  1. Sister Mary Hotpants has been busy. Sorry the updates on stories have been so slow. I haven't been writing much.
  2. TracyLuv, I most certainly do miss you guys. Lots and lots. I saw the episode last night on Soapnet. The mute button works pretty well, in lieu of a FF button. Tracy On = Sound On. Tracy Off = Sound Off. I'll agree with the assessment of the stairwell scene. I loved the TQ/LS interaction. And while I agreed with Monica that it wasn't really the time or the place for a marital spat, I could have slapped her when she ended it. I wanted them to just stay there for hours and bicker--that close, face to face, with her on the higher step so she was actually eye level. (TG is much taller than JE, so she's always looking up at him.) Dillon could stay, as long as he didn't interrupt too much. I will also agree that JE/TQ got the best lines of the show. Okay, can I make a point that just cracks me up? I mean, it just cracks me the heck up about GH on so many levels. Here is this big local charity event. I can see Bobbie there, because well, she's running it. I can even see Mike there, because he's a local business owner and has a "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" connection with Bobby through Carly and Sonny. I can even stretch my mind into Silly Putty and find a reason for Pervy Pete to be tehre....Okay, maybe not. But he's irrelevent. But come on, guys. ALICE? Alice the housekeeper? Alice the professional wrestler? What reason, in the history of all reasons, could the so-called writers have (besides needing B-listers to "worry" about the A-listers downstairs) for bringing Alice into this? I mean, seriously, my mom used to drag me to these boring charity functions years ago--back in the 70s, some of these things were $100 a person. Did Alice buy her own ticket with her minimum wage salary? Because I can't see Edward going, oh, yes, don't forget the ticket for Alice and the gardener and the boy who cleans our pool. Rich people do not bring their household staff to formal events. At no time, ever, did Leona Helmsley turn to Harry and say, "Mouse, make sure that Gertie the third floor scullery maid has an appropriate gown for the GOP thing at the Waldorf-Astoria." Donald never turned to his yard man and said, "Raul, grab one of my spare tuxes and get your butt down to Trump Tower." It's sooooo calculated and stupid. And wow, it's proof that I'm watching on mute/ff, because it's really the only thing I have to whine about. And you know if I was watching the actual A-storyline, I'd have much much much to whine and complain about....
  3. Break is over, but I wouldn't be me if I didn't say WOOT about TQ being on today. I'll catch it tonight on SoapNet. Sounds like our girl had a good day. Tell me she changed her clothes.....
  4. Wow. A reason for me to watch Soapnet @ 10 pm. I'm at work right now, and just can't bring myself to care. Maybe she will have changed clothes for the "charity event" in the "hour" that's passed since Wednesday...
  5. Gosh, I guess I am the only one here to actually *liked* yesterday's scenes. Yeah, I thought the whole "I like being Mr. Luke" speech was a retread, but come on. This is GH. They only give the characters one speech every six months, and then have them repeat it to every person they see. (Elizabeth: I am just doing what's best for my baby. Maxie: Lucky and I deserve to be together. Lulu: But I had an abortion, so...) As for the peformance, they were spot on. Luke was being Luke, ya'll. This is Luke. Remember, the guy we think is perfect for Tracy? The guy all the fans just lurvvvee? Yes, he's funny, sexy, snarky, adventurous, and a hero. He is also self-involved, incapable of taking responsibility in his daily life, dismissive of his loved one's feelings (except for Laura), and glib when dealing with dealing with human emotion. Luke acted exactly like I expected him to ask. I did not expect groveling or apologies. That would have been 100% OOC. And IMHO, Tracy acted exactly in character. She was guarded, but curious. She held her emotions (except for the bitterness) very close to her vest (until the end, when he was already out of the room and couldn't see her face). She didn't let him off the hook, and didn't fling herself into his arms when he made his "I like being Mr. Tracy" speech. This may have hurt her, because she knows he's jerking her around. She knows he loves her in his own way, but she's not sure he loves her in the way she needs to be loved. And I know Tracy enough to know that underneath it all there is a voice saying, "You've settled for so much less so many times before. At least he loves you in his own way. Why can't you just accept it and be happy?" This time, it's Tracy who is determined not to settle. Luke would love to just come back into their cozy little relationship, where she gives everything, and he gives nothing. And