Omg, Summer and Chance are the next big thing! They are adorable when they interact. Chance was totally flirting with her and then asked her to fill in at a concert of an artist they both love. Soapy goodness coming up!

Seems they are going to have Sharon be too busy to continue with the storeroom sex she had with Chance. I was glad Sharon got to get a little sex out of it since it had been a whole year since Rey died. But Sharon and Chance are going nowhere. Chance and Summer is where it's at!

True!  I feel like Sharon And Chance Was more of A Time Filler than a really rootable couple, no real effort was put in!

Sooooooooo Claire Is Eve After All, Why I Am Not Suprised.....

    Decent Episode yesterday

They did lots of retcons around that time... like in '93 how "crazy Eve" was completely ignored. So it's even stranger that just last week, the show acknowledged "crazy Eve" with that flashback!

And Basically ignored her 1993 return as Victor said 40 years instead of 30! I think they retconned her last return out! I wonder if This is all  to prop Niktor's 40th anniversary with Jordan trying to kill Nikki just like Eve did 40 years ago?

He isn't Rick Daros' son, that is a fan story that got around. I just googled it and I see all the fan sites list his father as Rick. That's not true.

In the 80s clips in the vault, it is established that Eve claims Charles is Victor's son. He does not accept this but did create a trust fund for him just in case. In his will he'd planned to leave his fortune to Victoria (when she was still considered Kevin Bancroft's daughter, although Victor might have known the truth by then) and Cole. That's the reason that Eve tries to marry him and kill him in 1983.

When Eve died in the 90s, they tested the DNA against some other guy. I don't remember his name but it wasn't Rick Daros... @YRfan23 probably knows the exact date to point you to the episode or recap (he knows everything 😅)

Eve and Rick did hook up in the sanitarium and escaped in 1984... I suppose they could have had more children but that storyline never played out (hopefully the Y&R historian doesn't tell Josh Griffith!).

Good to know, I read he wasn't Victor's son in the end but didn't know who the real father was, But everywhere does list Rick as his father

What else is a bit distracting and proves they did retcon some of the Eve/Cole stuff, is that I thought Victor did spend some time with “Cole” (Charles) when he was a kid and I feel Cole would have remembered those encounters?

That besides the fact Cole wasn't his! It was pretty much implied Victor was The Boy's Father in the 1980's, To Retcon that into him being Rick Daros' Son when Eve And Rick Didn't even meet until 1984 When Cole was At least 7 was bizarre! But I Think Bell wasn't paying that Much Attention to Y&R at the Time as much as to B&B!

I wonder if there was ever a scene in the 90s where Jill meets Cole and says “Remember me? You and your mom were boarders in my home when you were a toddler 😂

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wonder If Jill Ever Met either Cole Or Eve after their initial run, With The obvious exception of Niktor's wedding when Eve just Handed Jill the tray with Drinks LOL 😆

Yes, Victor was very abusive towards Julia. She was married to him for 10 years (1971-1981) and went through all kinds of crap. He didn't even allow her to have friends. I'm surprised he let her leave the house to go shopping etc...

Not to mention he caused her to Miscarry! Weird He Did The Same Thing To Nikki some 12 years later

I liked that Nikki and Julia became friends. I guess since she was the first Mrs. Newman, Nikki had a quiet respect for her and realized she did not want Victor back. Julia also rooted for Nikki and Victor to get together.

Jamie would be great character to have on canvas. She and Nikki could have a close friendship.

Why Would She??? People who Complain About how Victor Treated Nikki or Diane Don't know What Poor Julia Went Through!

    I prefer Shane/Kim as well.

I have no problem with MBE on Days.  She seems like a delightful person.  I had a lot of problems with her on GH though.  IMO she seemed way more checked out and unclear of her character there than she ever has on Days.

Lol But then Did ANYONE understand Katherine Bell???? 🤔 🤣🤣🤣 that character was a Trainwreck from day one! Her exit after Being pushed out of the Balcony by Somebody in a blonde wig was her best moment 😆

I never like MBE much in any other Soaps Either! She's Fine On The Bay, But Her Sierra on ATWT Sucked!

I remember a 1983 scene where Nikki was all jealous and insecure about Victor and Julia becoming close again. Julia even said to Nikki "you're acting like a jealous wife". Eventually Nikki made peace with Julia. Remember Julia was at Victor and Nikki wedding and at Cora's Christmas in July at the ranch.

