  1. The new opening credits have been delayed by a week and will now debut in July 12th. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/hollyoaks/scoop/a236979/new-hollyoaks-titles-delayed.html
  2. I also think this is the perfect place for Kat and Alfie to return to. The Vic will get them to interact with a host of different characters, which they'll need, since so many are gone from the time they were on the show. I hope they keep Shirley on staff at the Vic, and her and Kat develop a friendship. I wonder if Mo will move in with them, and the old Slater house will be used for a new family, since Charlie, Stacey, and Jean are leaving.
  3. I really liked the atmosphere at the Vic when Peggy was away and Alfie and Kat were basically running the place. I thought they really brought a sense of fun to that place, which it hadn't had in a while. I also loved it when Sharon was there in her 2001 return, perhaps the best return ever. I LOVED Chrissie! I loved how Kat taunted her ass towards the end, and when Sharon punched her in the airport. There was so much fun black humour poured into that character. She was probably the best thing about Den's return. I hope Alfie gets to interact with Peggy before she leaves, I always liked their relationship.
  4. OMG!!!!! Am I good at timing or what? Looks like I'm getting what I wanted for Kat and Alfie's return! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a236699/kat-and-alfie-to-regain-the-vic-in-enders.html
  5. Kat and Alfie's first meeting, Kat being a bitch to Janine in the middle of the clip, and stuff with Pat defending Janine to everyone in the Vic. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xwoY-mozas&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xwoY-mozas&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xwoY-mozas&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
  6. Today's episode: The Lucas and Denise scenes were intense when he revealed he killed Owen. Such a brilliant acting job from Diane Parish, too bad it will probably go unnoticed. Don Gilet was great too. This episode also showed how battered emotionally Denise has been in this marriage. Even after Lucas confessed, she was willing to lie to "save" her marriage and keep Lucas. Peggy is pathetic planting that lie about Glenda telling Amy rotten things about Archie so Roxy would get upset. I loved Glenda's line to Peggy about Sam being in prison and disowning her when Peggy was going off on her good parenting tangent. Shirtless Ryan today. I did like when Pat essentially told Ryan that he's no better than Janine. No matter their history and the stuff Janine's done, Pat will always have a soft spot for her, which I like. And again, if there's any proof that Kirkwood hated the E20 teens, today's episode proved it again. They're so secondary supporting now that it's not funny. In the final weeks of the Santer era, they were hogging up all the airtime, not anymore. I liked the stares exchanged by Liz and Denise at the end, no doubt Liz thinks Denise killed Owen.
  7. Roxy, who refuses to believe it.
  8. I forgot to mention, I also think this episode set up well the stuff regarding Archie raping Ronnie and how Ronnie wanted to tell Glenda...
  9. Well, before those scenes, Denise was heard shouting, "Lucas!" in a very scary tone. Then when we next saw her, she was shuck up and in tears. Consumed by guilt and f.ucked up by religion over what he's done. So, he hasn't been focusing on anything else.
  10. She's been creepy and strangely overprotective and controlling of Stacey since day one. I think that's foreshadowing for her doing something drastic in the future.
  11. Kevin Wicks. Jean knows, and so does Max I believe. Lucas is Chelsea's father and Denise is her mother. Owen is Libby's father and Denise is her mother. Lucas of course murdered Owen. I assume you meant who is Jordan's mother? That would be Trina, who Lucas also murdered. They don't know, they think he just left and doesn't want to be heard or seen again. Yes, Stacey's brother. From his Wiki profile: On January 1, 2009, Sean gave Amy to Stacey and asked her to look after her for a few days, but she couldn't do it and gave Amy back to the Mitchells. Sean returned to the Vic and convinced Roxy to leave with him and Amy, but drove them to an icy lake with Ronnie and Jack in pursuit with the intention of driving into the water and drowning as a family. Roxy quickly got out of the car but Amy was still strapped in. When Ronnie and Jack arrived, Roxy coaxed Sean out onto the ice to allow Amy to be rescued. With Ronnie and Jack watching, the ice broke and the pair go under. Sean freed Roxy from the weeds in which she was entangled as Ronnie dove into the water to rescue her. Roxy and Ronnie escaped the frozen lake, but there was no sign of Sean. Roxy saw Sean crawling out of the water while Ronnie and Jack were warming up back at the car. She urged him to flee, and Sean walked away into the darkness.
