Ok, so I read this and I thought I would share with you all, this is from a TV Guide article about the Nurses Ball, which by the way is partnering up with amFAR (I think that's very cool):

"We couldn't celebrate GH's 50th without another epic Luke and Laura adventure," says head writer RC. "They're no longer a couple, and they may never again be a couple, but their love for each other - like GH itself - is still going strong."

I'm not reading anything into this quote but this is after all a soap and even if L&L got back together, they WILL NOT last since everybody in the soap world knows, a married couple is boring couple and without drama they are back burned. (something no actor wants)

Today I was killing time in Shoppers Drugmart, and decided to pick up the People's special. Anyone who dislikes LnL as much as I do is going to gag - they are really pushing that pairing down everyone's throat. Needless to say I didn't buy it.

But as I flipped through the mag, I had a better chance to look at pictures. The one of TG is a double page spread, although the pic we have is pretty small. I want to draw your attention to the cream coloured square with something grey on it, just above mid-thigh in his picture. That 'something grey' is a head shot of Jane, etched into what appears to be a stone. I just love the way TG keeps pointing all fingers to JE, regardless of what they are forcing Luke to do. There are no other pictures of cast members in his spread.

Well, we knew that was going to happen - I'm not surprised. This is pandering, after all. I'm just happy to see JE is literally front and centre, where she belongs.

Meh, at the end of the day it's a job to them. TG has made no secret of the fact he doesn't want either LnL or GF, but he doesn't have control. Regardless, after the cameras stop rolling, JE and TG still have each other. We're the ones who are missing out - not them.

I am wondering why Tracy is bringing Laura up lately and how Laura and Luke are the greatest love of all (I think that's what she said today, mockingly). Is she jealous? Is this the writers' way of telling us that Laura and Luke belong together? Is this some kind of set-up to bring Luke and Tracy back together as a couple before breaking them up? What is going on?!

Today was the first time in a long time that I really, really felt LuNacy. I know I said something similar awhile back, but that's why I added the extra "really" - to show that this time was different than before. That exchange today might be one of my favorite LuNacy moments of the last 2 years (as I'm trying to remember exactly what happened the last 2 years... lol).

Ms.Q I miss you! Three things. First,this is the first time ever that you were unsure (that ik of) about what's going on?! You're like the SL pyschic when it has anythind to do with Luke/Tracy!

Second,Lol about the 2 yrs thing and third I l♥ved today's episode! One of the many things I ♥ about JE is her distinct mannerisms,tones of voice and emotion put into a scene/words.

That's the thing - there are so many reasons to not like Luke/Tracy/LuNacy, but in the hands of JE and TG, it's just the most phenomenal pairing in the world and you have to love them just 'cause. These two really, truly, deeply adore each other, and the fact that they love spending time and working together, makes their character relationship so much better than anything else they have been put into individually.

This is why it irks me that the writers don't see what is soooooo evident, but are trying to force things that just don't work. And while you can play roulette with JE's pairings and come up with some interesting combinations, god love TG, but he just doesn't have that kind of versatility. When you find a truly good match with him now, why try to force an outdated match just because some viewers think nostalgia has to dictate?

So true. I just still can't get over how long they have worked together and how much love they share! IT just blows my mind everytime.

Just saw who the new recast of Lulu is, which made me start thinking about JMB's Lulu. I'm not crazy about the character now. She doesn't have the fire she used to have. At least with JMB leaving now that the domestic persona has taken over won't impact the great memory and footage of the Spencermaine family we used to have. She had the best for a few years - I can't say I blame her for wanting to leave when the writing is on the wall that Lulu will never be the same.

I know I'm going the new Lulu. I already do (even if she is pretty)

Just imagine how awkward it will be on det without JMB like she created the character Lulu and gave her a personality. The new writters just really killed the character Lulu and I also don't blame her for leaving. It must be painful for DZ,TG,JE and KS to have to see her go.

They did.... Guza was scraping the bottle of the barrel by that time. In my canon, it was all legal, and Luke thought he wasn't, but he was the one being bluffed.

I'll never understand why writers have such a need to turn Luke into a domesticated romantic lead when that was never who he was in the first place. 90's Luke was horrid - and I came to that conclusion long before either Guza or TG said it to the press. The character was totally gutted during that time. Guza gave him his edge back. Arguably, he went too far in the other direction, but at least the character stood for something. I'm afeared we are seeing the slow destruction of Luke Spencer again, because that's the only way an LnL reunion can happen.

