  1. I remember the explosion being a lot bigger back then. I guess it was because I was so young. Special effects have come a long way.
  2. Jenny's jet ski accident! I'm so happy this is on youtube. I wish it was better quality though.
  3. It kind of bothered me that Harold the dog figured it out before Trevor and that Harold would be the hero. It was like watching Benji or Lassie.
  4. I thought so too. It was a bit out there. Why didn't Santa attend Myrtle's funeral?
  5. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your grandmother was lying to you.
  6. I think Marlena was stuck in a pit.
  7. I remember this. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see the ratings for that week because I knew All My Children was on the verge of dethroning Y&R.
  8. It's Christian Campbell as a baby.
  9. ^ It's like I'm in the first grade again. Memories.
  10. I love Erica doing "air quotes."
  11. ^ Tom and those eyes. He wanted to kill Erica.
  12. ^ I loved that episode of Oprah. Loved that theme song too. No Oprah. No Regis. No La Lucci. Daytime is changing.
  13. My grandmother is turning over in her grave right now. She hated Erica and she would always curse at the TV every time she was on. I got curious, so I started watching to see what all the fuss was about and of course I fell in love with the show. I was probably the only kindergartener who preferred to watch All My Children instead of Sesame Street. I think I feel a deep attachment to the show because it connects me with my grandmother who is no longer with us. I'm deeply hurt about the show's cancellation but I'm not going to stop being a fan once the show is done. It will live on on youtube and on my VHS tapes and I'll reminisce with fellow fans on this board.
  14. I never thought my show would have one of these threads.
  15. I don't really believe JDB considered temporarily recasting Erica. If she did, she's f*ckin crazy and deserved to be fired.
  16. I would've had a sh*t attack if another actress played Erica.
  17. I never thought I'd like Singing in the Rain.
  18. I'm not surprised. They never really seemed affectionate towards each other. I know they respect each other and they work well together but I never saw any passion between them outside of their choreographed routines.
  19. There was speculation that she would do this. TT I know has been ill for some time and hasn't been able to give her students the attention that they require. Incidentally, did you know that the long program music that Mao skated to was the same piece of music that Michelle Kwan was to skate to at the Torino Olympics, which was also choreographed by TT? I wish we could've have seen that long program of Michelle's.
  20. Thinking about it more, I'm not sure that Evan will continue to compete. Frank Carroll recently announced that he's leaving the Toyota Center in El Segundo and will instead coach out of Lake Arrowhead temporarily until a new facility is built in Cathedral City. The Toyota Center is 10 minutes from where Evan lives and Lake Arrowhead and Cathedral City are about two hours away. Will Evan go through the hassle of commuting or taking up temporary residence at Lake Arrowhead or Cathedral City to continue working with Frank? The same could be asked of Mirai, but she's just starting her career so I don't see her breaking away from Frank.
  21. I think most cable companies carry the channel. It's part of the NBC/Universal family of channels. They broadcasted some of the Olympic events that weren't shown on NBC. The good thing is that they carried the figure skating live and not as a primetime event. Good for us, but I guess bad for figure skating that it was banished to an obscure cable channel. Maybe the event will return to primetime if Evan decides to compete next year. He'll be a huge draw.
