JG is writing MSs Phyllis the same way they wrote GTs Phyllis in her last months before she got fired  I prefer this Phyllis than the boring way he wrote her the last time. Morina/Griffith never said they had big plans or wanted to do something different with MS/Phyllis, just that they wanted the OG back.  I don't want Phyllis to be the center of the, too much Phyllis not good IMHO. Could she be written better, yes, but so could a majority of the characters on the show!

ETA 19 yrs ago, Phyllis returned, single and ready to mingle, then got thrown into the GBJ kids storyline, didn't find romance until almost a year into her return.

Jontz only appeared briefly after GR departed. TPTB said at the time that they wanted a "WOW!" actor to replace GR, but it quickly became apparent JJ was not it. That's an interesting point made about DG/Cane not seeming to get a going away party. Gina Tognoni got one and it looked like Jason Canela/Arturo did too. Now granted I think that Jason's was thrown by the other members of the Rosales family on Y&R, but at least someone cared enough to give him one, lol. DG/Cane been on the show over a decade. I wonder if maybe he did get one, but I don't know. A lot of the people he was close to/interacted with the most are no longer on the show.

You can rest assure if there was a goodbye party, DG would've posted, he is still posting Lane stuff , and messages from Laners on IG lol

Mamie, Neil, Dru and Olivia were the roots of an entire core family.  And toward the end of his run, and his life, KSJ/Neil had a lot less storyline than DG, whose "Cane" TPTB gave every opportunity to keep viable and the actor threw those chances away.  It wasn't just Traci/BM, it was also Victoria/AH that Cane had a chance to build a romantic pairing with. "Neil" never got a full chance at a full-fledged relationship with Victoria out of fear for racist backlash.

 

Never has DG gone through half of the sh*t that KSJ had endured over the course of his Y&R career and he sure as hell didn't make even half the impact that KSJ made.

 

How dare he!   Now I despise DG's fans even more for building him up with a head full of steam.

I don't know, maybe he is that stupid!

Say what now .   TWICE , he publically snubbed TPTB and tanked two expected pairings and with great arrogance, thought he would continue onward, bridges already burned.  He quietly sat by and watched his mobilized Laners bash BM  Kinds explains why we  so far aint heard ish from his co stars or seen pics of a goodbye party! 

Damn  that's it for DG, today was it for Cane onscreen. Soneone on Twitter, tweeted rumor has it DG refused to tape his last scenes
