Jason and Alison were having breakfast, talking about her conversation with Emily at Wyndemere when the phone rang. Jason picked it up and was surprised to hear Brenda's voice. "Brenda? Is everything all right with Sonny? What's going on?"

"It's not Sonny, he's fine. It's Alan." Brenda said in a low voice. "He's having some serious pains. I know you have problems with the Quartermaines, but you probably should get down to the hospital." Brenda paused, "Jason, it's very serious. Put away any animosity and go see the man that raised you even though you can't recall it, he can. From what I was told, it may be very serious."

Jason sighed heavily. "Ok, I know. Let me get dressed and I will be right there." Jason hung up the phone and looked at Alison. "It's Alan. He's very sick and I need to go to the hospital. Brenda wouldn't call me if it wasn't true."

"I know Jason. I have to get to Nikolas' anyway to take care of Cameron and Spencer. Let me know if you need me." Alison kissed him briefly.

"I will." He said as he headed out the door.

Patrick had just finished with his first surgery and was cleaning up when a nurse came in and told him about Alan. Immediately he went over to a phone and called Robin. She answered the phone, sounding out of breath. "Hello."

"Robin it's me. I have to tell you something." Patrick said in a very serious voice.

Robin sat down in a chair and whispered, "It's not my father or Mac is it?" From the tone of his voice she knew something was wrong. "What's going on Patrick?"

"It's Alan Quartermaine. He was brought to the ER with possible chest pains. I am going down there to see what I can do before my next surgery. One of the nurses told me that my father is already there." Patrick relayed.

Robin got up and grabbed her keys, "I'll be right there."

Alan had fallen into a light sleep. Noah and Monica were looking at the EKG and CAT scan and had concluded that he didn't have a heart attack. "Monica, you did the right thing getting him down here as fast as possible. The cold foot was the tip off. It is an aortic aneuryism. We will have to perform surgery in the next few hours, maybe even wait until tomorrow since it was caught so fast. I will need a cardiologist in there with me and I will not have you."

Patrick had walked in and was looking at the scans. "I agree that it is an aneuryism. I would assist but I have another surgery that will take me at least six hours. I will be too tired to do this surgery."

Monica looked at both men and spoke strongly. "I will assist. He is my husband and I want to be there."

"No you won't." Noah said. "You need to be there for your family and for Alan. You know the risks involved here. You should also get in touch with any family members that aren't here because the next 48 hours are critical. Monica, you know this." Noah looked at Patrick. "I know a doctor in Pine Valley who is very good, in fact Robin knows him. Dr David Hayward is world reowned and has saved many lives. He is the doctor we need here to help us with Alan."

"How does Robin know him?" Monica asked.

"He was her stepfather for a short time. He was married to Anna a few years back. I am positive if Robin called him he would come." Patrick said.

"Monica, why don't you tell Alan what is going on and we will tell the rest of your family. I believe that they are in the private waiting room. We will keep them separated from everyone else." Noah said.

Patrick said to Monica, "I have to go back upstairs. I have another surgery that I have to prep for. Dad, let me know how it comes out."

"Ok." Monica went into Alan's room and held his hand while he slept and the Dr Drake went in the waiting room to see Edward, Tracy, Emily, Ned, Dillion and even Jason there.

"Noah, what do you know about my son?" Edward blustered. "What's going on?"

Noah and Patrick sat down. "He has an aortic aneurysm in the main blood vessel to his heart. He will need surgery, hopefully today if possible. He needs to be stabilized first."

Tracy broke in, "Oh dear God, not Alan!" Tears started to roll down her face.

Edward's eyes filled with tears, "How serious is this?"

"The next 48 hours are critical. I would suggest if there is any family not present that you contact them and have them here as soon as possible. This is a life threatening procedure. We have to make sure that the aneurysm doesn't burst. There is a doctor out of Pine Valley named Dr David Hayward that I would like to contact to come assist me with this procedure. Dr Scorpio knows him well." Noah paused to let this sink in. "I am sure that if Dr Scorpio contacts him, that he will come."

Edward looked at Noah, "I need to make a couple phone calls to check out this Dr Hayward. This is my son that we are putting in this stranger's hand and I want to make sure that he is a good doctor. Where can I use a phone?" Edward stood up and blustered.

"I will bring you to an office where you will have some privacy." Noah said.

Edward turned to Ned, "Call that ne'er do well son of Alan's home. He needs to be here. I will contact Skye."

Ned nodded as Edward followed Noah into a small office. He picked up his phone and dialed information for Chandler Industries. He told the secretary who he was and that it was an emergency and that he needed to speak to his old friend Adam Chandler.

"Edward my friend!" Adam's gruff voice came over the phone line. "What can I do for you?"

"Adam I need you to tell me about David Hayward. Is he a good doctor?"

Adam's voice turned angry. "What has that scoundrel done to you Edward? I swear I could kill him with my own two hands if..

"Adam, I need to know if he is a good doctor!" Edward's voice broke as he yelled into the phone. "It's my son and he needs surgery. If JR or Little A needed lifesaving surgery, would you trust Dr Hayward to do it."

Adam's voice softened, "Oh God Edward. Alan is such a good man. Yes, David is many things but he is a good, dedicated doctor who will save his patients. Does Skye know?"

"Can you tell her? I'm going to have Robin Scorpio call David then and ask him to come up here." Edward said, his head hanging.

"Edward, I will fly them up to Port Charles on my plane. They can be here within the hour." Adam said. "Let me know how it goes."

"Thank you Adam." Edward hung up the phone and stared out the window. He shouldn't have to be in this position. Parents shouldn't outlive their children. He stood up and walked to the door and said to Noah. "Have Robin call him in." Edward walked back to his family, sat down and cried.

"Mac, Mac. Wake up." Bobbie shook him awake the next morning. "You need to get up and get some food in your stomach. I went out and got some coffee and cinnamon rolls."

Mac rubbed his eyes and tried to wake up. He grabbed a coffee from Bobbie and slowly sipped it. "I'm sorry you slept in a chair last night. I'll sleep on the floor tonight Bobbie."

"It's ok. I will be taking a nap later but it's no big deal." Bobbie sat down on the bed, "How did you sleep?"

"Better. I'm glad you are here. It was the first night I didn't crave a drink. Thanks for listening to everything." Mac said wearily.

Bobbie looked at Mac sympathetically. "Mac you have to first accept that Felicia and Maxie are gone and that it is not your fault. It is so hard, trust me I know. When I lost BJ and was caught kissing Damian Smith, well it was not my proudest moment." Bobbie stopped and took a drink of her coffee. "We all grieve differently but Mac we have to grieve. It's all done in different times but you have to accept that they are gone."

Mac's eyes teared up, "It's just so hard. With BJ, it was an accident. Maxie killed herself and I didn't see how distrurbed she was. I feel like I am to blame and I think I will always feel that way."

Bobbie laid her hand over his and lowered her voice. "You can't blame yourself for this. Now we need to tackle this day. We have to take one day at a time. Why don't you take a shower and we will go for a walk and let the maids clean in here. Maybe catch some lunch or something."

    "What about work Bobbie?"

"I called Alan and requested some personal time. I have so much vacation time accured he said it was ok." Bobbie paused and got up. "I also called Robert and let him know that I was with you and that you were ok. He would like for you to call him."

Mac got up, "I will after I take a shower." He grabbed some clothes and headed for the bathroom, "Bobbie?"

    "Yes Mac?"

    "Thank you."

"No Patrick, I don't like the couch like that." Robin was standing in the living room watching Patrick position the couch in the living room. "It needs to be centered more. Can you move it to the left a little, like two inches? Then I will hang the mural up over it."

Patrick moved the couch over and stood back, admiring his work. "What do you think?"

"Perfect." Robin slowly turned around to survey the room. "I think it came out great. All we have to do is make it a home now."

"Babe, it was my home the moment you and I moved in." Patrick came over and kissed her. "I love you."

Robin closed her eyes and smiled. "I love you too."

Patrick enfolded her in his arms. "I think that this whole house has really come together. The paint job looks great. I am loving the plasma TV and that king size bed is such a bonus. Waking up next to you is the greatest feeling ever." Patrick leaned down and kissed her. Mid kiss, his pager went off. "Oh Robin I have to call the hospital."

"I understand." Robin walked over to some boxes and started to unpack one of them that had some of their knick knacks and books in them. She looked up as he closed his phone. "What's going on?"

"One of my patients needs emergency surgery. Then I have that other surgery scheduled right after that which is going to be about six hours if I am lucky. I am looking at a really full day now." Patrick scratched his head and apologized.

Robin walked over and gave him a kiss. "Honey, we will have other days. I will unpack and put things away. Maybe call Brenda and see what is going on with her and Sonny."

Patrick smiled and kissed her. "Have I told you lately that I love you?"

"You can tell me again." Robin smiled, kissing him back.

    "I love you."

Alan was walking towards the Nursing Station when he felt the pain in his back. It was not the first time he felt in the last few hours. He grimaced and grabbed his back, rubbing it. He saw Monica at the Nurse's Station and stopped over to say hello.

Monica saw that a fine sheen of sweat had broken out on his brow. "Alan, are you ok? I know you didn't sleep last night. You were tossing and turning all night. What's going on?"

"I just couldn't get comfortable last night. Now I have this pain in my back. It keeps throbbing and won't go away. It's spreading too, down my legs. Also, my foot is cold." Alan's face was turning whiter. "I know that there is something wrong."

Immediately Monica yelled for a nurse to get a wheelchair. "Alan we are taking you to the ER to get examined." Alan sat in the wheelchair and the nurse wheeled Alan into the ER and into a room. Monica asked the nurse for either Dr Drake to be paged as well as Emily.

"Alan, I want to perform an echocardigram right now and a CAT scan. I need you to get undressed and put the gown on, ok?" Monica barked to the nurse to get another doctor in there and some nurses to bring in the portable CAT and EKG machine. They quickly complied. "Alan, I am not going to leave here, ok? I will stay here with you."

Alan lay back and closed his eyes. "This is bad, isn't it Monica. What do you think it is?"

"I'm not sure Alan, until I see the EKG." Monica replied.

Emily came bursting into the room. "Mom, Dad, what's going on?" Monica filled Emily in on Alan's symptons and asked Emily to call everyone to get to the hospital as soon as possible.

Emily kissed her father. "I will Mom. I love you Dad and I will be right back." Emily rushed to a phone and called the Mansion. Alice answered and Emily asked to speak to anyone that was home, preferably Ned if he was there.

Ned picked up the phone, "Hi Emily, what's up?"

"It's Dad. He is having some pains and it looks serious. Mom is running some tests. Can you please get everyone down here? I can't tell Grandfather over the phone. Can you please break it to him?" Emily's voice broke as she spoke.

"Is he having a heart attack?" Ned asked, worried.

Emily clutched the phone, "I don't think so. We are doing an EKG and a CAT scan to see what's going on. Can you just please call everyone so I can go back there? I don't want Mom alone right now. This looks bad Ned."

"Of course. We will be there as soon as we can. Go back in there and I will call my mother and Dillion. I will have Brenda call Jason at the same time and try to get him to come. Monica would appreciate that." Ned said.

Emily tried to hold back the tears, "Yes she will. I have to go. Thanks Ned."

Ned hung up the phone with a heavy heart and walked into the living room where Edward was reading the paper and talking with Brenda. Edward looked up and laid down the paper. "Ned, what happened."

"Emily just called from the hospital. It's Alan. He's having pains and they aren't sure what it may be We need to go to the hospital now." Ned spoke softly. "Brenda, can you call Jason and ask him to get to the hospital? I will call Tracy and Dillion from the car. Brenda if you can't get Jason, can you ask Sonny to convince him?" Brenda nodded and left the room.

Edward crumbled. "Not my son. He is stronger than that. He will be ok, right? Right Ned?"

Ned hugged his grandfather and led him towards the door. "He will Grandfather. He takes after you."

Today we have Tishy, the Executive Producer and Headwriter of The Citizens of Port Charles. She is here to speak about the blog, the future stories and some secrets about the blog. Thank you Tishy, for joining us today.

    Tishy: It's my pleasure.

Interviewer: You started out this blog with a bang, killing off Felicia and Maxie. From that came the story of Mac's spiral into chemical dependency. What brought you to the decision to kill off Felicia?

Tishy: I always thought that Mac could handle that story well and he has. It will tie him with Bobbie, who has also suffered so much loss. They will have an obvious bond, seeing that Maxie had BJ's heart. Mac and Bobbie will explore friendship, thats all for now.

Interviewer: Tell us the background with Scotty. Is it true that he was only scheduled for a short term run?

Tishy: Completely true. He was only slated for short term but with the feedback I received about Scott and Alexis and the fact that I love writing for Scott made me rethink that decision. So I created the Mayoral storyline to pit him against Ric, another formidable Alpha Male who is a perfect foe for Scott. Scott loves to stir the pot and Ric is the person who's buttons he is going to push. He already won round one when he won custody of Molly for Alexis. Round two is up for grabs and the winner may not be who you think.

Interviewer: Who is going to be the next mayor?

Tishy: That is for me to know and you to find out. But Election Night is a don't miss night. There will be a HUGE character return that will hopefully shock everyone. Hints are being dropped here and there.

Interviewer: Will we see a Lucky and Liz reunion?

