I can't seem to get into the Miami series, . There's no way I can classify this as a Housewives franchise, they should've kept it as Miami Social Club.

OC premiere was great. I'm a bit biased, but this is my favorite franchise. I love the women and the petty/catty drama they bring. (i.e. Tamra and Gretchen's evil eye spat) I can't wait for Tamra vs. Jeana.

Thank you. I almost started watching, alwaysAMC and Cheap21 know how to intrigue. But I think I'll pass.

^Also add that Vicki and Tamra teamed up in S5 because they both hate Slade and think he is repulsive for being a serial OC Housewife dater. Of course Slade and Gretchen didn't like that.

But Vicki was also a wedge between Simon and Tamra's marriage. Simon hated the show and how Tamra is fake BFFs with Vicki, who doesn't like Simon's control over Tamra (Vicki never lets men control her - she's always in control).

Also Vicki doesn't like Alexis or her husband's control over her, so there is a feud there... so sides were drawn.

So, basically, Gretchen really did things Tamra accuses her of and Tamra is still a nasty b!tch faking her friendship with Vicki? Who else did Slade date?

I've not had time to watch anything recently, and when I watch in bulk, it's just too much to comment on sometimes.

Then again, I barely post anymore as it is, so maybe it's part of not wanting to post much anymore.

No, I don't "love it" at all. It's not as bad as it could have been, but it's not that great either. It's sort of middle of the road.

Basically, the only way to enjoy this album IMO, is amongst friends when it's playing in the background at a party, or when you're drunk. It's not really an album I can see myself listening to alone and without the help of a little inebriation.

is an interesting 'admission'. I've always wondered how come people love something 'only when drunk'. Do they repress the love when sober because it's something to be ashamed of or something else?

Well, nothing wrong with being niche. Everything is nichey, it's just the matter of size – how big that niche is. To quote The Financial Times, "Barry Manilow, the Mills and Boon of popular music" is niche, but he managed to endure all these years. If Britney is wise, and she did reinvent herself in a way, she may have the same fate.

But good, if Y&RWorldTurner loves it this much, it shouldn't be bad at all.

Basically, niche-y? If, that is, she decides to take an interest in music again. That's kind of true. And yeah, no one really to compare her to.

So this is a step toward her becoming irrelevant? That's if she ever was in some groundbreaking way or whatever? Or a low-level A / upper-level B star?

Tamra and Gretchen's feud started since Gretchen joined in S4. IMO, a lot of it came from Tamra being jealous of Gretchen, who was younger and seemed to take over the Hottest, Youngest Housewife title Tamra so loved.

Accusations flew of Gretchen being a gold-digger, a paid caretaker for Jeff (Gretchen's fianceé, who died in 2008).

At the reunion for S4, Tamra revealed that Gretchen's ex-boyfriend had called her and told her Gretchen was still seeing him while Jeff was still alive, etc.

Gretchen denied it, Tamra swore up and down it was true.

S5 was a continuation of S4, in that regard, but a lot more passive aggressive.

She's only just joined the show but Peggy Tanous, the latest housewife to join The Real Housewives of Orange County, should fit right in. After all, she's already part of the foreclosure club. Lansner on Real Estate has been following the story and reports that her home in Irvine, California was purchased in 2006 for $1.379 million and that she owes a total of $1,318,253. An auction is scheduled for March 17. Tanous is described as a former biking model and stay-at-home mom. She is friends with Alexis Bellino who has her own real estate trouble, her home is listed for $3.395 million, (a reduction from the $3.695 million it was at when we looked at in December) though as the listing notes, the owners have over $6 million into the property.

In the video above Tanous gives the OC Register a tour showing off collections of swords, wax sculptures and the home movie theater complete with "butt shakers" to make the experience more realistic. Tanous is a fan of Versace, there's a Medusa head in the foyer tile and Versace china. Their wet bar also includes a wine tap system.

IA though, they did all seem bitter. Vicki used to be so fun and crazy but she seemed so catty in her interviews. Tamra got ugly in her second season. Gretchen just seems mean spirited now. The only hope is the new chicks. I didnt see Alexis last season but I liked what I saw of her last night. She could be my favorite if she doesnt get nasty as well

pretty much but you wouldnt know it bc the one brunette didnt even make it into the opening. I didnt even know she was a housewife till I saw she had a bio on Bravo.com. Not sure why she's not in the opening bc she was in the episode and interacted more with the ladies than the other new chick

OMG! The coincidences! The same thing happened to me – I was thinking Why don't they hire this Brazilian lesbian?! And then WHAM! She popped up on Bravo's website!

By the end, it was just as I thought: they all seem on the edge. Like total wrecks. This season bringing the total desintegration and meltdowns. It was all this pathetic nastiness stemming from their lives which don't fulfill their needs and desires. Awful.

And I can't believe Tamra is 43 and has a 20-year old son.
