  1. They never used him anyway, which is a massive shame.

I still hate they ignore Andy. I can kind of understand it from a packed canvas type of deal but they're missing beats that could realistically have been played. I'd rather they ignore Jerry (which they seem to anyway). It's a bizarre choice. One hand understands it, the other doesn't.

I agree with John that Andy could have died (but they had to deal with Mark Sr.'s death as well as Roseanne's, to be fair) and Jackie 'erased' him.

They've taken back actors who've done worse, and will likely beg Steve Burton to return eventually after firing him for behavior that should have him banned forever IMO. TC's exit from GH was fraught but not nearly as scandalous as his later exit from DAYS. If he is well it's very possible and I think it would be the best thing for the character, but as I said before I don't know if it's a good idea for Tyler's health or sobriety, and that is more important.

Yep. His mental health and sobriety should come first.

I really don't know if I see Burton back. The show exists just fine with or without him. Jason is a central character (if he's more Quartermaine than Morgan, mind you ...) that should have been fixed a decade ago. I'd accept a recast.

I agree in the sense that news overload is killing daytime television. Stations these days have news from 3-7:30pm!

HOWEVER I support this move because prime time has been struggling for about the last decade. Broadcast networks must fill three hours of prime time Sun-Thu compared to cable and streaming who can just put something out when they have something good (even though they too have a fair share of s***ty shows).

I say give the affiliates 10 PM for news and either move the late night talk shows up to 10:35 or 11 PM Eastern. To avoid this being another "Jay Leno Show" 2010 situation, ABC and CBS might have follow suit -- and they should -- because primetime television is dying.

    I don't disagree.

It would have been nice when they first started teasing Chase and Brook Lynn, but after two years, it's just annoying.

My guess is they were holding out hope for Rebecca Budig to return but when that didn't happen, everything related to Hayden got pulled from the storyline

    Makes sense on Hayden/Rebecca Budig.

I can't believe Chase/Brook Lynn have been going on two years. I felt he had some better chemistry with Briana Lane but I still love the idea of Chase/Brook Lynn. I'm amused by the singing aspect but not sure where else they go ...

Killing the momentum too. Writing them like crushy, nervous teenagers isn't helping either. I love a slow burn, but this is ridiculous.

Agreed on the slow burn but damn ... It's becoming lackluster. And they seem to be losing interest in Chase, which is a [!@#$%^&*] shame. BL should also be bitchier.

Side-note: why is the show ignoring the obvious complication of Hayden in the doomed Finn/Liz "romance" (which it hardly is ... he acts more like her brother than lover; which is hilarious to be because I always thought Easton could have played a recast Tom Hardy)

  6. They never should have dumped Bergeron. I agree they needed someone with some warmth who could say, ala Erin Andrews, the "I've been there; I get it; great job" ... hence Alfonso. He's basically Bergeron 2.0 in their eyes (AFV/DWTS which is what Bergeron did for like a decade)

I'm a little puzzled by the move to Disney+, but it is an interesting one. I'd have dumped The Bachelor on Hulu or something instead. It's like they 'gave up' on Monday nights. Here's a Bachelor spin-off ... I will never understand the fascination with that show though I approve Jesse Palmer as Bachelor/ette host ...

Considering that Chance has to play policeman based in coffee shops with no colleagues apart from ex crim Kevin ....and of course, the whole storyline is ridiculous.

Nate coming to work in the 'business' might have worked had it been set up properly by showing some storylines at the hospital that would lead him to wanting to move on but instead (as usual) we get some conversations.

How many characters have embarked upon new jobs in the past few months?

No offense to Rikaart, whom I love, but Kevin ran his course a LOOOOONG time ago.

The Johnny story feels like they're grasping at something to do and giving us the inevitable Billy/Victoria re-pairing even though they seem to be trying Chelsea/Billy, who somewhat work, but Chelsea feels played out. Love MCE but Chelsea/Chloe leave each other redundant IMHO.

Well Robert could need someone... ;)

Mac can't be the only Scorpio brother in love.

Well with KT/Britt leaving they have a 'slot' open in the packed canvas ... lol. I just tend to err on the side of caution she sticks around 'long-term' but I welcome it. Robert definitely needs something to do.

  9. Pretty sure he kidnaps her again so I doubt she gives him the office chair for a session anytime soon but this IS DAYS. I try to be forgiving but the momentum is so meh at the moment ...

I somewhat liked the tension of Kristen crashing Brady and Rachel's time with Marlena but there's still such a lack of energy and urgency. At least Kristen and Marlena aren't hugging it out and going to lunch ...