Ah, gotta love TG. No matter what crap they throw at Luke or bullsh!t they want us to swallow, TG wants him with Tracy, period. Smart man.

That will definitely be the end of TraLu - besides, that was part of the Spencermaine family. For a few years we had an absolutely amazing mixed family. That's history now, and we're left with the scraps. I'm not surprised JMB wants to leave on a high note. There's not much more she can do in this medium, and she's well positioned to succeed elsewhere.

I do wish her all the best but she will always be the Lulu I once loved

I liked Luke and Tracy's scenes from Friday. I was kind of worried because the last few times they've been on, I haven't been feeling them. But Friday was good.

Note to self: Next time you want to program your remote, make sure the user guide you get online is not from 2003. After an hour, I decided to do another Internet search, and apparently, I needed to add a 1 in front of the code.

I was also worried about LuNacy the previous days. It was probably off-set argument...A FIRST!!!!

I've been feeling them just fine, but I think a few factors are different - one is TG looks to be over his cold, two is they actually have a story of substance rather than his whining about a 'love' that was a joke, three has got to be working with KS again. Of course, all of it underscores my complete conviction that Luke's most passionate feelings in the whole Laura/Scotty/Luke thing have always been and continue to be about Scotty. If they are have a Tracy/Luke/Scotty/Laura story, the only lightweight will of course be overly pimped as always, but at least three of the four are the most entertaining characters GH has ever had, and they are great friends off camera as well - that always translates. The last time the three shared the stage was the Black & White Ball, and the Tracy/Luke/Scott scenes were the best part of that entire experience.

Ahhh the B&W ball. One of my all time faves! It's like a night time ritual to watch a scene of that SL every night!! Ik I'm crazy

My dream/fantasy has come true!! I always imagined Jane (tracy) beautifully dancing and I just imagined her as an amazing dancer,if she were to ever dance. I also pictured her on DWTS,she's be AMAZING there! Singing is included (SHE IS JUST LIKE ME OMG!!!)

I don't think the lack of LuNacy is the reason that the Tracy thread falling to below number one on the list. I think it's a combination of Tracy not being on since early this week and the fact that several other love threads are being started, and they are popular. In the past, the Tracy thread was the only popular one, so it almost always stayed on top. I hope that makes sense.

You know, I've been thinking about this thread and watching it sink from the top, where we used to be a constant. I realize other shows/characters get attention, but it's not lost on me that the heyday of the Lovefest was when Luke and Tracy were at their peak. That's not a coincidence.

I never said I didn't like Connie/Tracy. Two posts ago I was talking about how adorable they are. But I do think Tracy/Kate makes more sense from a personality standpoint. Won't be the same if she's not a little "Connie", though.

I'm okay with Duke/Tracy with him having an ulterior motive, because she'll likely have one, too. As long as he has genuine feelings for her in the end, I don't care too much if he starts out using her. They had a chance with a story they could have told with the guy having no agenda with Tracy(Joe). They blew it. So I'm okay with some "I hate this woman but I have to pretend otherwise". It could be very good, and really....if he gets to know her...what man, once he gets past Tracy's crusty shells....has NOT at least liked her? She's pretty irresistable once she gets a hook in your heart.

Besides...if it makes Anna and Luke jealous, bonus! (though with BOra McFrump around...well....yeah, I'm pretty much of the camp that her sexless butt can have Luke).

UGH to Tracy/Laura scenes. *spits* Cause that's what I think about that hot mess.

FTLOG just keep Tracy and Laura apart. Until and unless we have a Lulu baby shower or something. Even then, please don't give them dialogue together. They have no reason to speak or interact. Period. I think the show has dropped Tracy/Lulu, but even if they haven't..no reason for Tracy and Bora to have to talk about it. I believe Laura already thanked Tracy for looking out for Lulu, back during her last stint. Leave it at that.

Ya know, I have no idea if IB and JE will have true "I ship them" chemistry, but I do believe that involving him with AJ/ELQ is a definite chem test. Didn't Duke tell AJ they needed to do "whatever necessary" to get the relish recipe? I think Duke is going to try and romance Tracy to get it. Could be interesting. Would MUCH rather have Richard Steinmetz back as a lookalike to dead Joe or somehow an alive Joe, but if IB/JE can bring the sizzle, why not?

About Connie...well, crap. If it's TRUE integration though, I would think Kate would have Connie's memories and might still interact with Tracy. I actually think Kate would make a more believable friend, but I can't see Kate being as vulnerable about it as Connie. No more fist bumping, I don't think.