Tishy: Ummmm, maybe. Liz is going to have a Super Bowl baby. We will see her interact with Jason and Lucky. Nikolas and Emily are going to hit a rocky patch because of the stunt she pulled with Alison. I have been trying to not feature Jason as much, but he will be back with a huge story. He is also going to interact with the Quartermaines a lot more.

Interviewer: Speaking of the Quartermaines, is AJ home for good? What is the story with him and Sarah?

Tishy: Yes he is and he will be working at ELQ. He and Sarah are happily married. However, Sarah has a past that will be explored with one Patrick Drake. This could destroy Patrick and Robin. Sarah is not the same sweet girl she was before. She is out for revenge. Patrick did her wrong.

Interviewer: Brenda and Sonny are happy, but are they in love? How will James and Ned play into this?

Tishy: In the past the obstacles that Brenda and Sonny have had to face have been internal. Now they have reached a point where they trust each other. Ned wants his son to be safe. He doesn't think that Sonny is safe with his son. Ned will definetly show that he is a Quartermaine and will go all out to protect his son. Brenda will be caught between a rock and a hard place. Her son and true love.

Interviewer: Carly will be coming back, is that true?

Tishy: Correct. We are in talks with several actresses to see who will be the best fit.

Interviewer: Will Jax be with her?

Tishy: Not at this time. We have other plans for her.

Interviewer: What about Alan? Will he be all right?

Tishy: He is not out of the woods yet. It could go either way with him. It is certainly creating story and that is what I am striving for. Alan's story is opening up story for all the Quartermaines which is exactly what I intended it for.

Interviewer: Thank you for your time. When will another episode be up?

Tishy: Hopefully today! Keep reading! And keep telling me what you want. Your feedback kept Scott Baldwin so trust me, it does help!

"Bobbie are you there?" Mac's desperation could be heard through the phone line, "I need help and I don't know who else to go to."

Bobbie said down in a chair and calmly asked, "Mac, where are you? Are you ok? Have you called Robert or Robin? They are really worried about you Mac."

"I am in a hotel room outside of Poughkeepsie. No, you are the only person I have called. I can't face Robert yet, I don't want them to be ashamed of me. I have been here for several days and Bobbie," Mac's voice broke as he started to cry, "I feel so alone. I need you to come up here. You are the only one who understands what it is like to lose so many people."

"Ok Mac," Bobbie stood up and started to walk upstairs. "I am going to throw some clothes in a bag and come stay with you. We will work through this. I am here to help you but I will tell Robert you are ok."

Mac was crying harder, "I can't get the image out of my head. Maxie won't fade. She haunts me Bobbie. So does Felicia. Bobbie, does it end? When you lost BJ, did she ever stop haunting you?"

"Oh Bobbie, I still dream of BJ and I always will. I still dream of Tony." Bobbie was quickly opening drawers and throwing clothes and toiliteries in her duffel bag. "They aren't haunting you, they are visiting. Think of the good times."

"You don't understand me Bobbie!" Mac cried angrily, "I can't think of the good times, I only see Maxie taking a gun to her head. I thought you would understand tragedy. They aren't visiting, they are taunting me. Saying over and over again that I was a horrible father and husband. I can't get rid of them! You have to help me."
He continued to sob harder that it sounded harder for him to breathe.

Bobbie shoved the last of her clothes in her back and zipped it up. She rushed downstairs and grabbed her keys. "Mac, I am on my way. Give me your number and I will call you right back. I will stay on the line with you the whole way there, OK? I will be there as soon as I can."

    "Thank you Bobbie." sobbed Mac.

Jason walked into Sonny's penthouse and made himself comfortable on the couch. He looked up when Sonny walked in, "Hi Sonny, you wanted to see me?"

"Yeah Jason. Did that shipment arrive from Miami on time and get distributed?" Sonny poured himself a drink and offered one to Jason, who declined.

"Yes, everything arrived on schedule and is on it's way to our distributors. The money is on it's way to the Swiss account as we speak." Jason reported. "How are things with you? Have you heard from Carly?"

Sonny sat down across from Jason and crossed his leg. "She and Jax made it to Austraila fine. The boys sounded excited to be on a new adventure. She wanted to pass on hellos to you."

"Thanks." Jason sat there and stared at Sonny for a few moments. "Something on your mind Sonny?"

"Nawww." Sonny smiled before taking a drink.

Jason immediately looked concerned. "Sonny is there something that I need to know about?"

Sonny debated telling Jason and decided too. "Brenda will be around here a lot more." Right then, there was a knock on the door and Max opened the door. "Mr. Corinithos, Emily Quartermaine is here to see Jason."

Jason quickly glanced at Sonny and half stood up, "You mind?"

Sonny shook his head, "Have her come in here. I will go in my study. I have a couple calls to make." He stood up as Emily walked in. "Hello Emily."

Emily walked purposefully towards Jason and sat down, throwing a quick hello to Sonny. She waited for Sonny to exit before saying, "Jason I have to talk to you."

Immediately Jason looked worried, "What's wrong? Is it one of the Quartermaines, is someone sick?"

"No," Emily shook her head, her hair flying in all directions as she looked serious. "It's Alison Barrington."

Jason's brows came together, "What about her?"

"I don't think she's right for you Jason. I think it's too soon after Sam and I am afraid she is using you. I just get this feeling from her that she is, I don't know, trying to get too much out of you right now than you are willing to give. You also have so much going on with Elizabeth and the baby. I don't think it's the right time for you to have a girlfriend right now."

Jason leaned back and stared at Emily. "Emily, did something happen between you and Alison? Where is this coming from?"

Emily sniffed, "Nothing happened." she spoke quickly.

Jason spoke quietly and in a way that suggested that he didn't want Emily to ever mention this again, "Emily stay away from Alison. You really don't know what you are talking about. I don't appreciate you bringing up Sam. I would like it if you please left." He spoke with controlled anger.

"Fine." Emily stood up and made one more attempt, "Just think about it, she's all wrong for you."

"Enough." a now angry Jason said.

Alexis down the path, heading for Kelly's to meet Scott for lunch. He had called her earlier and cajoled her to meet her for lunch. Finally to get him off the phone, she agreed. She was surprised that he was there before she was. "Hello Scott." She laid her coat over a chair and stared at him. "What do you want?"

"What makes you think I want something?" Scott demanded, "You know Alexis, I am starting to get a little bit perturbed that you always think I want something from you."

"Don't you?" Alexis shot back, "Like an endoresment for mayor? Do you really think you can win against Ric? Scott, you were almost disbarred."

"Thanks for reminding me." Scott said wryly. "I would think you would want me to beat your ex. Hey, I figure you owe me one as I won you custody of Molly for you with no publicity." Scott looked up and saw Lulu approaching, "Lulu, two coffees."

"Lulu, a roast beef sandwich too. Thanks." Alexis said. "I knew that would come back to haunt me. You are incorrigible Scott. I should endorse Ric just because you said that."

The door opened as Alexis said that and they heard a familiar voice, "Oh I don't think I need your endorsement Counselor." Ric stated, hanging up his coat. He arrogantly stated, "I will win this election without the help of you. Baldwin here is a joke, not even a real candidate. I will win in a landslide."

Scott grinned up at Ric and said mockingly, "Oh come now Lansing, are you afraid of some competition from me? You know you are. I can smell it from you."

Ric scowled at Scott, "Baldwin, the day I am afraid of you is the day that Alexis here finally does the world a favor and locks up my brother in a prison cell and throws away the key. Which means never. I will stomp on you like an ant."

    "Do you really think so?"

Alexis interrupted, "For God's sake you two, will you please put a sock in it. I would like to eat my lunch in peace and not have to hear you two debate on who's better."

Ric smiled, "That's exactly what we should do. Scott, we should have a televised debate to show the people of Port Charles who the best candidate is for mayor."

Scott leaned back in his chair and smiled confidently, "You got it. Name the time and the place and I will be there with bells on."

Ric grabbed his coat, "I'll get back to you."

Soon, TCOPC will be back on air. Hopefully. I am waiting for the fixing of my computer. I will also be cutting way back on writing for the next few months as I have licensing tests that I have to pass. Anything that I have written with a time limit has been pushed back. We will be pushing forward with the Mayoral Race, which will have a surprise or two, the Quartermaine story which is a huge umbrella story and the birth of Liz's baby which will be, if my computer is back, on Super Bowl Sunday. I have listened to the feedback of the viewers and am tailoring the stories to what you want to see. Let me know what you want to see.

Now that AJ is back, will Carly be far behind? She has been mentioned a few times, but what actress will play her? We have been in talks with Sarah Joy Brown to reprise the role, Tamara Braun and Gina Tognoni to play Carly.

Rumor has it that a face from the past will make a very surprising entrance at the victory party at whomever wins the Mayor's race. His or her enterance into the story will be a HUGE shock and will bring us back to the roots of the show. One hint...all is not what it seems in Port Charles.

John J York will be off the canvas for a short while for a much needed vacation. His character will enter rehab and stay in rehab.

Robin meets Brenda in the hospital cafeteria for a quick lunch. Brenda has brought James in to have a checkup and stopped by to see if Robin could spare some time for a quick lunch. Brenda is already sitting down when Robin approaches, "Hi Bren, what's going on?"

"Oh Robin, how are you? How's that handsome doctor of yours?" Brenda says, taking a sip of her coffee and bouncing James from one knee to the next.

"Patrick's great. He is in surgery right now. The house is almost all painted and we are moving in this weekend. I can't wait for you to come over and see it. We will be having a housewarming party soon. Guess what? Tiffany Hill will be there too" Robin took a bite of her sandwich. "I will be so happy to see her. Can I hold my godchild? I take it he is healthy?"

"100 percentile! Robin, you won't believe what I did." Brenda started.

Robin looked at Brenda and kissed James' head, "Oh Brenda! You slept with Sonny didn't you. I can see it all over your face. Why did you do that?"

Brenda sighed heavily, "He figured out about James. He told me to trust him so I did. I do trust him now, it's like this huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I told him everything, how Ned came to visit, how we slept together, everything. He completely understood. He wants me to get a lawyer, but I don't think so."

Robin shook her head, "I agree with you Brenda, there is no need to get lawyers involved. This is Ned we are talking about. He isn't going to do anything. Does Ned know that you told Sonny that he is the father?"

Brenda shook her head as they heard a glass fall to the ground and shatter. Behind them stood Lucy, who had obviously heard everything.

Alison was in the living room at Wyndemere playing with Cameron and Spencer when Emily walked in. "Hi Emily! You just missed Nikolas. I'm not sure where he went but he said he would be back in an hour or so. I think he did mention his mother. The number where he canbe reached if you can't reach his cell is on the desk."

"That's ok Alison." Emily sat down on the couch and looked down at Alison on the floor. "I actually came here to talk to you."

"To me? What for?" a surprised Alison said.

Emily leaned forward and picked up Spencer. "Well, you know I am not happy with the fact that Elizabeth is living here, but Nikolas is being stubborn and won't make her leave. I am asking that you watch Elizabeth and make sure that you know, nothing is happening between Nikolas and Elizabeth. And of course tell me everything that is going on here."

Alison leaned back on her hands and regarded Emily. After a minute of silence descended between them she spoke softly, "No Emily. Sorry, I won't do your dirty work. If you are having problems with Nikolas than you have to deal with them. I won't take part in your scheme."

"You like my brother don't you?" Emily stood up and started walking Spencer around the room as he was starting to fuss a little.

"You know I do Emily but that is not the point. The point is I will not spy on your fiance for you which is what you want me to do." Alison replied.

Emily continued to meander around the room, "Well my point is that Jason trusts me more than anyone. I have a lot of say with him. I can help your relationship with him or I can hurt it with just a few simple words."

Alison burst out laughing. "Are you for real? Emily, you have no idea what you are saying."

"I will even pay you for your services." Emily interjected.

Alison continued to laugh, "You, you make me sound like I am a whore. My services aren't for sale Emily." Alison said with scorn, "The fact of the matter is that I probably have more money than you anyways, I just choose not to access it. Now if you will excuse me, I need to feed Spencer and Cameron." With that, Alison grabbed Cameron's hand and took Spencer from Emily. She left behind a very upset and frustrated Emily.

Lulu and Dillion were up in her room at the Spencer house. Ever since that day at Kelly's they had been meeting secretly, mostly at Lulu's. They were on her bed kissing when they heard voices approach. "Quick, get under the bed!" Dillion rolled off the bed and under it just as Laura opened the door. With her was Tiffany.

"Hi honey, what was that noise?" Laura said.

A flushed Lulu answered, "Um, nothing. I uh, dropped a book, see?" Lulu held up one of her textbooks.

Laura walked closer, "Lulu, you are all flushed, are you getting a cold? This is the flu season and I don't want you getting sick." Laura felt her forehead, "No your forehead feels fine. But you aren't sick are you? Tiffany, she doesn't look sick to you does she?"

With a knowing glance at the open window, Tiffany said, "No, she looks fine, great in fact. Lulu, do you want to come downstairs for a while?"

"No," Lulu said, looking around nervously, "I have some studying to do."

Laura kissed her daughter's forehead, "Ok, honey. Nikolas is on his way here. In fact he should be here now. He wants to talk to you about something, I think Lucky. I will send him up when he gets here."

Lulu scrambled off her bed, "On second thought, I think I will go downstairs. I am kind of thirsty." With a glance behind her, Lulu closed the door.

