Looks like Claire is going to be short term?

Unless she joins the long list of criminals walking the streets Of GC free as abird.

Are we leading up to aRoberta Leighton return?

And what set is Nikki in when syringed?

It's a new set, Nikki plans on going on a trip to see Casey. So I assume that's her house.

It was exactly three years ago in November 2020 and it was worse than the show is now; endless scenes of Abby begging Elena to save Chance’s life while dear Uncle Billy was shown jumping across the rooftops of GC searching for the real assailant as it was the final part of that ridiculous Kansas retcon about the dead gangster.

Chance really does need more to do. I can’t believe a charismatic hunk like Connor Floyd isn’t used more…..wait this is JG’s Y&R so I can believe it. 🙄

You know what's funny? I completely forgot there was another Chance before Conner. I see Donny Boaz in clips sometimes and I'm like "oh he was on this show once."

that Adam story. Remember how he was trying to build a bomb to kill his entire family and kidnapped Chelsea and left her in this dirty room because she found out about said bomb?

  3. Chad/Stephanie/Everett: “We wanted to create a complication in Chad and Stephanie’s relationship. We had laid in way back when that Stephanie talked about a guy that she dated when she was in Seattle and that she thought things were getting serious and then he ghosted her, he just disappeared. We mentioned it a few times and decided to go back to that, and Everett is now in Salem and there’s a bit of a mystery of why is he back now? Is he still interested in Stephanie? Is that going to be a problem for Chad and Stephanie?”

Harris/Ava/Clyde: “Ava and Harris really have a pretty solid bond, but Harris has joined the police force and Ava is getting strong-armed into running Clyde’s drug operation. So what I wanted to set up was this kind of Batman/Catwoman situation — he’s investigating crimes and she’s the one committing them. So will Harris become aware of what she’s up to and how does she navigate it? Gil and Clyde are not really that upset about Harris being a cop. They’re like, ‘Oh, maybe this would be good to have someone that’s so close to the cops,’ and it’s putting Ava in an even worse position. So it’s a complicated romance. I did want to tap back into the mafia princess that she had been because I feel like some of Ava’s edges had been softened a little bit over time and she spent a lot of time making lasagna.”

Gabi/Stefan: “Stefan is fighting to try to clear Gabi of Li’s murder and the noose is tightening around Gabi.”

Xander/Theresa/Alex/Konstantin: “When John Aniston [ex-Victor] passed away and we finally were writing Victor’s death into the show, we thought about what story could generate from it and started kicking around this idea of Victor’s longlost son. So we decided to do a misdirect where you think one person is the heir, but it’s really someone else. So we revealed it to be Alex, knowing that it was Xander, and that Theresa was going to stumble upon the letter revealing that. At the same time, she’s kind of stuck with a problem, which is Konstantin, and it’s in both their interests to keep quiet about what the other one is doing. Underneath it all, Theresa still has lingering feelings for Brady, so will that be a problem for her, too, while she’s trying to move full steam ahead & go after Alex?”

EJ/Nicole/Eric/Sloan: “There’s always a rooting value from the audience for Eric and Nicole, and to raise the stakes, we decided to cement EJ and Nicole, and Eric and Sloan, by having them get married. So we have EJ and Nicole about to have a baby, and Sloan finding it difficult to adopt one because of her bad history, and then Nicole is involved in an accident and goes into premature labor, and she and her baby are kind of in jeopardy. She will receive help from an unlikely source: Leo and Dimitri, who are fleeing town at this exact moment because they are on the run and they are the cause of the accident. Leo stays behind to help her deliver the baby and then Nicole is in distress and the baby needs to be rushed off to the hospital so Dimitri agrees to do it. So we have the adoption falling through over here and Dimitri’s rushing off with the baby over there ... and is it possible these two stories are going to cross?”

  4. Liam/Bill: “We will see Bill Spencer circling this fall. As for Liam, he’s on a path to get Steffy back, and at this point, Steffy is totally committed to Dr. Finn. But there are going to be more obstacles headed their way, so it’s going to be a triangle, certainly from Liam’s point of view. He’s not giving up.”

Eric’s Health Crisis: “This is a love story between father and son, and Brooke will also be part of it. Eric is at the top of his game and at this later stage in his life, he’s still a designer and he wants to be a designer and do his best work more now because there is no tomorrow. But Ridge learns why his father wants to sit at his desk again and goes from annoyed and frustrated to really trying to make Eric’s last days the best days of his life.”

Steffy/Finn: “Steffy has been looking out for the safety of her family, but then she returns. Steffy’s an L.A. girl, this is her hometown, and she confronts Sheila to stake her claim on who the queen bee is of Los Angeles. So that will be one worth watching.”

Hope/Thomas: “Hope has spent her whole life trying to be the antithesis of her mother, good and decent and devoted, but she’s kind of given up on being the angelic girl and decided to follow her desires, which led her to bad boy Thomas. So she’s going through a chapter right now where she knows she’s dancing with the devil. But can Thomas be rehabilitated? Is Thomas capable of that? Will he be a leading man or is he a perpetual villain? We will see that come to light in November and December.”

