  1. It was interesting back in the 70s when he wasn't so old. It was creepy in the 90s. I'm glad it was just a kiss and nothing else. By that point I liked him much better as a father figure for her.
  2. Annie was working hard toward that, Khan. If she'd stayed on until Stuart came back from the dead, she probably would have done him too. And yeah, that actor who played Charlie was attractive, but that was about all he had going for him.
  3. At about 3.25 minutes in, there's a really interesting scene with Nick and Erica. She's just left his grandson, Charlie, at the altar, to the relief of just about everyone in Pine Valley, minus poor Charlie. Toward the end of the conversation, Nick kisses her, and then she kisses him back. THIS is why the world thought Erica/Charlie was icky. It wasn't about the age difference. It was that she married his Uncle Jeff, then married his father and miscarried his younger brother/sister, then had a torrid affair with his grandfather, and after the engagement with Charlie is called off, she's in her living room swapping spit with his grandfather again. Earlier in this episode, Charlie comes by to talk to her, and he kisses her goodbye. Comparing the two scenes, she had FAR more chemistry with Nick than she ever did with Charlie.
  4. Nope, happily married. Sorry. And for the record, I really don't think I look all that much like her, but for almost a year, if you showed my son a photo of Lucci, he smiled and pointed at it said "It's Mama!" He never did that with anyone else either. My kids are just weird.
  5. My son is now 2, now almost 3. In the final months of AMC, he'd watch it with me, and whenever Erica appeared on screen, he'd point and smile and say "Is MAMA!" Seeing as how I'm in my early 30s and La Lucci is in her mid 60s, I wasn't sure if he was complimenting me or trying to subtly tell me I need botox. I am kind of "meh" about her new movie, but I can't WAIT to see this show. This looks like it has great potential.
  6. I liked Kendall at first. I liked her through their wedding even. I loved Erica for trying to be a mother to Kendall, trying to play the part Kendall wanted her to play. I loved the idea that Erica had two children and that Kendall was a handful and Erica was overwhelmed with two daughters who didn't get along. When Kendall believed that disgusting lying bastard when he claimed that a barely 14 year old Erica was asking for it, that she WANTED it, that kind of wrecked Kendall a bit for me. I get that she really only heard what she wanted to hear, and here was this man, her father, telling her that no, she wasn't the product of a horrible crime, and that he loved her and wanted her. But logically, realistically, there's no way Erica could have consented. She was too young, and at a bare minimum, Kendall should have been mature enough to see that this man apparently had no problems having sex with a little girl. When she oh so 'innocently' let it slip to Erica that she'd found her father, I was pissed. Yes, I do agree with you that Kendall was floored by what Erica did. She certainly didn't expect that. But then she slipped into Dimitri's room, and she wasn't remorseful AT ALL about what she'd put into motion. It was more like "we could have been happy, you could have been with me, but nope, and look what happened to you. If you'd just stayed with me, this wouldn't have happened." I will admit though that I did feel bad for Kendall when she talked to Erica at the hospital after the stabbing and assumed that Erica acted in Kendall's defense and that it proved Erica loved her. Erica responded that she acted to protect HERSELF because she didn't see Dimitri, she saw her own rapist. You could tell Kendall was devastated, and I did feel bad for her, that she was so hurt... but really, her hurt didn't justify what she did to Erica and Dimitri.
  7. In terms of her trying to break them up: She constantly "accidentally" interrupted them to the point where Erica wanted Kendall out of Wildwind. Kendall didn't want to give up life in a mansion, so she deliberately told Erica that Dimitri helped her find Richard Fields, which led Erica to move out. Then when they tried to reconcile, Edmund warned Kendall that Erica was at Wildwind trying to work it out with Dimitri and that Kendall needed to stay the hell away. Kendall immediately went to them and did her "Oh, I had no idea you were here," act to rub it in Erica's face that Dimitri let her stay - even though Erica had wanted Kendall out. Erica stormed off, and Kendall ran off to the hunting lodge to fling herself at Dimitri, declare her love for him, kiss him, etc. She plotted to sabotage Dimitri and Erica further by showing up on Erica's doorstep the next morning and claiming rape. When Erica had a breakdown at the hospital and it came out that she'd stabbed Dimitri, Kendall said to herself something like, "Well, Dimitri, you got what was coming to you. Now it's Erica's turn" and then dropped a few innocent comments to a sedated Erica about the police coming for her to try to rile her up. Kendall wanted to punish Erica for not loving her enough, for not being the mother Kendall wanted her to be. When Erica rejected her, Kendall threw herself at Dimitri. When he rejected her too, well, we all know what happened.