Tiffany stayed back and whispered to Lulu, "I had a feeling you were going to say that. Next time, tell him to tuck his feet in. One foot was hanging out by the corner."

    Lulu gasped, "My mother."

    "She didn't see."

Bobbie got out of her car and opened up the Brownstone. Her shift was over and she was bone tired. It had been a long day in the OR. The phone rang and she grabbed in and barked a hello.

"Bobbie? It's Mac. I need your help."

Ned walked into Metro Court and walked across the lobby towards the elevators. He was whistling as he approached Lucy's penthouse. She had called him earlier and had invited him over for dinner. She said she was cooking but Ned found that hard to believe. He knocked on her door. He could hear her drop something and squeal and rush to the door. She opened the door and behind her he saw a smoldering roast. "Hi Lucy."

"Um Hi Ned. I was trying to cook a roast but well it didn't end so well." Lucy stood back, "Come in." She said. "Sorry I am a little frazzled."

"Lucy you have no reason to be frazzled. We have known each other forever. Why don't I order Chinese?" Ned said, loosening his tie and sitting down. He picked up his cell and ordered from a nearby restaurant.

"Ok. Do you want a drink?" Ned told Lucy what he wanted and she brought him his drink. " Thanks for ordering. How has your day been?"

Ned stretched his arm back over the couch, "Tiring. Grandfather has been after me about an ELQ deal that he wants completed and Tracy is after me about Brenda and James staying at the mansion. She wants them to leave and I keep saying no."

Lucy sat down and regarded him with narrowed eyes. "Why do you keep saying no? She's been back for a while and can certainly afford to live on her own. I used to pay her salary and I know her well. There is no way even Brenda could have gone through all the money I paid her."

"It's complicated Lucy." Ned sighed and scooted closer, "I appreciate you cooking dinner tonight." He said in an effort to change the subject. He looked deep in her eyes, "You have no idea what it feels like to have a beautiful, sexy, intelligent woman want to cook you dinner." He leaned in and kissed her. He put his hand in her hair and made love to her mouth, thouroughly kissing her over and over. His tongue carressed hers and he gently bit her lower lip. "Hmm, you taste good Lucy. Intoxicating."

The doorbell rang. The Chinese food was there. Lucy got up to get the food and Ned followed. After the delivery person left, Ned whispered, "Forget the food." He kissed her passionately and quickly pulled her panties down. Lucy's nimble fingers attacked the zipper of his pants and she moved to free him. He quickly entered her as they stood against the door. She moaned deeply and bit his neck as she came seconds before he did.

Lucy purred, "Well , I think we should go to the bedroom for a bit., don't you."

Ned picked up the food, "All right Lucy..."

Brenda looked up from the table into Sonny's eyes. "Yes, Ned is James' father." Brenda sighed. "Robin is the only other person that knows besides Ned. No one in his family knows."

Stunned to his core, Sonny stammered, "But how, when? I mean, are you and Ned?'

Brenda quickly shook her head, "No, no. We aren't involved. Never have been." Brenda took a gulp of her wine, "Look Sonny, can we go in the living room? I will tell you everything on the promise that you won't tell anyone! And I mean Jason as well."

Sonny held up his hand and stood up, grabbing his glass of wine in the process, "You have my word. I want you to know that you can trust me and I know that I have to earn your trust."

Brenda sat Indian style on the couch and started to speak. "Ned came over to visit me in Paris. He was lonely and so was I. He was having some problems with Lois and Brook Lynn and they had just left Port Charles again. He said that Lois was like a brand new person to him and he didn't even recognize her. Things at ELQ weren't going well and Tracy was driving him crazy. I had just broken up with a man named Phillipe a couple months earlier. I met Ned at the airport the first night he arrived and we went to dinner."

"Over many drinks and tears and commiserating, Ned ended up back at my apartment. We were two best friends who fell into bed together. it just happened. It was a few times and after a week he came back to Port Charles. A few weeks later, I realized I was late and called Ned. He immediately flew over and we discussed everything. Right from the start we both wanted this baby. Ned was adamant that his family not know that James is a Quartermaine. He cites himself, AJ, Jason, and Dillion and their rotten childhoods. He wants to be involved in James' life but he doesn't want everyone else to know. I agreed to that. I take no money from him. Ned was there when James was born and for a month straight afterward. We are not involved though since that one week."

Sonny sat back, stunned into silence. He just stared at Brenda for a few minutes and said quietly, "Thank you for telling me this and trusting me with this. You know I will not tell anyone." He took a drink, "You and Ned have no custody agreement?" When Brenda shook her head, he asked, "Why?"

"Ned is my best friend. He has always been there for me so we agreed that I would come back to live in the States and he would help raise him. If Ric finds out about this, I don't want him using it against me to hurt James."

"Brenda, do you really think that will happen? Honestly? You and Ned can work things out, I know you can. Ned isn't an ogre." Sonny paused, "But you should talk to a lawyer about the custody."

Brenda let her head fall forward and her hair fell over her face, "No I don't think it will come to that." She whipped her head back and her hair fell into place, "You know Sonny, it felt good confiding in you. I am at a place in my life where I know I can trust you. If this was ten years ago, things would be much different."

"I know." Sonny opened his arms and said, "Come here Brenda." Brenda slowly got up and walked over to stand in front of Sonny's chair. Sonny leaned back so that he was almost laying in the chair. He reached up behind Brenda and wedged her between his legs. She stood, locked between his legs as his eyes stared into hers. He slowly, sensually brought his hands to her sides and started to carress her. He reached under her shirt and teased her belly with his skilled fingers. Brenda's eyes closed as she gave into his touch. He released her breasts from the restraints of her bra and molded them in his hands, teasing her nipples so that they hardened in his hands. He released her breasts and his fingers trailed down her belly and to her panties. "Do you want me Brenda?" He lightly dragged his fingers over her pubis and whispered, "Tell me, do you want me?"

Brenda was shaking with desire and nodded. She positioned herself on top of him and kissed him deeply. Over and over she kissed him as desire for Sonny spread through her. She reached down and unbuttoned his shirt, kissing and nipping his chest. Unconsciously she had already started to ride him. "Don't rush this Brenda. I've been waiting forever to make love to you." Sonny breathed. Brenda moaned and greedily kissed him and felt his chest. She could feel his rock hard shaft digging into her thigh. "Sonny, I need you, I want you."

Sonny groaned and stood up, Brenda's legs wrapped around him. He brought her to the couch and he quickly stripped. She quickly disposed of her clothes and lay naked below him. She licked her fingers and reached for his shaft, feeling it harden even more in her hand. He leaned down and kissed her until she was breathless, then devoured her breasts with his mouth. She started to move under him with her need, "Come on Sonny, please." She demanded, "Make love to me."

Sonny didn't need to be asked again. He entered her swiftly and her hips rose up to meet him. They fell into the familiar rythm for the past. Brenda grasped his ass and arched her back, moaning as he thrust into her. Both broke into a sweat as they continued to make love. Sonny grabbed her and rolled her over so that she was on top. Never breaking her stride she continued to ride him hard. Sonny rolled her over on her back again and with three final thrusts, they came together with muffled screams.

Sonny reached over and gathered her in his arms. Still breathing heavy he said, "This is it Brenda. I want you in my life. I said it to you once before. You are like my drug, I can't get enough of you. I want us to try again."

Brenda snuggled against him, completely satisified, "I think we can work something out."

"Oh you think we can work something out do you?" Sonny said playfully, as he reached out to tickle her "I think we just did."

"Hmmmm, maybe I need a bit more convincing." Brenda smiled into his chest.

Sonny leaned down and kissed her soundly on the mouth, "I will give you paradise Brenda. Anything you want."

"Hmmm, that sounds good." Brenda stretched and kissed Sonny. "I have to go home though, it's getting late. Do you think we can see each other tomorrow?"

Sonny pulled Brenda closer, "Don't go just yet, I want to hold you some more. We will see each other tomorrow and the day after that and after that. I have some meetings but after that we can meet. I'll call you." He leaned over and kissed her as she snuggled closer. Soon they drifted off in a light sleep.

It was well after midnight when Brenda and Ned met at the door at the Quartermaines. Both were startled to see the other there. They looked at each other, opened their mouths and closed them quickly when Dillion approached. "Hey, what's going on?"

Ned answered, "Um, just coming home."

Brenda clammed up as well. "I was out as well. What about you Dillion? Isn't it kind of late for you?"

Ned turned to Dillion, "Yeah Dillion, it is rather late. Where were you?"

"Out with a friend." came Dillion's quick reply.

"Ahhhh, with a friend." said Brenda knowingly. "Well your secret is safe with us Dillion."

"Good afternoon this is Tiffany Hill reporting for CNN here in Port Charles, New York where last week, the mayor was found dead in the bathroom of the police station that is right behind me." Tiffany spoke professionally into the camera and continued on, "The Mayor suffered a fatal heart attack days after he was sworn back into office. Now word has come to us that there will be a press conference regarding the mayoral race. We understand from the District Attorney Alexis Davis that an election for mayor will be the first Tuesday in February." There was a commotion behind her as the doors to the police station opened and several people walked to the podium. "It looks like the press conference is starting now."

"Good afternoon." Ric started, "It is very unfortunate that we have lost Mayor Floyd in such a tragic manner. My heart goes out to his family, friends and collegues. I was lucky enough to work with him for a short while and it was a pleasure and an honor to work with him. That is why I am here to announce my candiacacy for mayor. In honor of our late Mayor. I will carry on where he left off as Mayor of this fine city. Port Charles, I ask for your support on election day!" Ric was met with snapping cameras and a smattering of applause.

"There you have it." Tiffany turned back to her camera, "Ric Lansing has announced his candiancy for Mayor of Port Charles. A town known for it's crime. Ric Lansing is the half brother of retired crime lord Sonny Corinithos." Tiffany stopped talking and looked behind her where a commotion had broken out. "Wait, there is something going on at the podium. It seems that there is a heckler. Let's tune in."

"Hey Lansing!" Scott Baldwin yelled to a smiling and confident Ric, "Do you really think you can win as mayor?"

"I think I have the qualifications, dedication and the leadership skills to clean up the city Mr Baldwin." Ric said smoothly. "Yes I think I can win as mayor and serve this city well."

Scott grinned back at him, "I object Counselor."

Ric tried hard not to let Scott ruffle his feathers. "Well Mr Baldwin, I am sorry you disagree. We will see what the voters will say on Election Day."

"I am curious Ric, on what platform are you running on? What are your ideas for the city?"

Ric leaned into the microphone, "I plan on getting rid of the crime in the city, on making sure that Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan are behind bars for a very long time."

Scott cut him off, "What about the benefits for the employees of the city? Or making sure that the teachers get pay raises? What about things like that. I think you are using this mayoral race as a platform for a vendetta against your brother."

"I categorically deny that!" Ric yelled heatedly. "That is simply not true, I want to serve this city."

Scott cut in like he hadn't heard Ric, "So I think I will run against you Lansing. May the best man win." He offered.

Tiffany looked back into the camera. "Wow. Scott Baldwin, former District Attorney of Port Charles has thrown his hat into the ring, running against Ric Lansing for mayor. I predict that this will be a heated race. Stay tuned to CNN for more regarding this story. This is Tiffany Hill, signing off."

Brenda knocked on Sonny's door later that evening. When he opened the door, she breezed in his penthouse. "Did you see Tiffany's press conference today? Ric is going to go after you. He is trying everything Sonny, even trying to get to you through me. I don't want to be involved in this, I have too much at stake."

Sonny looked at Brenda, happy that she came over. "Hey Bren. I know you are worried about Ric, but there is nothing to worry about. He's harmless."

Brenda raised her hand to her head, "How can you say that Sonny?" She closed her eyes and stepped from foot to foot in frustration, "I do not want Ric digging to deeply into my life. Because you and I used to be involved he thinks that I will be his ticket to bring you down. It's not going to happen."

"I know that Brenda." Sonny tried placating her, "I trust you not to say anything. You have to believe that."

"Do you think I care about whether you trust me or not? This is about my son. God Sonny, when are you going to realize that?" Brenda stamped her foot in frustration. "There are things you don't know about James that can't get out. If Ric were to find out he would hold it over my head."

Sonny wanted to comfort Brenda. He wanted to kiss all her troubles away. Instead he drew her in his arms and said, "I will talk to Ric. Jason and I will take care of it." He leaned back to look into Brenda's eyes. "You need to trust me on this."

"I have trusted you before and it has got me no where, Sonny. This isn't about me. James is my life and I love him with all my heart." Brenda told him sternly.

"I understand that Brenda. I love Michael and Morgan so much it hurts. It hurt so much to have them leave with Carly and Jax but they are better off with them."

"Jax yes, Carly no." Brenda cracked a smile.

Sonny smiled back, "Look, you are here now and I was about to have dinner. Why don't you join me? I could use the company. Jason was here but he left to go check on some things for me than he is spending some time with Alison."

Brenda answered, "Ok. James is down for the night. Thanks for letting me hire Leticia to be his nanny." Brenda followed Sonny into his dining room and sat down across from him. "James has really taken to her. She is helping me out a lot especially on the days that I have to go to the city."

Sonny handed her a plate of chicken parmesean and a glass of wine, "Good, good. Leticia has worked for me for so long that I didn't want her to be jobless. I have to ask you something though. Why are you so scared about James?"

