I’m going to say a general family didn’t get a proper send off and that’s The Matthews on Another World. From the beginning they were a core family and spun off some of the most popular characters on the show. I’ve been watching the show via YouTube which has most of 80-81 complete and the way they’re written off is pretty shameful. 

 

Russ Matthews was played by a great actor and had an interesting wife who they literally had blow up and after appearing in the background for a year he simply moved out of town. His sister Pat was another big character who always had story but she randomly moved out of town because of a book that reveals already publicly known things about her. Then her daughter Marianne, who was successfully recast, was written to go live with her husband out of the country. It just seems short sighted to casually remove them, especially since it meant the family dying completely. Their sister Alice remained here and there but was boggled down by bad recasts and when the original returned for some reason they didn’t keep her. 

I was thought Jim set of Matthews had the better stories than Bill & Liz’s children. They killed Bill Jr. early on and was Aunt Janet seen or mention ever again?

I started watching ATWT around 1998 so I miss the glory years and all the good stories. I always liked Lisa relationship with Bob & Kim after learning she was his wife at one point. Speaking of the fabulous Lisa, whatever happened to her other son, Scott? Did that character not take off? And believe I read somewhere Barbara had a brother too.

That’s very true. When Debbi chose to leave, the character should have been written out and Quarterman should have been a new character. I can’t think of a good Angela Hubbard recast. 

I I wonder if other actresses were considered for the role.

No, Nick and Marie never interacted. Nick wasn’t on the show for Alice’s funeral.

Rae was actually on each of the ABC shows for story arcs on each of the ABC shows. On AMC, she found her mother, Myrtle and learned Skye was her daughter. On GH she was there for a while interacting with Skye's surrogate family, the Quartermaines. Even on PC, she was on for a while.  Rae was on ABC from 1999-2004.

Oh ok so she spent quite a few months on those other shows. Only watched OLTL and GH faithfully during that time so I didn’t know, I  just know I didn’t see Rae much on GH. 

How many Frames siblings was it? It seem like 2 or 3 popped up every year or so after Steve.
