  1. I hope they let her stay "on top" of the game for a while. When Tracy's on top, things are light and airy and fun. When Luke's on top, it's always so unpretty. Yeah, she'll turn the screws on him financially, but it's not really as nasty to me as his just leaving her in the lurch to chase another unworthy skirt. There's a viciousness to hers; there's a cruelty to his. It's a subtle difference, but it changes everything.

From your brain to this page to...someone's ears. Thanks for the clips Ms. Q.

  2. Wonderful analysis, MinervaFan. You got that out of a Guza written show? Wow. I can't say I'm surprised. I think that fear of his is integral to the Luke/Tracy relationship. His relationship with Laura ended abrubtly when she succumbed to the depths of her own mind. Luke wenbt off the deep end and then came Skye. He was chasing skirts. There was nothing equal in that relationship, whch is the way he "liked" it. Tracy, however, took him by surprise. He knew she'd be a challenge, but I don't tihnk he could have anticiapted what he has now. And he's afriad. He likes it. But he's afraid of getting old. Enter Holly, Robert, the old gang, as it were. It's as if his glory days are sucking him back in a hell of a lot more than him going looking for them. This angle of the story is one I would love to see played out--under a competent writing team. Sigh.

  3. To Marland: Let me just say it has come up, time and again, you bash someone or the other in this thread over their 'desperate' whatever. The fact is, this is a Tracy Q love thread and that is what should be shown here. You obviously love her; we don't need to know anything else about your opinions in this thread. That's what the discussion forums are for, no? None of us mean this as an attack on you, but this is the best way to avoid little tiffs like this, too. It's a Tracy lov ethread; stick to the Tracy love...and the occasional TPTB bashing.

  4. I agree with your concept of each character, but only to the extent that I always painfully remind myself that this is Guza and characters don't exist, only caricatures. That said, the caricatures of Luke and Tracy? Completely in character and untouched. And Geary and Elliot work their paychecks off to bring it to life the way they do. I go into it expecting as little as possible, so I don't tend to get disappointed. I think the fact that I've stopped looking at spoilers (in general, not just when it comes to Tracy or GH) helps. There's just so much out there that doesn't come to pass or only winds up being a rumor. I frankly got tired of getting let down. And this is a Guza show, you're going to get let down, no matter who you are. So the best you can do to avoid that, the better off, IMO.

That said, I think that a viable Robert/Luke over Tracy story would rock. I mean, two men over our girl? In Guza's world? I'm salivating just thinking about it. Robert's back fairly full time, Anna's only here for a stint, not sure about Holly. So, why not?

  5. Much as I love our girl, I don't think I'd like to see this played out differently. The alternative is, honestly, Luke not being Luke and Tracy not being Tracy. We've had enough character assassinations under Guza's roof, haven't we? Of course, I don't watch regularly by any stretch of the imagination, so what little I get, I enjoy.

  6. Just for fun:

Also, I remember seeing Tracy bargain with Edward--something like, "I'll never do you another favor again" "You've never done me a favor before" and Lulu and Dillon coming in right before he lets Robert go..... It was right after the opening credits. (Fey's mom's tape always cuts off the teaser scenes.)

Edit: *sniff* Rewatching the scenes in the hospital with Dillon. I love them together. Wish to any GODS that will listen that they will get more quality time, and that Dillon might realize how freakin' lucky he is. I mean, look at these scenes with Tracy and thank the deities that she had Lila's influence in her life so she knew how to be a mother when it really counted. *throws big old stick at real!Edward, who obviously learned parenting skills from a rabid pirahna....*

Ok...honey...your current banner. The middle photo. Looks like a new publicity shot. Do you have the original?

  7. Well Keith you haven't been gone that long, but long enough that we missed you.

How's that for an explanation? :P

    It's nice to be loved!

And  Tracy basically had the same amount episodes within two weeks? Well, I'll go with ILoveTracyQ's diagnosis. Plentiful airtime last week, minimal this week.

  8. *falls over*

    Keith posted ! :)

 Have I been gone that long?

If I have, I think I deserve to be decked by Tracy like her hubby was, what, a week ago? She deserves daily love, after all, seeing as TPTB won't give it to her.

Is it me or did we have almost Tracy overload last week and basically nothing this week?

  9. Saw her briefly this morning on a SOAPnet reairing of Friday. Good stuff. One of the few things keeping me into soaps...:)

Oh and I'm glad Skye falling down stairs was what it was. It wasn't Big Evil Tracy doens't like Skye, so Skye must suffer. It was very human, rooted in their jealousies, which Tracy would no doubt deny to the ends of the Earth. But yeah. "Hands off my wife"? Luke doesn't often make me swoon.

  10. *DEAD*

The. Hair. Department. Gave. Her. Style?

    *DEAD*

She looks gorgeous! She always does, but like total soap gorgeous, as opposed to matronly bitch. And I hate to use that to describe Tracy, but we all know she's not looked on the youthful galmorous side as far as hair goes in some time. It's about time. Knew she had it in her! ;)

  11. What was too much? Personally, I'm thinking Trace is the only reason to watch GH

But what, oh, what is too much, Keith?

Everything that's not Tracy...and I was actually referring to needing to see Tracy pop Luke. But it really is too much. But I love her and must watch or die trying. Sometimes dodging those straying bullets is harder than it seems.
