Eurovision Song Contest 2025
I agree there was very little to be had this year. and although i'm not a lover of modern music, Eurovision usually has a least a couple songs that I like. Not so much this year. The only Eurovision joy I got this year was the use of AI and modern technology to restore the missing strings and woodwinds from the 1973 contest, which is my all time favorite. https://youtu.be/3qgTKO-c2jU?si=ITPPC1eja7DynM8O

That's because that alcove has been around since 1973. It's just the Brooks' entry and living room remodeled.

So, is there any credence to some rumours I've been hearing about the possibility of Clayton Norcross returning?

KKL Is a fine actress... Thorsten Kaye? AWFUL. I simply can't stand to even listen to his voice, I keep thinking Ridge has turned into Harvey Fierstein. And also, the man is 14 YEARS younger than Ronn Moss. I would have tried to get Leigh McCloskey to play Ridge when they had to do the recast.

This show could have been filled with wonderful conflict is Bradley would have just followed his father's blueprint. Granted it was tragic move, but killing off Phoebe should have been used in the same way as the death of Phillip Chancellor...the catalyst to ignite a decades long feud, between Steffy and Rick, carrying conflict into the next generation, especially since everyone knew Susan Flannery's retirement would be drawing near at the time it happened. Instead, they had Steffy bed hopping with every jerk that came along..... and making a fool of herself over the man that caused her sisters' death.

Maybe that's the main thrust of Hunter's point... that it sets a bad social example when every character is a scoundrel in some way. I know for many decades, they would rarely, if ever depict suicide on soaps for that very reason. Y&R managed to do it with Vanessa, but only because she had 6 weeks left to live anyway. For me, at least, you really NEED a goody two shoes in a show, to provide conflict and contrast. A-holes eviscerating each other constantly can get old. The audience needs someone that truly GOOD to root for. They need an Alice Horton in every show.

Does she really think the entire show should be like that? Or that PORTIONS of the show and characters should be like that? Taylor used to be more or less THAT character, the one that was the paragon of morality and virtue. Perhaps she wants a greater balance of those type of characters. If you think back to the original cast of Y&R.... immoral or treacherous characters weren't the majority. Stuart Brooks and Liz Foster were pillars of morality. Even the immoral ones weren't THAT evil... like Lorie or Jennifer... really, back then Katherine was as wicked as they got, you never had a contract player that was truly a villain. Who does B&B have to fill that virtuous role now? Hope?

I suppose one thing that might benefit both shows, would be to kill off Katie and drop Heather Tom back into Y&R and have her play Victoria again. It would add some realism, since Katie's heart transplant was 17 years ago, and the median age for survival for heart transplant recipients under 60 is 16 years. It's actually quite rare for a heart transplant patient to make it to 30 years.

I tried watching a couple episodes... not too good. This show needs a couple veteran actors to return. My choice would be Lesli Kay and Drew Tyler Bell.

R.I.P.: Eileen Fulton (ATWT - Lisa Miller Grimaldi)

So... I havne't seen any of this, I made the decision to stop watching when Jeanne Cooper died (Seemed like a nice place to end it) so I gather from reading this thread that they killed off Phillip Chancellor IV, and they couldn't spring for an airplane ticket for Jess and Tricia to come back for a few episodes? They couldn't even drive up to Lake Arrowhead and convince Thom to pull a scene or two out of his a$$?- R.I.P.: Eileen Fulton (ATWT - Lisa Miller Grimaldi)
Absolute legend in the industry. Helen Wagner and Doug Hastings were on the air live discussing Lisa when Walter Cronkite interrupted to tell the country that Kennedy had been assassinated. So many years of amazing work that Eileen accomplished, there will never be another like her.- Y&R: Old Articles
