  1. The Jeffrey/Wyatt situation is a combination of funny and sad, but I suspect an eventual hookup between them anyway. They are both stabbing each other in the back and neither one of them knows it. Interestingly, I think the romance will come as a result of their backstabbing.

  2. Oh, I definitely agree with you on both things. This is just the first "major" character that's been gay on a Tyler Perry production and I was curious to see how he was going to handle it.

And yes, I appreciate how realistic Veronica is written. I was just surprised that Tyler Perry was willing to recognize that.

Seems like he's definitely botching this particular story as expected he would. Shame! It's a gay tale with quite a bit of oddity in my opinion. I mean, who's playing whom? Wyatt says he's still gathering "evidence" against Jeffrey which is strange to me because what more "evidence" does he need? They give each other bracelets as gifts, and if we recall several episodes back, Wyatt DID give Jeffrey a bracelet as a gift which resulted in Veronica flipping out. Next week Jeffrey is seen saying to Candace (or is it Laura?) that he's just trying to help Wyatt "find himself." So Jeffrey feels certain that Wyatt "plays for his team" but needs help in realizing it, while Jeffrey will utilize Candace as his beard. Where oh where will this go? LOL.

  3. He's on the couch supposedly sleeping in Wyatt's room. Wyatt is asleep. Jeffrey goes over to his bed, gets under the covers and starts caressing Wyatt's hand and arm. Wyatt begins to move and J gets out of the bed and goes back to the couch. It was creepy.

ETA: Looks like J ups the ante next week. This is not a love story in the making. It definitely looks like it's going to be Fatal Attraction.

OH MY! LOL. Jeffrey and Wyatt really needed to have a heart-to-heart talk with each other a long time ago IMO. Wyatt knows about Jeffrey courtesy of the hidden webcam experiment. I don't understand why Wyatt never confronted Jeffrey after discovering on webcam that he was leering at him like a sex object. Now it looks like this will spiral out of control needlessly.

  4. Wait a minute! Did this episode imply that Wyatt AND Amanda were molested by the priest or did the priest order Wyatt and Amanda to molest each other? That seems almost heavy-handed, especially now that Amanda has also recently been raped by a professor. That's just a double-whammy for her character. Jeffrey's lust for Wyatt just became that much greater, almost to the point of crazy! Where in the world is this show going with these characters?

  5. No for apparently such a severely troubled addict, he has an awfully fit body, no sign of sweat, etc, etc. I know this is a soap, but... We did see him take a swig of liquor (the family doesn't lock that up?)

The one and ONLY time we saw him sneaking a sip of champagne was at the dinner party his parents had in the pilot, I believe. No indication of him struggling with his so-called addictions since.

  6. The writing's not that deep. Katherine moaned about the "one week" that changed Wyatt forever, when she let down her guard and sent him off to church camp.

If the writing is not that deep then I don't expect to see any real semblance of it. We're supposed to see Wyatt as some troubled recovering addict, but if it weren't for the audience already knowing that addiction is in his character's background, we would never know that Wyatt is an alcoholic/drug addict. He doesn't give much of a clue one way or the other.

  7. What has happened in regards to Jeffrey and Wyatt since the epi when Candace felt him (Jeffrey) up? I honestly haven't bothered to check in since finding out Amanda got raped.

Jeffrey and Wyatt? Jeffrey still follows Wyatt around A LOT! There's innuendo that Wyatt might have endured childhood abuse though there's HARDLY any confirmation of that in any way. Next week, Wyatt's old flame arrives on the scene and Jeffrey appears majorly jealous. I like this actually because I've been saying that there needed to be a "third wheel" added to the Jeffrey/Wyatt dynamic to get things rolling. Now the fun begins............................

  8. Wyatt WILL give in (and you can define "give in" any way you want). Jeffrey said he's smart but he really isn't. If he thinks he can use Jeffrey's crush to manipulate him in ways to achieve whatever he wants, I suspect he's going to be surprised. And the "joke" will be on Wyatt. All it will take is a third party being thrown in with them, and watch what we'll see.

  9. LOL. Sadly, I do think that Jeffrey will be the "sad, lonely and in denial" guy for a bit longer. I don't think that Perry has the plan of Wyatt slowly falling for Jeffrey. I think, we'll see some new guy introduced, that has an instant attraction to Jeffrey right before the first season (or series) finale.

And then in typical soap fashion, Wyatt gets jealous of Jeffrey getting lots of attention from the new boy toy. HAHA! Also, I nominate Blair Underwood to play Candace's father.

  10. That scene was driving me nuts. Crystal and the actress, who portrays Hannah are the strongest performers on this show. I hope that both of their careers are relaunched.

ETA: The possibility of Wyatt and Jeffrey being a couple would be capitalized on, if the show was in the hands of another EP and writer.

So Jeffrey's purpose for his entire duration on the show is to follow Wyatt around like a puppy that wants to be taken home and to be Wyatt's babysitter at the same time? Whatever Tyler Perry's mindset is, I'd hope he'd have something slightly more interesting in mind for ALL of these characters.

  11. Loving? Wyatt said he didn't liek people laughing at his friends, Jeffrey hears for the first time ever that they're friends, then he makes a comment about Wyatt caring and Wyatt says he doesn't. The end.

