Did anyone else find the way Li kept referring to Finn odd? And why did B&B skip any attempted revival scenes in the hospital?

Then, again, Aly's 'MUH-DAH' went straight to the following morning with an announcement that she was dead. It was jarring and felt like they had skipped an episode.

Why would they attempt to revive when already dead? You are transferred to a morgue, not a hospital when dead.

Sorry if this seems confrontational. BUT please people stop stating the obvious! The angel ASKED for no complains and WHY ARE there still people saying things like this. If you don't like the quality, buy the videoland subscription and do it yourself. I don't want a fight... I just want to say that it seems annoying that a person is doing this for free for us and there are still comments like that all time time after he asked us to stop. Please guys... we don't want to make him stop uploading, right? If you dont have a POSITIVE COMMENT about something you are getting FOR FREE, that someone is giving time and effort to do it... dont say it. I myself said that I think 200.300 mb will be optimal, but I am happy with that too. The official youtube channel is not uploading better than that... They upload 480 type videos... So I am ok with it.

    MILLION THANKS TO ANON4520!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with this. If anyone has an issue with the quality/resolution of the Vault, get a Videoland subscription (base plan costs €5 EUR per month). Someone else said this isn’t possible in their country - this is not correct. Get a VPN before signing up to Videoland - it works, and it’s perfectly fine to do so.

  3. Videoland just aired Shiela and Eric’s wedding. I had forgotten how good the catfight was with Lauren and Sheila in her wedding dress (1532), and when Shiela disowns her mother, Molly. Sheila at her best.
Counting down to Brooke learning about the BeLief contract. Eric and Stephanie’s lawyer (Steve) was so hot! 1993 era was so great.

  4. Thanks to the angel for the recent contribution. To be honest, I feel Videoland/RTL may drop the classic episodes in the next ~18 months or so. From a business perspective, it doesn’t make financial sense for them to continue paying thousands for the broadcast rights when their core audience will inevitably transition to YouTube given the episode output will eventually surpasses that of Videoland.

I am still hopeful and checking every day... I am living in another country and it doesnt allow me to register in videoland.

Anyone can create a Videoland account. I’m not in Europe and have access, all you need is a VPN to stream (PIA or Nord are good). You’re not doing anything wrong by getting an account. You pay a monthly fee just like you would with Netflix.

    Thanks to all.

i have very less time, because i am moving to another place in few months and there is so much todo.

ich already recorded some episodes, but havent had time to upload them. I will tell, when i uploaded new ones. I saw that VL is now in 1993!

    love you all ♥️

Hope your move goes well @rsclassicfanforever. I prefer your uploads because they’re full HD and are complete with closing credits. Looking forward to your uploads from episode 1418.

    Take care.

Will be dropping all 5 episodes of Inside Bold into the Vault early next week (into the ‘behind-the-scenes’ folder).
Note: there are snippets of this documentary on the official YouTube page, however the uncut broadcast contains much more content. Each episode runs for 22 minutes and airs in Australia week of 20 December 2021.

I have dropped these five 22 minute episodes into the Vault. See 'behind-the-scenes' folder.

    Enjoy!

My concern is that someone on the other thread mentioned the YouTube versions have scenes cut. I haven't watched them so I don't know to what extent that is the case. Probably best to preserve both versions if we can.

Thanks for the info. I read that thread, a user mentions the first ever slap between Stephanie and Brooke was cut from the YouTube episodes. This isn’t correct - see 11 minutes into episode 283 (below). Unless they fixed up later?

Do we know for sure whether the YT episodes have trimmed scenes? I know there was a technical error with episode 271 which went dark after 16 minutes - they have fixed that particular episode in the last 48 hours.

TPTB have said they plan to upload them all, which is wonderful news! Especially because it won't take them long to overtake VL.

The only bummer is that most of the YT uploads are inferior quality to the ones in the Vault, however don't carry the Dutch subtitles. The YT versions also are generally in full from what I can see, whilst Amy's versions would often have 5 seconds missing at the start, music muted for copyright, and the end credits regularly altered/cut, possibly to bypass YT copyright. Of course, depending on what the Angels were able to rip in terms of quality, there can be a lot of variance in the quality of the uploads since Amy stopped at 750.

So we probably need to question whether we would rather maintain better quality episodes in the Vault, or inferior quality but at least complete (and without banners and subtitles)? It would free up some space (as long as you got rid of the originals) as the YT episodes are much, much smaller file sizes.

    Food for thought!!

I agree, it would be wise to swap out episodes up to 750 with those on the YT channel. Amy’s episodes, whilst we greatly appreciated her efforts, had sync issues and music muted - most of the fashion show episodes are silenced.

I haven’t checked episodes 750-1000 in the vault, but I assume these are fine quality, albeit a screen recording rather than a backend rip? But I’m not sure.

Videoland now only carry’s from episode 1001 (season 5). Most recent episode they have uploaded is 1436 from season 6.

    Hey everyone.

I am ok and i want to record and upload new episodes starting sunday :)

its because of the work and the holidaybreak, i am not at home at the moment :)

There are 26 new episodes to come ;)

    love you all 🥰

Can I commend you on the quality of the uploads - full HD rip. Thank you, keep them coming.

    Happy new year to you!

  11. When Brooke was married to Bill, KKL was credited as Brooke Logan Forrester on the closing for the entire duration of their marriage. Do they think us fans don’t notice this stuff haha. Most people skip the credits, I actually watch them because I love the aerial footage, and of course the closing theme (however I don’t like the current closing theme).

I think you’re right @BoldKara they must leave the closing credits as a job for the interns 😂

I think they are 10 so far.  they uploaded a clip about Brooke and Deacon' s story , may be the episodes are in connection with that

You're right, looks like they’re only giving us those few Deacon/Brooke episodes. This coincides with “The story of” which drops tomorrow.

What really strikes me is how at first when I saw the episode, I thought the acting was unconvincing. It wasn't until a while in that I realized it wasn't the acting that was worse than usual, it was the emotional cues provided by the music that were missing! And it hit me that the background music that we take for granted actually can make the acting seem more convincing (or less, if it's the wrong music).

100% agree. The same happened to me - it took me a while to figure out the episode had no score. Personally I found the episode less impactful, and the more touching scenes less emotional. It tell us that music is somewhat essential for storytelling, particularly for a soap opera genre. Some soap operas around the world don’t use score music at all - I can’t imagine not having music.

I have the German version of 956 and it has background music, so it's definitely an issue with the RTL Lounge broadcast, not the original US episode.

I can understand versions without dialogue being used for dubbing, but a version with the dialogue left in but the music gone just seems so random (and useful only to aspiring film music composers who would like to make their own background scores for practice).

Content can be distributed with or without a score track too. RTL would have no rational justification to mute the score track unless they did so in error - 5 times. I’m inclined to think the distributor sent out the wrong version.

I am not up to that yet but I just checked it in two different players and yeah, there's no music! So weird! I noticed that's an RTL Lounge video, hopefully it can be found on videoland and be reuploaded. 🙏

There’s actually a handful of episodes without score music. I have come across 4 or 5. I should have noted the episode numbers. I doubt very much RTL/Videoland removed the backing tracks. I suspect there was a mixup with the version the Distributor supplied RTL.

From a technical perspective, there are multiple tracks (voice and music) on content. Broadcasters can opt to receive content with or without tracks for the purposes of dialogue replacement/voiceover into local languages.
