LATEST RATINGS: August 5-9, 2024
At least they went up a little, but not that much. We will see if they go up more in the next one with the Olympics gone. Can't seem to comment on the Ratings blog maybe disqus not working?

LATEST RATINGS: July 29 - August 2, 2024
Big drop for Young and Restless and Bold and Beautiful I think this may be the lowest rating ever for a FIRST RUN episode of Y&R. I know some of the repeats were lower. I know the Olympics had a big effect but GH only lost 18,000 this week. I am sure their streaming numbers are higher this week if only we knew what they were, probably won't be high enough to make the Nielsen top 10 for acquired series. I couldn't find a Acquired series chart for LUMINATE/Variety, just Originals

If it is the speculation I have made on a few The Doctors Facebook page or the Retro page, that's not quite what I said. The World Series was a known preemption, so they would have plotted out accordingly. They knew the first 4 games (The Minimum) were to be played Wed- Sunday, but they could not know whether the game would go 7 Games, so they may have plotted it based on being 4 games. If true then they would have had 3 extra Preemption. And that seems like what we had, The Friday Shower aired on Wendnesday according to a certain Timeline. It also went on for 3 days (maybe just in case it did go 3 extra games. They would not skip an already produced episode, that was not the speculation, The speculation was the re-wrote some of the scripts because the powers that be wanted the wedding to air during Sweeps (which they were doing back then). Sorry this was supposed to have quoted Robbwollf

Yes and no, they knew the World Series was airing at 1PM, and that the first 4 games would play from Wed-Sunday, but the show had no way of knowing that it would go a full 7 Games. We have some strong confirmation that the Wedding aired on Monday Nov 11 and Tuesday Nov 12. The Timeline many are following seems off now, the 2 episodes today would be Oct 31 and Nov 1, and tomorrow 2 Nov 4 and 5, but it is looking like they will actually be Nov 11 and 12, which would be more than one missed episode.. Any Preemption on election day?? Retro just airs what SFM sends them as they are numbered, they don't check each unit before they air it, (Maybe they should)

That would have cost them Millions more, as I understand it they have liscensed 2 years worth, going through 69. They may need the extra AD Revenue to pay for it. 2 years of the Doctors is like close to 500 episodes compared to maybe 60 for a Night Time show, which they Network gets more run Throughs to pay for it.

I don't recall WRCF cutting off any credits, So I would say it is original. Based on a script I read along with, they are not doing much editing, compared to how COZI TV has their shows edited.

It is a co-deal with Weigel, who are the owners of ME TV and Hero's and Icons, so it could also show up on those channels. In 2013 ME TV commented that Barnabas may show up

First if you have Facebook make sure you like their Facebook page and use the Suggest Friends things to suggest all your friends like the page. As far as Cable, You would first have to have an affiliate in your area, since Retro's not a cable Network but a Broadcast Network, Cable can't really Carry RETRO TV, they could carry the affiliate, In my case I would suggest Brighthouse carry WRCF 29.1. But with WRCF being a Low Power station Brighthouse does not have to carry LP stations. and they don't carry all of a stations Sub-channels. If you don't have an Over the air affiliate , then it's best to contact all the stations in your area and suggest they add Retro to one of their Sub-channels. Some area's don't have enough stations, so that makes it harder. It's a crowded field now, so many networks not enough channel space. And the powers behind Sony's GET TV movie Network and GRIT TV, have done the pay for play to get affiliates instead of Revenue AD sharing. Paying Millions to get affiliates is not something every one can do. If you have an affiliate make sure you send them an email or a letter and let them know you like them having RTV on, because with the New DECADES channel and Hero's and Icons, and the reality based JUSTICE Network joining an already crowded field the station has to know there is interest in either keeping or adding RTV to it's lineup. Somehow I quoted you twice, Sorry Also some people have it in their area and just don't know because they have cable. We have to let people know it's like it was in 1968, when most people watched OTA with an Antenna. They could either have a second TV on Antenna or have an A/B Switch so they could flip a switch and go from Cable to broadcast (though they would have to then change the setting in their TV to Antenna for it to work)

There have been some preemptions during that time, For instance Days was Preempted for the Dr King funeral and news on the RFK death on June 6, Days came on just before The Doctors, The episode numbers can't really reveal much, from what I heard they adapted the numbers so a Friday episode ended in 5 even if preempted
