  1. Thanks. I figured that or the episode at the cemetery is what GH would've submitted for Drama/Writing/Directing. They were the best episodes from any soap in 2024.
  2. Ratings for the week September 29 - October 3, 2025
  3. I didn't read the all the posts (wasn't going to read all 14 pages LOL)......does anyone know what episodes were submitted by the shows and actors?
  4. Taylor Swift Achieves Record-Shattering 4 Million Week With No. 1 Billboard 200 Debut of ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ The set launches with unprecedented modern-era album sales and album consumption units. By Keith Caulfield Taylor Swift achieves her 15th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 18) in record-breaking fashion with the debut of The Life of a Showgirl. Swift breaks out of a tie with Drake and JAY-Z for the most No. 1 albums among soloists and becomes the sole act with the second-most No. 1s. Only The Beatles, with 19 No. 1s, have more, dating to when the chart began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in 1956. All 15 of Swift’s full-length studio albums and rerecorded projects from 2008’s Fearless (her second album) through The Life of a Showgirl have debuted at No. 1. The Life of a Showgirl debuts with 4.002 million equivalent album units (which include pure album sales and streaming activity) earned in the United States in the week ending Oct. 9, according to Luminate, following its Oct. 3 release. Of that sum, pure album sales total 3,479,500. Those are the largest weekly sums for an album, by both equivalent album units and pure album sales, since Luminate started electronically collecting data in 1991, beginning the modern era of weekly music tabulation. Previously, the modern-era records for single-week equivalent album units, and pure album sales, for an album were set by the opening frame of Adele’s 25, with 3.482 million units, of which 3.378 million were pure album sales, in November 2015. -------------- Best pure album sales 1, Taylor Swift, The Life of a Showgirl, 3,479,500, Oct. 18, 2025 2, Adele, 25, 3.378 million, Dec. 12, 2015 3, *NSYNC, No Strings Attached, 2.416 million, April 8, 2000 4, Taylor Swift, The Tortured Poets Department, 1.914 million, May 4, 2024 5, *NSYNC, Celebrity, 1.880 million, Aug. 11, 2001 6, Eminem, The Marshall Mathers LP, 1.760 million, June 10, 2000 7, Backstreet Boys, Black & Blue, 1.591 million, Dec. 9, 2000 8, Taylor Swift, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), 1.359 million, Nov. 11, 2023 9, Eminem, The Eminem Show, 1.322 million, June 15, 2002* 10, Britney Spears, Oops! …I Did It Again, 1.319 million, June 3, 2000 ---------- Most streamed album in a week 1, Taylor Swift, The Tortured Poets Department, 891.37 million, May 4, 2024 2, Drake, Scorpion, 745.92 million, July 14, 2018 3, Drake, Certified Lover Boy, 743.67 million, Sept. 18, 2021 4, Taylor Swift, The Life of a Showgirl, 680.90 million, Oct. 18, 2025 5, Taylor Swift, Midnights, 549.26 million, Nov. 5, 2022 6, Drake, For All the Dogs, 514.01 million, Oct. 21, 2023 7, Drake & 21 Savage, Her Loss, 513.56 million, Nov. 19, 2022 8, Morgan Wallen, One Thing at a Time, 498.28 million, March 18, 2023 9, Morgan Wallen, I’m the Problem, 462.63 million, May 31, 2025 10, Lil Wayne, Tha Carter V, 433.02 million, Oct. 13, 2018 ------------ Taylor moves into second place with 15 number one albums. Only The Beatles have more at 19.
  5. The Fate of Ophelia is Taylor's 13th #1 song as writer/singer, and 7th #1 as a producer. Opalite becomes her 11th #2 song. She now as 69 top 10 songs. It's now her 3rd time occupying the entire top 10 on the Hot 100. She remains the only artist to occupy the entire top 10.