Brenda sighed, "I don't want to lose custody."

    "Could you?"

"I am afraid so. James father knows everything about me and fiercly loves him." Brenda said desperately, "I can't lose him, I can't. I don't have a formal custody agreement."

"Who is his father Brenda?" Sonny asked quietly. When Brenda remained silent he said softly, "I know it's not me and I can only think of one other person who knows you as well as me and would agree to that kind of arrangement and that is Jax. If James is Jax' baby, Carly will come after you and make your life hell. She wants another child."

"The father is not Jax!" Brenda threw down her fork, "You have to trust me Sonny..."

Realization broke over Sonny's face. "Oh my God." Sonny looked shocked as he said, "James is Ned's, isn't he?"

Liz was at the Nurse's Station when Emily came up and handed her a chart. She ignored Elizabeth but Elizabeth asked, "Emily, do you think you and I could talk? I really think we need too."

Emily sighed and said cautiously ,"I have a few minutes before Nikolas gets here. Let's go over to the couch." She led the way and waited for a slow moving Elizabeth to catch up. With hostility in her voice, she asked, "What do you want?"

"I want us to get past this. Can you please just let this go and let Lucky and I deal with this? I need all the friends I can get and you are my best friend." Elizabeth asked.

"Well I can't get past this." Emily stated, "I am supposed to be your best friend and yet you don't confide in me? I don't think so Elizabeth. Why didn't you tell me about you and Jason. I do believe that it was only one time."

    "Thank you." Elizabeth said

"Not so fast." Emily held up her hand, "Only because Jason told me that it was only one time. He never lies. I can't trust you anymore."

Elizabeth turned her face away from Emily and shot back, "Trust me? What have I done to you specifically that caused you to distrust me?"

Emily looked at Elizabeth in disgust, "I came over last week and you were in Nikolas' arms and laughing and crying. So now you don't have a man because Lucky doesn't want you back. Jason has moved on with Alison. So you need a man and you thought you would go after mine. I mean Nikolas has a lot of money and you can't even pay your bills. I can imagine you have set him in your sights."

Elizabeth looked at Emily in astonishment, "Are you insane?"

"No I am not and I want you to move out of Wyndemere. If you do that, I will help you get Lucky back." Emily responded angrily.

"I can get Lucky back on my own, thank you very much." Elizabeth snapped, "You are irrational Emily, I have no idea what has gotten into you."

Nikolas walked up to them, sensing the anger and tension between the two of them. "Emily, Elizabeth, what's going on?"

Emily whipped around and faced Nikolas, "I want Elizabeth to move out of Wyndemere. It's way past time that she move out. I don't understand why she can't move into Kelly's or someplace like that."

Nikolas calmly said, "Emily, Kelly's is too small for Elizabeth and Cameron, plus a new child on the way. Elizabeth is going to stay where she is as long as she wants. Elizabeth do you want to stay?"

"Just until my grandmother is better, than I will move in with her." Elizabeth explained.

"In fact, I have hired a nanny. You both know her well. Alison Barrington is a certified child care specialist and has nannied before. I want her to care for Spencer and I thought since Elizabeth is staying with me, Alison could help with Cameron as well. Until you get on your feet Elizabeth." Nikolas told them.

Emily was outraged, "You did this without consulting me? I am your fiancee Nikolas. When did you stop realizing this, was it when you had Elizabeth in your arms the other day?"

"What are you talking about Emily?" Nikolas said.

"If you don't know what I am talking about, then I don't think you know me very well." With that, Emily stormed off.

Alexis and Robert met each other at the police station entrance at the same time. They had both been called by the mayor to come down to meet him. Robert held open the door for Alexis, "Hello Alexis, how are you today?"

"OK Commissioner. Do you know what this is about?" Alexis asked, glancing at her watch. "I jsut got out of court and I have to get back. I have no idea how long this will be, do you?"

Robert led the way into the detectives area, "Your guess is as good as mine."

Exasperated, Alexis shook her hair, "I just hope that whatever it is it will be quick. I don't want to keep the judge waiting." She looked around the room. "Wonderful, he isn't even here."

Robert perched himself on Lucky Spencer's desk, "Young Spencer, do you know where the fine mayor is?"

Lucky looked around the room, irritated. "No Commissioner, I don't. Taggert! Do you know where the mayor is?"

Taggert looked up from the file he was working on. "I saw him go into the bathroom a couple minutes ago." He said nonchalantly.

Robert's cell phone rang. He unfolded it and barked a hello. He listened intently and his shoulders slumped. "Ok, thanks for calling." Alexis walked over. "Robert, what's going on?"

"It's Mac. He left rehab. No one knows where he is. The police are looking for him. I am going up there after this meeting and helping out, probably grab Luke as well to come help me find him. I have to call Robin and tell her." Robert said dejecetedly. "I just can't believe that Mac is behaving like this. Twenty years ago I would see this, but not now." He walked away from Alexis to call Robin.

Alexis glanced at her watch and walked up to Taggert, "Taggert, can you check the men's room for the mayor? Make sure he's ok?"

Taggert got up and shuffled across the room. When he reached the men's room, he pushed the door open. "Oh my God." He said. He fell to his knees and screamed, "Someone call the paramedics, the mayor isn't breathing!" Taggert started preforming CPR on the mayor.

Alexis and Robert came running and stood behind Taggert. "Oh dear God, he's dead." Alexis said.

Robert takes a sip from his beer. He's at Luke's Club and enjoying an evening talking with Luke. He said to Luke, "Yes your sister did a number on my brother. Kind of like one of those intervention things. He's in a rehab center now and got settled in."

"I am glad to that he is there Scorpio. He has just been a wreck since Flea and Maxie died. Sometimes life deals you a raw hand." Luke commented, popping a peanut in his mouth.

"Tell me about it. I will be lucky if Robin invites me to her housewarming. Can you believe that my little girl is all grown up and is living with a guy." Robert shook his head, "I don't think I like this."

Luke gave him another beer, "What Scorpio, you don't like the young Dr. Drake?"

Robert smiled, "He's too much like me. I don't want to think of my innocent little girl cohabitating with another man. It's just too much."

"I hate to break it to you pal," Luke smiled and pushed off the bar, "Robin gave up her innocence a long time ago."

Robert reached in the peanut bowl and threw a handful in Luke's direction, "Oh you bastard! Watch out for that young filly of yours. I can't wait for the day you come crying to me about her lost innocence. If it isn't already lost."

"Look pal, my Lulu is virtue personified. She is perfect." Luke started.

"She is a Spencer through and through." Robert interupted spiritedly. Just then the door opened and Alexis and Scott walked in together.

"Evening Baldwin. I see you ran into Natasha here. Natasha are you meeting Nikolas here or someone." Luke smiled at Alexis. "I know you have better taste than to be here with Baldwin."

Alexis hung up her coat, "Actually Luke, I am here with Scott."

Luke's jaw fell to the floor, "Are you kidding? Did you lose a bet or something? Sell your soul to the devil?"

Scott looked at Luke with contempt, "Oh shove it Spencer where the sun don't shine. I knew we shouldn't have come here Alexis. This man only knows how to bring grief. Let's go somewhere else."

Luke held up his hands, "I promise, I will be good." He indicated a table in the corner, "Why don't you two sit there so Robert and I can spy on your, I guess we can call it a date? Is that right Baldwin?"

Alexis looked pained, "Oh dear God."

"That's right Spencer. Alexis and I have common interests and you know, when two people have common interests they tend to do things like have dinner or drinks." Scott's hands waved expansively through the air.

Luke looked at Alexis in amusment, "Natasha, what do you have to say about this?"

Alexis walked over and grabbed the menus, "Shut up Luke. And bring me a gin and tonic."She paused, "No better make that a whiskey sour." Again she paused. "No,I don't want to be dancing on the tables so you better bring me a vodka on the rocks. Yes that's what I will have."

Scott looked at Luke, "I will have the same." Scott led Alexis to her table and pulled out her chair. "May I say you look lovely tonight?"

Alexis looked at Scott shrewdly, "I have to wonder Scott, what is your agenda? What do you want with me?

"I have to have a reason to take out a beautiful, intelligent woman like yourself? I didn't know there was a reason I couldn't." He leaned forward, "Look counselor, I happen to like your company. You are interesting and I am glad you came here to have drinks with me. It's a start."

"I was hesitant to come out tonight." Alexis confessed.

    "Why?"

"Look what my last relationship brought me. It certainly made me more neurotic which I don't need to be." Alexis said as Luke brought over the drinks. "Thanks Luke."

    "My pleasure Natasha."

Scott leaned back and grinned, sipping his drink, "Counselor, I just want to go to dinner with you some times. Maybe catch a movie or something. You know, what two normal consenting adults do. No strings attached. I like you. I think you like me. We will just go from there."

Alexis said in an exasperated tone, "Why am I going to regret this?" Her attention was diverted by Tracy Quartermaine who had just entered Luke's club.

Tracy walked purposefully up to the bar. Taking off her cashmere scarf and gloves, then her fur coat she asked Luke, "Have you seen my son Ned? I am supposed to meet him here and I think I am a little late."

Robert turned around and faced her, his familiar smirk on his face, "I sent him home Tracy because I have been here waiting for you to arrive. Once he said he was waiting for you I told him you left to go back to the mansion." He took a gulp from his beer and with a twinkle in his eye he said, "Hope you don't mind Tracy."

Tracy turned on him like a tiger going after it's prey, "You did what?" Anger was pouring out of her, "How could you do that Scorpio? I should have you reported to the mayor for how you treated me the other night."

Robert turned to Luke, "Oh yes, I forgot to tell you how everywhere I turn, this one is throwing herself at my feet. Literally. I walk into the Quartermaines and she is on the ground in front of me."

Luke was amused, "You don't say Scorpio."

Tracy brought herself up with all the dignity that she could muster, "I fell down the stairs."

"Common thing in your house. Good thing no one is pregnant in the ole mansion." Luke commented.

"Oh do shut up." Tracy said. "Did you really tell Ned to go home. I really wanted to spend some time with him."

With a wicked grin Robert said, "That I did. Because I really wanted to spend time with you."

Tracy slapped her gloves on the bar, an amused Luke looking on, "That's it! I am calling the mayor and having you thrown off the force, You do not deserve to be protecting the citizens of Port Charles..."

The door opened and Ned breezed in, "Mother I am so sorry I am late. I tried calling you but your phone is off." Ned kissed Tracy on the cheek, "Let's go sit down." Ned led her to a table near Alexis and Scott and the two sat down.

Luke burst out laughing, "Scorpio, what kind of game are you playing?"

"Oh Ms. Quartermaine is attracted to me. You will see. I will have her mate."

Luke leaned forward, "Care to make a wager on that?"

"You are on. If I get the fair Ms Quartermaine to date me, then you give me one thousand dollars. If I fail by March 1st, I give you the thousand.." Robert grinned.

Luke contemplated him, "You are serious pal. You are on."

There was a knock on the door of Carly's suite. For the first time since she arrived at Metro Court she was alone. Bobbie and Lulu, who were helping her get dressed had left so they could get dressed. Carly already had her hair done and makeup completed was just waiting for help slipping into her dress. She was wearing a silk bathrobe when she answered the door, "Oh, Sonny. Um, come in." She motioned him in.

Michael and Morgan barrelled in to hug their mother. "I came to drop the kids off. Thank you for letting me spend last night with them. I completely understand that you need to go take care of Jax' mother."

Carly closed the door behind him and said, "I'm glad you understand. I don't know how long it will be before we come back to Port Charles. I want you to know that you can definetly come to Austrailia at any time to visit the boys. Just call me and let me know." She glanced behind her, "Hey boys, be careful for Mommy's dress. Remember you have to get dressed up in suits today."

Morgan piped up, "Daddy said we will look like penguins."

Carly's laughter bubbled over, "You didn't." she commented to Sonny,

Sonny shrugged, "It's true. And only you Carly would have Jason as your Best man. Who will be Jax'?"

    "He asked Ned."

Sonny reached into his pocket and pulled out a gift wrapped box. He handed it to Carly, "I have something for you. This is to remind you of all the good times we had. Hopefully not the bad. When I saw it, I knew it was perfect for you. So consider it a wedding gift. That and the fact that I will stay away for the day. Because even though you are happy, I really don't want you to be happy with Jax."

Carly accepted it and responded, "Thank you Sonny. I want you to be happy but I sure as hell don't want you to be happy with Brenda." She started to open her gift and gasped when she saw it. It was a solid gold panther pin with a ruby eye. "Oh Wow Sonny, this is amazing. I can't accept this. It's too much."

"Yes you can Carly. Remember that you always hold a place in my heart. I will always love you for giving me my sons." He leaned over and kissed her softly. "Goodbye Carly."

The Wedding March was playing and Jax was standing at the altar, Ned next to him. Across from him was Jason and Lulu. The air was perfumed with the heady scent of red and white roses. White and red candles were lit throughout Metro Court. Waiting for the wedding to begin were Luke, Laura, Lucky and Nikolas. Carly and Jax wanted a small wedding and they got it.

Bobbie adjusted the pearls that were entwined in Carly's hair. "You look beautiful Carly. I am so very proud of you. I want you to wear have these pearls. Ruby gave them to me and I want to give them to you. I love you Carly."

