Confirming VL have fixed the error in the past 24 hours. They had duplicated 2154 and 2157, meaning 2155 and 2158 was the same as the aforementioned. This resulted in the correct two episodes being skipped.

They have now added 2155 and 2158, however, confusingly, the thumbnails are still duplicated, but the content is now correct - as is the numbering. Woo hoo!

To the angel uploading episodes… Just a note to advise Videoland have made an error by uploading two duplicate episodes (2154 and 2156) which they have not yet addressed. The duplicates have resulted in incorrect episodes numbers from 2155 onwards. They don’t appear to reply to Twitter requests to fix the error.

Do we know if ep 1948 aired in 1994 or 1995? The end credits say 1994 but the episode guide says it's the first episode of 1995.

If it was the first episode to air in 1995, wouldn’t it have been produced in 1994 though?

Thanks to the angel. The resolution is less than the previous angel was providing, but still good and appreciated nonetheless. It’s definitely much better quality than YouTube - anything is better than that! 

Noticed episode 1941 cuts off at 13 minutes, even though the description says it’s the full 20 minutes.

At time of writing, Videoland is up to episode 2120, Macy and Thorne’s wedding.  

The theme music was slightly updated from episode 2053 (June 1995). This being the episode where Sheila “dies”after taking the Forrester’s hostage and drinks poison. The theme was still 33 seconds after the update. I believe the 42 second version debuted in December 1995 - not sure on exact date or episode number at this point.

The bad quality YT uploads are very much deliberate, as is the missing score music cues on Season 10. It’s purely about business and revenue.

With Videoland (RTL) commencing season 9 just last month, how does Bell ensure RTL get value for money after paying coin. Ah yes, let’s upload bad quality on YT and strip the music, thus ensuring international broadcasters still buy their show. They must continue to appease Videoland/RTL so they stay onboard, what better way than to upload bad quality on YT. Videoland has a broad reach, available to 30 EU countries outside of the Netherlands.

If YT was high quality, a major broadcaster like RTL wouldn’t bother forking out millions to continue buying the rights. If YT was high quality, people wouldn’t pay for Videoland, they would go to directly to YT for convenience, and of course it’s free. The bad quality YT thing is very much strategic. Not buying the “oh, we’re fixing that”

With the latest YT uploads of season 7, episode 1665 has been skipped (Sheila/Eric/Lauren/Scott on Catalina Island). This is the episode where Sheila gives Eric a handjob in bed LOL.

They don’t care. They know the problems exist, yet do nothing. We are still waiting on missing episodes from season 4 which they promised. Seasons 22-26 were uploaded twice (the second time as a daily episode and in worse quality than the initial release). Only left or right audio for half of season 4 into season 5. No background score music or closing credits on season 10. 360p resolution from about season 3 onwards, yet we got 720p/1080p for seasons 1&2. Interns would do a better job.

Videoland episode is fully uncut. The YT upload of ep# 390 encountered an error, like a handful of others (you can “see” the full episode is there when you toggle the player). The official YT channel promised to fix the error at the time, I guess they haven’t. In fact, let’s be honest, the entire YT channel is a joke. They upload seasons that have already been uploaded in full. Interns!?

Some episodes have the subtitles embedded, and some do not. Most of the recent episodes on VL have auto-generated subtitles which can be toggled on/off via the player settings. If you don’t see the on/off toggle (on the player), this means the subtitles are embedded into the episode.

You shouldn’t need your vpn turned on when you’re signing up to VL. Try PayPal as the payment option if credit card doesn’t work.

In Australia, Bold is the #1 show on the broadcasters streaming service, 10play. Data is measured in three ways: overnight, +7 days and +28 days. 10play episodes are same pace as the US.

The last episode I could download and upload to the vault has the number #8895 (2022-11-15). But #8896 (and the following ones) were impossible to download for me.

Thanks for your efforts @Jennybold1974. Perhaps an angel could grab recent episodes from 10play (same pace as US), or Videoland (3 week lag)? Both have the longer international edit.

Haha I feel like going back to the beginning too. However watching 360p YouTube on a 65” TV is horrendous. But I agree with what you said, very grateful we have access to relive these memories. The YT channel needs a massive cleanup, it’s beyond comprehension why they reupload seasons that are already uploaded.

The current angel screen records. A previous angel did a backend rip which extracted the upscaled 1080p file. The quality is still good nonetheless and we appreciate all angels (and their time)

YouTube quality is rubbish, which I believe they are doing deliberately. I suspect they don’t want high quality episodes in circulation, for free.

A HD broadcast (or stream) will upscale the original SD content to make it appear much sharper and crisper, colours will pop. But agreed, it’s still 480p.

They’ve reused that exterior night footage outside Bill’s house. It’s taken from the episode where Taylor (HT) went to Bill’s house in the middle of the night and shot him.