  6. Eras Tour docu-series! Yes!
  7. Been waiting for their reaction to "Wood." 😂
  8. LOL Thanks. That's a good looking group right there.
  9. I love watching their videos/clips because they're funny and the editing pretty good with the sound effects. LOL
  10. True on the bolded part. Here's Gavin Newsom using the song. LOL https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPW_w-kgRuD/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet Not only do I love the lyrics, but I love the way she sings in this. "You think I'm tacky, baby / Stop talking dirty to me" It's cheeky/playful. LOL
  11. Taylor Swift Breaks Adele’s Streaming-Era Record With ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl has now earned 3.5 million equivalent album units in the United States, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate, since the album’s release on Oct. 3. Of that sum, traditional album sales (physical and digital purchases) equal 3.2 million copies, with the remaining 300,000 powered by streaming activity of the songs on the album. Luminate’s current tracking week began on Friday, Oct. 3, and ends on Thursday, Oct. 9. With 3.2 million copies sold, The Life of a Showgirl continues to near the record for the largest sales week for an album in the modern era (since 1991, when Luminate began electronically tracking music purchases). The modern-era single-week sales record is held by the opening week of Adele’s 25, when it debuted with 3.378 million copies sold in 2015. However, as The Life of a Showgirl has earned 3.5 million equivalent album units, the album has now secured a new record for the largest week, by equivalent album units, for an album, since the Billboard 200 chart began ranking the week’s most popular albums by equivalent album units in Dec. 2014. The previous record was held by the debut week of Adele’s 25, which bowed with 3.482 million units on the Dec. 12, 2015 chart (mostly powered by the 3.378 million individual purchases of the album, with the remaining sum driven by track purchases and streaming). -------------------- Holy crap, she broke the record for units in 5 days. She just needs 179,000 pure albums to break the pure copies record. Can she reach 4 million units?
  12. Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Sales Climb to 3 Million in U.S. Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl has reached 3 million in traditional album sales (physical and digital purchases), across all versions of the album, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate. On the album’s first day of release (Oct. 3), it cleared 2.7 million sold. After Showgirl’s first day, it captured the second-largest sales week for an album in the modern era — since Luminate began electronically tracking data in 1991. The only larger sales week in that span of time was registered by the opening frame of Adele’s 25, which sold 3.378 million copies in its first week in 2015. Showgirl has earned over 3.2 million equivalent album units in the U.S. (Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.) Of note, none of the tracks from the album are available to purchase individually on digital stores. --------- Taylor is going to have the record for best first week sales. The only question is can it happen just happen with pure album sales.
  13. Obviously, I would love her to win another Album Of The Year.....but I don't really want it to happen for this album because I want it for her next album, her 13th album. Would love to see her finally win Record or Song of the Year for The Fate of Ophelia.
  14. Such a good response. 👏
  15. @YRBB 1) Severe lack of catchy melodies/choruses/hooks. The Fate of Ophelia and Opalite come close. I disagree. I'm a melody/chorus/hook-first guy and lyrics second. Almost every song "sounds" good to me. 2) Immature, corny, nonsensical, simple, borderline amateurish lyrics panned by even hardcore fans. And......??? You can find all that on every Taylor Swift album. LOL WANEGBT, 22, Shake If Off, LWYMD, ME! - just to name a few. I think that is part of what makes me love Taylor - she's has these nonsensical and simple lyrics that most fans don't really care about. We'll still sing these songs. "when the coke's got you brave" I LOVE THIS LINE! It's freaking awesome. Actually Romantic is one of the few instances where I prefer the lyrics over the music. "Like a toy chihuahua barking at me from a tiny purse / That's how much it hurts" is another favourite. I think the song is brilliant. "key that opened my thighs" So many people really love Wood. So do I.....but mostly of the music production and some of the lyrics. I will not sing parts of this song. hahaha I think it will be the third single after Opalite. The really awful Wi$h Li$t were she mocks people for wanting fame, success, money This is actually false. She says: "And they should have what they want / They deserve what they want / Hope they get what they want." 4) CANCELLED!????? Once Blake Lively started liking Taylor's stuff, I just knew: She's referring to that fantastic disaster. We don't know it's about Blake. Cancelled is spelled with the British/Commonweath version. but it's entirely possible she has made a great miscalculation in her career with this album. Umm..... you don't remember the beginning of Red when WANEGBT was release? You don't remember the beginning of 1989 when Shake It Off was released? You don't remember the beginning of reputation when LWYMD was release? You don't remember the beginning of Lover when ME! was released? She has revealed herself as relatively shallow, vapid, a perpetual victim; sadly, what people have been accusing her of being. She's allowed to have fun and be silly and be vulgar and have innuendos....and she's allowed to clap back, especially in a very fun way. She's not out there liking shady/racist posts like Charli, or getting in social media fights. Save it for the music - it's the best way to go.
