That is SO what I'm talkin' about! Sorry I've been absent much lately in the evenings--work has been a beyotch--due to vacation/illness, we have been down to about 50% staff on our team since last Thursday. I come home, take a four hour nap, FF through GH, watch an episode of X-Files, then go back to sleep. That is my life this week. Hopefully, things will lighten up--we're supposed to get the two girls who are out sick back no later than Monday. On the TQ front, did anybody else notice how Alice has gone pro-Tracy? I mean, wow. Fey and I were like, *wibble* when she was defending Our Girl yesterday. Even Tracy looked stunned. AND PURTEEEE!

Apparently not. But they CAN spoil in rhyme! Swell.

Oooh, Evil!Edward rears his ugly head once more. I was wondering how long it would take after Alan died for Edward to forget he loves his children. Dawg. DEADWOOD Quartermaine is back. And it looks like Little Tracy finally has a storyline of her own! Whee.

Did anyone besides me notice how fracking GORGEOUS Tracy looked at the end of yesterday's episode? Her face is just so amazing, especially in that last scene where she's being arrested. Great, great day. (I love her interaction with Lulu. Please, please, please, let her have more interaction with Lulu.)

I'm just not happy with who I am anymore--now that Lulu is no longer my main squeeze. I know I've always wanted a career in film, but thanks to the inspiration of Jason and Sonny, I'm going back to SoHo to reconnect with the Solieto family. Granted, it's not the same as when Sonny and Kate were in Catholic school back in Bensonhurst, but I think some day I'll learn to get over my unrequited love for Carly and Jason's Secret Pain of fatherhood. I know you'll understand, Mom, because you've met Sam, and you understand how she is an Everyday Hero. I'm pulling for you, Mom. FWIW, I don't think that was accidental on the part of TIIC. I think we were shown that, and her reaction, for a very specific purpose. Oh, and btw, I refuse to use the term "WOS" because I don't believe it's accurate. Nuff said.

Nex and Hooked, SO MANY THANKS for gathering all the edited clips together. I've been really bad about saving them these last few days, and in one fell swoop (with four minutes to spare to leave for work), I'm caught up. You guys rock the Casbah. Unpopular opinion? I was very disappointed in the fountain clip. Maybe it's because I set my hopes up too high, but it didn't really do much for me. I'm THRILLED to have it, and very glad I saw it, but it all seemed a little too much for me. Too contrived. Although I have to admit, Alan's little snigger at the end of it (at Tracy's expense) was too funny for words. Alan may be a b#$tard, but he's OUR b#$tard. Thanks again, Lady Ashton, for that bit of history! Oh, and thanks, Hooked and TracyLuv, for the plot bunny. I may just do it.....it could work with my next prompt...thinking....