Carly wiped the tears from her eyes, "Oh Bobbie, thank you so much." She lifted her hair and Bobbie clasped the pearls around her neck. "We better start." Michael and Morgan preceded them down the aisle, breaking into a run. Carly laughed and the two of them walked down the aisle.

Jax' caught his breath when he saw Carly and Bobbie walk down the aisle towards him. He had never seen her look more beautiful in her strapless white dress with the fur cape. She had pearls in her hair and a trembling smile on her face. Bobbie kissed Carly and handed Carly over to Jax. "You are beautiful Carly and you make me so happy." Jax said.

The pastor started the ceremony, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join together in holy matrimony Jasper Jax and Caroline Benson. It is my understanding that the couple have written their own vows. Jasper, please begin."

Jax took Carly's hand as she passed her bouquet of red and white roses to Jason. "Carly, the moment you entered my life you turned it upside down. You brought the adventure and the fun back in my life. You brought the love back into my life. Sunlight came into my life when we realized our love for each other. I love Michael and Morgan like my own sons. I can't imagine what my life would be like without you in and I am honored that you want to be my wife.

Carly's nostrils flared as she choked back tears. "Jax you are the light in my life as well. You are such a good man and I am so honored and happy that you want me in your life. You make me feel good about myself, flaws and all. We all know I have flaws." Laughter broke out amongst the guests, "But you love me for me. That's all I want for the rest of my life is for you to love me."

The pastor cleared his throat, "Jasper, do you take Caroline to be your lawful wedded wife?"

"I do." Jax' voice rang out strong and clear

"And Caroline, do you take Jasper to be your lawful wedded husband?"

"I do." Carly said, tears threatening.

The pastor smiled, "I now pronounce you, husband and wife. Jasper, you may kiss your bride." Jax leaned down and kissed Carly and they both broke into laughter as their guests cheered them on. The Spencer clan gathered around them and hugs were going around. Champagne was poured and everyone had a glass.

"May I propose a toast?" Luke raised his voice. He waited until everyone quieted down, "I remember when I discovered that Caroline was a Spencer and by God, she has proven time and time again that she has true Spencer genes. Jax, I hope you know what you have gotten yourself into by joining into this clan. I propose this toast to your health, wealth which Jax, you can always share with your new relatives and happiness. Cheers!" Everyone smiled while Jax and Carly kissed.

Jax then led Carly out to the makeshift dance floor so that they could dance their first dance as husband and wife. The song they chose was "Here and Now", by Luther Vandross. They kissed often to the delight of their guests. Jax then danced with Bobbie and Carly danced with Jason.

"Jason, thank you for being the best friend I could every have. You have been there for me through everything." Carly confessed, "And I love you for that. You have always been my rock."

Jason hugged her tigher, "You know I love you too. You have always been there for me and in my own way, I will miss you too."

    "I will miss you too."

Jax came up to Carly and Jason. "Honey, we have to go in order to make our plane."

Carly disengaged herself from Jason." Ok." Jax addressed everyone,"Thank you so much for coming and helping us celebrate, but we have to leave now. We will be back after Lady Jane is on her feet."

Carly echoed him. "Thank you everyone....I love you all!" With that, Jax and Carly along with Michael and Morgan left Port Charles.

Carly was at the Brownstone with Bobbie going over last minute details with her regarding the wedding. The wedding was in two days and Carly had never been so excited. Her dress was finished. Carly decided to go somewhat traditional with this dress. It was strapless with pearls encrusted on the bodice and she had a white fur cape to go over it. Yes, Carly was wearing white. It was her wedding and she was doing what she wanted. Jason was wearing a tux and Lulu was wearing a black dress. The flowers were ordered, music was ready and the cake all set. Carly was content.

Carly looked up when she heard someone walk in the door. It was Jax and she flew over to greet him, kissing him hello. He wasn't as responsive as he normally was, "Jax, what's wrong?"

Jax sighed heavily and sat down, "Carly, it's Lady Jane. She is very sick."

Carly's hand flew to her mouth and she gasped, "No! What's wrong?"

"She had a stroke. Jerry is with her and she is very ill." Jax looked pained, "I can't believe this, not my mother."

"Well we have to go to her. There is no question of that." Carly stated matter of factly. "We can leave tonight. We have to get to her as soon as possible."

Jax grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips, "We have a wedding to go to, remember."

"To hell with the wedding. This is your mother." Carly stated emphatically.

"I have a compromise, because I really want to marry you Carly." Jax looked at her earnestly, "Let's get married tomorrow morning and leave in the afternoon. I have to tell you, Lady Jane is going to need care. Do you mind being away from Port Charles for that long? Do you think Sonny will mind if we bring the boys?"

Carly shook her head, eyes shining. "I will call Sonny and clear everything with him. I am sure he will be ok with everything. I will tell him that he can come over anytime he wants to to visit. He has the boys now and he can keep them until tomorrow."

Jax stood up, "This means so much to me that you are willing to come to Australia with me. I love you so much Carly."

Carly wiped her eyes, "Well, let's get cracking. We have a lot of phone calls to make."

Brenda was drinking coffee in Kelly's, James next to her in his stroller when the door opened Ric Lansing walked in. She had never met him, but knew his reputation. He did a double take, he knew exactly who she was. He walked to the counter, got a cup of coffee and came back, sitting across from her. "I don't believe we have met. I am Ric Lansing."

    "Brenda Barrett." she responded coolly.

Ric smoothed down his suit jacket, "How are you today?"

Brenda flipped her hair back and regarded Ric cautiously, "I am fine. Is there something I can do for you?"

"Glad that you asked. I am sure you are aware of my relationship with Sonny Corinitos."

"What does Sonny have to do with you?" Brenda asked warily.

Ric calmly stated, "He is my brother and I know you are his lover of the moment."

Brenda burst out laughing, "Am I now?" She looked at James who was starting to wake up, "Sorry pal, you have the wrong girl."

"My sources have seen you two out around town." Ric responded.

Brenda smiled sweetly, "A dinner doesn't mean we are sleeping together, does it? I mean, you and I are sharing coffee and no one is accusing us of hitting the sheets are they?"

"Ms. Barrett you know what I mean." Ric looked at her as he sipped his coffee.

Brenda grew impatient and sighed, "What do you want from me?"

"I want you to get me any information that you have on my brother regarding his mob activities, present and the past. I believe you know a lot and can put him away. He is a criminal." Ric started saying heatedly.

Brenda stood up and put her jacket on, also securing James in with a warm blanket. "Mr Lansing, you have the wrong girl. I will not do your dirty work for you. In fact, I suggest you leave Sonny alone. Now if you excuse me, I have to get my son home."

"You will regret this Brenda!" Ric called out.

"Doubt it!" Brenda manuevered her way out of Kelly's and reached for her cell phone. She dialed, "Sonny, you were right. Ric did try to get me to spill about us." She paused. "Of course I didn't say anything. I was just telling you. Bye." With that, Brenda and James walked to the Quartermaine mansion.

Patrick and Robin open their new house and walk around. Before they move in, they wanted to paint the rooms and do everything right. They had been to Wyndhams earlier to pick out furniture and to Home Depot to pick out paint swatches. Robin twirled around in the foyer of the house, very happy. "Oh Patrick, I love it. This is such a wonderful gift. I can't believe you surprised me like this."

Patrick picked her up and twirled her around, kissing her soundly. "Anything for you. You have made me life so happy. I had been going from one woman to another before I met you." Patrick kissed her again, "You have taught me how to love again."

Robin smiled and kissed him again, "You have taught me to love again as well and not to take life so serious." She slid down his body and walked through the rooms with the swatches. "So what do you think of these colors? I like yellow for the kitchen, it's just a matter of shade. What do you think?"

"I think I will let you choose the colors. This is your department babe," Patrick smiled.

"I also think a light sage green will match the green couch we got and the creme colored chairs for the living rooms. With the rug and the hardwood floors it will look good. For our bedroom, I think a light maroon to match the bedspread. What to you think?" Robin continued.

"Speaking of bedrooms," Patrick grabbed her hand and led her towards the stairs, "I want to go take a look again. I am forgetting what it looks like."

Robin willingly followed along, "You forget a bedroom? That will be the day." She walked behind him and followed him into the large master bedroom with the soft, thick rug.

Patrick pulls Robin into the bedroom and kisses her. He playfully protests and swats his arm. "Patrick, we have to pick the colors." Patrick tightens his arms around her and kisses her thouroughly. "Patrick!" She feebly protests.

"What?" Patrick said, leaning down to unbutton her shirt. Her cupped her breast and kissed the top of her breast. He popped her breast out of her bra so he could suck on her nipple. "I like this color Robin. It's the perfect shade of pink for this room, it will match perfectly."

"Hmmmm." Robin's eyes were glazed over as she gave in to his caresses. Her hands moved slowly over his chest and she pulled him down onto the rug. They quickly got rid of their clothes and started to devour each other. Patrick rolled over on his back, put a condom on and lifted Robin up by her hips so that she could manuever herself on his shaft. She started moving up and down and clutched him inside her. His hands rubbed her nipples until they raised up into tight buds in his hands. Both of them gasped and moaned with each movement. She arched her back and her hair fell down her back as she rode him hard. Faster and faster she rode until they both came together. Robin slumped down on Patrick's chest, completely satisfied, "Oh Patrick, that was so good."

"Well, now we can cross off christening this place off of things we have to do the first day." Patrick drawled. He laughed and Robin joined in, kissing him soundly. Patrick wrapped his arms around Robin and whispered, "I love you.

    "I love you too."

'What in the dang nabbit is that noise?" Edward yelled at the top of the stairs as the security alarm went off. "For God's sake, someone turn that off!"

Tracy joined her father at the stairs and peered down into the darkness. "Is Brenda here? Maybe her loser boyfriend is trying to break in."

Edward whipped around, "You don't think that scoundrel Corinithos would break in here, would you?"

"For Heaven's sake Father," Alan said, tying his bathrobe, "I am sure the alarm can be explained. See, there goes the phone. Who knows the code? I can't remember it. Monica, do you know it?"

Monica yawned, "No, when the mansion was given to me, I wasn't given the alarm code. This is the first time it's gone off." The four of them looked at each other. "Well, is someone going to get the phone?" An exasperated Monica exclaimed.

"As you constantly remind us, this house is yours. You get the phone. Now that I am awake, I may have a drink." Tracy said, sweeping past everyone.

Edward tried to stop her as Monica went to answer the phone, "Tracy are you crazy? We could have burgulars in here." Edward yelled at Monica, "Tell them we want Commissioner Scorpio here on the double. We will wait right here. Where are Ned and Brenda anyway."

"The baby was crying. I saw Ned go in Brenda's room. The commissioner is on his way." Monica stated. "And Edward is right, we shouldn't go anywhere because God knows with us, if we try to go downstairs one of us will fall down the stairs."

There was a noise below them and a light went on. Dillion was standing there, having come in through the French doors. "What is going on?" he cried. "I was taking a walk outside and heard noises. The whole neighborhood could hear."

Tracy looked at Edward, "We have neighbors?"

"The alarm is going off. The police are on their way." Alan bellowed over the noise. "No one knows the code."

Dillion walked up to the alarm and punched some numbers in, silencing the alarm. "Finally!" Tracy said, beginning to walk down the stairs. Unfortuately, Edward had also started down the stairs and stepped on the back of her bathrobe. Tracy slipped a couple stairs and fell on her butt. There was a pounding on the door and Dillion opened it. In front of him was Robert, who was staring at Tracy. Her legs were going in two different directions and she looked like she was about to slide down the stairs.

"Well, it's not the first time a woman has thrown herself at my feet, but the first time a Quartermaine has. What seems to be the trouble here? I understand your burglar alarm was going off?" Robert smirked.

Edward helped Tracy get up and Edward, Tracy, Alan and Monica walked down the stairs. "Where is the commissioner? I specifically asked for him, not his scoundrel of a brother." Edward blustered.

"Ah, but I am the commissioner. My brother is taking a vacation."

    Monica smiled compassionately, "Understandable."

Robert grinned, "My officers are looking around the estate right now. Is it all right if they check out the rooms in case someone did break in? Tracy, do you want me to check out your room? I will be happy to do so."

"Go to hell." Tracy said, sipping her gin.

After a few minutes, Taggert came in and reported that it was just a misfire in the system, that everything on the grounds and in the mansion were secure. "Edward, we will post someone here for the night to watch out, just in case." Robert told the Quartermaine patriarch.

"Good, good. Thank you Scorpio." Edward said, turning to go back upstairs, Alan and Monica following.

"Like I said Tracy, my offer still is open. I will gladly watch your room." Robert glanced at her and smiled sideways.

Tracy walked up to him and threw her gin in his face.

We are going to begin the long awaited Quartermaine crisis story. It is the umbrella story that will bring together a lot of storylines and see people interact. The last several episodes have been a result of setting that up. There wil be a All My Children crossover. Expect to see David Canary (Adam Chandler), Vincent I (Dr. David Hayward )and Robin Christopher (Skye Chandler Quartermaine) on the canvas ranging from one episode to several. It will also facillitate the coming home of AJ Quartermaine and Sarah Webber.

One of the Quartermaines will be going through a severe health crisis, one that is close to home to me. My father went through the same thing but the results will be different. I am writing this so that the Quartermaines will rightfully have a story for themselves and everyone involved will have their place to shine. Look for the beginning of this story to start in episode 33, hopefully posted later today.