  16. I loved it - the sets, the costumes, the hair, the simple choreo. It's my favourite music video of hers that she's directed.
  17. Well, I wouldn't call it mature.....hahaha. To me, this is a glitter gel pen album. It's fun, sometimes unserious, sometimes raunchy, sometimes cringy (which Taylor said to embrace it in 2022). We needed this album coming off The Tortured Poets Department. Here's what Taylor said about glitter gel pen songs a couple years ago: "The third category is called Glitter Gel Pen and it lives up to its name in every way. Frivolous, carefree, bouncy, syncopated perfectly to the beat. Glitter Gel Pen lyrics don’t care if you don’t take them seriously because they don’t take themselves seriously. Glitter Gel Pen lyrics are the drunk girl at the party who tells you that you look like an Angel in the bathroom. It’s what we need every once in a while in these fraught times in which we live." It's only fitting for an album that has glitter visuals.
  18. Haha. Awesome you love this album. I love it too. Father Figure is great too! This is another catchy song. "I protect the family" - I love it when she whispers this. This is good video someone made on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPZHxXnigqm/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet Love the production on Elizabeth Taylor.
  19. It wasn't what I expected either when I saw Max and Shellback were the only producers. But we already experienced that kind of pop music with 1989 and reputation and parts of Red. There's a lot of 70's pop vibes on this album, and that is a new thing for the Max/Shellback/Taylor team. The Fate of Ophelia and Opalite are the two songs that are the catchiest songs, and Opalite as the best chorus and bridge, IMO. Opalite needs to be the next single. I'm starting to like Wi$h Lis$t a lot because of the instrumentals/melodies. Does it have the best lyrics? Hell no. LOL However, it just makes me feel good. I feel the same way about Honey. Wood is starting to grow on me (no pun intended). LOL I don't care about the subject matter and I refuse to sing most of the song. LOL But the instrumentals/melodies is so catchy. This is another song with 70's pop vibes.
  20. Initial thoughts: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE(!!) Opalite (see what I did there? LOL) I'm pretty sure it's going to be in my top 10 Taylor songs. I love it so much. I also really like The Fate of Ophelia. Both songs are great to dance to! Love seeing videos on people dancing to these songs. LOL TFOO is one of her best lead singles. I think it will have more longevity than Fornight. Of course I'll say more later when I have to digest everything. Taylor Swift Sells 2.7 Million Copies of ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ on First Day of Release in U.S. Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl album is off to a sparkling start in the United States. On its first day of release, Oct. 3, the set sold 2.7 million copies in traditional album sales (physical and digital purchases) across all versions of the album, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate. That marks Swift’s biggest week ever, and the second-largest sales week for any album in the modern era — since Luminate began electronically tracking data in 1991. The only larger sales week in that span of time was registered by the opening frame of Adele’s 25, which sold 3.378 million copies in its first week in 2015. OMG. 2.7 million in the first day, which means it's already Taylor's best first week. TTPD had 1.9 million pure copies in its first week.