Tracy is not going to let him. It's hurting her, but she's going to make him earn it. At least she would, if her brother's death weren't looming around the corner. I think after that, it could go one of two ways: She'll be much more malleable, and turn to Luke in her grief. OR She'll lock up and cut everyone off, and Luke will finally come to his senses and realize that if he wants to help her, he can't just tell her he loves her. He's going to have to show it, in a way that will break through the wall she's built around her. I'm thinking the second option will be the one that happens, but that's just the fanfic writer in me talking. EDIT: I clipped together all the Q/LuNacy scenes from 1/31/07 from Hella Good. Credit to Geena at HellaGood. http://files.to/get/352838/34806/01-31-07LunacyReunited.wmv
  6. Watching Live: Spoiler > > > Scene 1: Started with Q's bickering. Tracy is wearing brown turtleneck--fur is on her coat. Edward says they have to present a unified front because of the bad press from Eduro. Luke walks in on this. Very subdued, shakes Dillon's hand, says Happy New Year's to everyone. Tracy asks for privacy. Edward says don't take too long. Alice welcomes Luke home with a kiss on the cheek. Luke (I think) asks Tracy why no welcome home. She doesn't blink. She shows no emotion. She asks him "What was your first stop? Your real wife? Or your imaginary wife?" Oh, and I didn't see her hands but LUKE IS WEARING HIS WEDDING RING. Scene 2: Luke told Tracy that he intended to visit Laura, but there was no rush. Time was meaningless to Laura. Tracy responded with "So. Me first." Luke then said that they had parted on less than loving terms and asked Tracy if she divorced him in absentia. She said she would have, but she noticed that he went to great lengths to stay married to her during the Laura situation and she wanted to know why. Luke said they discussed that ad nauseum in the pre-wedding conversations. Tracy said no, he was so mesmerized by Laura that he didn't hear a word she said. She said he jumped through hoops to give Laura the perfect wedding, and it would have been much more meaningful if it had been legal. So again, why did he stay married to her? He said that he couldn't be with Laura. Tracy then said, so you settled for me? Then, Lulu Interuptus. Meaningful Glance ™ between Luke and Tracy over Lulu's shoulder. Oh, and right now, Scott Baldwin is visiting Laura at Shady Brook. Scene 3 Lulu and Dillon are discussing Laura, NEm, Helena. HOLY CRAP! Lainey, are you listening? Tracy tells Luke to apologize to Lulu. Luke asks Lulu if she needs an apology, and she plays the Wow, we all grieve in our own way card. She asks him to join her at the Charity Function, but he begs off. Lulu leaves. Tracy maked a comment about how now not only is Lulu forgiving his bad behavior, but she's making excuses for it. Luke asked Tracy if this was about him and Lulu or him and Tracy, because he couldn't do both at once. She said if he had something to say about him and Tracy, he was welcome to go ahead and say it. Luke said, "I like being Mr. Tracy. I like having you for my wife." Then he goes on to say that he has never had a woman in his life who challenged him to the edge of his ability (or something like that), and he was going to stay in the marriage until SHE made the decision to end it. Then he walked out, and Tracy (who's got her arms folded tightly across her chest) makes this little choking sound--it's very, very obvious that she's about to start crying and is forcing herself not to. Her eyes are very wide, and she's struggling to keep it together. End of scene. That was the last we saw of Tracy. We saw Luke later when he almost caught Scott with Laura. He got distracted by Lainey, who confirmed no change in Laura's condition. Luke spent the last week with the doctor in Paris who created the "miracle drug." He's working on new therapies for people with Laura's condition. Luke gave Lainey permission to discuss Laura's situation with the Parisian doctor. We also saw Pod!Dillon and Lulu discussing stealing Alan's PDA to prove he was Rick's killer. Pod!Dillon looked absolutely gleeful at the prospect. He needs to be stopped now. *kicks Pod!Dillon* Luke is in the previews, asking about who gave Laura daisies. No Tracy in the previews, but she might be in the ep if Luke is. /End Spoilers
  7. In the Break Room for a little while. http://pub13.bravenet.com/chat/show.php/1049349012
  8. I don't think Tracy was on today. I checked SZ. Lulu-Dillon-Georgie-PerviePete were on, but there was no mention of Tracy. And trust me, when Tracy is on, she's usually mentioned on SZ. I will try to be in the Break Room tonight around 6-7 pm eastern. I'm feeling pretty sick--I've scheduled a sick day/personal day for tomorrow in preparation for this getting really ugly. But if I can, I'll try to stop by. BTW, love the fairy dust, MsQ!
