  1. Yes, I love the Phoenix cue. I remember watching a clip from the Stockholm storyline when Marlena was kidnapped by Orpheus and I could swear I heard the Phoenix cue. Toups, do you know if the cue was Marty's or DBN's? I want to know when Marty's music stopped playing on the show and when DBN's music started, I know it was around 1993 but not sure exactly when. And what about Corday? From what I've read he's been working with the shows music sine the last 70s which means he also worked with Marty. I have always wanted to know what music is Corday's, does he have a different style than Marty and DBN? What I hate the most about the DAYS music is that they have all these great cues but they never use them. They just keep making new ones. DBN said this in an interview last year: I just don't get that. I want to hear familiar music. When Stefano walks into a scene I want to hear the Phoenix music.
  2. Yeah I'm not really sure why it's called Stefano's theme. It played alot during the whole Sydnapping storyline last year, it still plays from time to time but I would say it's more EJ's theme than Stefano's. Eww to Heist, it reminds me of Stan, LOL. "Nighttime Hope's Theme" really is awful.
  3. DAYS composer D. Brent Nelson has a website. You can listen to some of his cues (or download, just right-click and save as). Most of them are recent stuff but there are two from the 90s, "Making an Escape" and "Racing Against Time". I love "Making an Escape", great action cue that played alot back in 1997. http://www.dbrentnelson.com/
  4. It was so stupid. And after Sami was revealed as Stan she was afraid of being charged with treason. But then Austin, of all people, figured out that she couldn't be charged with treason because Tony DiMera and his mercenaries were never officially declared enemies of the United States. So Sami walked free.
  5. That's what I'm hoping for. Those are my favorite cues from B&B.
  6. Some of DAYS 80s score are on Youtube, you can find them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/hortonofsalem
  7. I'm not sure, it was another composer in the 80s, Marty Davich and he is ignoring that he worked on DAYS and GH.
  8. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I forgot about this thread, lol. There were some scores I liked but I think there were too many from the last 5 years. I wish it would have had some more scores from the 90s and early 2000s.
  9. I got the DAYS Soundtrack today, much sooner than what they first said. I just started to listen to it so I'll be back later with more comments.
  10. I downloaded the previews/samples and I recognized all of them. Who Is John Black?: Played in early 2008 when they found out that John was alive. First Kiss: I recognize it but I can't say for sure when it used to play. Theme for a Princess: Played during the Princess Gina Storyline in 1999. Hitman: Played back in 2005 during the Stan/Iraq story but I think I also heard it in a recent episode, it was either in Dec 09 or Jan 10. Kiss of Death: This one is really weird because I recognized two different cues that blended together in this one. One of the cues played during the Meteor Shower in 2002 and the other one with the female "Aaaahaaaaaaa" is from the Princess Gina Storyline. Something is Going On: This is a pretty new one, I would say it started sometime last year. About the CD insert you posted, this means that on some of the tracks we won't hear the whole score? Nope, I don't like it. And I have to comment on the last part: "This is meant to be like this, for it enables you to appreciate the composers craft at creating atmosphere and bring you into the storylines created by the names of the tracks." I say bullshit on that. I would've appreciated if they didn't mix it like that, it actually ruins the atmosphere. Of course I haven't heard it yet but to me it feels like that. But when I get the CD I will listen to all of it and then judge. I just got an e-mail from Amazon, the delivery date is March 26.
  11. Oh okey. But is "Innocence" the only one from Reilly 1 era? Because on the 1998 soundtrack they left out alot of my favorite cues so I was hoping they would be on this one. I live in Sweden so it's international shipping. I could have chosen a faster shipping and gotten it after 4-5 days but that would have cost much, much more.
  12. I ordered it last night but because of the shipping bullshit I won't get it until late March or early April. So on the second CD it's just like one long track with all the scores put together? Doesn't sound to promising.
  13. Thanks for posting the track list, I'm still gonna buy it.
  14. You know I thought about that, because on Days they still use his music in old flashbacks.
  15. Maybe working on soaps isn't good to have on your resume for composers? Or else he's just an ass.
  16. It's official! The soundtrack will be released on February 16 but you can preorder it on Amazon "Presenting the music score from the legendary NBC daytime soap opera Days Of Our Lives. An expertly crafted, emotional keepsake from a television landmark and just in time for Valentine's Day." http://www.amazon.com/Days-Our-Lives-Ken-Corday/dp/B002ZXZJE2/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1262597526&sr=8-6
  17. Ugh, I hate stuff like that. I don't remember if it was Days or B&B but when I was in Paris I saw a couple of scenes at the hotel room in the morning and they not only dubbed the show, they also changed the intro to something completely different.
  18. The Bo and Hope theme was in the mid 90s, I think around 95-96. That was after Marty left so that means Corday composed it One thing I don't like about Corday's music (but maybe this is the the music directors fault) is how it keeps getting replaced after a while. Just to show you what I mean. This clip is from 1998, listen to the background music. This clips is from 2002. This one is from 2006. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVyQ3YLGqME And a clip from the present episodes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-qo04PN4sc Notice how the music is not the same? I have no problem with them making new scores but why replace old ones? Compare with B&B that are still playing their classic scores in scenes while also doing new ones.
  19. I'm still not sure if it's Marty or Corday's music. But he did tell me he has much of the music from the 1980's... Marty Davich put out a limitee edtion cassette in 1985 of about 22 cues from Days.
  20. He said he was going to keep me in suspense for now. He better be telling the truth or I'm looking like a fool, LOL.
  21. - It will cover the gamut of many storylines and be 2 cds.,,, the first one will be emotional and sympathetic and the 2nd one will be movement, tension and horror. - He also told me it will be like nothing you have heard... the way it is put together.
  22. I talked to him again last night, he said the company is ramping up efforts on the soundtrack... could see a relase date very soon...
  23. If you mean the current ones I agree, though there are a few that sometimes plays in the scenes with the Kiriakis and DiMeras that I like. I would love a soundtrack with music from the 90s and early 00s.
  24. I came in contact with a guy through Youtube and he told me there might be a Days soundtrack coming soon.
  25. I love the one that starts at 0:22 in that clip.