We are also in talks to bring a recently released actress back to the canvas. If we can't have her, we will recast.

Ned and Brenda are in the living room, watching James play with his new Christmas toys. James was fascinated by everything. He looked a lot like Ned with the blue eyes and the dimples. Ned and Brenda had no formal agreement, just their friendship regarding the custody of James. Today, Ned was telling Brenda about his night of passion with Lucy. "Three times Brenda! That woman is a tigress! I have the scars to prove it."

Brenda laughed joyously. If there was one thing she could never see, it was Ned and Lucy, "Did she leave scratches?"

Ned lifted his shirt up, "Take a look." Brenda saw several long scratches that Lucy had left. "Oh my God." Brenda raised her hand to her mouth, "This is funny."

"She practically attacked me. I swear it's because she saw Scott Baldwin with Alexis. But that's ok, I reaped the benefits." Ned smiled down at James.

Brenda laughed out loud, "Are you going to see her again?"

Ned shrugged his shoulders, "I don't see why not. Lucy's fun. I like her and she's undemanding." Brenda and Ned were interuppted by Alice who announced the arrival of Jax. "Brenda, want me to stay?"

Brenda hung her face into her hands, "Arrgghh, yeah you better go.. He will just tell me that I shouldn't see Sonny. Although he should talk, he's marrying Carly."

"That I am Brenda." Jax strode into the room, "How are you Ned?"

"I am good. I will leave you two to talk. Jax, I will talk to you soon." With that, Ned left the room.

Brenda leaned down and picked up James. She kissed him on the head and asked, "Hi Jax, How are you?"

"I am doing well. I came here to talk to you about my impending marriage. I wanted you to hear this from me." Jax sat down across from her and smiled at James, tickling his stomach.

Brenda studied Jax, "Ok, what's going on Jax? You're scaring me."

"No, no, no. No mean to scare you." Jax reassured, "I just want you to know that Carly and I are getting married in a few days. With our past history, I thought you should hear it from me."

"I appreciate it Jax though there is no reason for you to explain yourself." Brenda said, "Mind if I ask if you know what you are doing in marrying Carly?"

Jax grinned at Brenda, "Mind if I ask what you are doing with Sonny again."

"Touche" Brenda smiled back, "However, I am not "with"him nor do I plan on marrying him. He has hurt me far too many times in the past. But Jax, whatever makes you happy, will make me happy. I just don't have to like it."

Jax stood up and Brenda stood up with him. "Brenda, always remember that I want the best for you." He leaned down to give her a kiss on the cheek. She turned so he captured her lips and she kissed him sweetly.

"That's for you to remember me by."

Bobbie let herself into the Scorpio house and called out for Mac. She searched in every room and finally found him sitting on his unmade bed staring at his wedding picture of him and Felicia. Tears were coming slowly out of his eyes and he made no effort to wipe them away. "Mac!" Bobbie said sternly. He ignored him and she spoke louder, "Mac! I know you can hear me and I won't go away."

Mac turned around and groaned, "What do you want Bobbie?"

"I want to know what the hell you are doing with your life. Mac, it's been over a month since Felicia and Maxie have died. You need to pull yourself together."

"I don't want to hear this Bobbie. Leave me alone." Mac said, turning away from her.

Bobbie walked around and faced him. She slapped him across the face and said, "Mac, you owe this to me to listen to me!"

Rubbing his cheek he mumbled, "Owe it to you? How do I owe it to you? You didn't lose your wife and daughter did you?"

"Oh don't even go there with me. I have lost just as many loved ones as you. So stop with the pity party! I want you to listen to me because for God's sake Mac, you owe me this." Bobbie said calmly but sternly.

"I still don't know how I owe this to you. Will you please get the hell out of my house!" Mac yelled.

Bobbie sat down and looked into Mac's sad eyes, "You WILL listen to me because if it wasn't for me and Tony, you wouldn't have had Maxie for the time you had her. May I remind you that my daughter's heart beat in her chest?" Bobbie waited a second for that to sink in. When she spoke again, she had to choke back tears. "I wish I could have had even one more day with BJ and you got so much more. I don't begrudge you that. BJ saved Maxie's life and you and Felicia got a wonderful gift. Do you think Felicia is proud of you right now?" Mac didn't say anything. "Do you?"

    Mac mumbled, "No."

Bobbie continued, "So now you need to get yourself together. Stop the drinking Mac. You have lost your job. Frankly Mac, you look like awful and when was the last time that the sheets on this bed were cleaned? What about your clothes, when was the last time you took a shower or shaved?" Mac didn't say anything and Bobbie pressed on "You need to do it for the people you left behind. Georgie is a mess, have you even noticed her lately? She is going to come stay with me at the brownstone. But you need to get yourself together for Felicia and for Maxie. And for BJ. If it wasn't for BJ, you would have lost Maxie a long time ago."

"Thanks for the guilt trip Bobbie." Mac stated blankly.

"Georgie needs you! You need to go to rehab and get yourself better! You need to do this for Felicia, Georgie, Maxie and BJ. You owe it to us." Bobbie leaned back and hugged Mac. "We all love you and are concerned for you. We want you to get better. There is a place in a rehab center that you can enter tonight. DO you know that we love you? Please Mac, please."

For a long time Mac stared at the floor. Then he looked up with tears in his eyes. "I don't want to but I will do it."

Bobbie got up and walked out. Outside stood Robert and Robin. "He's going tonight."

Robert looked at Bobbie, "Thank you."

    "You're welcome."

It was a couple days after Christmas and the decorations were still up at Wyndemere. Lucky had just gotten off his shift at the PCPD. Talking to his mother had made him realize that he should make a step towards reconciling with Liz. He decided to go over and see if she would talk to him. He really wouldn't blame her if she didn't.

When he arrived, the first person he saw was Nikolas. "Hi Nikolas. How is Spencer?"

Nikolas looked up from his desk, "He's good Lucky. What's going on? Is Laura all right?"

"Mom is fine. I was wondering if Liz was arouind. I want to talk to her." Lucky shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other.

Nikolas sighed and laid down his pen, "She's taking a nap Lucky. You're not here to start a fight are you?" He glanced warily at his brother, "Because she is getting enough grief from Emily as it is. It can't be good for the baby. Frankly Lucky, I am worried about her."

Lucky felt the anger grow inside of him, "Who are you to judge me Nikolas? I just want to talk to her. Jesus Nikolas, she's my wife and I just want to talk to her. Last time I checked, there was no crime in that."

Elizabeth waddled into the room. She looked from one brother to the other, "What's going on here?"

Nikolas looked at Lucky, "Lucky wants to talk to you. You don't have too you know."

Elizabeth's heart leaped. Hopefully Lucky will take her and Cameron back, "It's ok Nikolas. I want to talk to him."

Nikolas walked out of the room as Lucky and Liz sat down on the couch. "Lucky, how are you? I am so happy to see you. I am so glad you came." Liz gushed, happiness oozing out of her pores.

"I am all right Liz" Lucky looked at her swollen belly, knowing that the child in there was not his. "How is the baby?"

    "Fine."

"Good." He stopped and started again, "You know, I thought I could do this Liz. I really did. But looking at you reminds me of your betrayal. I just can't get over the fact that you had sex with Jason." He looked away from her and focused on a picture of he, Liz, Nikolas and Emily. "Seriously Liz, do you honestly expect me to think you only had sex with him once?"

Elizabeth laid a hand on his knee and spoke gently, "Yes Lucky, it was one time. Ask Jason, he will tell you the same thing. He was upset about Sam and I had just caught you with Maxie. Do you know how that killed me? Walking in and seeing her holding on to you? I am sorry that she killed herself, I am."

"I have to question that Liz." Lucky shifted and faced her.

Liz felt like he punched her, "I can't believe you would say that about me. I am your wife. Don't you know me better than that?"

Lucky stood up, "I thought I did, then I found out you slept with Jason. Look this was a bad idea. I'll get in touch with you later, when I am better. I don't want to get you too stressed." With that he walked out of the room. To Elizabeth, it felt like he was walking out of her life forever. She threw herself facedown on the couch and broke out into sobs.

Nikolas walked in and saw Elizabeth crying. He was angry that Lucky got her so upset. He gathered her in his arms and soothed her. He pushed her hair back and tried to make her smile. Finally she started to smile and to laugh.

Neither one noticed Emily at the entrance of the living room. She turned and fled.

Scott walked into the courthouse with an agenda. He was on a mission and that mission was Alexis Davis. He reached her office and walked past her protesting assistant. Alexis was sitting at her desk, going over a deposition. Scott closed the door behind him. "Counselor. You are looking lovely today."

Alexis took off her glasses and responded, "Scott. What do I owe this pleasure? Have you committed any crimes and want to turn yourself in?"

"No Alexis," He walked over and sat down across from her, "You don't mind do you?"

Amused, Alexis said, "Oh please do."

"Well counselor, I was wondering if we could, you know, have a meeting of the minds you could say." Scott waved his hands as he spoke, "Perhaps over dinner. You dress up, I dress up, we go to a nice place and have something good to eat."

"You are asking me out?" Alexis asked, astonished. "Who put you up to this? Sonny? Someone must have." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion.

Scott leaned back and grinned sardonically, "Now why would you think something like that counselor?"

Alexis also leaned back and smiled, waving her pen, "Oh I don't now. To get a good laugh at my expense. So Mr Baldwin, I will pass on this charming invitation. But thank you, I have, and pardon the pun, enough on my plate."

"You have to eat counselor. I won't leave until I get the answer I want." Scott grinned. "Trust me, I won't leave."

"Well then you will be here a long time." Alexis put her glasses back on and continued working. Five minutes stretched to ten and Scott was still there. "Oh for God's sake Scott. You are still here? What do you want?"

"All I ask is dinner. Come on, it'll be fun."

Alexis sighed in exasperation. "Will it get you out of my office?" Scott nodded. "Then fine. Dinner it is."

"Perfect. Now you have to tell me when." Scott decreed.

Alexis whipped off her glasses and glanced at her daily planner, "Honestly Scott, this week is booked. It will have to be next week. I am in court most of the week."

Scott headed for the door, "I'll call ya."

Sarcastically Alexis called, "Oh. Please. Do."

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas....

All around Port Charles, families and friends gathered to celebrate Christmas.

~Patrick picked up Robin and took her for a ride. He stopped in front of a new house with a sold sign in front of it. She looked at him questioningly. He informed her that this was her Christmas gift, provided he accept him with it. Filled with joy, she hugged and kissed him. Patrick had a key and the two of them walked through the white clapboard house with the farmer's porch. There were black shutters and a white picket fence. The house had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen. There was a dining room and den. Robin raised her lips and sweetly kissed Patrick, swearing her love for him.

~Ric was with Molly at Metro Court for Christmas brunch. He looked across the room at the families dining together and wondered where he went wrong. At least he had Molly for the day.

~Nikolas, Emily and Elizabeth were having an uncomfortable Christmas together. For the children, they were trying to keep their spirits up and Emily and Elizabeth were trying not to let their animosity show. The living room was filled with toys and unwrapped paper as Cameron went from toy to toy.

~Jason and Alison were in Jason's king size bed, lazily passing the morning. Having already made love twice, they were now wrestling and laughing together. Jason hadn't been this happy since Sam died. Alison was bringing a new light for him and she actually made him laugh.

~At the Corinthos household, Sonny, Alexis, Carly and Jax had gathered so that their collective brood of children could be together. They opened up their gifts and the adults had mimosas and cheese. They were going to have a large dinner later, when Molly came home. Sonny and Jax had tried to outdo the other in the best gift department and the children were reaping the benefits. Michael, Morgan and Kristina had more gifts than imaginable. Jax stole Carly away for a moment and gave her a five carat princess cut sapphire ring surronded by diamonds. Alexis went into the bathroom and cried over the loss of Sam. Sonny went into the kitchen and called Brenda. When Brenda saw who it was on her cell phone, she let her voice mail pick it up.

~Bobbie, Noah, Lucy, and even Scott descended on the Scorpio household. They knew that Mac and Robert weren't much on the cooking. They brought with them a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, corn, a green bean casserole, fresh rolls and gravy. Robin and Patrick came over and Georgie joined them too. A prayer was said for Felicia and Maxie and tears flowed. Mac stepped away and glanced at a family photograph of him, Felicia, Maxie and Georgie. He didn't notice Bobbie behind him until she sat down and hugged him.

~At the Quartermaine's Edward was holding court at the head of the table. Alan, Tracy, Monica, Ned, Dillion, Brenda, Justus and Lainey were all there for Christmas dinner. The usual sniping was going on between Tracy, who had fortified herself with some Manhattans, and Monica. Edward calmed everyone down by leading a prayer and remembering Lila, Mary Mae and Bradley Ward. He was also saddened that Jason and AJ couldn't be there. But he was thankful that Brenda had returned home with James and so happy that she named him after him.