  8. I had to go Google it - SMG was born in 1977. Kendall was supposedly born in the summer of 1969. I thought SMG had the acting chops to do the part, but she just wasn't believable as a young woman in her 20s, and she sure as hell didn't look like she was older than Charlie Brent, who was born several years into the show.
  9. The scene before that one was Kendall basically throwing herself on Erica's mercy at Enchantment and begging Erica for a second chance. Erica told her that Kendall wanted more than she could give, she wanted Erica and everyone else to play assigned roles in her fantasy, and it just wasn't possible. She told Kendall that Alice Hart was her real mother, and she should go home to Florida. It was obvious how much this conversation hurt Kendall, and yet, it's hard to feel completely sorry for her when she'd spent MONTHS trying to break up Erica and Dimitri. I think what made Kendall almost intolerable for a lot of this period was that she was SO massively immature. It would have been obvious from the adoption papers and from Kendall being a huge Erica fan that Erica was only 14 when Kendall was born, and thus the explanation for adoption was pretty evident. Yet the anger she had at Erica for the adoption was SO huge. Then Kendall's unwillingness to accept that she'd been conceived in rape - most women don't lie about that sort of thing, and despite Erica's rapist claiming that it was consensual, duh, she was 14. She was too freaking young to consent! Kendall was supposed to be 23 or 24 by that point in the show, and yet she's behaving like a 15 year old. She doesn't buy that Erica was sexually naive and inexperienced the night Kendall was conceived, and yet Kendall is "traumatized" by consensual sex with Anton after Dimitri turns her down? Really? I am about the same age as SMG, so I was in my early/mid teens when I watched all this the first time around, and it felt like Kendall was written/portrayed as much younger than she was supposed to be.

  11. Yes, Angela, that user has a bunch of scenes posted from December 1993 of Kendall - her sabotaging Erica/Dimitri's reconciliation after Erica moved out when she found out Dimitri helped Kendall find Richard Fields, Kendall showing up at the hunting lodge to try to seduce Dimitri, Erica dreaming a creepy dream with Richard Fields morphing into Dimitri and him attacking Kendall. Erica then went to the hunting lodge and witnessed Dimitri grabbing Kendall by the arms and shaking her, and inexplicably, Erica WALKS AWAY. She doesn't intervene. She sees something suspicious, and she just leaves. WTF she was thinking there is not really ever explained. Dimitri rejecting Kendall and Kendall flipping out completely is posted, as is her going to Anton and having sex. The way it's shown in the clips, it looks like she starts hatching the revenge plan as Anton drifts off to sleep. Kendall going to Erica the next morning is there, as well as Erica taking Kendall to the hospital and Joe telling her that Kendall may have been raped. Most of the actual confrontation between Erica and Dimitri is not there, but Erica's completely breakdown at the hospital is posted where she shows up and joyfully announces that she killed Richard Fields before then realizing that she stabbed Dimitri. Some of the aftermath of that is posted too. I'm hoping the user has more, and that we'll get to see more of the trial and the aftermath of that. She's also posted some stuff of Kendall telling Erica she's her daughter and Erica trying to make it work with Kendall.
  12. Here's a question for the die hard AMC fans: where were the actual houses that were used as opening shots for AMC scenes for years? I know Wildwind was an estate just outside of NYC. What about Cortlandt Manor? The Chandler Mansion? Linden House? I remember being madly in love with the exterior of Linden House for years and wanting a house that looked just like that.