  9. LOL. I suggested the weekly chat to make it less complicated, and wound up making it more difficult. So here's the deal for me--I promised my wife I would reduce the amount of time I spent online with the Tracy stuff. It was getting a bit excessive, and one of my concessions is that I will only go to the Break Room once a week. That being said, I will be in the Break Room on Tuesday nights, 6-7 ish, Eastern time. Since it won't be a "scheduled chat," I can probably do it from home instead of the computer lab while Fey fixes dinner. I'm not taking myself out of Tracydom, so much as trying to get myself a little more back into RealLifedom.
  10. About the chats--timing is so problematic for me. It's a serious RL issue at this time, and later is more difficult. I'm totally good with you guys scheduling it for 9 Eastern, but I probably won't be able to participate. I understand that the majority rules on this, and am willing to step back in order to make this work. Thanks to MsQ, I still get to read the transcripts, which is almost as good as being there.... SPOILER TALK > > > > As much as I'd like to have Tracy get a juicy storyline from the Scotty publicity stunt...erm, storyline, I doubt it's going to be that he's Dillon's father. It's more likely that he would be Lulu's father because, well, JMB must get that Emmy nomination, and well, that would clear the way for Dillon/Lulu to be a real couple, because they're not step siblings anymore (or second cousins by blood). Also, what is all this I'm hearing fourth-hand about Scott Clifton leaving the show? What is the story, and where are people getting it? End SPOILER TALK
  11. Hi, gang. Sorry I've been so silent lately--it's been a busy weekend. I got Part Five of the Change of Habit story posted. John gets an unexpected visitor at the clinic. Sorry for those beta-ing the AU story--I've put it aside for a while. Real-life is getting in the way of much of my writing, so I am limiting myself to one story at a time. Once I've finished with CoH, I will get back to poor TracyMaryLee Smutbaby. About the chats, would Tuesdays starting at 6 pm Eastern be okay for everybody?
  12. Hey, gang. Just checking out an upload site. Thought I'd test it with one of my favorite of my vids: http://files.to/get/348171/42574/History_Repeating.wmv Can you please see if this works for you guys as well as/better than MegaUpload or Sendspace? I like the idea of it because it has no time limit on the uploads.
  13. Is it safe to assume no Tracy today? Just Boom & Yawn?
  14. "Enduro, Enduro, ENDURO! If I read another word about the damned Enduro condom, I will give the entire Fourth Estate a vasectomy!"
  15. Starting this week, we will be having scheduled, weekly chats in the Break Room. This will allow people who have scheduling conflicts to plan ahead in order to participate in chats. I will post a time/day for the chat on Sunday night and then a reminder on the day of the chat. The weekly chat will be open to anybody who wants to participate. At all other times, The Break Room is available 24/7 for anybody wanting to discuss Jane, Tracy, or just shoot the breeze with other fans. The Break Room is a Safe Zone--in other words, there is a limit on character/actor bashing, ship wars, etc. Venting and expressing different opinions is acceptable, as long as it's done with respect for the other participants. The URL for the Break Room is: http://pub13.bravenet.com/chat/show.php/1049349012 Your browser must be Java-enabled to use the Break Room.