  12. Today's episode: Diane Parish was brilliant once again. Don Gilet was great too. But did Lucas rape Denise? This episode made me realize how thankfully the teens have been sidelined since Kirkwood took over, they're basically just supporting now. Also, Zsa Zsa and Leon have been sidelined for Mercy and Fatboy. I'm actually liking Fatboy these days, I thought he worked as a great catalyst for Lucas/Denise in this episode. I didn't know the teens were going to dig up Owen's body, but it makes sense. The day to day episodes seem to be fun again too. The stuff with Ronnie, Roxy, and Glenda dancing to 80's hits was fun. I also love how Peggy and Glenda continue to spar. In particular I loved the line Glenda had about Peggy fitting in quite well with the old furniture behind the bar. Becca is a ticking time bomb. She looked absolute mad when Ryan came over to give Stacey flowers, and the way she hovers arounf Stacey is just not normal. I really think she'll be kidnapping that child or hurting her in some way. I also enjoyed the Stacey and Mo scenes towards the end, they were quite effective and touching. I thought it was nice we got shots from different characters as they heard the teens screaming over finding Owen's body.
  13. That article infers they'll be a new team of storyliners, so he's probably just one of many. This is a shock, but we won't know if it's a good thing until the actual storylines and episodes start airing. But, hopefully, it will be a move in the right direction. Same here.
  14. Looks like Maisie is going to be written out, since Alice Coulthard has opted to NOT renew her contract. There's also speculation that Amanda Donohoe might leave in the Fall when her contract is up. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/view/142118/Emmerdale-star-Alice-Coulthard-quits/
  15. I like this acoustic guitar version this fan did, but it would never work as an opening: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  16. I've always hated all of Emmerdale's openings. They're always so damn lifeless and boring and not very welcoming. That opening alone is enough to make me change the channel, and I've never liked their Masterpiece Theatre-like theme tune. Though, I certainly hope they don't green-screen in the farm in the new opening like what Corrie recently did with pigeons in their new opening.
  17. Kris Green's interview with Gavin Blyth: Page 1: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s12/emmerdale/interviews/a235574/gavin-blyth-series-producer-emmerdale.html Page 2: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s12/emmerdale/scoop/a235578/loads-of-emmerdale-teasers-from-gavin-blyth.html
  18. Apparently, the upcoming fire at the Vic will burn the entire thing down, and it's being reported that the stunt will be one of their most expensive. I wonder when they build the new pub, how it's going to look. In the past fires, I don't think the whole set was dismantled. Though, this is being done for the HD update.
  19. Marquess may still be getting rid of more people, a lot of the actors Lucy Allan introduced contracts aren't up yet or close to, so Marquess is stuck with many actors regardless.
  20. It sounds like a Paul Marquess story though. The actress has drama school and theatre experience, so hopefully, she's good. http://www.uk.castingcallpro.com/view.php?uid=199614
  21. Has anyone heard about this spoiler/casting news. http://www.e4.com/blog/ncYSzyGqS6UFcpUWzgfhiR/view.e4
  22. Some behind the scenes pics of the new opening. Looks like they're including many of the adult characters like Frankie and Myra in the opening now. It's in green screen again, so you won't get an accurate depiction of the opening from these pics. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/hollyoaks/news/a235332/behind-the-scenes-at-the-new-oaks-titles.html
  23. Wasn't Elsie Tanner the original UK soap character that was a tart with a heart? I guess that's partly how Jessie got cast.
  24. Christmas death spoiler: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/soaps/3033784/Coronation-Streets-Molly-Dobbs-to-be-killed-off-in-Christmas-storyline.html#ixzz0sBy7rpxK
  25. Wasn't sure what thread to put this in, but since she's returning to EastEnders soon, Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater Moon) is going to be in the BBC Four movie about Coronation Street's origins. She'll be playing former Corrie actress Pat Phoenix, who played Elsie Tanner on Corrie. Daran Little wrote the script for this film... http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a235052/bbc-four-announces-corrie-drama-cast.html