  13. I lost a lot of my love for the Erica/Dimitri pairing over this storyline because Dimitri was SO stupid where Kendall was concerned. He HELPED Kendall find the man who raped his wife when she was practically still a child. He made so many excuses for Kendall, refusing to see her for what she was. The scenes with Erica testifying were really the end of Erica/Dimitri for me. Look at the way he reacts to her testimony. She is sobbing on the witness stand about a violent, brutal rape, and he just SITS there with a blank look on his face. Yes, okay, she stabbed him, I get that, but this was the woman he supposedly loved and adored, and he has NO reaction to her having to publicly relive the worst experience of her life. Compare that to Jack, who also just sits there, looking like he's going to be sick, like he can barely contain the urge to jump up there, run to Erica and comfort her. I was SO rooting for Jack and Erica to get back together then, and I hated that she was back with Dimitri by year end.
  14. Erica testifying about her rape while, unbeknownst to her, Richard Fields goes after a very young Bianca.
  15. This clip has it all: weird soapy nightmare, lots of yelling, delusions, a fight that is witnessed and misinterpreted, and oh yeah, Kendall flipping out and screaming at Dimitri that Erica ASKED FOR IT. :/ This is leading up to Erica freaking out and stabbing Dimitri. I thought SMG's Kendall was psychotic by this point, but I thought SMG did a hell of a job in this scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og81ES937pg&feature=plcp
  16. Yes, Haley and Charlie had a PI business together, and Nick (Charlie grandfather) hired them for Mona to figure out if Kendall could possibly be Erica's long-lost daughter. They botched the job - her adoptive parents swore she wasn't adopted, and they took their word for it. When Kendall told Erica the truth and then ran, Dimitri hired them again to track Kendall down. He then hired Haley to help Kendall track down Richard Fields, naively assuming that if she knew what happened to him like if he was dead or alive, she'd have closure and move on with her life. Haley went with Kendall out to LA to meet him, and Kendall bought his whole "I'd never rape anyone, and if I'd known I had a daughter I'd have done everything possible to raise you my poppet" garbage and stayed in contact with him. Kendall deliberately let it slip that she'd gone to LA with Haley, knowing Erica would figure it out, and when she did, she left Dimitri. After the stabbing and Kendall bringing Richard Fields to town to torment Erica, Haley pretty much kept her distance from Kendall. Their stories really didn't overlap much after that.
  17. Didn't it later come out that they were kind of a mean girl clique behind the scenes on the show?
  18. Her left hand is on her hip - you can see her fingers on her hip. It's the way she's standing that makes most of her arm disappear from view, and they obscured most of her left shoulder by clone-stamping in extra hair. That's hardly the worst part about that photo though. There are no lines on her skin at all, and they erased her collar bones.
  19. I initially thought perhaps you were referring to the photo Discovery ID put out for Susan's new show - because they really went overboard clone stamping out her wrinkles and adding more hair to her head. Then I saw the link. Um... yeah... if you're going to stick her head on a half-naked body, pick a body that actually resembles hers. This is the ID photo, also badly photoshopped. I'm just a hobbyist photographer, but even I could post-process something better than this.
  20. Poor Susan. If she has the assistance of a good stylist, she looks great. When she freelances, she tends to look like a hot mess. And no, Liza is not a natural blonde. She was blonde as a child but it gradually got darker until she started bleaching it. Personally, I think she'd look better as a brunette.
  21. Thanks for posting that! That picture of Erica and Adam is a rare one - Erica actually looks happy!
  22. My favorite part of that Donohue show is about 28 minutes in: Walt is going on about how un-sexy love scenes really are to film, and Michael Nader interrupts with "I still get a woody." The reactions from everyone are hilarious, and then the show just sort of falls apart after that, and Phil is walking around saying "I used to have control over this show...."
  23. I'm always amused by the way soaps coordinate everyone's attire so they all blend with the same color scheme. And of COURSE she stands out - she's Erica Kane! It helps that she's the only adult wearing vibrant red.
