ignored they were considered "the other" in the mainstream.

Did Dru and Lillie Belle ever mend fences in the end? I can't seem to remember Lillie Belle ever quite getting past her disdain for conceiving Dru.
They did. Lillie Belle & Dru managed to mend their relationship before her parents returned to NY. It wasn't perfect but it was definitely progress.

We also never got to see Devon introduce Hilary to Lillie Belle.

Redaric & Lamon were hired because of her too.

I'd almost forgotten that Neil was initially interested into Olivia, and Dru was obviously into Nathan. Bill Bell loved his sibling quadrangles - I guess this was his first attempt at doing it with black people.
He did it with his initial Black characters too. They just weren't related. Jazz had a thing for Amy who had a thing for Tyrone.
Once Tyrone started wearing whiteface & dating Alana, Amy began flirting with Nathan until she disappeared with Nathan becoming the center of a love triangle between Liv & Dru.
8 minutes ago, BetterForgotten said:The Barber/Winters brought so much vitality to the show in those early years, yet even then, the show was accused of having its black characters in a bubble and very much in their own little corner. However, I didn't mind as Y&R was always the one soap where characters didn't always have to intersect and some popular characters would never cross one another's paths.
The thing is that The Barber/Winters were initially VERY well integrated into the canvas. It wasn't until a terrible decision by Bill Bell (driven largely by major behind the scenes drama) that everything changed.