And I want to inform you and Remos that unfortunetly,Laura and Tracy do have scenes. I saw it in a video that included/showed scenes. But those scenes included Duke,Anna and Luke. Duke was like throwing something at Tracy,it looked like he was angry. Other than that I'm not sure what or if they have scenes alone. Just to inform you guys.

Wow, and these are the people who are supposed to 'adore' Tracy? I don't think so. I think they are all in a time warp and myopic when it comes to character development. They've taken Luke away from her, then Lulu, then Joe, and now Connie. Luke, poor bugger, is a shadow of himself, Lulu is obsession over home and hearth like a mini-Laura circa 1990s, which is not who she should be, Joe they killed just as he had potential, and Kate is a pale reflection of Connie. I don't really think these writers have a clue. They want to resurrect old characters, but where is the progression and character growth? It's not there.

Watching soaps is a painful experience these days. I feel like all the writers think the viewers are idiots, so just throw party tricks and 'vets' at them, and they won't notice that their story telling abilities are bankrupt.

God some days I just wish Dante would lie to Lulu again so they could break up once and for all!! Dante needs to be unattached to that once AMAZING character who I so greatly apprecited (when Guza actually gave a shiz about most real relationships) Now all she does is make me want to claw her eyes out! Thank God Maxie isn't carrying their child. BTW IMO Lulu would look horrible as a parent,*GAG* The olden days........

Haven't been watching it on soapnet, I've been taping my local channel, so no to the promos.

Honestly I am way past caring about Lacy as a couple, but it angers me that they were never given a fair shake. I say let Bora have him. I do want Lacy to stay friends if TG stays on the show, but I have to say that since I only cared about him in reference to Tracy, it's not going to break my heart if he leaves.

I don't have a good opinion of GF either, but this is a JE thread and I ain't tainting it with no more talk about THAT one.

Except to say that now that Tracy has her BFF, she's got someone who can punch Bora in her big fat face, if needed. Or Luke, or whoever needed a butt kicking from Tracy. I too am loving Tracy/Connie, and they sort of remind me of Tracy/Zoey back in the day, from The City.

I loooved them so much. If I could get lots of Tron goodness, I wouldn't even care about a romance for Tracy nearly as much.

The fist bump thing on Friday was adorable. They are sweet. I like them.

They have a kind of Thelma and Louise vibe going on, and they make GH bearable because I can't decide what's worse: having Laura back or having bloodsuckers around. I cannot with the vampire mess. UGH

It was pretty cute. They also had another GH50 one by itself and a Carly one (both carly's Tamara Braun and LW)

Sometimes I also really HATE Luke for certain things. Like today for example. Sometimes I just want him to wind up alone,not even with Laura. Like IMO she wouldn't freaking deserve someone who is with Anna (?!?!??!?) and then drops and leaves for Laura?! Like c'mon? Gimme a fraking break!! If he does end up with anyone I'd rather it be Laura than Anna (I'm sowy ) I really HATE AnaL with a passion. I knew he was going for a kiss and I literally covered my eyes and plugged my ears. It's too disgusting to watch. If anything,they wind up the most disgusting,hated couple in daytime history,have Laura and Tracy just look at them in disgust and just walk away thinking what in God's name was he thinking?! Sometimes I don't understand Luke,like he says to Tracy he loves her (and always will,which I'm 100% sure is true but misused ALOT) and then he drops her for freaking Anna?! No offense to my other girl Anna,but she is a disgrace with him... And he tells Laura he loves her and will fight,blah,blah,blah,and goes for Anna? Like did you forget about your supposed "true love"? Uggghhh just had to get that out. The thing is I can't hate Luke forever and will always believe in LuNacy. What's done is done.

On that note,I L♥VE Tracy/Connie. I mean as soon as Connie arrived I loved her!! Her style and accent! And I thought the fist bump was cute too

About the vamps...I LOVE immortal and myths and fantasy and greek mythology!!!! But the way they use it,it don't work here.

I want to see this Nurses' Ball get moving. I really like Sabrina, and if she starts hanging around Tracy more because of everything, then it's pretty clear who this "Lauren Frank" is going to be. I'd much rather her than Britch for the long lost one. Ages match up better, too. Tracy, Connie and Sabrina would be an extremely interesting combination to watch. Those two would have little Brina all growed-up in no time.

Sometimes I really,really cannot stand having Sabrina on my screen. Other times it's pretty enjoyable and since it's you bringing something like this up I can't really disagree.
