Our whole alliance is based on your plot to take Cory Publishing from her. Iris: Well now now Reg, you have just as much at stake, if not more. Reginald: Is that right? Iris: Yes it sure is. Reginald: If it weren't for me, you'd still be rotting in a jail cell Iris: Getting that hearing date to be moved up so fast was truly a stroke of genius. I was even surprised at how quickly it came about. I suppose I owe you a debt of gratitude. Reginald: Oh you're going to repay me. Iris: Or should it be Grant that I repay? Reginald: Because he called those favors in to the Illinois and Texas governors. I suppose. Iris: I know you that you twisted his arm. Reginald: Because I know things he doesn't want to get out. Iris: About his son? Oh come on, I know that's not the only thing you have on the Senator. Reginald: And what would that be? Iris: Oh do you really want me to go over it? Reginald: You don't know anything. Iris: Oh but I do. I know that you know...who shot Grant the day of his acceptance speech...and Grant knows, too. You're an accessory to attempted murder. Reginald: Wow you have a vivid imagination. Iris: I'm making this up huh? Let's see how much more creative I can get, but I'll let you see if you'll tell me. Does Joe Carlino ring a bell? Reginald's facial expression becomes blank and concerned as Iris continues to spill... Iris: Oh I got your attention now. Joe Carlino was not shot while protecting Grant. He was murdered....in cold blood...right out there in front of everyone. How come nobody has solved that mystery yet? Oh I forgot, you've got the B.C.P.D. in your pocket. Reginald: I had nothing to do with Joe's murder. Whoever killed him did it on their own volition. Iris: My poor half sister and nephew are without a husband and father. I got a question for you though, why would Grant get himself shot again? He must enjoy having bullet wounds. Reginald: Votes. Regular votes, and sympathy votes. He would stop at nothing to get that Senate seat. Iris: And you agreed to help him. How sweet of you. Iris gets up, grabs her jacket, and heads for the door. Iris: I don't think I want to know how, but I have an idea. Reginald: You just worry your pretty little head about doing your part after you get control of Cory Publishing. Iris: You're awfully confident that you're gonna wrest that thing from Rachel. For your sake, you'd better. He's itching to start. -------------------------------- HOSPITAL Lindsay walks into Greg's room with a wheelchair and approaches Greg. Greg: Oh God thank you. I'm ready to get started. Lindsay: When Dr. Hudson clears you, we can start. Greg: That's my dad. Lindsay: I gathered that. Greg: What are you doing with that? Are you gonna wheel me around the hospital? You've lifted my spirits. Kirkland: You heard from Steven? Jake: He sent flowers. He's not gonna be able to make it for the memorial. Vicky: He was really torn up when I told him about Michele. Kirkland: Of course he was. Where's Bridget? Vicky: She's right where she belongs...not here! ----------------------------------------------------------------- CORY LIVING ROOM Rachel is livid after looking at her online statistics for Cory Publishing, and Amanda walks in. Rachel: Would you mind explaining this Amanda? Amanda: What? Rachel: There are seven buyout requests that you've approved. That's going to put us in a big hole. Amanda: We didn't have a choice mom. They all pulled out of their contracts. Rachel: Contracts that you approved without my consent. Amanda: I had to make an executive decision. Rachel: You were out celebrating with Allen, and now these same people who he signed are going to pull out. Amanda: How was I supposed to know that mom? Rachel: Because you made an emotional decision instead of an executive one. Amanda: Say what you're gonna say. Rachel: Your attraction to Allen. She blames Bridget. Kirkland: Mom Bridget would never kill her sister. Vicky: I know that she didn't kill Michele, but Bridget was very jealous of her, and she did some unsavory things. Iris: I will have to undo all the damage that she's done to my father's name and his company. Reginald: You will have your chance. It's almost done. Iris: They're so clueless. They don't even know that I set up phony writers, and they're gonna pay me. Reginald: Seems like a fool proof plan Iris. Just make sure you don't try to double cross me. Donna: I understand that, but what you did before her accident, was absolutely irresponsible and you should be ashamed of yourself. Bridget: I am Donna. Donna: Well I don't see it. You stole vodka from Reginald's suite. You tried to keep Michele's acceptance letter from her. You didn't want kill Michele, but you not wanting to hurt her, is a lie. Bridget: How can you say this to me? Donna: Honey you have to own up to what you've done. You did try to hurt your sister, and now you don't even have the chance to make it up to her.