  16. My comments below: MinervaFan Fri, Jan 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM EST Oh, my goodness! Yes, it's time for another pointless, destructive, mind-numbing sweeps stunt from Guza and Company. Yes, it's ALL MOB, ALL THE TIME, and most fans are sick of it. Give me more storylines about people, less about the Mob. Give me Jane Elliot with real dialogue, not KMo weeping and blaming. Keep Stuart Damon in the forefront, and fire Brian Frons. That would keep me GLUED to the screen during sweeps.
  17. You're kidding, right? Have you been watching this show? He (Guza) had her whimpering around fearing Helena at each corner, believing that Luke and the gang were going to murder her...Guza is totally capable of making Tracy look like a coward/fool. I just don't think he cares enough to do so at this time.
  18. Nex, thanks for posting this--I voted for Stuart, Jane, and LuNacy. (Tony Geary won't get my vote until he comes back from vacation, Mr. Vacation-Taking-Guy.....)
  19. Question to the Board: In order to not totally destroy my relationship with my wife, I've decided to scale down a bit of my involvement online with Tracy fandom. Not that I'm going to be invisible, it's just that I'm not going to be spending as much time online at home as I have been. What I'd love to do, if you guys are willing, is schedule a weekly chat night where we can all participate. This way, you guys can still chat whenever you want to, and I'd at least get a chance to chat with ya'll once a week. I was thinking that I could post a day/time at the beginning of the week, and a reminder day of, to let people know when to join in. I know it's an inconvenience, but I really love chatting with you guys, and I'd hate to miss out because I'm not spending as much time online when I'm home.
  20. ILTQ, that would be fantastic. I would love to see Luke and Tracy on the same side for a change. While I think their adversarial relationship is entertaining, TIIC are really missing the boat by not making them allies/partners in crime. Could you imagine Luke and Tracy actually scheming together? The world would never know what hit it!
  21. MsQ, I haven't finished watching the scenes I have yet of the 79 episode, so whenever you can. Oh, and I tried to download the HS scenes with LuNacy, and the link won't work. Can you please repost them? Thanks.
  22. Pretty soon, you'll be uploading clips and writing fanfic and making graphics with the rest of the Obssessed Masses. I worked on a Desperate Housewives fic for Fey last night, so my TQ/JE stuff has not been updated. But a little conversation in the Break Room had me wondering...hmmm, why am I the only one getting hounded for fic updates??? Good question. See, let's just take a little trip in the WayBack machine with Sherman and Mr. Peabody..... Remember when 4XCrazy was still updating Homelands on a regular basis? Remember when Angel2Devil was still adding chapters to Beautiful Disaster? Remember when MsQ was getting poor Tracy closer to delivering that baby? Not to mention poor Dillon in the Waiting Room? Oh, and there's Mr. Keith, who left Tracy walking to the airport months ago... And Regency, well, Regency's got Tracy on a train, with amnesia, lost in a plane crash, and in about five zillion other precarious situations.... Let's see, boys and girls. Do we really feel it's right to just leave people hanging like this? Are you feeling guilty? I know I'm feeling guilty because I've left little Mary Lee Tracy Slutbaby in a state of hypnosis for over a week. You guys have left Tracy hanging for months! Now, what are we going to do? We're going to post updates. Why are we going to do it? Cuz MinervaFan needs TRACYFIC. (Preferably the kind I don't have to write myself...) Wow. I feel better now.
  23. LOL at Fake Tracy! She even got the Cheek Suck Maneuver down.
  24. took a moment off Tracy related things to update my Dana Ivey site (uh, like I hadn't updated it in months!). Just love this picture. Actress Dana Ivey at the Black and White Ball. I so want Jane and Dana to work together. They're my two favorite actresses. I think they would totally work well together--they both have charm, bite, passion, and unbelievable skill and talent. While both can go a bit over the top, they tend to be extraordinarily good at bringing out better performances in the actors they work opposite. So, imagine them playing off each other! Oooh, bliss! And just so I don't go TOO far off topic...a few reminders of why The Divine Ms. Elliot just revs my motor. As Rachel Ray would put it, YUM-OHHHH!
  25. Totally, totally in the Break Room, at least for a little while.