R.J./Luna/Li/Poppy: “We have the Nozawa family in Los Angeles, and Luna and R.J. have developed a great mutual appreciation for one another. Everything looks like it’s peachy, and Poppy and Luna seem like nice people, but there’s a reason why Li is so cautious and adamant that they’re not going to remain around very long. That mystery will be unraveled this fall.”

Katie/Carter: “Katie and Carter are very much a part of Eric’s story. They’re continuing to see and enjoy one another and we’re going to see lots of them.”

Zende/Paris: “It’s great to have Zende and Paris back. He’s actually not very happy at the moment that R.J. has come onto the scene, who really had no interest in fashion, and now he’s working with the founder himself? Zende is every bit a Forrester and he’s not going to like that R.J. has just come in and leapfrogged him. So Zende is going to have some issues with R.J., and he’s going to be keeping a close eye on R.J. and Luna, too.”

Deacon/Sheila: “Deacon is really driven to the edge. He has his daughter and every sane person in Los Angeles saying that he needs to keep clear of Sheila. He understands her and he believes in redemption. He’s done bad things and now he’s the pizza king of Hollywood. But can Sheila be redeemed? Sheila has finally calmed down but the Deacon/Sheila saga is going to reach a very dramatic peak this fall.”

Taylor: “Taylor’s character is moving in different directions but is still very much a part of Thomas’s life and Steffy’s, and we’ll see more of her now that Steffy is back.”

  5. Newmans: Tensions rise within the newman family as the siblings are in conflict on how to deal with victors conditon. Victor and Nikki will be at odds as she keeps voicing her disproval of his plan.

Not that I’m defending the story, as it’s lame, but I think soaps have to allow people to do horrible things, even if they “set a bad example,” as these incidents surely happen IRL. Victor is a horrible person who had Phyllis raped, etc., so it wouldn’t surprise me if he pulled something like that. I think we’ve gone so far that mere dramatization of ghastly behavior is seen as endorsing it. Sometimes soaps cross the line into glamorizing horrible stuff (like the violence on GH), but that’s poor execution.

The other characters should be the ones taking Victor to task. The problem is after a week or so they’ll be back kissing his @ss, in the same way Phyllis has suffered few real consequences for faking her death. There’s no stakes because characters come through stories completely unfazed.

She’s been the one the show has considered most expendable until VERY recently. I suppose Audra and Claire Grace have given her new life.

I saw those scenes of her threatening audra

The Newmans are so tired to me. Victor is so bored now that he decided to fake dementia just to test his kids because he has nothing else to do. This is ridiculous. Does Abby even know anything is going on with her dad? She’s so isolated from the Newmans AND the Abbott’s somehow.

The only part I'm interested in rn for the Newmans is Claire. Why is she obsessed with them?

  8.

Christian LeBlanc revealed today that the reason he has been absent from the show is that he has been battling cancer.  In June of this year, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, after he started having nosebleeds.   He is now in remission and recently returned to the set, his first episode back will be the Thanksgiving episode

maybe, she's Ashley and Victor's dead baby that Adam killed years ago? And the show cast this actress because she played Abbey at one point and looks kind of like Melissa Ordway. It would also be another sin of Adam's they can wipe away to further clean up his character. lol

That would be something explaining how she survived the fireplace 🤣

Hehe. Probably more than I should be. He definitely looked good in that tanktop more than he did since he returned from his trip.

I thought it was so 'like father, like son' that he was at the punching bag like how Victor tends to be. Has Nick ever done that? I know he goes to the gym, but I can't seem to remember if he and Victor has done the punching bag at the same time.

He's getting that way. Which tbf is how Tucker SHOULD be.

But is he really in the Newmans storyline at the moment? I don't think he is.

Oh no not a complaint, I like him more then I did under Stephen Nichols.

    True, not really rn.

Is there a reason tucker hates Jill so much? I'm fine with him and Mamie colluding just,

I hate to say it...but I've been enjoying it as of late.

It goes without saying how much I love the Mamie storyline.

The Claire storyline has been intriguing to me. Like I mentioned in the Spoilers thread, I just feel like HK has been giving off a psycho vibe. So watching her being slooowwly introduced (remember when soaps did that with a new character?) has been giving old Y&R.

Meanwhile, I continue to enjoy Heather/Daniel/Lily triangle that has been slowly building. And now Lily knows Heather is moving to town. Uh oh.

We know I love the Abbotts and am looking forward to what appears to be Diane/Kyle vs Billy with Jack in the middle.

And yeeeeah, even the Newmans are slowly starting to get interesting again. Victor is TOTALLY faking this illness. That scene with him and Nick (mmmm Nick) after he made another slip was telling. To what end though? And then there's the stuff with Claire so Nikki will be kept busy. And I can even tolerate Nick/Sally/Adam again even though it seems clear Sally/Adam are heading back to each other.

And I actually enjoyed Phyllis getting the upper hand on Tucker. Nice ending.

I think the only thing I'm missing right now is more of Summer/Chance/Sharon.

What i like about Summer and chance is I completely doubt they were even considered. They just have alot of chemistry imo.

I like couples that start like that.