Ya'll, I didn't even get to watch the Fountain Scene yet, even though I downloaded it the other day. Finally have a bunny for the next 100 Situations prompt, and oh, what a bunny it is. Will know more how to frame it after today's show. Here's a hint--either Carrie or Lainey (can't remember) suggested this "pairing" a while back, and I scoffed (scoffed, I tell you). Now, it's not going to be a sexual pairing, but I think it's time for these two characters to interact. Mwahahahaaaaa.... Oh, and Dana Ivey didn't win the Tony Award last night. Pphhhhht! I have one long mangled word to describe yesterday's episode: Yum-TheFrack-OH! OMG. OMGOMGOMG. Ya'll, they're treating LuNacy like a real, you know, couple and stuff! Now this is nothing new--we've been doing that in fanfic for months. But TIIC are SLOW and they need GUIDANCE and they're starting to CATCH ON. Wow. This is huge. Okay, my not-so-brief reactions to specifics: The opening scene: One, they started the show. AND, they started it OBVIOUSLY finishing the kiss they started the previous day. NICE. Very nice. Shows that their kisses last for 23 full hours, which is good for me. Two, even in the face of Luke taking off (AGAIN, thank you freakin' Tony freakin' Geary and his psychotic vacay schedule) WITH Laura in tow, Tracy is calm, smiling, relaxed, even joking. This is a woman who is confident in her love and in her marriage. She TRUSTS him. OMG, she trusts him. This is either a huge huge breakthrough, or a set-up for a huge, huge fall (although I don't feel that at all.) Either way, what bliss! Tracy, lots of it, and good stuff. Scene where they discuss plans: Luke and Tracy discussing Spinelli was fracking hilarious. Downright hysterical. Spumoni, Spumante (yeah, the lush would remember that one....), he speaks about himself in the third person and refers to himself as an animal...a hyena?? I was on the floor. Jane Elliot rocks my itty-bitty sockies, and she can just stand there with her shiny, oomphy hair and make jokes about other characters all day long. Scene with Lulu: Dudes, did ya'll even NOTICE that Lulu was perfectly cool with Luke and Tracy on the same side, scheming? Now, yeah, they may be playing it off as Lulu is numb from everything and she just doesn't care, but I'm seeing more. Luke is planning to "relocate" her mother. Tracy is right there--calm, smiling, compassionate--HELPING HIM. Tracy knows this means Luke will go away, and she's perfectly calm and rational about it. Now, Lulu has been there through most of this--through the gaslighting plot, through Luke's disappearance to the Maarkhams--all of it. She KNOWS how Tracy gets when she feels threatened over Luke. The point I'm trying to make is that not only is Tracy not acting all tense and paranoid at the thought of Luke running off with Laura, Lulu is not reacting to it. She is taking for granted that Tracy is okay with this, that Tracy is relaxed with it. Dudes, she has accepted that Tracy and Luke are a real, solid, lasting couple. She is starting to treat Tracy like part of the family--does anybody remember the last time she called Tracy "Stepwitch?" Maybe I'm overreacting, but yesterday was totally squee-inducing.

*MinervaFan keeping mouth shut about Hooked's driving and parked cars, because MinervaFan herself once hit a parked car in downtown Thibodaux, Louisiana. But that was when MinervaFan had only been driving a few months, not well...a consistent thing.....* Wow. If I had a Jag, I'd park it in bubble-wrap. ETA: Squeeee!!!! They're on, they're on, they're on!!!!!!! And I think they start off the show. Happy Dance O'Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love me some LuNacy. Skuh-WEEE! ETA2: Totally OT. As someone who lives with a person almost died and is permanently scarred due to a drunk driver (who also ran away from the scene of the crime), I find this story oh-so-satisfying. Why is it that if Tracy were to be carted off to jail in handcuffs, we'd be outraged. But when it happens to a REAL spoiled heiress, we applaud? Oh, because Tracy's fictional. Paris is not. And frankly, nobody ever really dies on TV, but people lose loved ones every single day due to drunk driving. So. Freaking. There.

Sorry I've been so silent since Wednesday. We had a MAJOR school-related crisis occur, and I had to take a personal day (my last until December) to help Fey straighten things out. I did watch the show live, but was not really online much yesterday. Our girl looked beautiful, and I adore the direction they're taking with LuNacy. It's still not perfect, nor will it ever be, but there is love there, and respect now, and understanding, and trust is growing everrrrr so slowly. Totally fracking off-topic: Oh, where oh where is MsQ when I need her??? I'm looking for a fat chick hair cut. I am so sick of my hair (it goes down to the middle of my back). I want to cut off my braid and send it to that place where they make wigs for chemo kids, but that would mean I need a SHORT style. Fat face + short style = tricky. I went to Google, searched hair styles for fat chicks (bad idea, btw), and came up short. Then I went to Kathy Brier's site and found a couple of ideas (Oh, Lainey, TracyLuv--there's a picture of her with Dana Ivey at the BCEME Rummage Sale!!!! I'm telling you, it's kismet.) Would some of the more hairstyle-oriented people on this list please help me out--I wish Jane was fat, because she has ten thousand styles to chose from.
