It seems like they used the full version of it back more in the 80s and early 90s. I especially love when they end a scene with it to make it suspenseful. The earliest time they used it from what I've seen and the DVD edits I have were from November of '83 when Kay tries to press Jill into admitting she's not really pregnant and Jill then faints. It's used like 3 times in a row for those scenes. I'm guessing that's around the time they debuted it.

my favorite Y&R background music of all time starts at 7:41 on the July 7, 1993 episode. Do you have anymore with that full music??

Does anybody have any episodes or scenes from 1986 when Shawn kidnapped Lauren and buried her alive, Paul and Andy finding her, and so on that they could upload?? Been looking for those scenes for a while. Also 1985 episodes as well definitely.

Just bought a 2 hour long dvd of Nikki edits from 1981-1982! I'm excited to see what it has!

I wonder why it is that there's so many episodes of all kinds of other soaps from 1977-1984, yet whenever it comes to Y&R there's barely any, especially from 77-83.

My favorite Brenda Dickson era has to be from around '75-'80. Granted I'm only 18, yet to me from the footage I have and what I've seen, she was (to me) at her most constant state of deviousness, concerning Stuart Brooks, Kay, Suzanne, and Derek. Also, her pattern of speech was perfect then. In the beginning it was too quiet and shy, yet in her 2nd tenure (84-87), it was clear that she was having problems with the cast and the directors/writers because it was almost as if she was saying all those insults to the actors themselves instead of the characters they were playing, therefore it was so overly done that it almost hurt to watch. That's' just my take on it.

I wish there was more footage from 1979-83 (the best period of Y&R, in my opinion). Especially the storylines involving: the Kay/Jill/Derek/Suzanne saga, the insane Edward threatening Nikki, Victor trapping Michael in the bombshelter & the altercation causing Julia to fall down the stairs and miscarry, Lauren's first year, Kevin/Nikki and Victoria's paternity, Victor's "death" from '83, etc.

Does anyone have the 1982 Y&R episode where Nikki asks Kay if she can hide out in the gate house at her mansion since she hasn't yet told Kevin that Victor is the father of her baby?? It also features Kevin and Carolyn having some kind of confrontation. It was posted on this page here. I have no clue lol! maybe since they're private and that only people with the links can view them, they won't have such a problem with it. Who knows??? haha. I just really hope that more footage comes up either in this forum or somewhere of footage of Kay, Jill, Derek, Suzanne, Nikki, Casey, Kevin, Victor, Lauren, Paul, Julia and other rare characters from 1976-1983. those are my favorite years!