Love that! I think that scene is on the vault! And indeed I love that they ended up becoming friends! It's more than one can say for Nikki with Any of Victor's Other Wives lol And If I Am Not mistaken, Julia was friends with Ashley As Well!

This morning, over a late breakfast I watched Friday’s episode and you know what? I was reasonably entertained. Watching Jess Walton interact with Jason Thompson, Peter Bergman and Susan Walters was a large part of it.

Maybe because I no longer have any high expectations for this show but I decided to take the episode for what it was: veteran performers who have experience in scene work, so they can fill in the deficiencies that exist in the script to generate more interest without being handheld through the process. Ashley opening up her compact and touching up her makeup, trying to play things cool with Tucker, is one example as I doubt that maneuver was in the actual script.

Well that's pure Classic Eileen! Her "superpower" has always been to brighten the simplest scene, making some rather unimportant or Random scenes memorable

Others may disagree but personally, I am fine with tptb leaving Olivia off the canvas. I just don’t trust JG’s pen.  Despite his non-story for Nina and almost nonexistent story for Jill, what makes it tolerable is actually getting to see Jess Walton and Tricia Cast make appearances. With a different actress in the role, it would give even more license for JG’s most errant characterization impulses. The result would like be an unrecognizable character, an Olivia that is pretty much an Olivia in name only. So nah, I’m good.

I Agree, even if when Nate and Victoria's Affair came out i was rooting for Olivia To Come to town and rip into Nate, telling him she raised him better than that and Mentioning how his father's own affair destroyed their family!

Finally yesterday we had a Decent Jill Scene, the Scheming with The Abbotts and Her Reminding Billy she calls him out because she loves him was great! Jess must've been happy to finally have something good to act on!

  11. Well kinda off topic but, Has Maggie Fell off the wagon previous to 2019??? I have thought a lot about that, If not, the scenes involving her relapse were the biggest burning red flags of Ron Carlivati's Blatant incompetence!!! Extremely simple scenes for such a Big Deal as The End of 40 freaking Years Of Sobriety! 😢

Also, I'm not trusting Eric to be a stay-at-home Dad.  When he figured out that he and Sloan don't have a nursery the first thing he went out and bought was a baby gym, rather than a crib, or some diapers, or formula, or baby bottles, or onesies, or...

Doesn't PriceTown have a baby department?

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is there a reason he was meant for church! God know why he does things that's why he was never a Daddy! And to be fair, can we actually be 100% Sure he Is Nicole's Baby Father????? That suit was so confused! Also the timing was awful! Ericole hooked one day and a week later she was pregnant!

Elinor Donahue mentioned in her Archive Of American Television interview that she was being considered for a role on Days several years prior to playing Evil Nurse Honeycutt. She said she was replacing someone in a popular role and even tested in a blonde wig (which she said was hilarious). She was trying to remember the character and the interviewer jumped in and asked her if it was Marlena (Deidre Hall)....Donahue thinks and minute and agrees it may have been that role.......I think Elinor meant Susan Flannery (Laura Horton) before the interviewer side tracked her.

    Laura or maybe even Linda!

Yes, and Elaine Princi was even worse as a replacement for Margaret Mason than JLB was for Susan Flannery.

True! We Went from A Mix Of Krystle Carrington & Tracy Kendall to A Rip-off Alexis! From what I read and Saw, At least Mason's Linda Loved her Kid, Princi's Not so much!

I guess if there was a confrontation between Maggie and Linda, We would have to be content with One With Princi & Rogers!

I enjoy the slow reveal that they really don't know each other very well.  I hope they capitalize on that as the story progresses.

I was reminded of how much I questioned her obsession of him when I was regularly watching 🤣 like She so much younger, Very Attractive, Has A rather successful career, etc. What exactly Eric Has to offer, He is hot (not as much with the look he's sporting these days) but that is not enough to obsess over and get married to them, When I personally obsessed with someone at least it was a person I liked in many different levels, the looks being one of the least important ones

While not sex-on-a-stick, Bergman was wonderful with Jack's scheming, sometimes nasty, entitled, privileged businessman side of Jack.

But, when he turns the sappy on....

It's ironic, If I walked into a place and Bergman and Lester were there, By Looks I would Flirt with PB, But Man When TL turned the Charm on, Darn one Gets to drooling! 😅 As I watched Terry's Jack I realized how sexy he really was! It's like Larkin Malloy as Sky on EON!

It's actually ironic how most Crazy ladies Falling For Jack happened under Peter Bergman!