~At the Spencer's, laughter filled the air. Laura and Lulu were cooking and Luke and Lucky were telling stories of past holidays. It was just going to be the four of them this year, a fact that Laura was trying to overcome. She wished that Nikolas would come over, but that would mean bringing Elizabeth. The brothers were now at war. She had pleaded with Lucky to let things go for the day. She had already called and spoke to both Nikolas and Elizabeth and pleaded that they come over. She wanted to see her grandson. When the doorbell rang, she was overjoyed when Liz, Nikolas and Emily came in. This truly made the day complete. Lucky tried to be civil yet he also avoided Liz as well. Catching onto the tension, Luke told the story of him and Laura being caught in Wyndham's and how they danced the night away. Lulu jumped up and down, wanting them to dance.

"Mrs. Spencer, may I have this dance?" Luke held out his hand to his wife.

Nikolas and Lucky moved the furniture so that Luke and Laura could dance in the living room. Luke swept Laura around the room as everyone was caught up in the magical moment. For that brief moment, all their troubles were forgotten....

    Merry Christmas!

    Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the Quartermaine manse
    Everyone was dreaming
    including one Ms Brenda Barrett.....

"Brenda!" Sonny yelled, "Are you almost ready? What is taking you so long?" Sonny came stomping through the penthouse with the twins, Michael 1 and Michael 2 following close behind. "We have guests arriving shortly and Michael 1 and Michael 2 are following me around the kitchen and I can't cook. Can you please help me out here?"

Brenda looked up from her dressing table. Her black hair was all teased out and she was dressed in lounging pajamas. It was Christmas Day and they were having the Christmas meal for all their friends and family. And some enemies that Sonny had insisted on inviting. She had just applied her makeup and was getting up. She looked down at her burgeoning belly, she was eight months pregnant with her fourth child. She and Sonny had been married ten years. "Come with Mama boys. Where is your sister Michalea?"

Sonny strode out of the room and Michael 1 jumped on the bed. The twins were eight years old and were identical. They were the spitting image of Sonny. "Mama, Michaela is with Lily. Lily is dressing her and making sure she eats her breakfast."

Brenda grabbed Michael 1's hand and guided him off the bed, "Let's go find Lily then, ok?" She and the twins went off in search of Lily, their maid of several years now and Michaela, aged four and a half. They found the two of them in the playroom. "Lily, how is my little girl today?"

"Mama!" Michaela raced forward and soundly kissed her mother on the cheek. "Lily and I have been reading a story."

"Excellent" Brenda kissed Michaela and pushed back her blonde hair. "Lily, is the living room all set up for our guests? Are the hor doeurves ready? I expect people to be arriving shortly and want to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch. Do you understand that? Where is Jasper, do you know?

"Jasper is doing some last minute dusting. The house is immaculate and the children will stay up here with me while you and the guests dine. Jasper will be serving the meal and making sure everything runs smoothly. Can I do anything for you Mrs Corinthos?" Lily asked.

Brenda kissed her children and walked out of the room, "That will be all Lily." She walked down the stairs and ran into Jasper Jax, former tycoon who lost all his money in bad investments. Sonny hired him to be his butler and personal driver. "Jasper, how does the house look?"

"Mrs Corinthos, everything is immaculate. I even took a white glove to it. What else can I do for you?" Jax asked.

Brenda surveyed the rooms in front of her and walked slowly around. She eyed Jax up and down. It was no coincidence that Michaela was a blonde. "Nothing at this time. Just stand at the door and escort our guests in when they arrive." Brenda then headed towards the kitchen where she found her husband of ten years leaning over the stove inspecting everything. Brenda wrapped her arms around him and kissed him, "Honey, everything will go off without a hitch. You never did tell me what we were having."

Sonny walked her out of the kitchen and kissed her passionately, "We have a spiral ham" He kissed her again, "A turkey," He kissed her again, "Mashed potatoes," kissing her again, "stuffing of course, " he kissed her neck this time causing Brenda to giggle, "salad" he kissed her forehead, "corn and a green bean casserole," he kissed each eye, "homemade cranberry sauce," he kissed her nose, "gravy" he lightly kissed her lips, "sweet potatoes," kissing her again, "homemade rolls" and kissed her soundly.

Brenda looked deeply into his eyes, "What's for dessert?" she whispered.

"You." They were interrupted by a discreet clearing of the throat by Jax. "Mr and Mrs Corinthos, Mr and Mrs Ashton are here." Brenda waddled forward as fast as she could to hug Lois. "Lois, it has been way too long, how have you been?"

"Oh my Gawd Brenda you are so big! I can't believe you are pregnant again. Sonny kept his promise to keep you barefoot and pregnant!" Lois shreiked, hugging Brenda.

Brenda looked her best friend up and down. Only Lois could pull off a red leather jumpsuit on Christmas. "True! How is L&B?"

"L&B has been doing just fabulous. We have been touring with Miguel. He is just so hot these days. Now where are Michael 1 and 2 and Michaela? Are they upstairs?" Lois said, talking animately, her long Santa Claus nails catching the light.

"Yes they are. Ned it is so good to see you back in Port Charles." Brenda leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

"It's good to be here. Thank you Sonny for having us. God knows what we will be having at the Quartermaines later." Ned answered. "Usually we do end up eating turkey on Christmas, it's just Thanksgiving we have pizza."

"Oh Nedly," Lois laid her hand on his arm, "You know, I never figured out how Michaela turned out so blond when you and Sonny are so dark."

Brenda was saved by saying anything by the arrival of Jax, "Mrs Corinthos, Mr Morgan and Ms Benson are here."

Brenda quickly turned to Lois, "My sister was a blonde." Jason walked over to Sonny and the two of them began talking about business. They sat down as Jax brought out some hor doeurves for everyone. Brenda hugged Carly and said, "I am so glad you and Jason could make it. I am glad you two made up. You two are perfect for each other."

Carly hugged Brenda back, "He is my soulmate, just like Sonny is yours. Now, how far along are you?"

Brenda rubbed her stomach and turned to their guests, "Sonny and I have an announcement. Sonny, I hope you don't mind me saying anything, but Carly just asked and my best friends are here."

Sonny waved his hand and said, "Go ahead, tell them sweetie." Brenda was going to speak when Jax came in and said, "Mr Morez and Miss Scorpio are here."

Carly and Brenda looked at each other, their contempt for Robin Scorpio well known. Ever since she told AJ Quartermaine that he was the father of Carly's baby, not Jason she was not their friend. She was only there because she and Miguel Morez were now an item. He was the top act for L&B Records and Miguel was touring. Robin was touring with him along with Lois and Ned. "Hi Miguel." Brenda said sweetly, "Robin." Brenda swept past her and sat down next to Sonny. "As I was about to say, we found out we are going to have twins!"

Lois and Carly jumped up and hugged Brenda, "Oh. My. Gawd. When did you find out?" Lois asked, waving her hands in excitement.

"A week ago. One of the babies is behind the other so they couldn't see him or her and they couldn't detect the heartbeat. But they are definetly two heartbeats." Brenda announced.

Jax walked in, "Excuse me Mr Corinthos. Dinner is served." The group followed Sonny into the dining room and sat down.

Sonny was at the head of the table and started the conversation, "So Miguel, how is the tour going?"

"It is going very well thank you. I love seeing all of the country. Especially with Robin coming with me." He leaned over and grasped her hand. "She makes everything more beautifu

"Oh please." muttered Carly. She grabbed a roll and glanced at Brenda. "Miguel, where are you off to next?"

"Miami for a New Year's Eve concert." Miguel said politely.

Carly broke open the roll and said, "Watch your back around Robin. She may stab it in your sleep. You do know Miguel that she is the reason that I lost my child. She had to go and open her big mouth and tell AJ that he was the father when it was none of her damn business."

Jason leaned over and patted Carly's hand, "Carly, that's enough."

Lois broke in and waved her fork around, "Gawd, it is going to be the biggest concert with the most exposure for Miguel. His album is selling millions and he is so awesome on the stage." Lois said in her heavy New York accent. "I wish you alls could come down for it."

Sonny looked at Brenda with amusement, "Honey could you see us with our brood in Miami? Miguel, when Michael 1 and 2 are a little older, I will take them to one of your concerts."

Robin looked over at Lois, "Where's Brook Lynn?"

"She decided to stay in New York with her grandparents for the holidays then she will join us for New Years." Answered Ned.

"So Robin, ruin any lives lately?" Carly broke in. "Or was it just mine and Jason's that you decided to ruin since you can't have any kids, you decided that you needed to make someone else as miserable as you."

    "Carly, stop it." warned Jason.

"If it wasn't for Robin you and I would be raising our son. Now AJ has full custody of him and I barely see him. Thanks Robin. Thanks a lot." Carly snapped.

Robin glared at Carly and at Brenda, "That's not true and you know it. You are always lying about something Carly. My God, how many years did you lie to Bobbie about not being her daughter? How can you live with yourself?"

Miguel put his arm around Robin, "Carly, Robin had to do what she thought was right."

Brenda spoke up, "And ruin the life of a little boy and Carly and Jason's as well. Nice work. She does that and then takes off and doesn't face the consequences." Brenda threw down her fork and turned to Sonny, "I told you Sonny that we shouldn't have invited her. I didn't want to upset Carly and she is. Robin is a constant reminder that she can't spend the day with her son."

"Exactly Brenda. I have to look at Robin's face and see my beautiful boy and know I can't see him on Christmas. Thanks you b!tch!" With that Carly threw her roll at Robin. Robin retaliated by throwing a forkful of mashed potatoes at Carly, missing and hit Jason. Carly got angrier and dug her hands into the cranberry sauce and threw it at Robin, hitting Robin, Miguel and Lois.

"STOP IT!" yelled Sonny. "You two are acting like children. My twins act better than you at times Carly. This is Christmas and we are all adults. Can't we all get along? Don't you agree with me Brenda? Brenda?"

"Um, Sonny, my water broke. I'm in labor." Brenda clutched her back as Ned and Sonny raced to get her up. Sonny was screaming to Jax to get the car and soon thereafter, Brenda was at the hospital. In the delivery room, Sonny clutched her hand while the cranberry clad group of Robin, Miguel and Lois were on one side, Jason, Carly and Ned on the other. They all were there when Micheal 3 and Michael 4 were born an hour after she got there.

Brenda looked up at Sonny who leaned down and kissed her, "This is the best Christmas ever." she cried out.

Tossing and turning in her bed at the mansion, Brenda woke up and screamed.

"Sonny, I think we should go." breathed Brenda. She was breathing heavily and her heart was pounding. She could feel Sonny's heart racing. "In fact Sonny, I know we should go."

Sonny with his lips inches from hers pleaded, "Brenda, please." He put his hands on both sides of her face, framing it. He looked deeply into her eyes and held her stare. He leaned in closer and she responded. Her lips touched his and they began passionately kissing. Sonny couldn't get enough of her. He was exactly where he wanted to be, kissing Brenda. Her soft lips molded perfectly to his like they always had. Her tongue tasted like the fine wine that she drank at dinner. His breathing was ragged when she manuevered her hand up his chest and pushed him gently away.

"Sonny," she said softly, "Please stop."

Reluctantly Sonny pulled himself together and put the car in gear. Brenda was staring out the window. A heavy silence fell between them which turned the mood awkward. "Sonny, I am sorry."

"Brenda, it's ok. I understand." Sonny reassured.

"Thank you." She said simply and continued watching the snow fall.

Lucy walked into Metro Court dressed in a tight velour red dress. Her confidence was low since Scott rejected her. She was suppossed to reject him and he go after her. Not him agreeing with her that their relationship should end. There was a Christmas party/benefit being held at Metro Court to help raise money for the hospital. She got a drink and glanced around the room. She couldn't believe what she saw, Scott and Alexis! Lucy put her drink down and went over to say hello. "Hi Scott, hi Alexis, are you two having a good time? I wasn't aware that either one of you liked classical music." A local string quartet was playing that night.

Alexis smiled at her and responded, "Actually I do. I love classical music. I didn't realize that you did too Scott."

Scott smiled lazily at her, "Of course I do. I have been listening to it all my life."

"You have?" Lucy asked incrediously. "How come you never told me that?"

"You never asked Lucy. Now if you don't mind, Alexis and I were going to go sit down and talk some more. I'm sure we will see you later Lucy." Scott grinned and cockily guided Alexis away.

"Ta ta!" Lucy waved them off, although furious. She watched the two of them and didn't notice Ned come up to her.

"Hi Lucy." Ned said, picking up a glass of wine from a nearby waiter. "You are looking lovely tonight. Of course, you always do."

Lucy appraised him and cocked an eyebrow. She looked over at Scott and looked back at Ned, "Thank you Ned. You like classical music? I suppose you do, you being a Quartermaine and all."

Ned shrugged, "It's ok. I just needed to get out of the house." He looked around the room and saw Scott and Alexis. He chuckled, "I can't believe it."

    "What?"

"Scott and Alexis. Look at him." Ned used his glass to point to the two of them, "You can tell that Scott has one thing on his mind by how he is leaning into her and talking with his hands. Classic Scott Baldwin moves. You should know."

Lucy sighed, "Tell me about it." Lucy looked around, "Ned, want to get out of here? This really isn't my sort of thing and I have put in my apperance. Let's go upstairs."

Halfway home, Sonny's car slipped on black ice and went into a snowbank. Neither Sonny nor Brenda were hurt, but Sonny couldn't get the car in gear. He called AAA and Max to come pick them up. Max had the Range Rover and would be there in no time. Although Sonny didn't mind if he took all night. He looked over at Brenda, who was shivering. "Cold?" When she nodded, he gave her his coat and wrapped it around her.

