  1. I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
  2. Shannon Peace was the one who wrote for Trina in her heyday and since she left the character has been totally neutered. Tabyana was excellent in those scenes with Jordan (silly though they were) and it remains an embarrassment that she’s been this heavily sidelined for two full years.
  3. God, Carly is such a bitch (evergreen).
  4. When Britt “died” three years ago the only character she had even a wisp of maternal feeling for was Spencer. Because the show likes to pretend Spencer (and Nikolas for that matter) never existed, I feel like they’re just transposing that aspect of her character to Rocco.
  5. I mean it as sincere praise when I say he’s great at looking like he’s genuinely about to throw up.
  6. I mean it’s a *really* big house 😆
  7. I generally assume every man over 30 onscreen is utilizing some sort of hair system.
  8. It’s not that I expect Ned to be aligned with Tracy, but I do expect him to be skeptical of Ronnie. He’s supposed to be a ruthless corporate executive.
  9. I agree with everyone that stacking the deck against Tracy just makes the rest of the Qs (especially Ned) look like ungrateful simps. I thought Martin/Laura scenes were well written today. That sibling relationship is suddenly kind of interesting. Many on this board aren’t fans of Tanisha Harper’s performance, but I thought she was sharp and funny in today’s scenes opposite the always very good Brook Kerr.
  10. As icky as the Rocco/Britt storyline is, Emma asking Rocco to get close to Britt in order to get the info she was supposed to get from Dalton at least suggests that all this is finally going somewhere. Carlo Rota cracks me up. He plays Sidwell with a nonchalance that suggests he’d just as soon try this scheme the next town over once it fails in PC.
  11. Hard agree. To the degree that I want to see Carly at all, I want to see her being a hotheaded hypocrite who’s constantly picking catfights. (Also, let’s face it, no man will ever measure up to her weird dependency on Jason.)
  12. Mustache haters and the “why doesn’t he smile” crowd might enjoy these pics of Nicholas at last night’s Vogue World event in LA. (He’s sitting next to Bruce Bozzi, the husband of CAA CEO Bryan Lourd; if I were married to the head of CAA I would’ve made a similar seating choice.)
  13. I loved the shot (spoiled in the previews) of Alexis’s eyes popping open as Ric holds the knife to her throat. Very giallo. And the stunt with Ava knocking out Ric was exceptionally well done. Just those little bits of craft that GH still does way better than any other soap…
  14. I wonder if CM showed up with a long primetime resume expecting to be a bigger deal on GH than he was ever going to be, then ran into the Mo/Steve wall as everyone does.
  15. So when people talk about the “politics” at GH, they’re talking about FV treating his faves like gods and screwing over everybody else, correct? Or am I missing something?
  16. I honestly don’t get it. We know FV is obsessed with OLTL alums. So he unceremoniously dropped Charles in favor of OLTL grad Chris, then got LW to lie about it on social media? Am I following this correctly?
  17. If I encountered this while crossing the street in Manhattan I would surely get run over by a cab.
  18. Lol by all means! I forgot we’re in October.
  19. Am I breaking board rules by noting that Charles Mesure is voicing some *opinions* on Twitter at the moment?
  20. Here is the full-length Moon Shoe ad 🥵
  21. Yes, they absolutely used Duell’s departure as an opportunity to revamp Michael as a character.
  22. LLC is definitely disadvantaged by the show’s wealth of great actresses over 50. She’s as good as Watros, West, Kerr, etc., but at a certain point the story can only serve so many temperamental rich ladies who look great in a midi dress. I kept thinking this week what a disaster it would’ve been if JE hadn’t agreed to come back full-time a couple of years ago. As good as SB has been, there almost would have been no way to honor Monica properly without her.
  23. I thought the scenes with Anna, Felicia, and Nina were surprisingly well done—playing into the eerie, almost sci-fi quality of Nathan’s return. Their reactions reminded me of the great French TV show Les Revenants, about a town in which the dead return and try to live their lives normally as if nothing ever happened.