No, it's not the end! At least I don't think so. It's all too clear that Wyatt is just a hot head who doesn't want to be seen as sentimental, let alone anything else. You also have to ask: Since when did Wyatt consider he and Jeffrey friends? Wyatt practically threatened to blackmail Jeffrey about being gay early on. That's hardly friendly.

  12. Just go ahead and hook Jeffrey up with Wyatt and be done with it. Very intimate dialogue between these two. The kind not often seen between two men on soaps. I'm surprised that Wyatt would even ask Jeffrey what he thought of him, given what he knows about Jeffrey. That said, I did like their loving exchange with each other.

  13. I thought they were going to kiss too lol

I didn't sense that they were going to kiss at all, despite my belief that Wyatt likely has as much sugar in his tank as Jeffrey does Veronica's reaction about the bracelet was understandable. There are some who say that she overreacted, but I get why she felt unnerved by Wyatt's gift to Jeffrey. Jewelry, IMO, is a very intimate thing. Think about it as though Wyatt had given Jeffrey a ring as a gift. It's just very intimate and Veronica reacted the way she did because she knows her son is gay and Wyatt's very intimate gift to him just added fuel to the fire. It sounds like Wyatt will attempt blackmail against Jeffrey because of his sexuality. I expect Jeffrey will beat Wyatt at his own game.

  14. Amanda and Wyatt are both screwed up, which kinda surprises me. I thought at least one of them would have been written with a bit more stability. Someone on another forum suggested that Jeffrey's plight as a queer dude is a red herring. Assuming that this could be true, I can't help but wonder what result is to be achieved by making some guy seem gay if he really isn't. Candace suggested that Jeffrey is gay while Wyatt appeared to verify it on a hidden webcam. I suppose they could both be wrong about Jeffrey, but then what? If it's a red herring, I sure hope they have an interesting reason for playing it up this way.

  15. Vanguardian, have you been watching or just reading recaps? Because I have only seen one episode of Generations--years ago--but the dialogue must be ATROCIOUS if this has better writing.

I do have to wonder about Perry--so he really honestly does write and direct everything he claims to? Talk about being overworked. I have no idea why he wouldn't just take the money and credit and hire decent staff writers--though his dialogue is so over the top bizarre and random I expect he does think it's clever.

Frequentsoap--people seem to feel differently about this show, some genuinely seem to love it, some think it's unwatchable. For me it is--so far anyway--a show that's so completely awful it's good. It's genuine camp (genuine because I really believe Perry feels he's telling some deep human truths here.) I admit, while it feels more like a daily soap, if it was a daily soap I'd probably get bored with it quickly or only watch every so often--but as a weekly show it's fun enough to tune in for. I suspect that soon (Wiki has 6 episode details up) it will have some really over the top Perry moment to liven things up.

For me, it's been recaps and every single video clip I can get my hands on. Just from those, I can easily tell that this carries a more campy quality. Camp often, but not always, entertains people. Generations wasn't very campy at all, and again, it suffered from poor writing and bad storytelling during its entire run.

  16. IMO, this is probably more of what Generations should have been. That was a soap that I thought had potential, but was hindered due to terrible writing and storylines from beginning to end. So far, I'm keeping up with this show through recaps and video clips, and I get a pretty good idea from that, of what's going on. I also don't get how Hannah didn't know about Wyatt's substance abuse issues with Jeffrey being stuck to him like glue no less. Luckily for her, Katheryn interceded just in time. I want to know what has Wyatt and Amanda so screwed up in the first place, though I have SOME idea of what Wyatt's problem could be, but I'm not completely sure. The cause of Amanda's behavior is a bit harder to discern.

  17. Skipped the latest episode comments to talk about the first two episodes (though my memory is fuzzy because it's been a week and I watch a good amount of television). I enjoyed them. It's definitely a Tyler Perry show though LOL. The stiff actors (though very nice to look at). Thankfully Jim, Hanna and Candace made up for the rest. It has a lot of potential though, I think they did an OK job at setting things up (the severely messed up kids, the non-existent Jim/Kathryn marriage, Hanna/Candace). Hope to see more of Benny, he wasn't given much.

Does feel very 90s/Passions-esque, agreed with everyone there. I'll keep watching.

There's also a website out there that has links to episodes of hundreds of shows/episodes. I can PM the link/name if anyone's interested.

Oh please send me a link to that website. I'm the odd man out around here with nothing to discuss pertaining to this show. LOL. I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

  18. Oh my! Has this show's luster worn off already? Where is everybody? LOL. No one seems to be responding nearly the way they did last week. Unfortunately, I have nothing to say about the show because I missed it (thought I got the torrents thing right but I didn't). I saw the pilot episode on Youtube (it has since been removed) and I missed the second episode. I think it's super annoying that they're not allowing this show's episodes to air either On Demand or on the OWN website. I may just have to wait for a DVD of the show IF that even happens.

  19. I love uTorrent -- not sure how I can answer any questions but I will try. I personally have a one stop place where I go to for torrents but I had to use TPB to get Tyler's show unfortunately since my normal source doesn't have the show.

Thanks! I think I've got it to work for me.