"Thanks Sonny." She sat and contemplated him, "You are not mad are you?"

He smiled indulgently at her, "Brenda no. I know you need time. I am willing to give you that time. From the moment I saw you at the Nurse's Ball, it was like the first time I saw you at the pier. Remember that? You took my breath away then too. You still do. I know you are thinking of the bad times, but we also had good times too. I remember dancing together on our second date and how wonderful it felt to hold you in my arms. The trips to Puerto Rico."

Brenda interrupted him, "I remember getting shot at in the shower and you throwing me out on my hands and knees. I remember watching you get shot in front of me. I will not subject my child to that. I love James far too much for that kind of life."

"Brenda I have three children. I am out of the mob." Sonny explained.

    "I don't believe you."

"Believe this." He leaned over and kissed her again and again. She gave in to the moment and wrapped her arms around him pulling him closer. He pulled her against his chest and started rubbing his hands all over her. She contemplated making love to him when a car pulled up. Max was behind them. Sonny swore under his breath.

"Were just getting started Brenda" Sonny said.

Lucy walked into her penthouse and faced Ned. Not having a care in the world, she closed the door and walked to Ned. He cocked an eyebrow at her as she raised her mouth for a kiss. Ned kissed her thouroughly and hungrily. He pressed her close so she could feel his growing arousal. Without a word, she led him to the bedroom and flipped on the light. She stripped and got into bed. Ned followed her quickly, kissing her passionately. He entered her quickly as she wrapped her legs around his. They moved in time together. She gasped for breath as she scratched her nails down his back, drawing blood. The came together and both screamed. Ned rolled off her and they faced the ceiling.

"Next time, you are on top. I will be ready when you are." Ned said.

Lucy grabbed him and said, "I'm ready."

Carly pounds on Jason's door, eager to speak to him. She hasn't been able to track him down for a while now and she really needed to talk to him. He opened the door and she pushed her way in, "Jeez Jason, what the hell have you been doing in the last few weeks? You are never around. I was going to bring the kids over to see you but I wasn't sure you would be here."

Jason sighed, "Sorry Carly, been busy."

Carly throws her purse down, "Been busy he says. Like the rest of us haven't been busy. How are you? What's been going on?" She chided.

"Well, you are going to find out anyway." Jason started.

"Oh I know, you're the daddy of Liz's baby. I hoped you told her to take a flying leap into hell for not telling you." Carly said, sitting down.

"Actually Carly, that wasn't what I was going to tell you. And I will be helping Elizabeth." Jason glanced over at her and confided, "I have been seeing someone."

Carly's mouth dropped open, "No way! Who?"

"Alison Barrington." Jason quickly shot a glance at her to shut her up before she said anything and continued, "It isn't anything serious. We are just enjoying each other's company right now. More like a friendship, but a little more than that."

Surprised, Carly said, "Wow, Alison Barrington. Wow."

"Is that all you have to say?" Jason said cautiously. He knew how Carly was and eventually she would have an opinion, "If you have anything to say about it, tell me now."

Innocently Carly looked at him, "What makes you say that Jason?" She said sweetly.

"Because you have an opinion on everything."

Carly shrugged her shoulders, "I barely know the girl. If she makes you happy, thats good enough for me." Carly stood up and walked around his penthouse, Jason warily watching her. "I have a favor to ask of you."

Jason knew she wanted something, "What is it Carly?"

She smiled up at him, "Jax and I are getting married and I want you to be my best man. I want you to stand up next to me. Were getting married in two weeks." Carly paused, "Please say you'll do it Jason, please. You're my best friend and I can't get married without you."

    Jason sighed, "OK."

Brenda was putting the finishing touches on her makeup. James was with Emily and Nikolas and Sonny was picking her up shortly. She scrutinized herself in the mirror. She had decided on black leather pants and a red cowl neck sweater and threatened to expose her shoulder. She had pulled some of her hair back, and curled the rest. Despite herself, she wanted to look her best tonight.

She heard the doorbell ring and the butterflies fluttered in her stomach. "You can do this Brenda." She whispered to her image. She walked down the staircase to where Sonny was waiting. She felt like this was her very first date ever. "Hi Sonny " she said brightly as she reached the bottom of the stairs. "You look nice." He was dressed in a black Armani suit with a midnight blue shirt underneath.

"Thank you, you look gorgeous as well. You ready?" Sonny indicated the door. She followed him out to his Mercedes. He opened the door for her, "What, you're driving? No driver tonight?"

Sonny got in the driver's seat, "Naawww. Thought it would be more fun just you and me. Can't make my move with Max here." Sonny glanced over at Brenda with a half smile on his face.

Brenda laughed, "Oh whatever." She looked out the window and asked, "Where are we going anyway?"

"There's a restaurant about a half hour outside of Port Charles that I thought you would enjoy. It serves French food and is very elegant."Sonny replied.

"Sounds good." She lapsed into silence as his car smoothly drove through the snow. "I can't believe that we are finally getting snow. I hope it doesn't amount to much." Brenda commented idly.

Sonny pulled into the restaurant's parking lot, "Ahhh, I am sure it won't be bad." Soon they were seated in the elegant, candlelit restaurant. After they ordered and got their drinks he sat back and contemplated Brenda, "I never thought you would come out with me."

Brenda shrugged, "I never thought I would either Sonny."

    "So why did you?"

"I don't know." she answered honestly.

Sonny rubbed the rim of his wine glass with his finger, "Are you back for good Brenda? Please, be honest with me. This is me you are talking too. I really want to know."

Brenda's eyes were luminous, "Yes Sonny, I am staying. For good."

"I would like to think that some part, well, some part is for me." Sonny's eyes bored into hers.

Brenda visibally swallowed, "Sonny, I came back for my son. You have children. Everything is about the children now." She was saved from saying anything more when there food arrived. "Tell me about Michael and Morgan."

On safer ground, Sonny and Brenda lapsed into conversation about their children. They shared stories and they made each other laugh. She told him how scared she was the first time James fell and bumped his head the first time. He told her about the joy he felt seeing Morgan walk the first time. All in all, Brenda and Sonny enjoyed their dinner.

Once outside, the snow and wind had picked up dramatically. The rushed to the car and Sonny started it up. He looked over at Brenda who was rubbing her hands together. Sonny grabbed them and put them between his. She slowly raised her eyes to his. He leaned over and kissed her thouroughly. He leaned back and whispered against her mouth, "God Brenda, I want you."

Carly sat down at a table at Metro Court and took a sip of her water. She had a late lunch date with Jax. She had gone out shopping for her wedding dress with Lulu and finally found the perfect dress. She even found the perfect dress at Wyndham's for Lulu, who she asked to be in her wedding. She smiled as Jax entered the room and she lifted her cheek so he could kiss it. "Hi Jax. How is your day going?" she asked breezily.

"Very well. I have made such plans for us Carly." Smiled Jax.

Carly leaned forward and put her chim in her hands, "Like what?"

Jax very deliberality shook out his napkin and laid it in his lap, "I have arranged for a minister to marry us here in two weeks. I have a guest list here for you to check out and we will send out the invitations now."

Carly broke in, excitement in her eyes, "Are you serious?"

"Very. I know from Bobbie that you went shopping for your wedding dress and the alterations will be completed by then. Flowers and a string quartet are arranged. Everything is completed. Bobbie is helping me with everything." Jax looked at Carly, whose excitement was seeping out of her pores, "Oh and I booked us rooms for two weeks in Hawaii for me and you. I am sure Sonny won't mind having the boys or if you want them to come with us, I will arrange for a nanny to come with us. The choice is yours."

Carly jumped up and hugged him, "Oh my God!" She raised her hands to her mouth, "Are you serious Jax?"

Jax smiled charismatically, "You want to get married and I want to get married. I say lets do it and lets do it right. We will invite everyone you want. Lady Jane is coming as well as Jerry. Jerry will be my best man."

"I do have a strange request though." Carly asked.

"Tell me whatever you want and it's yours." Jax replied, a smiing broadly and his eyes twinkling.

Carly asked, "Do you mind if I ask Jason to stand up for me instead of a maid of honor? He is my best friend."

    "Of course. Anything else?"

Carly leaned forward and purred, "I want to make love to you right now. Let's go upstairs."

Jax stood up, "I thought you would never ask."

Ric walked into Kelly's. He had been looking everywhere for Scott Baldwin. As luck would have it he decided to stop in for a sandwich and Scott was there. Laughing to himself he sat down across from Scott, uninvited. "Please Lansing, sit down." Scott said sarcastically.

"Don't mind if I do." Ric moitioned to a waitress that he wanted a cup of coffee. "Mind if I join you for lunch? I have a business proposition for you."

Scott laughed, "Business? What business do you and I have to discuss. I just represented your ex wife in your custody battle." He took a bite of his sandwich as the waitress poured Ric his coffee and Ric ordered himself a turkey sandwich. "This ought to be good." He said, wiping his mouth.

Ric took a drink of his coffee and regarded Scott, "Well Baldwin you and I are two great lawyers. I think we should join forces."

Scott sputtered and almost choked on his food. He coughed several times, "Are you serious."

"Very. I think you and I would make a great team." Ric said seriously.

"The likelihood of you and and me working together is about the same as Elvis walking into this building in the next ten seconds. It will never happen Lansing." Scott explained.

Ric asked smoothly, "Why is that Baldwin?"

Scott popped a fry into his mouth, "Conflict of interest."

Confused, Ric asked, "What do you mean, conflict of interest? Are you talking about Alexis?"

"Well that too." Scott leaned back and smiled smugly, "I am Sonny Corinithos lawyer."

Ric rose in anger and half shouted, "What? Sonny? When you were DA you were trying to put him away just as hard as I tried too."

Scott raised his arms and shrugged, "Hey, if you can't beat em, join em."

Alexis and Taggert approach the Scorpio house in the middle of the afternoon. It has been weeks since Felicia and Maxie have died and Mac has not come back to work. On top of that, he has been getting drunk and was hospitalized for excessive drinking. He was out of control. "Taggert, I hate doing this. But the mayor is right. We have to do this."

"Mac will get back on his feet Ms Davis." Taggert said, "He always does."

Alexis rang the bell. The two of them waited several moments before ringing it again. Finally Robert answered the door. "Oh hello Alexis, Taggert. Sorry it took me so long. I was upstairs and I thought Mac was down here. Is something wrong?"

Alexis stepped forward, "Robert, we are on official business. Is Mac around?"

Robert stepped aside and let them into the house, "Please come in. I just need to go find him."

Taggert stopped him by placing his arm on his, "He's not in trouble Robert. We just need to talk to him. Then if you don't mind, Alexis needs to talk to you."

Bewildered at the request, Robert went off to search for his brother. He found him in his bedroom, looking through old photo albums. He was also drinking a beer. "Mac, Alexis and Taggert are here. They want to talk to you."

Mac waved Robert away, "Tell them I'm sleeping or something. Cover for me."

Robert stood steadfast, "Nope mate, you tell them." He walked out of the room and back downstairs. "Mac will be down in a minute." He said to his guests. Five minutes, then ten minutes passed. Robert went to get Mac again who clearly didn't want to see Alexis and Taggert. Finally Mac stumbled down the stairs. His hair wasn't combed and his clothes looked like he had slept in them.

"What do I owe this pleasure?" Mac asked sarcastically.

Alexis came forward and brushed her hair out of her eyes, "Robert, will you excuse us please." Robert left the room and Alexis continued. "Mac, the mayor has requested that we relieve you of your duties as police commissioner effective immediately."

    "What?" Mac roared.

"Mac, I am sorry. However there have been too many instances of public drunkeness." Alexis softened her voice, "Mac, you need to get help."

"No, I need my job. I need something to hold on too." Mac retorted.

Alexis looked at him sympathetically,"It is only temporary Mac."

"Oh yeah, who is my replacement? Taggert? Is that why he is here?"

"Taggert is here to collect your gun and police sheild Mac. That's all. He is not going to be the commissioner." Alexis firmly stated.

Mac said beligerantly, "Tell me who is taking my job! I have a right to know!"

Alexis cleared her throat, "Mac, we haven't approached this person about the job yet. They have no idea." She paused, "The mayor wants us to offer the job to Robert."

An eavesdropping Robert fell into the hallway, "What?" both Scorpio brothers said.

Alexis looked at a sprawled out Robert and waited for him to get up. "Robert, the mayor would like you to be the commissioner. With your extensive background in law enforcement you would be a perfect fit. It would just be temporary until Mac is fit to return."

    "If I disagree?" Robert asked.

"Then we will go elsewhere. But it is a temporary job and then your brother will assume his role. It is just until your brother gets everything under control." Alexis explained.

Angrily Mac looked from Robert to Alexis, "I would appreciate it if when you are talking about me, you also include me in the conversation. Who says I am leaving my job?"

"Mac, if you don't voluntarily take a leave of absence, you will be fired. I have no choice. I asked to come down here to tell you instead of the mayor." explained Alexis. "Mac, please give Taggert your shield and gun."

Mac sighed. He knew he had no choice. He went upstairs to get his things. Alexis turned to Robert, "You are expected at 8 am at the police station to meet the mayor." Once Mac handed everything over and Alexis and Taggert were headed for the door, Robert called out to them.

"Wait! Luke Spencer's not still the mayor is he? Cause I am not working with him...."
