  1. I could somehow get on board the surrogacy story. Infertility is a reality for many of us. But there's no care or attention to any detail here. What about Chance and Abby going to doctors? Learning what different options are available? Maybe they meet with possible adoption agencies? And why not build up to Mariah's decision -- discussions about how it'll affect her body, how about how she'll feel about letting the baby go after carrying for nine months? And when did Abby and Mariah become BFFs? Another insta-friendship.
  2. Amazing news! Congratulations to AMC fans and kudos to everyone involved. It'll be fun watching this from the ground up and how it'll come to fruition.
  3. I'm going to hop on during real time, and I will do my best to ask. I wasn't following ATWT related things online during the time, and I'm surprised to read that. She gave Kim another grandchild and brought some well needed spunk to the show. I liked how Denise wasn't polished, admitted she had made mistakes, and her character was showing growth. I particularly liked her at WOAK; she had found a place to work and probably could've been a bigger fixture there, but they moved on with Katie and Molly being more prominent on that set.
  4. Upcoming reunion will feature Cassandra Creech, Lauren Martin and Napiera Groves.
  5. That's the one (from btm0815ma -- sept41986atwt3). Thank you!
  6. It took me decades (seriously!) to appreciate Jennifer Ashe. She was spot on trying to portray a nice girl to her mother, all the while wondering how she could be part of the one per cent. There's a scene from the summer of 1986 while Meg was staying with the Walshes, and she was on the phone with Holden. I'm paraphrasing, but she said something like "Did she [Lucinda] know you were there with her precious Lily?". Her delivery was so damn good. There was this glean in her voice and single eyebrow raise that was the true Meg, but when Holden told her to knock it off, she went back to baby sister Meg. I wonder what she would've brought to role instead of Marie Wilson, who I am sure is a lovely lady. She was never Meg to me...kind of wet blanket. Even when Jennifer Ashe had spot duty in the early 1990s, she was a breath of fresh air compared to matronly Iva, who had become a total drag by that point.
  7. It was awesome. I actually enjoyed the interaction after the script more than the reading itself. It was interesting to see some of the actors meeting for the first time, finding out who had met whom before, despite the different eras. No doubt a lot of work and schedule rearranging went into making this happen. Kudos to everyone involved.
  8. Great story sharing today. Looking back, I thought Andy's run was longer. It seemed like it was, and I mean that as a compliment because he truly made that character his own. So Melanie could've been Pam. Interesting. And it was lovely to hear about Marie Master and their offscreen relationship 👍
  9. After the mention of Paul Korver, I had to look him up. Haven't seen him since he left the show. Wow. https://www.instagram.com/paulkorver/
  10. I remember following Cal's accident closely, but I don't recall seeing this episode. I always liked Ben.
  11. If I can piggy back on this too: thank you for your efforts. Much appreciated.
  12. Thank you for sharing. I wasn't aware of the way he was let go during his 2007/2008 return. Gutless. And he makes a great point about why that storyline with Meg made no sense. It was already so soulless then, and they were just throwing things out to see if they would stick. Few scenes with Lucinda, Margo and Katie. What a dark period.
  13. Casey got friend-zoned I remember Casey getting drunk after Frannie gently turned him down, ranting to Dusty about women not knowing what they want.
  14. Rarely, during version one of Rosanna. Even during larger family scenes at the farm, they barely spoke, with Lily married to Damien at the time. Version two of Rosanna saw them interact here and there because of Lucy, Aaron and Craig, but it was Holden who did most of the talking.
  15. I thought Casey and Frannie would've made a nice pair. I know the feelings there were one-sided before Lyla came into the picture. Casey sure had more of a personality compared to Seth. I'm happy we got Casey and Lyla though. Their NYC trip is one of those iconic episodes I look back on with fondness.
  16. That was wonderful. They are my golden generation of this show. I could listen to the three of them forever, trading stories. I wonder how the character of Tom would've evolved if Gregg Marx had stayed in the role. He would've been a fabulous DA. The miscarriage storyline is still vidid in my mind. The way it was told... and to see Margo vulnerable that way. Great stories about Liz Hubbard. What a great afternoon. With all the crap happening in the world, this really put a needed smile on my face.
  17. You are correct. In true soap foreshadowing fashion, a week or two before Holden returned to Oakdale, Lucinda exclaimed "Damn that Holden Snyder. Damn him." I don't remember the context of the conversation. Their scenes locked together in the wine cellar were pretty poignant given their tumultuous history. Lucinda laid it all out, why she didn't think Holden was good enough for Lily, her envy of why Lily always wanted to be at the farm, how she was afraid of losing Lily to him. Lucinda admitted she was wrong and apologized for trying to keep them apart for so long. Their they sat, swigging wine together, hashing out the past. Rewatching those scenes, it seemed like it took them forever to get out of that cellar. I can't remember what it felt like in real time, especially between the few evil visits by Diego or the Kasnoffs bricking up the wall.
  18. Emily's pregnancy coincided with Margo's involvement with Eddie and his dad (?). That was definitely a bunch of crap thrown at a wall to see if it would stick. Things improved a bit with Margo's liver illness, but it seemed to be more a hurrah moment for Katie. At least it gave them some sisterly moments.
  19. Yup. I smiled. I guess knowing the cast felt what we felt, and still do, is rather vindicating. Suck it, Goutman.
  20. Scott's accent is really standing out to me. Funny when you haven't heard someone for years.
